"Where are Nayeon unnie and Y/N?" Mina asked when she saw everyone in the living room except for the two.
"Sana unnie and Dahyun unnie are also nowhere to be seen." Chaeyoung mentioned.
"Sana and Dahyun are still sleeping." Jihyo informed.
"They were so fucking loud last night, aish." Tzuyu acted disgusted.
"Yah, let them live. It was her birthday gift." Momo smirked.
"I saw Y/N and Nayeon unnie upstairs talking last night but I haven't seen them ever since." Tzuyu said.
"I'll go look for them." Chaeyoung informed.
"Be careful, they might be you know..." Momo wiggled her eyebrows. Why is she so dirty minded?
"I don't think they would already be doing that, Momoring." Jihyo chuckled at Momo's silliness.
Chaeyoung went upstairs to look for the two missing girls and she stopped when she saw the two sleeping on the couch. Nayeon's head was on Y/N's shoulder and Y/N's arm was around Nayaon's waist. So cute.
"Babe, did you find them?" Mina approached Chaeyoung.
"Shhht, they're sleeping."
"Aw, they're so cute." Mina whispered.
"Yeah, they are. Why is it a lot of people who really love each other aren't together? I mean look at them they love each other so much, but they're not together. It's just sad."
"It's because of the circumstances, Chaengie. They've been through a lot." Mina patted her girlfriend's shoulder.
"Do you think they'll get back together?"
"I hope so. I think they're made for each other. Besides I'm sure they met again for a reason." Mina assured. She really does think that the universe send Nayeon to Y/N's office that day for a reason.
"But we should let them sleep and go back downstairs." Mina suggested and held Chaeyoung's hand as they went back downstairs. Sana and Dahyun are also awake at this point.
"Aahh, I feel like shit." Dahyun groaned. She drank a bit too much last night.
"Did you find them?" Jihyo asked the couple.
"They're still sleeping." Mina answered.
"You mean sleeping as in...?" Momo raised her eyebrows.
"Yah, Momo! Stop thinking that way!" Jihyo scolded her.
"They fell asleep on the couch." Chaeyoung informed.
"At least they could sleep. I couldn't sleep all night because of these two here." Tzuyu gestured to Saida.
"Tzuyu, how about we make some breakfast? I bet everyone is hungry." Jihyo asked and Tzuyu just nodded following the older girl into the kitchen.
"Why is that when we ask Tzuyu to do something , she won't do it. But when Jihyo asks she does it without hesitation?" Sana wondered.
---------------------
Y/N just woke up and noticed how Nayeon was sleeping next to her with her arm wrapped around her waist. Y/N blushed at the sight. No wonder she slept well, Nayeon was beside her.
She really has to pee right now, but she doesn't want to wake up the older girl. Nayeon is sleeping like a princess. So she just let the girl sleep for another 10 minutes before deciding to wake her up.
"Unnie.." Y/N shook Nayeon's shoulder.
"Hmm?" Nayeon hummed.
"Wake up. It's morning." When Nayeon heard Y/N's voice she immediately opened her eyes.
"Oh my God, I'm sorry. I didn't realise that I was leaning on you." Nayeon apologized. She feels embarrassed.
"Oh no, it's okay. We both fell asleep without realising."
"I think the girls are awake already." Y/N said when she heard noises coming from downstairs.
The two went downstairs and were just on time for breakfast.
"Ahh, here you guys are. You two suddenly disappeared last night." Sana smiled.
"We ran away from you because you kept clinging on to everyone." Nayeon laughed and everyone agreed. Sana is always clingy but it's even more intense when she's drunk.
At the sight of Y/N, Dahyun suddenly remembered how Y/N left Sana's room last night. It looked like they were planning something. Dahyun's expression changed immediately just by the thought of it.
"Babe, you okay?" Sana asked when she noticed the change in Dahyun.
"Why was Y/N in your room last night?" Everyone was taken aback by Dahyun's question especially Y/N and Sana.
"Oh, I asked her if she could go to the store because we had no drinks left." Sana lied.
