Chapter 45

The next morning Nayeon woke up beside Y/N. Of course Y/N kept saying that she should sleep on the couch, but Nayeon protested. There's no way she's letting Y/N sleep on the couch. The younger girl showed a vulnerable side of her's last night. Nayeon could see that she really needed someone and she's glad that Y/N shared her concerns with her.

Luckily Nayeon has to work at 10 today, so she still has time to make some breakfast for Y/N before going to work. Before Nayeon got out of bed she looked at Y/N and caressed her hair. The girl is looking beautiful while sleeping.

"What are you doing to me Y/N?" Nayeon whispered to herself. She hasn't felt like this in a long time. It's like she's falling all over for Y/N again just like the first time. After staring at the sleeping girl for about a minute, Nayeon kissed her head and finally got out of bed.

Y/N woke up around 20 minutes later to no one beside her. She's sure Nayeon was beside her last night, so she must've already woken up. Y/N decided to get out of bed as well and she went to look for Nayeon but couldn't find her in the living room nor the bathroom.

"Ah unnie, here you... are." Y/N stopped in her tracks when she saw Nayeon on the balcony... smoking? Nayeon immediately hid her cigarette, but it was too late. Y/N already saw it.

"You smoke?" Y/N raised her eyebrows. Nayeon didn't smoke in the past. This is new.

"Oh, uhm, yeah." Nayeon confessed. Y/N wasn't supposed to see this.

"I don't smoke that often though. I smoke like once a week, when I'm stressed or nervous."

"And why are you stressed or nervous now?" Y/N approached her.

"Oh just a lot of work at school." Nayeon answered. That is partially true, but the main reason why she's nervous is because of Y/N and the things Y/N makes her feel.

"You don't have to hide that cigarette anymore. I already saw it." Y/N said when she noticed that Nayeon was still hiding it.

"You can smoke beside me, I don't mind." Y/N shook her head.Truth is she's actually a bit bothered by this. She never would've thought that Nayeon smokes.

"Oh no, it's okay. I was done anyways. I prepared breakfast, let's eat." Nayeon changed the subject and with that they went to the kitchen to eat the breakfast that was prepared by Nayeon. Y/N is really hungry so she dived into the food immediately. Nayeon just smiled at the sight.

"When did your appetite grow so much?" Nayeon chuckled. This isn't the first time that Nayeon sees Y/N eating this much since she came back but she thought that maybe she was just very hungry at that moment. Now she's sure that the girl has developed a bigger appetite.

"Ow, it was always big actually. I used to eat a lot as a kid but when I got abandoned it changed. I guess it's back now."

"That's good."

"You should eat more too, you know. I can see you're not eating well." Y/N noticed.

"Don't worry about it Y/N-ie. I'm eating just enough."

"Just enough isn't good. You should eat well." The younger girl worried.

"Yah, stop talking about my eating habits and finish your food!" Nayeon scolded her.

"Okay, mom." Y/N rolled her eyes. She knows how Nayeon hates it when she calls her mom.

"Fuck off." Nayeon hit Y/N's arm.

"Awtch, that hurt." Y/N rubbed her arm jokingly.

"I see you're feeling better now, huh? Joking around and stuff."

"Yes. All thanks to my seongsaengnim." Y/N smiled and Nayeon's heart made a turn hearing the old nickname.

"I need to go to work now. Do you want me to drop you off at home?" Nayeon grabbed her bag.

"Can you drop me off at work instead? I got some work to do." Y/N sighed.

"Yeah, sure. Let's go." And with that the two girls left the apartment.

"Why are you so early? I thought you have to start working in an hour." Irene asked as she entered Y/N's office.

"I just wanna finish early."

"Or you just didn't have time to go home because you stayed at Nayeon's place." Irene smirked.

"How do you even know that?" Y/N is surprised by how Irene always seems to know everything.

"Tiffany told me. Besides I saw you getting out of her car."

"Okay, that explains everything."

