"Good morning babe." Nayeon smiled when Y/N opened her eyes.
"Good morning. When did you wake up?" Y/N groaned.
"Why didn't you wake me up?"
"You looked so cute sleeping, I just couldn't." Nayeon shook her head.
"You're the first person to ever say that I'm cute." Y/N chuckled.
"That's because you only show your cute side to me." Nayeon hit Y/N playfully as she cuddled onto her.
"Do you have work today?" The older girl asked.
"No, do you?"
"No. I do need to grade some assignments but I'll just do that tomorrow." Since it's saturday both of them have a day off.
"Then how about we go on a date? We could never go on dates in the past, so I want to take you out on a date. How does that sound?" Y/N asked. It was always risky for them to go out on dates, so they never did.
"That sounds perfect." Nayeon smiled and Y/N kissed her forehead. They both got out of bed and got ready to go out on their little date. Since it's almost noon they decided to have lunch outside.
"Why are you wearing those glasses?" Y/N questioned.
"Because I'm attractive with them." Nayeon praised herself.
"Exactly. You're too attractive with them." Y/N has always liked it when Nayeon wears her glasses. She just looks too perfect.
"And what's wrong with being too attractive huh?" Nayeon approached Y/N and grabbed her collar.
"I won't be able to take my eyes off of you."
"That's what I want though." The teacher admitted.
"Hmm really?" Y/N raised her eyebrows.
"Yes, really." Nayeon pulled the younger closer by her collar pressing their lips against each other. Both their hearts are fluttering at the smallest actions.
"I suddenly remember how you took a picture of me once with my glasses on and you made it your phone background because you liked it so much." Nayeon smiled.
"It's still my background." Y/N has never changed it, even when they were apart.
"Wait, what? You never changed it?"
"Nope, I didn't."
"You're lying." Nayeon has a hard time believing her since they've been apart for more than a year. Would Y/N really still have that picture of Nayeon?
"Well, see yourself. My phone is on the table." Y/N pointed to the table and Nayeon grabbed the phone. When she opened it she saw the exact same picture from a year ago.
"Why did you never change it?"
"It was too pretty. Besides seeing that picture gave me motivation to keep going." Y/N explained.
"You're a fucking jerk." Nayeon suddenly hit Y/N's shoulder.
"Yah, how does this make me a jerk?"
"You're making my heart flutter, that's why you're a jerk." Nayeon feels like a little girl who's having a crush for the first time.
"Yah, don't laugh!" Nayeon scolded her girlfriend.
"I'm sorry, it's just funny." Y/N kept laughing and Nayeon pouted.
"Okay, okay, I'm sorry baby." Y/N kissed Nayeon's forehead which made her smile.
"I'm ready, let's go." Nayeon suddenly grabbed Y/N's arm and pulled her out of the apartment.
"What do you want to eat?" Nayeon asked when they got into her car.
"I don't know. Ramyeon or something like that?"
"Yah, you keep eating ramyeon. Aren't you tired of it?"
"That's the only thing I can cook." Y/N admitted.
"Then you need to learn to cook other things."
"Will you teach me?" Y/N looked at Nayeon, who was focused on driving.
"Yes. I don't want you to keep eating ramyeon all the time."
"Okay, okay. Then what should we eat?" Y/N questioned.
"I'm craving for meat. Is that fine?"
"Of course that's fine." And with that they went to a Korean barbecue restaurant. When they got out of the car Y/N grabbed Nayeon's hand and intertwined their fingers. Nayeon was taken aback by the sudden action. They never really held hands in public before. Y/N would always freak out when Nayeon touched her, but now it's not the same case. Nayeon is not her teacher anymore, so they can do whatever they want.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Y/N asked when she noticed how Nayeon kept looking at her when they sat down at a table.
"I'm just happy that's all."
"Me too, unnie. Me too." Y/N smiled.
"Can I get your order?" The waitress approached their table but when Y/N and Nayeon saw who it was, their eyes widened.
"Minju?" Y/N asked.
"Oh Y/N, Ms. Im..." Minju said weakly.
"Do you work here?" Y/N asked.
"Oh... Y-yes. I work here." Minju stuttered. No one knows that she works at a restaurant.