"You know, I noticed how the two of you are always acting weird whenever you're in the same room." Dahyun mentioned and Jihyo and Nayeon just continued eating. They can guess where this is going.
"Weird? It's probably because I was her teacher. And Y/N doesn't have a good past with teachers, you know that." Sana tried to defend. Y/N just really hopes that Dahyun stops asking any further questions. But on the contrary Dahyun put down her chopsticks harshly, startling everyone in the room.
"Stop lying to me. I know you two are hiding something. I'm not fucking stupid. I've been noticing it ever since last year." Dahyun still can't stop thinking about how Sana was the last person Y/N saw before leaving. Why would she go see her teacher, that she doesn't even like, before leaving? It doesn't make any sense.
"Dahyun-ah..." Sana doesn't know what to say. Mainly because she doesn't know what Dahyun's suspicions exactly are. Is she suspecting that something went on between Sana and Y/N or is she suspecting about the fact that Sana is in a gang? It's hard to know when there are multiple lies in the relationship.
"Did something go on between you two? Please answer me truthfully." Finally, Dahyun asked the question she wanted to ask for a long time.
"Dahyun, I..." Sana was about to come up with an excuse but got interrupted by Y/N.
"Yes." Y/N answered looking Dahyun in the eyes. Everyone was shocked because of the sudden revelation. Her friends did have suspicions but they didn't expect them to be true. As for Nayeon and Jihyo, they didn't think that Y/N would answer truthfully.
"I can't lie to her unnie. I'm sick of lying and hiding all the time. She has the right to know." Y/N looked at Sana.
"So yes we dated in the past." Y/N looked down.
"W-when?" Dahyun stuttered.
"Around 2 years ago, before I dated Minju."
"So you dated her when you knew that I had a crush on her?" Dahyun asked as her eyes got teary. All the girls knew about her crush on Sana, including Y/N.
"Yes." Y/N sighed. She's ashamed of her past actions and behavior. Sana didn't know about this. She didn't know that Dahyun already had developed a crush on her 2 years ago and she also didn't know that Y/N knew about it.
"I can't believe you fucking did that. You knew I liked her and you dated her behind my back??" Dahyun raised her voice. The problem isn't that she dated her. The problem is that Y/N went behind her back.
"I'm sorry Dahyun-ah, I wasn't thinking back then."
"And you, you're my girlfriend. We've been dating for like 5 months and you just hid this from me?" Dahyun looked at the Japanese woman.
"I didn't think it was necessary to tell you." Sana confessed.
"How is this not important, unnie? My close friend and my girlfriend dated in the past, but I know nothing about it!"
"Dahyun-ie please." Sana pleaded but Dahyun is just very mad right now.
"I'm going, please don't follow me." Dahyun stood up harshly and walked out of the place. Sana stood up as well and was about to follow her but Nayeon stopped her.
"Don't. I'll go talk to her." Nayeon said and Sana just sighed nodding. She knows Dahyun won't listen to her at this point.
"Yah! Why did you have to tell her huh?" Sana pushed Y/N.
"What? You wanted me to lie to her? I'm sick of lying, unnie! It got me in trouble many times and I don't want to do it anymore. You may be able to lie to your girlfriend but I can't lie to a good friend of mine okay? I already feel guilty enough because I dated you knowing that she had a crush on you, so please don't make this even harder for me than it already is. You should've told her the truth a long time ago!"Â Y/N knows she's a hypocrite for telling Sana to tell Dahyun the truth because she in the past also hid this from her girlfriend.
"Are you serious? I didn't even know that Dahyun liked me back then. You should've told her that you were dating the teacher that she likes. Why didn't you do it, huh?"
"Because I was an asshole! I was selfish and didn't care about people around me. If I could go back then I never would have dated you, because I know how much it would hurt my friend!"
"Oh so now you're saying that you regret dating me?" Sana raised her eyebrows.
"Unnie, I'm not saying that. I'm just saying we could've prevented this from happening. We're both in the wrong, so let's not blame each other and focus on how to fix things with Dahyun."Â Y/N doesn't want to fight with Sana. They should handle this like adults.