"So when are you getting her back, huh? Or maybe you already did without telling me?" Y/N has been around Nayeon so much lately, that everyone thinks that they got back together without telling anyone.

"No. And it's not happening. At least not yet. I still need to fix some things before I win her back."

"Pabo, you don't even have to win her back. She's obviously head over heels for you." Irene smiled.

"I know and that's what worries me. I'm worried that she won't see my flaws because she likes me too much."

"Don't be stupid, Y/N. She knows your flaws very well and isn't that why she broke up with you? If she wants you back then that means she accepted your flaws and saw your improvement. Just saying, don't make her wait too long. Anyone can tell she's waiting for you to make a move."

"Whatever unnie. I don't want to think about that now." Her mind is too occupied with her dad right now.

Y/N has been working all day. She was working so intensively that she didn't even realize that it's already 6pm. Luckily Chaeyoung just called her, so she got some sense of what time it is.

"Unnie, what are you doing?" Chaeyoung asked first thing when Y/N answered the phone.

"I'm working."

"It's 6pm already. Doesn't the office close at 6?" Chaeyoung remembered.

"Yeah, I'm about to close now."

"Great, that means you can come to my place to hang out." Chaeyoung smiled.

"Chaeyoung-ah, I'm very tired. How about I come tomorrow?" Y/N hasn't even gone home today.

"You have to come today. Mina unnie and Jihyo unnie are here as well. The girls will be joining later on as well."

"Don't you have school tomorrow? Why are you inviting everyone on a school night?" Chaeyoung isn't the type of girl to study that much so it's not a surprise she's inviting everyone over on a school night.

"Because I'm the only one, along with Tzuyu, that is still a high school student and it makes me sad." Chaeyoung pouted to herself.

"Alright whatever, I'll come within an hour." Y/N sighed. She needs to go home first to take a shower and after that she'll go to the younger girl's place.

"Yesss, come fast. I'll be waiting."

"Yeah, yeah. See you." And with that Y/N hung up the phone and went home.

After Y/N took a shower and changed her clothes she went to Chaeyoung's place and saw that her friends and Jihyo are there as well. Luckily Sana isn't here. She doesn't want to cause another scene again.

"Finally, where have you been?" Chaeyoung asked when Y/N walked in.

"I literally came within an hour just like I said I would."

"Yeah, don't be so obnoxious Chaeyoung-ah." Tzuyu said.

"Why are you all so mean to my baby, aish." Mina hugged her girlfriend.

"Aaaah, my eyes." Momo covered her eyes.

"We've been dating for 1,5 years and you're still doing that?" Mina is getting tired from all the teasing she recieves from her friends. They're still acting like she and Chaeyoung are a new couple.

"Y/N-ah what have you been up to these days? I haven't seen you in a while." Dahyun changed the subject.

"You literally saw me last week."

"Really? Then why does it feel like it was so long ago?" Dahyun questioned.

"Because you only have eyes for Sana unnie." Tzuyu teased.

"Yah, Tzuyu-ah stop teasing everyone." Jihyo laughed.

"Isn't it weird for you to be hanging out with your students and ex-students?" Y/N asked Jihyo. Even though she's not her teacher anymore, she's still Chaeyoung and Tzuyu's teacher and principal.

"Isn't it weird for you to have dated two of my teachers?" Jihyo fired back and everyone widened their mouths enjoying how Y/N just got roasted. To be honest Dahyun still isn't 100% okay with Y/N and Sana's past, so it makes her a bit uncomfortable when someone mentions that the two have dated.

"Touchée, Ms. Park." Y/N accepted her defeat.

"She really got you there Y/N." Chaeyoung chuckled.

"Didn't you tell them yet?" Jihyo asked Y/N. Jihyo remembers Y/N saying that she's gonna tell her friends about her scholarship, but it doesn't seem like they know yet.

"I've been wanting to tell them ever since I came, but since they won't stop talking I didn't get the chance."

"Tell us what?" Momo asked.

"I got a scholarship. A scholarship for the police academy."