"Part time?" Nayeon asked.
"Yes, only in weekends." Minju answered. She can't even look them in the eyes.
"Can I get your order?" Minju just wants to get over with this.
"Yeah, yeah. Sure." Nayeon said and they gave their orders.
"Y/N, what's wrong? You look confused." Nayeon noticed how she seems to be in deep thoughts since they saw Minju. Besides Y/N just keeps looking at Minju, which is annoying to Nayeon.
"I am confused. This doesn't make sense."
"What doesn't make sense?" Nayeon doesn't really understand what Y/N is talking about.
"It doesn't make sense that she's is working. She's rich. Like really really rich, her parents never would let her work at a restaurant." Now that Y/N mentioned it, Nayeon remembered how rich Minju actually is. It does indeed not make any sense.
"Then why do you think she's working?" Nayeon asked.
"I have no idea. But something is definitely wrong." Y/N just decided to shrug it off for now, she'll ask Chaeyoung and Tzuyu about this later. They're close to Minju so they might know something.
"Here's your order." Minju came and placed everything on the table.
"Thank you." Both Y/N and Nayeon said.
"Is this the first time you're seeing her ever since you came back?" Nayeon questioned.
"Yes. I know she's close to Chaeyoung and Tzuyu but I never saw her until now."
"Enough about Minju though, I'm here on a date with you. So let's talk about us, not about other people, hmm?" Nayeon smiled upon hearing that. She can't believe that Y/N's ex showed up on their first date. I mean the chances are very low, yet it still happened.
"Y/N I need to tell you something. I don't want to wait with telling you this because you might get mad if I keep it from you."
"What is it?" Y/N suddenly got scared. What could Nayeon possibly tell her that could make her mad?
"You know Jungkook's family right? Ever since I found out about... you know, I've been visiting them and helping them out because I feel bad for them. I just wanted to let you know."
"Ow." Y/N didn't expect this at all.
"So you're in contact with them?" Y/N asked.
"Yes. I'm not telling you this because I expect you to ask for forgiveness or something, I'm just telling you this so that you know." When Nayeon saw how much the family struggled because of Y/N's doings, she decided to help them out. She also grew close to the family, because they're very nice people.
"Thank you for telling me. To be honest it may seem like I don't care about what happened at all, but I do care a lot. Ever since I found out about what happened to his dad because of me, I feel like shit. I feel very guilty and it's actually eating me inside. I did think about apologizing a couple of times, but how can I face them after everything I caused?" Y/N looked down.
"If you want to apologize you should just do it. I think it'll make you and them feel better. They're not the kind of people that would hold grudges. Jungkook is very mad yes. But he mostly is mad because you just act like you don't care."
"You know what, I will apologize. I should face the consequences of everything I did. I can't run from this forever, so you're right."
"You got so mature, it's like you're another person." Nayeon chuckled.
"I was just very stupid back in the day. I don't even understand how you could like me back then." Y/N dived into her food.
"What can I say, I like troublemakers." Nayeon also started eating.
"I'm not causing any trouble right now, though. Does that mean you'll stop liking me?"
"Even if you're not causing any trouble, trouble always follows you around Y/N."
"That's true actually." Y/N laughed. They ate and talked for a while and both of them just had a lot of fun. They missed spending time with each other like this.
"Who's calling?" Nayeon asked when Y/N's phone started ringing.
"It's Tzuyu. Yes, Tzuyu?" Y/N answered the phone.
"We're at Sana unnie's place. You told me to call you when we brought her home."
"Ah yes, Nayeon unnie and I will be there."
"Okay, we're all here be fast."
"Alright, Tzuyu-ah. See you later." Y/N hung up the phone.
"They brought Sana unnie home. Do you want to go check on her?"
"Yeah, of course. Let me pay and we can go." Nayeon stood up but Y/N stopped her.
"There's no way you're paying. I'm paying." Y/N stood up as well.
"What? You never pay remember?" Nayeon chuckled.
"That was because I didn't have any money back then, but now I do. So it's time for me to pay you back, yeah?" Y/N held Nayeon's face and smiled.
"Fine. I'll go to the bathroom in the meanwhile." Nayeon informed.
