Korey and I were on our way to BWI airport. Last night while we were laying in bed we booked us a last minute flight back to Detroit. He paid for our flights even after I kept telling him I could pay for my own.

"Did you tell your roommate you were leaving?" Korey asked me "yeah" I answered with my eyes focused on whatever was going on outside.

"Does your parents know you're coming back?" He asked me "yeah I called my mom this morning while you were in the shower" I answered him.

The Uber finally arrived to the airport and we had a cool forty five minutes before it was time to board our flight.

Korey opened the door for me and grabbed ours bags out the trunk. I grabbed my bag from him and we headed into the airport.

We walked straight to check in and once all that was finished we sat down and waited for our flight to be announced over the intercom.

* Keenan's POV *

Going to the gym at my school has been apart of my daily routine to clear my mind. It gives me the chance to get away from everything and everyone.

It's nine am and only two other people are in here with me. This is the perfect time to come to the gym when it's not crowded with all the athletes.

I had on my Nike shorts with a pair of Nike tennis shoes and hoodie. My earphones were blasting music and I had the treadmill going fast.

I felt a tap on my shoulder as I was running, I turned the treadmill down and turned around. It was Lani "what's up?" I asked her.

"Tiara's gone" she told me. "What do you mean?" I asked her "she left to go back home" she said "home as in Detroit?" I asked her obviously knowing the answer. "No home as in Detroit" Lani spoke back sarcastically.

"She's been tired and her emotions have been all over the place and she told me she was craving her moms comfort" Lani explained to me.

"This is all my fault" I said "pretty much" Lani answered. "Do you even really want to be with Alexis? Or were you just trying to push Ti away so you could keep your feelings for her from growing?" She asked me.

"I don't know" I answered truthfully. She sighed. "You gotta figure out what you wanna do Keenan" she spoke. "Tiara doesn't want me" I told her.

"How do you know that if you never had that conversation with her?" She asked me "I know Tiara , Tiara always go for what she wants. If she wanted me she would have made it known" I explained to her.

"You act like you can't take the initiative" Lani spoke, I sighed. "What are you gonna do?" She asked me "there's really nothing I can do" and that's truthfully how I felt.

Lani huffed "that's your problem. You literally give up as soon as things don't go your way. If Tiara is who you want , let it be known. Even if she doesn't want you back you still told her" Lani explained.

"I can't go back to Detroit right now though, I promised Alexis I would help her with something tonight" I told her.

"Well, that's your choice I guess, I don't mind Alexis I honestly think she's a cool person from being around her and hanging with her, but Ti was really hurt when you did what you did to her" she said.

"Even if the feelings aren't mutual, that girl loves you and that is something you will never have to question when it comes to her" Lani explained.

"I know.. I know" I messed up bad , I know I did. I knew what I was doing the entire time. I was being childish and wanted her to feel the hurt she unintentionally caused me.

I'm a terrible person. "Just take some time to yourself and think about your next move, even if you choose to not tell her everything at least make things right with her because that is a friend you do not want to lose" Lani said and then left the gym.

As soon as she left I called my mom. She answered after the second ring.

"Goodmorning my son!" She said brightly. Her smile caused me to smile, the relationship I have with my mother is one I will forever appreciate, me and my dad are close but the bond I have with my mother is out of this world.

"Goodmorning ma" I said back "what's going on?" She asked me, "I messed up bad" I told her. "Oh yes you did, and if I could knock you upside down your head boy I swear I would" she said to me.

Every since my mom met Tiara , she fell in love with her right away. That is the affect Tiara has on everyone though.

"Yolanda told me Tiara is on her way back here now, what did you do to that girl Keenan?" She asked me and sounded so disappointed.

"I pushed her away" I answered "Tiara doesn't just leave" she said "I literally pushed her away" I repeated myself.

"All for Alexis" she said "no ma" I was getting irritated now. "Then for what Keenan?" She asked me. "Because I love her more than friends" I told her.

"When are you going to tell her?" She asked "I told her last night in her room and then left" I explained. "I think you get this from your father, he was the same way when we were younger. It took him a long time to tell me how he truly felt. I feel like you and Tiara need to sit down and have a conversation when she gets back. Let her have this time with her mom and get her emotions together first, and you need to decide what you wanna do with Alexis" my mother spoke.

She's always right. "Yeah you're right" I said "I know" she said back. "I love you ma" I said to her. "I love you too son" she smiled and then we got off FaceTime.

I walked back to my room and Anthony was in there doing work. "What's up" I said "hey bro" he said back.

"What you doing today?" He asked "helping Alexis with this photography project for her class" I said to him then left out the room to go shower.