"Wait what? Are you serious?" Dahyun asked.

"Yeah."

"Oh my God, Y/N. Why didn't you tell us that you applied?" Mina asked.

"I didn't want to tell anyone before I actually got it."

"I can't believe you told Jihyo before us. Does anyone else know?" Chaeyoung asked.

"Well, Irene unnie and Tiffany unnie know." Y/N informed.

"Nayeon unnie knows as well." Jihyo added.

"Of course Nayeon unnie would know." Tzuyu smirked. She's teasing the girls a lot today.

"I didn't expect this at all, but I'm very happy for you. You finally have something you want to do and I think the job will suit you well." Mina patted Y/N's back and everyone agreed. They're all happy for her.

"Aren't you all hungry? We should make some food." Momo suggested.

"Who's going to join me in the kitchen?" Chaeyoung asked and Dahyun and Mina followed her into the kitchen.

"We don't have anything to drink though. Can someone go to the store nearby?" Chayeoung asked.

"I'll go. Tzuyu join me?" Momo asked.

"Ugh fine." Tzuyu sighed but joined her anyways, leaving Jihyo and Y/N behind in the living room.

"Will you still be working when you start at the academy? What is your plan?" Jihyo asked out of curiosity.

"I'm planning to work part time, but I don't know if I'm going to be able to manage since police academy is a lot of work."

"You'll do fine, don't worry about it." Jihyo touched Y/N's arm.

"Unnie, did you know that Nayeon unnie smokes?" Y/N asked out of the blue. The person that Nayeon is closest to right now is Jihyo. So if anyone would know, it would be Jihyo.

"Oh yeah. I know about that, but from what I know she doesn't smoke that much. Like maybe once a week?"

"When did she start smoking?"

"I think after she got fired. She was going through a lot and I think smoking helped her calm down a bit." Jihyo explained.

"So it's kinda my fault." Y/N sighed.

"Don't blame yourself, Y/N. You keep blaming yourself for everything. Stop looking at the past and look forward." Jihyo suggested. After 10 minutes Momo and Tzuyu came back, but they didn't come alone. They brought Nayeon with them.

"Look who we brought." Momo yelled and the girls that were in the kitchen also came out with some food.

"What is this, a reunion? Why did you invite everyone?" Nayeon asked.

"Yah, why is everyone asking that? I just want to hang out with my friends." Chaeyoung answered.

"Anyways, let's eat shall we?" Mina suggested and they all nodded.

"Is Sana unnie not coming? Where is she?" Momo wondered.

"She just texted me. She's on her way." Dahyun informed. When Nayeon and Jihyo heard that, they looked at Y/N right away. Sana and Y/N aren't okay right now, so the two girls are a bit worried that they might cause another scene again.

"Ah there she is." Dahyun smiled when she heard the doorbell.

"I'll get it." Dahyun stood up and went to the door.

"Hi babe, where have you been?" Dahyun asked.

"Aw did you miss me?" Sana acted cute.

"Yeah, I did." Dahyun answered and pecked the teacher's lips.

"Why are they always doing that when I'm eating, aish." Tzuyu got frustrated.

"Tzuyu-ah, you should just accept the fact that most of our friends are couples." Momo patted her back.

"Momo unnie is right. There are two couples already. Soon to be three." Chaeyoung smirked. They all understood what Chaeyoung meant except for Nayeon and Y/N. They're pretty dense about it.

"Let Tzuyu be. She's only like this because she wants to be loved as well." Sana smiled as she sat down next to Dahyun.

"Yah, I don't want that. I don't care about love." Tzuyu denied and they all laughed. While they were laughing Sana and Y/N accidentally locked eyes. Y/N looked away immediately but Sana just kept glaring at her. She's still at with Y/N, that's for sure.

"Unnie did you hear about Y/N getting a scholarship?" Dahyun asked her girlfriend. "Fuck" Y/N thought to herself.

"Yeah, I did."

"Oh really how?" Mina asked.

"Oh, Nayeon unnie told me the other day." Sana lied.