"I hate to interrupt but Y/N you knew how much Dahyun liked Sana unnie. Why didn't you just tell her back then? Didn't you think that she would find out one day?" Mina asked. She's disappointed in both Sana and Y/N.
"I knew it would break her heart if I told her, so I just decided to hide it." Y/N didn't tell her to prevent her from hurting, but back then she didn't know that you can't hide things forever. Besides lying always makes everything worse. Tell a lie once and all your truths become questionable. I mean that's if they found out that you lied.
"What was your reason for not telling her?" Momo asked Sana.
"Same reason. I didn't want her to think that there's still something going on between us." Sana answered.
"But not telling her is exactly indicating that there is still something going on." Tzuyu said. Y/N just sighed. She knew this was going to happen. It reminds her of the times where she did the same thing to Nayeon. Oh how she wishes she could turn back time. She didn't think it was a big deal back then, but now she can see how much she actually hurt Nayeon by lying to her.
----------------------------------------
Nayeon followed Dahyun outside to check on her. She knows exactly how Dahyun is feeling since she went through the same thing.
"Dahyun-ah!" Nayeon yelled but Dahyun just kept going until she suddenly stopped and sat on a bench. Nayeon approached her ex-student slowly and sat down beside her. She can see that Dahyun is very much disappointed.
"Did you know about this?" Dahyun asked.
"Yes. I found out when I was dating Y/N."
"Did they hide it from you as well?" Dahyun shed a tear. She feels betrayed.
"Yes, they did. They were never planning to tell me, but I pushed them to tell me." Nayeon remembered.
"H-how did you feel when you found out?"
"I felt like shit to be honest. My best friend and girlfriend were both hiding things from me and Y/N even lied to me saying that she didn't date anyone else beside Minju." Nayeon sighed. The person Y/N was back then, is nothing like the person she is now. If it was now, Y/N wouldn't have done that.
"But you still forgave them?" The college student raised her eyebrows.
"Yes, it did take some time but I forgave them in the end."
"Why? They don't deserve to be forgiven." Dahyun shook her head.
"Look Dahyun-ie, I'm guessing Sana didn't tell you because Y/N wasn't even around. We all thought that she wasn't coming back so I guess Sana thought that it wasn't necessary to tell you." Nayeon tried to explain.
"She should've told me when Y/N came back then." Why continue to hide when the person that's involved is back?
"Yes. She should have. I know you're worried that something might be going on between the two, but I can assure you there's nothing going on between them. That's why I forgave them, because I saw how much Y/N loved me and I saw that Sana didn't want to come in between our relationship. They do care about each other, but I don't think there's any love involved. At least not right now. I know Sana loves you a lot. I've never seen Sana love someone like this. I'm not trying to tell you that you should forgive her easily, because you should not. Take your time and let her know what she did was wrong." Nayeon suggested.
"I just need time, unnie. I already knew something like this might have happened, but I never imagined it to be true because I didn't think Sana would hide something like this from me." Dahyun looked down.
"Let her explain herself and talk it out. I'm sure you'll get through this." Nayeon caressed the younger girl's arm.
"Thank you, unnie. You know ever since Sana unnie and I started dating, you've been giving me a lot of great advice." Nayeon has been around Sana and Dahyun a lot since they started dating, so she knows their relationship to some extent. Truth is Dahyun reminds her of Y/N. Sana and Dahyun's relationship is a bit similar to her past relationship with Y/N, since they're both student x teacher relationships. Seeing how Dahyun acted in her relationship reminded Nayeon of Y/N a lot.
"Dahyun-ah, how is it like to date a teacher?" Nayeon asked out of the blue.
"Why are you asking that?" Dahyun chuckled.
"I was just wondering."
"I guess you wonder how Y/N felt dating you, isn't it?" The student asked but Nayeon didn't reply.
"It was weird in the beginning. I was scared that people might judge us and I felt like Sana unnie had more power in the relationship than I had because you know she was my teacher. She had power over me at school and I couldn't really change the way I saw her in the beginning. I felt like I had to obey her even though she wasn't my teacher anymore." Wow, was that how Y/N was feeling as well?