"Can I pay?" Y/N asked Minju who was behind the counter now. They're both feeling pretty awkward.
"O-oh yes."
"If something is wrong, you know you can talk to me right?" Y/N looked at her. It's clear that something is going on.
"Everything is fine, what could be wrong?"
"I know you Minju, I can sense it."
"Nothing is going on, unnie." Minju answered.
"Okay, if you say so." Y/N knows Minju won't say anything so she decided to shrug it off for now.
"Are you two back together?" Minju asked.
"Yes."
"I'm happy for you." Minju smiled. She is genuinely happy for Y/N. Y/N was a mess and the only person that could fix her was Nayeon.
"Thank you. I should go now. See you later?"
"Y-yeah." Minju stuttered and Y/N decided to wait for Nayeon in front of the restaurant.
"You're done?" Y/N asked when Nayeon also got out.
"Yes, I'm done." Nayeon smiled as she approached Y/N and held her by her collar. Nayeon really loves holding Y/N's collar.
"We should go then." Y/N smiled and pecked Nayeon's lips.
"Disgusting." A woman's voice came from behind them.
"Excuse me, what did you say?" Nayeon approached the woman.
"I said that you two are disgusting."
"And why's that?" Nayeon is annoyed, she knows these kind of people. She had to deal with them a lot when she was dating Jeongyeon.
"You're two girls that are pretending to love each other and as if that isn't enough you're also touching each other in public." The woman made a disgusted face.
"We can do whatever we want."
"Do it at home, not in public. People are disgusted by you."
"Say one more word and I'll show you who's disgusting." Nayeon was about to go closer but Y/N blocked her.
"Mam, we're not pretending to love each other. We really do love each other and if that's something you can't accept then we don't really care. We don't have to change ourselves to please you, so please get out of our way. Thank you." Y/N smiled and pulled Nayeon with her as they went to Nayeon's car.
"Yah, you should've let me pull out her hair!" Nayeon yelled as they got into her car.
"Why the fuck are you laughing?" Nayeon asked when Y/N suddenly started laughing.
"You're just so cute when you're mad." Y/N continued to laugh.
"Yah! I shouldn't be cute, I should be scary."
"Believe me she was scared of you but to me you're just cute." Y/N is just glad that that anger isn't towards her because when it is towards her then hell yeah Nayeon is scary.
"Besides why does it make you so mad? DIdn't you tell me that this used to happen a lot when you were with Jeongyeon?"
"Yes. It's just annoying how no one ever said anything to me when I had a boyfriend, but when I have a girlfriend they think they have the right to interfere with my life."
"That's how it is. It's society. We won't get accepted anyways, so no need to get mad." Y/N tried to calm her down.
"Why are you talking like this? I'm sure this isn't the first time for you as well."
"It actually is."
"What? This never happened to you? Okay, I get that it didn't happen with Sana, but how about Minju?"
"I didn't like to show affection in public, besides I was embarrassed when I was with Minju. She's rich, I'm poor, her father is a businessman mine's a gangster. I knew people were going to judge us, so I just tried to hide the fact that we were dating I guess."
"That's why you're not getting mad, it's the first time you're hearing this. Believe me you'll start getting annoyed after a while."
"Eh, it's okay. They can say whatever they want. It's better than "oh look at her clothes she looks disgusting" "oh wait isn't that Choi Minho's daughter? Poor her." All the comments I used to hear were about my dad. If that changes to comments about us being disgusting because we're in love then I'll gladly hear that."
"You'll change your mind in a few months." Nayeon said and at that moment they arrived at Sana's place.
"I think everyone's here from what I heard on the phone." Y/N mentioned when they got out of the car.
"Oh really?"
"Yes, really." Y/N smiled and held Nayeon's hand.
"Do you want to tell them? About us?" Nayeon asked.
"Yeah, if that's okay with you?"
"Of course it's okay for me." Nayeon smiled.
"Ah you guys are finally here." Chaeyoung said when she opened the door. Y/N and Nayeon both walked in still holding each other's hands.
"Guys, Y/N and Nayeon unnie are here." Chaeyoung said to the others.
"Why are you guys holding hands?" Momo noticed.
"You have three guesses." Y/N joked.
"Holy fucking shit." Tzuyu raised her eyebrows.
