"Y/N, what happened? You look like a mess." Tiffany asked as soon as Y/N entered the apartment. Y/N cried on Minju's shoulder for like an hour before she decided to come home.
"I got expelled."Â Y/N answered calmly.
"Wait, what? Why??"
"I hit a teacher and now I got expelled." Y/N answered. Tiffany of course got curious and decided to ask Y/N more about it, and with that Y/N told her everything.
"What will you do now?" The guardian also knows that Y/N's only goal was just to graduate.
"I don't know, I really don't fucking know."Â Y/N sighed.
"Maybe you should leave and go somewhere where you can take your mind off of things. Staying here isn't very healthy for you right now." Tiffany suggested, which didn't sound bad to Y/N at all. She hates it here and she only gets worse every single day.
"Where should I even go to? I don't have money to go somewhere."Â Y/N said and suddenly Tiffany remembered something.
"Actually would you want to go to the countryside? A friend of mine lives at the countryside and she's looking for someone to work for her at the farm. Don't you think it would be nice to go there? It's a very peaceful place. You'll be able to take your mind off of things. No one will be able to find you and you'll get paid for working there."
"I don't know. I don' think I'll be able to pull that off. I've never done anything that's related to the farm."Â Y/N admitted.
"You don't have to worry about that. My friend will teach you. So what do you think?"
"I promised Nayeon that I'm going to become a person that she deserves. Going to therapy doesn't help that much, so maybe going away from here will help."Â Y/N is going to try everything until she becomes the person that she wants to be.
"What will you do when you become a person that she deserves?"
"I'll go back to her. It might take very long and she probably won't wait for me, but I don't care. I will fulfil my promise. Even though the chances are very low for us to end up together again, I will still fight for her. I know I'm never going to be able to love anyone as much as her, so I don't mind fighting for her."Â Y/N explained.
"How are you so sure that you won't love anyone else the same way? You're only 17. You're gonna meet a lot of people." Tiffany does have a point. She's young, she'll meet a lot of people in her life.
"I know, but I'm just sure. I don't know what makes me so sure of it, I can just feel it."
"If you say so. I made some food, it's in the fridge. How about you eat something and I go call my friend?" Y/N nodded and with that Tiffany left to call her friend. After like 20 minutes she returned while Y/N was still eating.
"So I called my friend and she was actually very happy to hear that I found someone for her." Tiffany sat down at the table.
"Do you think this will really help? What if I actually become even worse there?"Â Y/N is scared. Scared that she'll turn out to be even more like her father.
"The only way you'll find out is by going, Y/N."
"Are you sending me away because you're sick of me?"Â Y/N chuckled and that made Tiffany smile.
"Of course not, you know that I only want the best for you. I believe that that place will do you good and my friend is very nice. I think you'll get along with her." Tiffany smiled weakly.
"I don't think I can stay here after what happened today, so you're right. I should just leave for a while and get away from all the negative energy that's around me."
"There's a bus on friday morning. Should I buy you a ticket?" The guardian asked.
"No, I will buy it myself. You already did so many things for me, I don't even know how I'll repay you."Â Y/N is so so thankful that Tiffany entered her life. The guardian takes care of the teenager very well.
"If you say so Y/N-ah. You do need to promise me that you'll call me every day and that you'll come back as soon as you're ready. I can't miss you too much. Also promise me that you won't like my friend more than you like me."
"I promise, unnie. Don't worry about that."
"Whenever you feel ready, you can figure out what to do next. Wether that's to graduate or to work or whatever it is. You'll figure it out step by step." Tiffany assured. Y/N's eyes started to get teary again, but she was holding it all in, which Tiffany obviously noticed.
"You don't have to act tough around me, Y/N. Cry all you want. It's natural for you to cry right now. So let it all out." Tiffany stood up and patted Y/N's head before leaving her alone.
-------------------
3 days have passed and the day for Y/N to leave has come. She feels nervous. She doesn't know if she's making the right decision by leaving, but she trusts Tiffany and if Tiffany says that that place will help her then she'll give it a chance.
"Yah, Y/N. I'm gonna miss you so much. Come back soon, yeah?" Tiffany hugged Y/N at the bus station.
"If I don't like it there, I'll probably come back even tomorrow."Â Y/N joked.
"That's impossible. I'm sure you'll like it there. I do think you should've at least told your friends about it. They'll get worried."Â Y/N didn't tell anyone that she's leaving. The only person that knows about it is her guardian. The reason why she didn't tell her friends is because the same goes for them as for Nayeon. She doesn't deserve them as her friends. She'll come back to them when she becomes a person that deserves their friendship.