"Isn't it great how Y/N is finally going to do something. I'm so happy for you Y/N-ah." Momo exclaimed.

"I don't get why everyone is so happy about this. There's nothing to be happy about. The police are shit, I can't believe you guys are actually supporting her on this." Everyone was taken aback by Sana's sudden outburst. Even though days have passed since she found out, she's still mad.

"Babe, what do you mean by police are shit? It's their job to protect us." In Sana's eyes the police's job is to make her own job harder.

"Don't you watch the news? Police kill innocent people." Sana tried to reason. It's of course not the real reason why she's against this, but she had to say something.

"I don't think Y/N unnie has intentions on doing that though." Tzuyu tried to defend. Yes, there are bad policemen who take advantage of their job, but there are also good ones, who do their job as it should be done.

"Guys, can we change the subject? Please?" Y/N pleaded. She's starting to feel very uncomfortable.

"Isn't Tzuyu's birthday coming up? We should do something." Chaeyoung changed the subject, which Y/N is very thankful for. Luckily after that, Sana stopped glaring at Y/N and all of them managed to have a good time.

"Dahyun-ah, we should leave. We still have classes tomorrow." Momo suggested. It's getting late so they should go home.

"Yeah, Tzuyu we should go too." Mina said.

"Yah, is everyone gonna leave so suddenly?" Chaeyoung pouted.

"No, the teachers plus Y/N will stay with you for a bit longer, right teachers?" Mina asked as she kissed Chaeyoung's cheek and they all nodded.

"Bye unnies." They all waved and left Chaeyoung's apartment. The others stayed for about 20 minutes longer until they decided to leave as well. Since Y/N doesn't want Nayeon to be walking alone in the dark she decided to walk her home. Sana and Jihyo live close to each other so they decided to walk home together as well.

"You don't have to always walk me home, Y/N."

"But I want to." Y/N just doesn't get why Nayeon always walks everywhere when she actually has a car.

"You should talk it out with Sana. She kept glaring at you." Nayeon mentioned while they were walking.

"Yeah, I know, but she just makes it very hard for me to approach her." Y/N admitted.

"Y/N are you scared of her?" Nayeon suddenly stopped walking.

"W-what? Why would I be scared of her?" Y/N got confused.

"You didn't even defend yourself the other day." Nayeon saw how Y/N didn't even try to get out of Sana's grip. If she and Jihyo weren't there, Sana might have choked Y/N to death.

"I didn't want to start a fight, especially not in the presence of you and Jihyo unnie." Y/N started walking again and Nayeon followed. Y/N isn't scared of Sana, but she's just scared that when she'll try to defend herself she'll accidentally hurt Sana.

"Has she ever hurt you? In the past?" Nayeon asked. She realized that she doesn't know Sana and what she's capable of at all.

"No, don't worry about that. I didn't even know she was a gangster when we were dating. The Sana I knew back then is the same Sana that you guys know. I saw her dark side afterwards, but even then she didn't show me that much of her side because she felt guilty of betraying me." Y/N explained and they just continued walking.

"Unnie, don't freak out but I think someone is following us." Y/N noticed how there's a guy walking behind them ever since they left Chaeyoung's place.

"Wait, what where?" Nayeon was about to look behind her but Y/N stopped her by holding her arm.

"Don't. Don't look behind you and just keep walking. He can't know that we noticed him."

"Who would even follow us?"

"I have two guesses. It's either someone my dad send to spy on me, or one of my dad's enemies. It actually can also be just a pervert." Y/N thought.

"How did you even notice? You didn't even look back once."

"Since I live a dangerous life, I learned to be aware of my surroundings. I don't need to look behind me to notice that someone is following me." This has happened many times before. Y/N is very used to it.

"What are we going to do?" The teacher asked.

"WE aren't gonna do anything. You're going home while I deal with him."

"There's no way I'm leaving you alone with him." She can't leave knowing that Y/N might be in danger.

"Unnie, don't be stubborn and just listen to me. You need to go, it can be dangerous. I'll deal with him, okay?"

