Chapter 47

When Nayeon came home from the hospital, she slept for a few hours since she couldn't get much sleep in the hospital. When she woke up the first thing she thought of was Y/N. She wonders how Y/N is doing right now. She must be having a hard time after seeing the person she hates the most, which is her dad. Nayeon tried calling Y/N, but Y/N isn't picking up, so she decided to just go to the younger girl's place even though it's a bit late.

"Oh hey Nayeon-ssi come in." Tiffany said when she opened the door.

"Is Y/N here? I've been calling her but she isn't answering."

"Yeah, she's in her room."

"How is she doing?" Nayeon asked.

"I'm not sure. She's acting weird and I can see she's anxious."

"I'll go check on her." Nayeon smiled weakly and went to Y/N's room. Y/N doesn't know how she's feeling right now. Ever since she saw that man, she's been feeling weird things. She just wants to find him and teach him a lesson for all the trauma he caused her. She's feeling angry and anxious and she doesn't know how to stop this stupid feeling.

"Y/N?" Nayeon opened the door slowly and saw Y/N on her bed.

"Unnie? What are you doing here?"

"No, no, don't stand up. I'm just here to see how you're doing." She informed and Y/N patted the space next to her for Nayeon to sit.

"Are you okay? We didn't really have the chance to talk about what happened." Nayeon sat down on the bed next to Y/N.

"I'm okay, I guess." Y/N sighed.

"You look very tired. I probably shouldn't have come." Nayeon was about to stand up but Y/N stopped her by holding her arm.

"Stay? Please." Y/N's eyes look sad so Nayeon immediately obeyed.

"I admit that seeing him again did something to me. I'm feeling angry and anxious but it's not like before. I'm surprised that I didn't attack him, but this was what I was scared of all along. I'm scared that he'll drag me into his mess again. He has this effect on me that no one else has, he can make me do whatever he wants and it just worries me." Y/N shared her feelings.

"Y/N you're stronger than you were before. I'm sure that if you put your mind to it, he won't be able to deceive you."

"I don't know, I still don't feel like I've changed or that I'm stronger. If I actually had changed, I wouldn't be feeling this way right now." Y/N shook her head.

"Look at me." Nayeon got closer to Y/N.

"You did change and you are stronger than before. A year ago you definitely would have attacked him, but now you managed to control yourself. You're not doing it in a healthy way, but you still managed to control yourself despite all the hate that you have towards him. I think that's a huge improvement."

"I know but like you said I'm not doing it in a healthy way. I just want to be able to control myself without trying too much or without risking my health." This is why Y/N still feels like she's not the person that Nayeon deserves. She has to pull all kinds of tricks to control herself and she knows that eventually they won't work anymore.

"We just need to work on it. I'm sure there are ways for you to learn to control yourself in a healthy way. I will help you and we'll figure it out together." Nayeon caressed the younger's arm.

"Unnie, you don't have to. I was  burdensome to you in the past and I don't want to be that again. I don't want to repeat my mistakes."

"Y/N you were never burdensome to me, especially not now. You're already doing most of the work. It's normal for you to get angry at things like that. Remember how you used to get angry every single day for very small things such as someone touching you accidentally? Do small things like that still make you mad?" Nayeon raised her eyebrows. Y/N used to have a lot of confidence, but it feels like she's missing some of that right now.

"No, not at all actually." Y/N hasn't gotten angry at minor things in a long time.

"Tell me how many times have you gotten angry ever since you came back?"

"Maybe like 3 or 4 times?" Y/N isn't so sure about how many times that she got really angry but it wasn't a lot.

"Do you see the improvement Y/N? What used to be every single day became once a month. Don't be too hard on yourself. What was wrong with you in the past was how you got literally mad for everything and how you got violent but now the things you're getting angry at are things that most people would get angry at and most importantly you haven't been violent." Nayeon tried to explain.

"You're right, actually. I guess I am being too hard on myself. But I can't help it. I just want to become perfect." Y/N chuckled.

"That's impossible no one is perfect." Nayeon shook her head.

"You are." Y/N looked into Nayeon's eyes and Nayeon blushed.

"Yah Choi Y/N, we were having a serious conversation." Nayeon tried to laugh it off.

"I was being serious but okay whatever you like." Y/N chuckled.

"Y/N I'm worried." The older girl admitted.

"Worried for what?"

"Your dad. What if he does something to you?" That psychopath worries the shit out of Nayeon.