"Y/N..." A voice said from behind. Y/N turned around to see Ms. Sana. What is she doing here?
"Why are you here?"Â Y/N asked with furrowed eyebrows.
"I might have told her that you're leaving. I'm sorry." Tiffany said. Sana tried to reach Y/N for the last 3 days, but she couldn't, so she called her guardian. Tiffany knows that Y/N asked her not to tell anyone, but she had to at least tell Sana about it.
"I'll leave you two alone." Tiffany said before she hugged Y/N once again and they bid their goodbyes.
"So you're really leaving, huh?" Sana started talking and Y/N just nodded slowly.
"Do you think that's the right thing to do?" The teacher asked.
"I don't know. Only time will tell."
"I really hope that you're doing the right thing. You know I want the best for you, right? Even if you hate me and even if you've hurt my best friend, I still care about you and I still want the best for you." Sana informed.
"I don't hate you, Ms. Sana. I could never hate you." Finally, Y/N said the truth. She always pretended to hate the older girl, but the truth is she could never hate her.
"That's good to hear." Sana smiled weakly. "Come back soon, yeah? I'll miss you." Sana really wants to hug Y/N right now, but she knows that the chances of Y/N pushing her away are very high. But to her surprise, Y/N hugged her instead.
"Thank you."Â Y/N whispered.
"For what?" Sana said hugging the younger back.
"For everything. For still staying by my side even when I was a huge asshole to you."Â Y/N said pulling away.
"Will I be able to contact you?"
"I think it's best if I don't contact anyone. So please don't try to reach me. I will contact you when I'm ready, okay?" Sana just nodded. Whatever is best for Y/N.
"I need to go now. My bus will leave In 5 minutes."Â Y/N informed and was about to walk away but turned around to say one last thing.
"Unnie, can you tell my friends that I'm leaving? I didn't tell them about this. And also tell them that they shouldn't try to reach me. I'll contact them when the time comes." Y/N asked. Sana was happy to hear that Y/N finally called her unnie again. She hasn't called her unnie ever since what Sana did.
"I will Y/N. Don't worry about it." And with that Y/N got in the bus and left.
"Is she gone?" Tiffany approached Sana.
"Yeah, she is." Sana sighed. She's sad to see the teenager leave.
"Do you think she'll be okay?" Sana asked.
"I hope she'll be. I didn't want to send her away, but I didn't know what else to do. Hopefully my friend will be able to help her."
"I really hope so. Will you be in contact with her?"
"Yeah, I will be. I won't leave her alone even if I'm not beside her." Tiffany informed.
"Can you tell me when something bad happens to her? Or when she needs something?" As long as Y/N is doing okay, Sana doesn't mind that she can't contact her. But if the student is doing bad, Sana wants to be there for her.
"I will, Sana-ssi."
-------------------------------
As soon as Sana arrived at school she thought about Y/N's last request before she left, which was to tell her friends about her leaving. She looked around the entire school looking for one of her friend's and luckily after like 10 minutes she found Dahyun.
"Dahyun-ah, can we talk?" She approached the student.
"Oh hey, Ms. Minatozaki. What do you want to talk about?"
"It's about Choi Y/N." Dahyun widened her eyes upon hearing Y/N's name. She and her friends haven been trying to contact Y/N ever since the day she got expelled. They even went to her house but they couldn't find her there and her guardian didn't give out much information either.
"Y/N? Do you know something?"
"I actually saw her a couple of days ago. Dahyun-ie she left." Sana said sadly.
"What do you mean she left?" Dahyun's heart dropped when she heard that.
"She didn't want to stay here anymore so she decided to leave and go somewhere else." Sana explained.
"H-how do you know this?"
"Her guardian told me that she was gonna leave so I went to the bus station and there I saw her. She told me to tell you that she's leaving and that you and her friends shouldn't try to contact her. She said that she will contact you when the time is right."
"Where did she go to?"
"From what I've heard she went to Busan, but I don't know if that's true." Ms. Minatozaki replied. Tiffany did lie about where Y/N was going, because she knows Y/N would be mad at her if she told Sana where she really went to.
"I knew this was gonna happen." Dahyun said sadly. Of course she's sad that her friend left.
"Don't be sad, Dahyunie. It's what's best for Y/N." Sana caressed the student's arm.