"I'm not going Y/N. You're gonna have to deal with him beside me." Y/N knows she can't win this argument so she's gonna have to change her plan.

"So what's the plan?" Nayeon raised her eyebrows but was taken aback when Y/N suddenly held her hand tightly.

"We're gonna start running and take the first turn right. It's a very small street where I can corner him. On the count of three, okay?" Nayeon has no idea what Y/N is planning, but she'll just trust her.

"1... 2... 3..." The two girls started running and the guy that's following them immediately started running as well. When the two girls took a turn to the right they hid behind the wall and right when the guy also took a turn Y/N pushed him against the wall with her arm against his shoulders. Nayeon really hates how Y/N is related to a gang but she finds the younger girl very attractive when she corners someone like that. Even if Y/N hates her dad, it's true that she inherited her strength and her ability to deal with people from him. That's why she wants to become a cop. She wants to use her gift for the good.

"Let's see who we have here." Y/N took of the guy's cap. Since it's dark she can't see who it is with the cap on.

"Jimin oppa?" Y/N backed away when she saw who the guy was.

"Aish Y/N, you didn't have to be so harsh on me." He said rubbing his back. The way Y/N pushed him against the wall, really hurt his back.

"You know him?" Nayeon asked.

"Yeah, he's one of Taehyung oppa's friends, also in the gang."

"Why were you following us oppa?"

"I think you already know why." Jimin chuckled.

"My dad send you, didn't he?"

"Yes. He did."

"He already knows where I am, so why did he send you?" Y/N is sure that her dad already knows where she is. It won't be hard for him to find her, but what she doesn't understand is why he hasn't shown up yet.

"That's a question I don't know the answer to. I'm just doing my job." Jimin said but got interrupted by Y/N's phone.

"It's Jihyo unnie." Y/N furrowed her eyebrows. Jihyo has never called her, and especially not at this hour.

"Unnie?" Y/N answered the phone.

"Y/N... Please come fast. Sana... Sana she's hurt. Please come." Jihyo worried.

"Wait, wait, slow down. What do you mean she's hurt?"

"She got shot, Y/N. Please come fast, we're in front of her apartment." Jihyo cried. She doesn't know what to do. Sana jut got shot in front of her eyes and the girl is losing a lot of blood. The first person she could think of was Y/N, since this is probably related to gang issues.

"I'm coming. Call an ambulance, okay?"

"Okay." Jihyo said and hung up the phone.

"Y/N what's going on?" Nayeon asked weakly, she can guess by the look on Y/N's face that something happened.

"Sana unnie got shot, we need to go there fast, now." Y/N started running and Nayeon immediately followed. Luckily, they're close by.

"Yah, wait for me!" Jimin yelled as he started running as well. He can already guess what happened. Luckily Y/N and Jimin are fast runners, but Nayeon is a bit slow so she's lacking behind.

"Unnie, come hold my hand." Y/N stopped so Nayeon could catch up. Nayeon took the younger girl's hand and they started running again.

"Oh fuck, Sana." Jimin said when he arrived and knelt down next to Jihyo to check on Sana's condition.

"Will she be okay?" Jihyo asked. Jihyo actually has seen Jimin once, so she knows that he's one of Sana's gang members.

"She's losing a lot of blood. Did you call the ambulance already?" The guy asked and Jihyo nodded.

"Oppa, you should look around. They might still be around." Y/N suggested as she also knelt down the moment she and Nayeon arrived. They're both out of breath.

"Unnie, are you okay?" Y/N asked Jihyo. The principal looks traumatised.

"I-I'm okay. Just shocked."

"Can you tell me what happened?" Jimin asked Jihyo.

"We were just talking when a guy suddenly approached us. They were saying some things to each other, but I didn't understand any of it. Then he got mad and shot her."

"What did he do after he shot her?"

"He ran away." Jihyo sighed.

"Yah, why is the ambulance taking so long?" Nayeon yelled. She has never seen this much blood in her life.