"But luckily unnie helped me to get rid of these thoughts. Now I barely even remember that she was my teacher. But I guess it was different for Y/N since you guys dated while you were her teacher and while she was still at school." Dahyun continued.
"Maybe I should have waited like Sana, for her to graduate." Nayeon said weakly. Maybe things would have turned out different if she had waited to date her. But life's unfortunately too short to get hung up on maybes.
"Maybe. But I should go now, unnie. I feel like shit." Dahyun stood up. She needs to go home and fix herself.
"Call me if you need me, okay? And also let her at least explain herself." Nayeon hugged the girl.
"I'll try." Dahyun answered and with that she left.
-------------------------------------------------
Y/N is at home watching tv with Tiffany and Irene. Irene doesn't even live here, but why is she here everyday? The older girls were both very focused on the movie unlike Y/N. Two days has passed since what happened with Dahyun and she can't stop thinking about it. She feels very guilty and she feels like a shitty person. She knew she shouldn't have come back. If she hadn't come back all of this wouldn't have happened. Dahyun never would have found out and she would still be happy with Sana. She feels like a burden to everyone. The only thing she does is create drama and hurt the people that she loves. Is it too late for her to walk out of their lives? Wouldn't it be much better for them? They don't need someone as toxic as Y/N.
"Yah Y/N! Why aren't you watching the movie??" Irene stopped the movie when she noticed how Y/N didn't pay attention at all.
"You're still thinking about Dahyun aren't you?" Tiffany knows Y/N so well, that it's low key becoming creepy.
"How can I not, unnie? I feel like shit."Â Y/N sighed.
"Just try talking to her." Irene suggested.
"I called her like 10 times today, she won't pick up. It's obvious she doesn't want to see me."
"I think you're worrying too much. It'll all be okay eventually. Both Sana and you need to win her trust back and show her that the two of you are really only just friends." Tiffany advised.
"Aish, I don't know what to do anymore. I knew coming back was a mistake."Â Y/N sighed.
"Yah, Y/N don't say that! Everyone is happy that you're back and it's not your fault anyways. Sana should have told her girlfriend." Irene said.
"I just feel like shit." The teenager admitted.
"Aw, you're so cute Y/N. Come here." Irene hugged Y/N. She always does this when Y/N feels sad. Irene really has a motherly area around her.
"I think the bell just rang, I'll get it." Tiffany stood up and opened the front door. To her surprise it was Im Nayeon. Tiffany hasn't seen Y/N's ex-girlfriend ever since Y/N left.
"Nayeon-ssi?"
"Oh hi, I'm sorry for disturbing you." Nayeon bowed lightly.
"I'm guessing you're here for Y/N right?" Nayeon nodded.
"Well, come in. She's inside." Tiffany widened the door.
"Thank you."
"It's been so long since I last saw you." Tiffany said.
"Yeah, it really has been long."
"Unnie, who is it?"Â Y/N yelled from the couch.
"It's Ms. Im." Tiffany answered and both her and Nayeon went to the living room. When Nayeon entered the living room her blood started to boil at the sight of Y/N cuddling with Irene.
"Unnie, what are you doing here?"Â Y/N immediately stood up.
"I went to your office, but you weren't there. You're also not picking up your phone so I was kinda worried." Nayeon admitted.
"Oh, yeah I took a day off and I haven't been checking my phone lately. I'm sorry. But why were you looking for me?"
"You were gonna give me the keys to the new apartment today." Nayeon reminded her. Everything is done, so Nayeon can move in anytime she wants. She only needs the keys which she was supposed to receive today from Y/N.
"Oh my God. I totally forgot about that. I'm so sorry, unnie."Â Y/N held her head. How can she forget something so important?
"It's okay."
"No, it's not. Aish, I don't know how I forgot about that. I'll get the keys from the owner tomorrow and I'll bring them to you when you're done with work. Is that okay?"