"He can't do anything to me, unnie. I won't let him cause any more trouble than he already has."

"Y/N he's a psychopath. There's no way you can stop him from whatever he's planning." Y/N knows that the teacher is right, but she won't be admitting that.

"Don't worry, I'll handle it."

"I've been worried about you ever since I found out that your dad is a gangster. I was scared that I was gonna get a call one day saying that you're in the hospital because of some gang that attacked you." Nayeon sighed.

"I wasn't just worried about you but also about Sana. And I was right, look at how she's in the hospital now. I hate that you're both living such dangerous lives." Nayeon got frustrated. Why can't they just live normal lives like normal people? Why do they have to be in danger all the time?

"We didn't choose to live these lives, unnie. It's in our blood. Even if we walk away from it, it will always follow us."

"Sometimes I wish you didn't come back." Nayeon suddenly admitted.

"Oh why?" Y/N became sad upon hearing that. Does Nayeon regret getting close to her again?

"Because you were safe there. You're not safe here." Nayeon would rather have Y/N to be safe than to have her beside her. She can't bear anything happening to the younger girl.

"Yes, It was safer there, but wherever I go I will never be a 100% safe. Besides I wanna be here, with Tiffany unnie, Irene unnie, my friends and especially you." Even though Y/N got some healing time at the farm, she missed her friends a lot. When Irene and her family decided to move to the city, Y/N didn't have a reason to stay anymore.

"Do you remember the first time we met?" Nayeon asked out of the blue.

"Yeah, you were one hell of an annoying teacher." Y/N laughed.

"Yah, Choi Y/N!" Nayeon smacked the younger's head.

"How was I annoying? I was just doing my job but you kept disturbing my classes!"

"That's because you kept interfering with my life." Y/N reasoned.

"No, it's because you were an asshole. I didn't even start interfering with your life until you started challenging me."

"Okay, okay. No need to get mad, you're right. I was in the wrong, I was the one who started it but it doesn't change the fact that you were an annoying teacher." Y/N joked.

"You ended up falling for your annoying teacher though. I guess I wasn't that annoying?" Nayeon acted cute.

"No, you still were. I just like annoying girls." That's actually not true, Y/N hates annoying girls but she can't lose this argument.

"Yeah, right. That's one big lie there Ms. Y/N."

"What would have happened if we never started dating?" Y/N wondered and tried to change the subject.

"I think about that too sometimes. I can't help but think that you would have been better off." The older girl admitted.

"Why's that?"

"If we never started dating, you wouldn't have gotten expelled, you wouldn't have gotten exposed and maybe you would have been living a happier life right now." Nayeon said sadly. They both went through a lot of hardships for the sake of their relationship.

"Unnie, don't say that. That's absolutely not true. Even if we weren't dating, I probably still would have gotten expelled for other reasons and I probably still would have gotten exposed for being a gangster. But it's different for you, you lost your job and your good reputation because of me. If there is one person that would have been living a happier life right now it would have been you, not me." The things that Y/N went through couldn't have been avoided, it was going to happen anyways. But it's not the same for Nayeon, she was just being a normal teacher until Y/N walked into her life.

"Meeting you was actually the best thing that ever happened to me. I think that if you had never walked into my life I probably would have been living a shitty life right now. I either would have died or gotten myself into big trouble, but thanks to you that didn't happen. You saved me unnie. You saved me from myself, and I am very thankful for that, you have no idea. So please don't say that I would have been happier if I didn't meet you because that's not true at all. There's no reas--" Y/N couldn't finish her sentence because Nayeon aggressively pulled the younger one into a kiss. Nayeon couldn't stop herself from doing so. The way Y/N said that meeting her is the best thing that happened to her and how she saved her, just melted her heart. She wants Y/N and she wants her right now.

The kiss got heated pretty fast and Nayeon was kissing her ex-girlfriend pretty roughly. Y/N was taken aback at first by the sudden aggression. They have kissed a few times by now ever since they broke up, but it was always soft and full of love. The last time they kissed like this, was more than a year ago, when they were still girlfriends.

Y/N was getting turned on pretty badly at this point so she decided to heat the kiss even more by sliding her tongue into the older girl's mouth. The younger girl left Nayeon's mouth and slowly went down to her neck. She still remembers the teacher's soft spot, so she didn't waste any time to suck on it.

"Fuck, Y/N." Nayeon moaned.