"Unnie, hold on." Y/N held Sana's hand and right at that moment they heard the sirens of the ambulance. The doctors immediately took her in.

"Only one person can come into the ambulance."

"Y/N you should go." Jihyo suggested. If anyone can help Sana, it would be Y/N.

"Okay, I'll go. Oppa can you bring them to the hospital?" Y/N asked Jimin. Jimin is a good guy so she trusts him with the girls.

"Yeah, yeah. Of course you go ahead."

"Oppa will take you to the hospital. Do not leave his side, okay?" The people who did this to Sana might be still around so it's best if they stick to Jimin.

"We can take my car, I live 2 minutes away." The guy suggested and Nayeon and Jihyo just followed him since Y/N told them to.

"Just like Y/N said, do not leave my side." Jimin repeated. Y/N left them with him because she trusts him, so Jimin has to protect them at all costs and bring them to the hospital safely.

In the ambulance the doctors are trying to stop Sana from losing blood, but they're having a pretty hard time with it.

"Y/N..." Sana whispered. She's actually still awake, but she's very very weak.

"Unnie, hold on. You'll be fine, okay?" Y/N held her hand.

"If something happens to me. Tell Dahyun... Tell Dahyun that I'm sorry and that I love her." She said weakly.

"Yah, don't say that. Nothing is going to happen to you."

"I'm also sorry to you. I will always love you Y/N." After Sana said that, she got unconscious. Y/N shed a tear upon hearing Sana's last words to her. They might have lost feelings for each other, but they will never stop loving each other. Of course the way that they love each other isn't the same way as they love Nayeon and Dahyun. This is actually the reason why Y/N couldn't defend herself the other day. She can never hurt someone psychically that she loved before. It's the same for Nayeon and Minju. Even though she's over Sana and Minju, they will always hold a special place in her heart. If you really loved someone, even if it's in the past, it's hard to stop loving them. Your love will lessen and you will love other people, but the love and care for them will never fully disappear.

"Why is it taking so long?" Nayeon asked Jimin who's driving. They don't even know who this guy is, but Y/N just left them with him.

"We'll be there in two minutes."

"You know who did this to Sana don't you?" Jihyo asked from the back.

"Yeah, there's a gang after us. They have been for a while because Sana is challenging them a lot lately. I'm guessing they did this." He explained.

"We're here." Jimin parked the car and they immediately ran into the hospital.

"We're looking for Minatozaki Sana." Jihyo said.

"She's in the emergency room." The man answered and the three ran towards the emergency room and they saw Y/N sitting on a chair waiting.

"Oh you are here."

"Where's Sana?" Nayeon asked.

"She's in surgery." Y/N said weakly. The situation is pretty bad.

"I should call Taehyung and the guys to let them know. They might be after them as well."

"And we should call Dahyun." Jihyo suggested.

"What? We can't. How are we going to explain that she got shot by a gang?" Y/N asked.

"What else do you want to do? We can't keep hiding this anymore, especially not after what just happened."

"Jihyo is right. She needs to know." Nayeon sat down next to Y/N.

"You guys call her, I can't do it." How can she tell her bad news like this?

"I'll call her." Jihyo said and went outside to call Dahyun.

"Is she going to be okay?" Nayeon asked.

"Yeah, of course she's gonna be okay. This isn't the first time she gets hurt. She got stabbed before and she survived that. I'm sure she'll survive this as well. She's a strong girl."

"What if she doesn't survive?" Nayeon shed a tear. She's really scared that something is going to happen to Sana.

"Unnie, don't say that. She'll survive, okay?" Y/N said wiping Nayeon's tears.

"Come here." Y/N hugged the older girl and Nayeon just cried. She knew this was going to happen one day.

"Dahyun is on her way." Jihyo came back.

"And I called Taehyung. Apparently they also attacked Namjoon, but he's okay now." Jimin came back as well.

"I'm gonna kill whoever did this to her." Y/N is angry.