"Yah, Tzuyu don't curse." Jihyo scolded her.
"You guys are back together?" Dahyun asked.
"Yes, we are." Nayeon smiled and Y/N hugged her sideways.
"This is the first time that Y/N ever admits to dating someone." Chaeyoung chuckled.
"Because she's whipped that's why." Sana smirked as she joined them.
"Yah, shouldn't you be resting in bed? Why are you walking around?" Y/N questioned.
"I'm fine. I can't rest anymore. I had enough rest." Sana sat down on the couch. Everyone was pretty curious on how Y/N and Nayeon got back together so they kept asking questions. Even though everyone was talking and laughing there was still awkwardness in the room because of Sana and Dahyun. They were both keeping quiet, since they still haven't talked about what happened.
"Y/N unnie, I need to ask you something though." Chaeyoung said.
"Go ahead."
"A man approached me today. He kept saying that he's your dad and that I should convince you to talk to him."
"Wait what?" Y/N raised her eyebrows.
"Isn't your dad in jail?" Tzuyu asked.
"Not anymore. He got released."
"But wait did he really approach you? What did he say? Did he hurt you? Did he threaten you?" Y/N kept asking questions.
"Calm down unnie, he just asked me to talk to you. He didn't hurt me, don't worry about that."
"DIdn't he also approach Nayeon unnie?" Momo asked and Nayeon glared at her. Nayeon wanted to talk to her girlfriend about this in private, but here is Momo telling her instead.
"Wait what? He approached you? When?" Y/N is starting to get really mad.
"A couple of days ago." Nayeon answered.
"Why didn't you tell me? Fuck, I need to go." Y/N suddenly stood up and walked towards the door.
"Y/N where are you going?" Nayeon asked as she followed Y/N.
"I'm going to talk to him."
"Y/N, I don't think that's a good idea." Dahyun informed.
"He should leave my friends alone. He has no right to approach my friends." Y/N said as she put her shoes back on.
"Y/N please, it's dangerous." Nayeon pleaded.
"I'll be fine, unnie. I'll be right back. I'm just going to talk to him, okay? Nothing will happen." Y/N assured.
"But..."
"Don't you trust me?" Y/N asked as she cupped Nayeon's face.
"I trust you, but I don't trust him."
"It's fine, we're just going to talk. I'll call you later." Y/N pecked Nayeon's lips and walked out of the apartment.
"How can't you say anything?" Nayeon asked Sana, who just kept quiet.
"She'll be fine. They need to talk one day anyways."
"I can't let her go there by herself. I need to go too." Nayeon was about to go but Sana stopped her.
"Unnie, don't follow her. Taehyung and the guys are there, they won't let her get hurt. But if you go there as well you might put both of you in danger. It's best if she goes there by herself." Nayeon just nodded upon Sana's words. She knows that Sana is right. Y/N will be in more danger if she follows her.
--------------------------------------------------
Y/N went to her old neighbourhood as fast as she could. She's really mad right now. How could he approach her friends like that? When she arrived at the neighbourhood she started to feel weird. She hasn't been here in a long time and it just brings back bad memories.
"Where is he?" Y/N asked as she walked into the place where the gangsters usually gather.
"Ooooh, Y/N-ah. What brings you here?" Taehyung smiled.
"Oppa, where is he?"
"He's upstairs." Taehyung doesn't even need to ask who she's talking about, he knows.
"I'm going to talk to him."
"Will you be fine?" Namjoon asked.
"I'll be fine." Y/N said and went upstairs. She opened the door of the room without knocking and saw her father sitting on a chair.
"If it isn't my daughter, Choi Y/N." The man laughed.
"What the fuck do you want from me?"
"Aren't you going to ask me how I'm doing?"
"I don't care about that. Just tell me what you want from me. Why are you approaching my friends? Whatever it is that you want, it's me not them so don't bother my friends or anyone who's close to me." Y/N warned.
"You know very well what I want, my daughter. It's funny that you're asking."
"I'm not becoming like you. I'm not becoming a gangster, so don't waste your energy."
"That's what you're saying now, but I'm sure you'll change your mind." The man chuckled.