"D-do you want me to stop?" Y/N asked when she realized what she was doing.

"No, continue." And with that Y/N started to kiss Nayeon's neck again. Nayeon slid her big hands under Y/N's t-shirt and took it off. The sight of Y/N's abs makes Nayeon even more turned on than she already is. The younger girl decided to do the same and took off Nayeon's shirt and her bra. Y/N went down until she reached Nayeon's chest area. She kissed every spot around her chest and eventually started sucking on one nipple as she massaged the other one.

While the two were sleeping peacefully Nayeon's alarm suddenly woke them up. Nayeon set an alarm yesterday to make sure that she won't be late to work. She wasn't even planning to stay over at Y/N's, but after they had sex, she didn't want to go. Besides it was already pretty late.

"Ahh, turn it off." Y/N groaned and Nayeon turned her alarm off.

"I need to go to work." Nayeon got up and went into the bathroom.

"Fuck." Nayeon cursed to herself when she saw herself in the mirror of the bathroom. Her neck is full of hickeys, how is she gonna hide all of that? Even if she puts on concealer, it'll still be visible.

"You done?" Y/N asked when Nayeon finally came out of the bathroom. Y/N smirked when she saw the condition of the older girl's neck.

"Don't smirk like that. I'm a fucking teacher, I can't show up to school like this!"

"Put on some concealer or something." Y/N suggested.

"It won't help. Ugh I don't even have clean clothes." She only has her clothes from last night and they're pretty much not clean anymore.

"Take some of mine."

"They're way too big for me, Y/N." Y/N's size is definitely a bit larger than Nayeon's, so if she wears Y/N's clothes it's going to look way too oversized.

"Then let's ask Tiffany unnie for clothes. They'll fit you." Y/N was about to leave the room but Nayeon stopped her holding her arm.

"No! How are we going to explain that I stayed over?"

"I'm pretty sure she knows why you stayed over. You were pretty loud." Y/N laughed.

"Yah, it's not funny!" Nayeon hit Y/N's arm. She's very embarrassed right now, she totally forgot that Tiffany is staying here as well.

"Wait here take this hoodie, it's a bit small for me so I guess it'll fit you. It will also cover those things on your neck. And here let me put some concealer on it." Y/N said as she took some of her concealer.

"Since when do you even have concealer?" Y/N didn't answer and just applied some onto Nayeon's neck.

"I look like I'm freaking homeless." Nayeon sighed. She wants to go home and change, but she has no time for that. She needs to leave in like 2 minutes or she'll be late.

"You look fine, unnie. Don't worry about it."

"Fuck, I need to go. I'm gonna be late." Nayeon worried when she saw the time.

"I'll walk you out." Y/N said and followed her to the front door. Nayeon is very relieved that Tiffany isn't in the living room.

"I'll see you around."

"Wait, you forgot something." Y/N smirked.

"What?" Nayeon asked.

"This." Y/N pulled the older girl's arm and kissed her slowly on the lips, making Nayeon a blushing mess. This kiss was definitely different from the ones they shared last night.

"I-I'm going now." Nayeon stuttered and with that she left.

"Fuck, Nayeon why are you feeling this way aaaah!" Nayeon asked herself. Y/N makes her stomach turn and she feels way too many butterflies, which makes her nervous.

"You seem confident huh." Tiffany suddenly popped up from her room.

"Yah, you startled me. Where did you come from?" Y/N asked.

"From my room."

"I know that. It was a rhetorical question."

"I like how you two are close again and all but I really wish you guys were a bit more quiet last night." Tiffany smirked.

"I'm sorry, did we disturb you?"

"Not me, but if the neighbours complain,  you'll have to deal with them." The woman laughed and sat down.

"So what's really going on between you two now?" Tiffany is a bit confused about where the two girls are standing right now.

"I'm not sure. We're kinda acting like we're girlfriends again, but we're not. I've made up my mind though, it's time to win her back."

"Really? You're finally going for it? What made you change your mind?"

"Last night. Not just that we had sex but we had a nice talk and I just want her back. Like you said the other day, I shouldn't make her wait for me for too long. And I'm just happy when she's around me." Y/N explained.

"When are you going to ask her?"

"I don't know. I think it's best if I wait a couple of days. What happened with Sana unnie, really threw us off guard."

"I'm glad you're finally ready, Y/N. I'm really proud of you." Tiffany said messing up Y/N's hair.

"Yah, why do you always do that? I'm not a kid."