"Yes, that's okay." Nayeon smiled weakly.
"Again, I'm very sorry."Â Y/N kept apologising.
"I said it's okay Y/N. Don't worry about it. I just came to see if you stood me up or something." Nayeon joked.
"No, no, of course not. I would never do that. I promise I'll bring the keys tomorrow."
"She's been forgetful for the past few days. Please forgive her." Irene said but Nayeon glared at her without even noticing.
"I should go now. I'll be waiting for the keys tomorrow." Nayeon informed and Y/N nodded. She feels bad for forgetting it.
"Nayeon-ssi, we were just about to have dinner. Why don't you stay with us for dinner?" Tiffany suggested.
"Oh no, thank you. I should just go." Nayeon answered and Tiffany looked at Y/N telling her silently to convince Nayeon to stay for dinner.
"Please stay for dinner. You came all the way here and I feel guilty for forgetting so I won't let you go home hungry."Â Y/N let her know.
"Okay then." Nayeon agreed.
"Y/N I need some help. Can you join me in the kitchen?"Â Tiffany asked.
"Ah yes, I'm coming. Make yourself comfortable."Â Y/N smiled to her ex-girlfriend before going to the kitchen leaving Nayeon behind with Irene.
"Ah, she's so well mannered sometimes." Irene shook her head jokingly.
"She wasn't like this before. I believe it's partly your doing that she's well mannered now?" Nayeon asked.
"I did help her, but it's mostly her doing. I'm very proud of her." Irene exclaimed.
"Me too." Nayeon whispered to herself. After like 2 minutes Y/N and Tiffany came back and the four of them had dinner. It was a bit awkward for Nayeon to have dinner with her ex-girlfriend and her friends but it surprisingly went well.
"Y/N you have something on your face." Irene noticed.
"Oh where?"Â Y/N tried wiping it away but missed it.
"Let me get it." Irene took a tissue and wiped Y/N's face smiling. Nayeon felt her blood boiling again. Why is she getting so jealous, aish. Irene of course noticed how Nayeon kept glaring at her. Irene has no interest in Y/N at all. She really feels like a big sister to Y/N, but Nayeon doesn't know that. Irene just continues to do this because she thinks that maybe if Nayeon gets jealous she'll realise sooner that she still has some left over feelings for Y/N.
"Uhm, I should go now. Thank you so much for dinner." Nayeon stood up.
"Anytime, Nayeon-ssi. Please come over whenever you like." Tiffany smiled. Nayeon still can't believe how Y/N got along with Tiffany in the past. Tiffany is so nice and Y/N was not nice at all, so it was a surprise that they got along. But now since Y/N has changed her attitude, it isn't so surprising anymore.
"I'll walk you to your car."Â Y/N informed and followed Nayeon to the parking lot.
"Please bring the keys tomorrow. You won't forget it this time right?" Nayeon knows the younger won't forget, but she's just teasing her right now.
"I won't. I won't."Â Y/N shook her head.
"Have you talked to Dahyun already?" The teacher knows that Y/N is sad about what happened.
"No, I tried calling her but she isn't picking up."
"It'll be okay, Y/N. She's just disappointed. Just give her time and it will all be okay."
"I hope so."Â Y/N answered.
"Hey! Are you going to leave or what?" A guy suddenly yelled. It's Y/N's neighbour and he's been acting like a shithole ever since he moved in here. He keeps disturbing everyone that lives around the building.
"A parking lot isn't for you to stand and talk. It's to park your car, so stop fucking talking and leave." The guy approached them. The guy is a gang member and he knows who Y/N is, it's the daughter of his enemy, so that's why he keeps nagging at Y/N. But luckily Y/N managed to keep calm until now.
"Why does it matter? Are we standing in your way or something?"Â Y/N asked.
"You're disturbing me. So go home or go away." Nayeon is surprised by the sudden scene happening in front of her. Who is this guy? It seems like they know each other.
"She'll go home after we're done talking."
"You can't fucking talk here. She needs to leave now." The guy went closer to Y/N. Nayeon saw how Y/N tightened her fist. She's scared something is going to happen.