"Are you serious? You really think I want to become like you after you killed my mom in front of my eyes and then abandoned me?"
"I didn't abandon you because I wanted to. I abandoned you for your well being."
"My well being?" Y/N laughed.
"Yes. You wouldn't have turned out well if you lived with me."
"But I also didn't turn out well without you either. I had to go to a fucking orphanage, and after a few years they threw me out because I got too old. Then they gave me a guardian that wanted me to become a whore just like her. I ran away from her and ended up on the streets. And you're saying that I turned out well?"
"You need to go through hardships to live a good life. You're living a good life now aren't you? You live in a nice apartment, you have nice friends, you even have a girlfriend."
"I grew up with no love. I grew up thinking that the world was a cruel place. I still live with the trauma from my childhood."
"It would've been worse if I stayed with you, Y/N. If I wanted to keep you alive, I had to abandon you." He wouldn't have been able to take care of his daughter while being the number one gangster of the town.
"That's fucking bullshit." Y/N chuckled.
"It isn't. Look Y/N, yes I wasn't beside you but that doesn't mean that I don't know anything about you. Why do you think that I want you to become like me? It's because I know what you're capable of."
"I will never be capable of doing what you do. You're a monster, I am not."
"Stop acting like an angel, Y/N. You and I both know that you're not. I know everything about you. I know how you ran over a man with a car. I know how you dated two of your teachers while you were a minor. I also know how you got expelled because you hit a teacher. Let's not forget that Im Nayeon got fired because you guys got exposed. I also know how you kept getting into fights and how you have anger issues. I know it all." He knows everything, so he knows better than anyone what Y/N is capable of.
"How do you know all of this? Have you been stalking me?" Y/N yelled.
"Yes and no. I always kept an eye on you ever since you got out of the orphanage. When I got into prison, I made sure to receive information about you. The guardian they gave you, was actually my doing." He admitted.
"Are you fucking serious? You wanted me to become a whore like her? Why would you give me a guardian like that?"
"I didn't know she was a whore. She's one of our members so I just wanted her to keep an eye on you."
"I can't believe you were stalking me all this time." Y/N shook her head.
"You also dated Kim Minju right? That was actually very helpful, I need to thank you for that." He laughed.
"What are you talking about?"
"You should've seen her father's face when I told him that his daughter was fucking around with my daughter." He continued to laugh.
"You told him??" Now it makes sense why Minju is working. Y/N is sure that her parents threw her out. Minju's family hates Y/N's father, but she doesn't know why.
"Why do they hate you so much? What did you do to them?"
"You're asking the wrong question, my daughter. You should be asking what they did to me. But if you really want to know, Mr. Kim's brother may not be alive right now because of me." He stood up and got some whiskey from the table.
"You killed his brother?" Y/N whispered to herself.
"Apparently Minju knew about it, yet she still dated you. Imagine how much she loved you to date the daughter of her uncle's killer." The man sat back down as he took a sip of his whiskey.
"You're so fucking cruel. I can't believe you think this is funny. You're ruining innocent people's lives. Why do you enjoy doing that so much huh?"
"Because no one is innocent, Y/N. People only act innocent, but no one is. Everyone gets what they deserve."
"The times that I got attacked in this neighbourhood, they were your doings too, right?" Now that Y/N thinks about it, it's hard for other gang members to enter this neighbourhood so the ones that attacked her must be from her father's gang.
"I'm surprised you're only realizing that just now. Yes they were my doings. I had to test you. I had to see how strong you are and if you could handle them. Let me tell you I was surprised, You're pretty strong and smart for a young girl. And that's exactly why you're just like me. I need someone to continue this legacy, you are the perfect person to do that. I spend my life on this gang. Someone who has my blood has to continue this when I'm gone." The gang is all that he cares about.
"Why me? I know you have other children who have your blood as well. Why don't you ask them?" Y/N doesn't know how many children he exactly has, but she did overhear her parents talking one time and she knows that he has at least two other children.
"Ow, so you know about that huh. It's true that you're not my only child but the other's are pretty useless. They look after their moms, you're the only one that looks after me, just like your older brother."
"My older brother? Do I know him?"