"You kinda are though. You're not even 20 yet." The woman laughed.

"Yeah, yeah whatever. I need to go to work." Y/N said and with that she went into her room to change.

Nayeon just finished her last class and went out of her school. She really wants to go home as fast as possible. She's really tired from last night, but she also can't stop thinking about it. The way Y/N made her feel just can't get out of her head. It was amazing.

Nayeon was about to enter her car when someone suddenly approached her which made her stop.

"Ms. Im?" A man's voice asked. Nayeon turned around in the direction of the voice but wasn't very pleased with who she saw. It's Y/N's dad.

"Uhm yes?"

"By your reaction I can tell you know who I am." The man laughed.

"Yes, I know who you are but why are you here?" Nayeon doesn't want to be rude or anything, especially knowing that this man is the number one gangster in town. How does he even know where she works? And why is he here?

"I just want to talk to you, if that's okay."

"I don't think that's a good idea." She doesn't want to have to do anything with him.

"I know who you are Nayeon-ssi. I know your past with Y/N and I know that you care about her. I do too. I care about her a lot." Nayeon really wanted to laugh at the man's statement. If he cares so much, why did he make her life so miserable?

"If you had cared about her, you wouldn't have abandoned her."

"Hmm, you're sassy. I like that. I can see why Y/N likes you." A lot of people are scared of the gangster, so he isn't used to people talking back to him.

"Can you just get to the point?" Nayeon still doesn't know why he's here.

"I just came here to ask you a favor."

"What is it?"

"Can you talk to Y/N for me? I just want her to let me explain myself, but I don't think she will. So can you convince her to at least listen to me?" Mr. Choi knows that Nayeon is the most important person in Y/N's life, so if there is one person she'll listen to, it's her.

"I don't want to get involved in all of this. Besides I don't think Y/N will even listen to me." Nayeon informed.

"Just try. She might give it a chance if you convince her." The man raised his eyebrows. He's slowly getting annoyed by the teacher.

"Why would I?"

"Because you care about her and don't want her to get hurt." He smirked.

"Are you planning to hurt her?"

"No, not at all. I just want her to forgive me. I know I made a lot of mistakes in the past and I regret many of them. Especially the ones that involved Y/N. Staying in prison knocked some sense into me and I just want her to listen to what I have to say." He explained.

"Look even if I talk to her there's no guarantee that she'll listen to me." Nayeon thinks that Y/N will probably just walk away when she starts talking about it.

"I know, but I just want you to try."

"Fine, I'll talk to her. Can I go now?" Nayeon gestured to her car.

"Go ahead, Nayeon-ssi." The gangster smiled but Nayeon just glared at him.

While Y/N was at work she got a call from Jihyo saying that Sana is awake now. After work Y/N immediately went to the hospital. When she got into Sana's room she saw Jihyo and Dahyun. Dahyun really looks like a mess, which is understandable after everything she found out. She's been keeping very quiet, but Sana hasn't noticed anything.

"Y/N?"

"Oh unnie, you're awake I see." Y/N smiled. She's really relieved that Sana survived.

"Yeah, finally." Even though Sana smiles and all, she doesn't look good. She almost died, how can she look good?

"I'll get you guys some food." Jihyo informed.

"I'll come with you." Dahyun said and followed Jihyo leaving the two alone.

"So how are you feeling?" Y/N asked as she sat beside Sana's bed.

"Like shit honestly."

"Didn't I tell you that this would happen if you keep messing with those guys?" Y/N warned her a couple of times, but no way that Sana ever listens.

"Y/N they killed my dad and they want to kill my mom. How can I just leave it alone?" Sana said weakly. She's still pretty weak.

Nayeon also received a call from Jihyo, but she went home first so she could change and all. Afterwards she went to the hospital. On her way to Sana's room, she saw Dahyun and Jihyo. She called them but they didn't hear her and went the other way. When Nayeon arrived at Sana's door she stopped in her tracks when she heard Y/N's voice. She didn't mean to eavesdrop but started doing it unintentionally anyways.

"It almost costed your life, unnie. Do you know how worried we were? We stayed here all night waiting for you to get out of surgery."

"I know. I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to make you guys worry." Sana knows how much they care about her. Especially Y/N. Their relationship might not have turned out the way they wanted, but there's no question on how much they care about each other. They aren't very compatible as lovers, they already knew this when they started dating. The two got along way better before they started dating than when they were dating, which was a great indication that they weren't very compatible. They kept trying though, because they loved each other. Now with Nayeon and Dahyun in their lives they know that they weren't meant to end up together, but they were meant to stay in each other's lives.