"Please get out of my face."Â Y/N pleaded as she clenched her teeth.
"What if I don't? What are you going to do?" The guy is so fucking annoying. Y/N's blood is boiling right now, she really wants to beat the shit out of him, but she can't. She hasn't gotten in a fight for a year now. She can't break that streak. Especially not in front of Nayeon.
Nayeon saw how the guy was about to punch Y/N, so before he could do anything Nayeon punched the guy first making him fall. Nayeon is surprised that she did this. She has never punched anyone before and she wishes she hadn't done that because her hand hurts a lot right now. Y/N didn't know what to do. She's never seen Nayeon like this. Normally it's always Y/N that protects her but now Nayeon protected her.
"You fucking bitch." The guy stood up and Y/N immediately pulled Nayeon behind her so that the guy wouldn't be able to hurt her.
"Jihoon, we need to go!" Another guy yelled in the distance
"You're lucky that I have no time to deal with this bullshit." The guy said and ran to his friend. Y/N took a deep breath after he left. Whenever she's in a situation like this she stops breathing until it's over. It distracts her from the anger inside of her.
"Who the hell was that?"
"He's a gang member. An enemy of my dad's."
"He lives around here?" Nayeon asked and Y/N nodded.
"Y/N isn't that dangerous? What if they do something to you?" The older girl worried.
"Don't worry about it. I'll be fine. Are you okay? Is your hand okay?"Â Y/N checked Nayeon's hand.
"It hurts a bit, but it's okay."
"We should go back inside and take care of it."
"No need, Y/N. I'll take care of it at home." Y/N continued to worry, but Nayeon just shrugged it off.
"I can't believe you did that." Y/N suddenly laughed. Truth is Nayeon was very hot when she did that. Y/N is falling for this woman even harder now.
"Yah! It's not funny! He was about to punch you, so you should thank me for saving you." When she saw how the guy was about to hurt Y/N, she couldn't just stand there watching. She felt the need to protect the younger girl.
"Thank you. I really do appreciate it."Â Y/N said sincerely.
"You're so violent, Ms. Im."Â Y/N joked. She's enjoying this as you can tell. She's probably gonna tease the older girl a lot with this in the future.
"Shut the fuck up." Nayeon hit Y/N's shoulder. Ah there it is again. Y/N missed this.
"You really need to tell me how you manage to control your anger like that. It's very impressive." From the way Y/N tightened her fist and the expression on her face, Nayeon saw how angry the younger girl got. But she still managed to control herself. It's pretty impressive since it took only one word for Y/N to get into a fight in the past.
"I have my ways."Â Y/N laughed.
"Yah, just tell me! I'm curious!"
"That's for another time seongsaengnim. You should go now."Â Y/N smiled.
"W-what?" Nayeon stuttered. Did Y/N really say seongsaengnim or did she hear wrong?
"What?"Â Y/N repeated. She didn't notice that she said seongsaengnim.
"You just called me seongsaengnim."Â Y/N widened her eyes when Nayeon told her that. Fuck, she thought.
"O-oh, I'm sorry. It really just slipped my mouth." Y/N scratched her head out of embarrassment. Nayeon noticed how Y/N has this new habit.
"It's okay. At least it's better than you calling me Ms. Im." Nayeon really hates how Y/N keeps calling her Ms. Im ever since she came back. She always liked how Y/N called her seongsaengnim in the past. It annoyed the shit out of her in the beginning, but it soon disappeared after she realised that it was a meaningful nickname to Y/N. She never told Y/N that though.
"But you're not my seongsaengnim anymore."
"I'll always be your seongsaengnim." Y/N widened her eyes. The meaning of seongsaengnim isn't just "teacher" between the two, it changed throughout their relationship to something like "my love".
"I'll always teach you English whenever you need it."Â Nayeon soon realised what she said so she tried to safe herself. Y/N got somewhat disappointed when she heard that.
"Anyways I need to go now. See you tomorrow Y/N."
"Yeah, see you tomorrow." And with that the older girl left.