"Yes, you do know him. He's a member. When I die, I'm sure he'll lead the gang well, but it'll be better if you can join him. The two of you together would be so strong that no other gang can come beside you." He shook his head.
"Who is this brother of mine?"
"It's me." A voice came from behind. Y/N turned around and her eyes widened at the sight.
"I'm your brother." Jimin said.
"You're joking right? This doesn't make any sense." Y/N doesn't want to believe it. She always saw Jimin as someone she can rely on. No way he can be her brother.
"I'm not joking. I'm really your brother and he really is my dad."
"That's why he knows everything right? Because you told him everything that I told you. I thought you cared about me but apparently you were also deceiving me."
"Forget it okay. There's no way I'm becoming like you guys. Both of you can go to hell. Please just leave me and my friends alone. You won't be able to change my mind." Y/N informed them.
"We'll leave you alone for now, because I know, one day you're going to come yourself. It's in your blood Y/N. You're talented, you were made to be a gangster. And soon or later you'll realize that. I know you enjoy getting into fights. I know you enjoy the anger. I know that you want that adrenaline. You're just ignoring your true feelings because you're in love. That woman is trying to make you someone that you're not, but soon you'll realize that you are a gangster by heart."
"Whatever. I'm leaving. Please don't bother me ever again. I'm happy with the life that I'm living right now." Y/N bumped into Jimin and left the room.
"Y/N are you okay?" Taehyung approached her. She looks dumbfounded.
"You also knew didn't you? That Jimin is my brother?" Y/N asked and Taehyung nodded slowly.
"I can't believe I trusted you guys. You can all go to fucking hell!" Y/N yelled and ran out of the neighbourhood. She kept running so that she can distract herself from getting angry until her phone started ringing. It's Nayeon.
"Oh my God Y/N, where are you? Are you okay?" Nayeon yelled through the phone.
"I'm okay. Don't worry about me."
"Are you sure? You don't sound okay."
"I'm okay really." Y/N assured.
"Where are you? Do you want me to come?"
"No, no. It's okay. I'm going home, right now. Can we talk tomorrow?" Y/N just needs to be alone for now.
"O-okay, if that's what you want."
"Thank you. I'll call you later." Y/N hung up the phone and went home.
----------------------------------------------
"Ah Y/N-ah you're home?" Tiffany asked when Y/N walked in.
"Yeah, I'll be in my room." Y/N walked straight to her room.
"You're not going to eat?" Tiffany followed her to her room.
"No."
"Y/N what's wrong?"
"Nothing. I just need to be alone, please?"
"Okay." Tiffany has seen Y/N like this many times. She knows that in this kind of situation the best thing to do is leave the teenager alone. So she just walked back to the living room. Right at that moment her phone started ringing.
"I'm sorry for calling but is Y/N home?" It's Nayeon, she just needs to make sure that Y/N really is home.
"Yeah, she just came. She doesn't look good though. Did something happen between you two?"
"No, she went to her dad. I'm really worried about her. Should I come by?" Nayeon asked.
"I don't think that's a good idea, Nayeon-ah. Y/N really needs to be alone in a situation like this. I think she's angry, she needs time to cool down." Tiffany informed.
"Okay, then I'll come tomorrow. Can you please call me when something's wrong?"
"Yes, don't worry. I'm here." Tiffany assured.
"Thank you so much." Nayeon hung up the phone. She really wants to go to Y/N right now but she's scared that Y/N might take out her anger on her.
On the other hand Y/N is freaking out in her room. Her dad's words really got to her, because they're true... Y/N has been trying years to get rid of that anger and that evil that's inside of her. But can you really get rid of something that you were born with? Y/N doesn't want to be like this. She doesn't want to be evil, but as much as she tries to get rid of it, a small part will always stay. She still has the urge to hurt and even to kill sometimes. It isn't as much as before, but it's still there. If her father hadn't killed her mother and if he hadn't abandoned her, she probably would've become a gangster. Because like he said, it's in her blood. She was made to be one of them and she knows it. But she doesn't want it. She wants to live a life away from danger with her girlfriend and her friends. That's why she thought of becoming a cop, she'll still get that adrenaline without being a gangster. She thought that when she becomes a cop the urge to become a gangster will disappear. But why does it feel like the urge to become one of them will never disappear?