"It's okay as long as you're okay."

"I heard your dad showed up the other day." Sana started.

"How do you know that?"

"Taehyung told me today. He passed by a couple of hours ago." The Japanese woman informed.

"Yeah, that fucking psychopath had no shame and showed up."

"Y/N tell me the truth. The reason why you want to become a cop isn't just to get justice for your mom right? It's because you want to get revenge on your dad. You want him to regret whatever he did." Sana asked.

"It wasn't in my plan at first, but after seeing him I even want to become it more. I know he'll freak out when he hears that I became a cop and I think I'm going to enjoy that." Y/N admitted. Nayeon didn't know about this. She thought that Y/N just had passion towards it and that she wanted to get justice for her mom. She wouldn't have thought that Y/N is doing it because she hates her dad and wants revenge.

"I knew it. I support you, go for it." Sana smiled.

"Wait, you do? Why?" Y/N is confused. She almost choked Y/N to death because of this and now she's saying that she supports it?

"Because I know how it's like to lose a parent. I understand what you went through and what you're feeling. If I were in your place I would've done the same thing." Sana knows she overreacted that day, but after thinking for a while she realized why Y/N is doing this.

"Is the conversation interesting?" Dahyun suddenly popped behind Nayeon, startling her.

"Yah, Dahyun-ah, you scared me."

"Aren't you worried sometimes about those two?" Dahyun asked out of the blue.

"What do you mean?"

"Sanna unnie and Y/N. Y/N has been here for hours now and she keeps taking care of her. It just disturbs me how close they are sometimes." Dahyun is going to lie, if she says that she's not jealous.

"It bothered me a lot in the past too, but now it doesn't really bother me that much." Nayeon answered.

"Why?"

"Because the two of them went though things that we can't understand. They both went through similar things, so there's no one that can understand them as well as each other. They're living similar lives and they both lost a parent. It's normal for them to be close. Besides I have no right to get jealous. Y/N and I are not even dating." Nayeon sighed.

"Is that why your neck is like this? Or maybe this isn't Y/N's doing?" Dahyun raised her eyebrows. She can see the hickeys on Nayeon's neck even though the teacher is trying very hard to hide them.

"Even if you guys aren't back together, you still love her so you do have the right, unnie. Don't worry about that." Dahyun patted Nayeon's back.

"I honestly don't know why you guys aren't back together yet." Dahyun shook her head.

"It's because Y/N needs time. She's not ready yet."

"Are you willing to wait for her?" Dahyun asked.

"Yes, but I don't know how long I can. I told her that I will wait for her and that I'll give her the time that she needs, but after last night I don't know if I can wait that long." The older girl admitted.

"You should talk to her about it."

"I can't. I don't want to pressure her." It was her number one mistake in the past, so she doesn't want to repeat it.

"If you don't,  it might take years for her to be ready. What if she keeps making you wait but then suddenly says that she doesn't want you anymore or something?"

"That's what I'm scared of, Dahyun-ah." Nayeon is willing to wait but only with the guarantee that Y/N will come back to her for sure. She doesn't want to waste her time if Y/N is not going to end up with her. She doesn't want to wait for nothing.

"What are you guys talking about? And why are you guys not inside?" Jihyo also came.

"We were just about to go in." Nayeon smiled and with that the three of them went in. After about an hour Jeongyeon also came to visit Sana. Jihyo had called her to let her know as well.

"Oh sorry, can I come in?" Jeongyeon asked when she saw that Y/N and Nayeon were also in the room.

"Come in." Y/N smiled weakly. No one can understand why she's being like this towards Jeongyeon.

"Jeongyeon-ah." Sana smiled. She's happy to see all of her friends in one place.

"You scared me, Sana-yah. Are you okay now?"

"I'm okay, I'm okay." Sana giggled.

"Why are you even here? It's not like you care about anyone or something." Nayeon suddenly said and everyone was taken aback.

"Unnie.." Jihyo glared at her. She gets that Nayeon is still mad and all. But more than a year has passed by, she should get over it.

"It's okay, she's right. I don't know how to show people that I care about them even if I do." Jeongyeon just smiled.

"Whatever, I'm going to the bathroom." And with that Nayeon left the room.