I was in the shower for about thirty minutes and then I finally decided to get out. I brushed my teeth again and washed my face.

I headed back to our room and put on the outfit Alexis brought for me to wear for her photo shoot.

My phone was ringing, I looked and it was Alexis. I answered it "hello?" I said. "Hey I'm outside" she said "I'm almost done getting ready, I'll be down in a few" I told her "okay" she answered and then I hung up.

The fit she picked out was cool. The shirt was giving beach vibes, I had on regular jeans and a pair of 1's.

I sprayed on my favorite cologne and then headed out the room and made my way downstairs.

I looked around for Alexis until I heard a car horn and she was in the drivers seat.

"Who's ride?" I asked her "mine for this project come on" she smiled excitedly. I got in the passengers side.

"You know how to take pictures right?" She asked me, I just looked at her and she laughed "kidding, I know you do" she said while keeping her eyes on the road.

The one thing Alexis and I have always had in common was photography. We actually met in photography class sophomore year.

We arrived to this area that was surrounded by a lot of trees and plants.

Alexis parked the car in between the trees and we got out. She went straight for the flowers and picked out the ones she wanted. I stayed back at the cafe taking in the scenery of this area. "How did you find this place?" I asked her, "I was driving around one day and saw it. I knew it would be perfect for what I wanna do" she said.

She came back to the car and got into the backseat so she could do her makeup. She was starting to attach the flowers onto her face, then reached down in her bag and grabbed a butterfly.

"Is that a real one?" I asked her, "no, but it definitely looks real" she smiled. She grabbed a white blanket and got out of the car. She hung the white blanket in between two trees and handed me the camera.

"Ready?" I asked her. "Yup" she nodded and then started posing for the pictures.

"These look so good! Keenan" she said so excitedly. The pictures were really beautiful.

Alexis has always had this distinct beauty to her. The things she's done to me is what makes her ugly. She has really tried to get better but my heart just isn't with her anymore.

"Are you ready to take yours?" She asked. "Yeah" I handed her the camera and we got into the backseat of the car and she began taking pictures of me.

She showed me the pictures and they turned out great. "This picture looks so raw" she said. Alexis and I were close in the car as we were analyzing the pictures.

She looked over at me and we just stared at each other. It's been a while since Alexis and I have had sex. The last time we did it was right before our last break up, which was prom night in May.

It's now October.

She moved closer to me and attached her lips onto mine. Cupping my face in her hands. I leaned back in the car and allowed her to get on top of me.

All you could hear was our lips touching and our heavy breathing. All I could think about was Tiara.

I stopped kissing her "I can't Alexis" I told her. She huffed and got from on top of me.

"What is it Keenan?"  She was now getting emotional. "You barely wanna touch me , you barely wanna talk to me. You don't even look at me the same anymore. Like I know I messed up really bad and I'm trying I'm trying so hard to do right by you but you won't even let us feel each other anymore" she cried. Real tears were falling down her face.

"I'm sorry" I said to her. "I love you Alexis, but I just can't be with you. I don't trust and I don't look at you the same. You've done so many terrible things to me I shouldn't have gave you another chance in the first place" I spoke to her truthfully. "I thought we moved past that" she said.

"I can't be with someone who's cheated on me four times with four different people. Humiliated me in front of the entire class claiming I was emotionally abusing you. Caused me to almost get kicked off the basketball team. Had sexual relations with my teammate. And hurt my best friend multiple times. That's not even half of the shït you pulled" I said to her.

"I knew this had something to do with her" she said.

Did she just ignore everything else I mentioned?

"I just can't be with you. You make me feel miserable and stupid, I'm ready to go back to my school please" I said and got out of the car and got into the drivers seat.

"No, you're not driving the car Keenan" she cried.

I started the car and Alexis started going crazy. "I can't believe you! I can't believe I thought we were really going to get better" she yelled at me.

"I want you to get out of the car" she yelled at me.

We were in the middle of the highway.

"Alexis stop" I said. "No" her makeup was running down her face. She climbed up front and kept trying to reach for the wheel.

"Alexis!" I yelled at her "stop it!" I was still yelling. "Fück you Keenan" she cried.

She was trying to fight me while I was driving. "Alexis" I kept saying her name but she wouldn't budge.

"I swear I fücking hate you. I hate you so so much" she was hitting on me and I couldn't even keep all my focus on the road. Cars were honking their horns and we were now swerving in the road.

"I need you to stop" I yelled at her. "No" she yelled back and that's when the car went flipping and neither one of us had our seatbelts on.