"Don't worry Y/N. We'll handle it." Jimin patted Y/N's shoulder as he sat down next to her. By "we'll handle it" Jimin means that they're most probably gonna kill him.

"Why did you guys leave her alone when you know that she's in danger?" Y/N asked.

"We told her not to go out by herself. But you know very well that she doesn't listen."

"Where's Sana?" Dahyun came running. She ran to the hospital immediately when she heard the news.

"She's in the emergency room." Nayeon answered.

"W-what happened?" Jihyo didn't really say that much on the phone, she just told her that Sana got hurt.

"She got shot." Jihyo answered and Dahyun widened her eyes.

"What do you mean by she got shot? How can this happen??" Dahyun started yelling. She refuses to believe this.

"Dahyun-ah, calm down. Please." Y/N stood up to calm her friend down, but right at that moment some doctors ran into the emergency room that Sana is in.

"What's happening?" Jimin asked.

"Doctor, what's going on?" Jihyo stopped one of the running doctors.

"She's in critical condition. She's still losing blood. We need to perform surgery immediately."

"W-we'll she survive?"

"I can't say that yet. Please be patient." And with that the doctor left. Upon hearing that Dahyun broke down on her knees and started to cry.

"Shhh, she'll be okay. She's going to survive." Y/N knelt down and hugged her friend. At this point Nayeon and Jihyo started crying as well. They're really scared that Sana isn't going to survive.

"Is she Sana's girlfriend?" Jimin asked Jihyo. He has never seen Dahyun, but he does know that Sana has a girlfriend.

"Yeah." Jihyo answered weakly.

"What is she doing here?" Nayeon suddenly asked.

"I called her." Jihyo answered. It's Jeongyeon. Of course Jihyo had to call one of Sana's closest friends.

"How is she?" Jeongyeon asked. She can already tell by the looks on everyone's faces, that it's pretty bad.

"She's in surgery." Y/N answered as she helped Dahyun stand up and made her sit down. Y/N hasn't seen Jeongyeon in a very long time, but she isn't surprised that the teacher is here since she knows how close she is with Sana.

"If I make you guys uncomfortable, I can also wait in the cafeteria or something." Jeongyeon noticed how Nayeon didn't even look her way once. She doesn't want to make them uncomfortable by being here.

"No. It's okay. You can stay here." Y/N assured. Nayeon is surprised by how nice Y/N suddenly is to Jeongyeon. She didn't expect for them to act like this when they met again, but then again they are in the hospital and their friend might be dying. So how are they supposed to act?

Hours have passed and Sana is still not out of surgery. It's 4am already, when is she going to get out? Dahyun eventually fell asleep after crying so much. Nayeon and Jihyo also fell asleep without noticing. Jimin is making some phone calls trying to figure out who exactly did this. The only ones that are still awake are Y/N and Jeongyeon.

"Here's some coffee." Y/N handed a cup of coffee to Jeongyeon. Jeongyeon didn't expect for Y/N to be giving her something, but she just accepted.

"She's going to survive right?" The older girl asked.

"I believe she will." Y/N said as she sat down next to her.

"Why are you being nice to me? Aren't you mad at me?"

"No. At least not anymore. Yes, you got me expelled, but I think everything happens for a reason and I also know why you did it. So I'm not blaming you." Even though Y/N was very angry with her in the beginning, that anger just faded because she understood what Jeongyeon's intentions were.

"But Nayeon unnie is."

"Well, you did get her fired and you ruined her reputation. I think you did her way more damage than you did me." Y/N guessed.

"Is it just me or did you mature?" Jeongyeon asked. She has only been here for a few hours, but  by the way how Y/N comforted everyone she can see that the teenager has matured. Y/N wouldn't have been so calm about this in the past. She probably would have had burned the hospital down.

"A lot of people say I have." Y/N chuckled. She actually really wants to cry right now, but she can't bring herself to. She always has problems with crying in front of people. After a while Jeongyeon also fell asleep but Y/N she still couldn't. How can she fall asleep when Sana is still in there?