"I guess it is. I should go and tell my friends about this." Sana nodded and with that Dahyun went to the cafeteria to find her friends since it's lunch time. She saw her friends sitting at their usual table so she sat down joining them.
"Have any of you heard from Y/N already? It's been like a week, and we still can't reach her." Mina asked.
"No, I keep asking her guardian but it looks like Y/N told her not to tell us anything." Chaeyoung answered.
"Aish, why is she making us worry so much?" Tzuyu is annoyed with the fact that Y/N doesn't let them know anything when they're this worried about her.
"I actually heard something." Dahyun interrupted and all of them looked at her waiting for her to continue.
"Apparently she left to Busan. She won't be back for a while."
"What? Who told you?" Momo asked.
"Ms. Minatozaki told me. Apparently she spoke to Y/N before she left. Y/N told her to tell us that we shouldn't try to contact her and that she'll contact us when the time is right." Dahyun told them.
"Why would she leave though?" Chaeyoung asked.
"Babe, isn't it obvious? This whole environment is messing up her mental health. I think it's good that she left, she needs to be somewhere peaceful to become better." Mina said looking at Chaeyoung.
"Yeah, you're right." Wherever Y/N goes, people look at her like she's some kind of criminal. So how will she get better in an environment like this? An environment where people keep pushing her limits. Staying here, will be worse for Y/N than leaving.
"But wait, how does Ms. Minatozaki even know? Isn't it kinda weird that Y/N asked Ms. Minatozaki to tell us?" Tzuyu wondered. Sana is just her teacher, who Y/N doesn't even like, so why would she ask Sana to tell her friends all of this?
"I actually didn't think about that. Now that you mentioned it, it does seem kinda fishy." Dahyun made a mental note to ask the teacher about this later on.
"Maybe Y/N was also involved with Ms. Minatozaki." Momo joked, but obviously no one found it funny.
"Unnie, shut the fuck up. Even joking about that is not funny." Tzuyu scolded her. They all looked at Dahyun to see her reaction and like expected Dahyun's expression changed. Is there a possibility that the two were actually involved? Now that Dahyun thinks about it, Sana has been asking her about Y/N a lot and Y/N always acted differently around Sana.
"I need to go." Dahyun suddenly said and stood up leaving her friends behind.
"Yah, look what you did, Momo unnie. You always mess things up, aish." Chaeyoung expressed her annoyance. They all knew that Momo meant it as a joke, but behind the joke they all found some truth in it. That's why no one actually found it funny.
-----------------------
Y/N finally arrived at the place where Tiffany send her to. She's literally in the middle of nowhere. What will she do here?
"Hey, are you Choi Y/N?" A woman approached her.
"Y-yeah, I'm Y/N."
"I'm Tiffany's friend. My name is Irene. Nice to meet you." The woman smiled and offered her hand for a hand shake, which Y/N accepted. Y/N has no choice but to be nice to this woman.
"Let's go inside." Irene suggested and Y/N followed her into the house. The house was pretty big and like we said earlier, in the middle of nowhere.
"Tiffany told me a lot about you. I'm excited to have you here."
"Thank you for having me."Â Y/N bowed.
"I think it'll take some time for you to adjust since you grew up in the city. But I think this will be a great place for you to take your mind off of things." Tiffany didn't tell Irene that much about Y/N's situation. She just told her that the younger is dealing with a lot right now.
"You know a couple of years ago Tiffany was also going through a hard time, so she came here and felt a lot better afterwards. I think that's why she send you here as well." Irene smiled. Y/N didn't know that Tiffany came here as well.
"Do you live here alone?"Â Y/N asked in curiosity.
"No, I live here with my family. They actually should be here by now. Oh there they are!"Â Y/N looked behind her and saw 4 kids that were making a lot of noise followed by a man and woman, who she guesses are their parents.
"You seem shocked. I guess Tiffany didn't mention this?"
"No. She did not." If Tiffany had mentioned this, she never would've come.
After Irene introduced Y/N to everyone, she showed her the guest room. The room is pretty decent. Y/N hopes she'll be able to survive here, and most importantly that this will help her with all the shit that's in her mind.
--------------------------
Sana and Jihyo decided to go check on how Nayeon is doing. They haven't seen her ever since that day and honestly they're both pretty worried about her, so they decided to go to her apartment.
"What are you doing here?" Nayeon said opening the front door.
"Can we come in?" Sana asked. Nayeon just nodded and let them in. Both the girls could see that Nayeon was a mess. She doesn't seem like she's doing well at all.
"I've been calling you, why won't you answer?" Jihyo asked as they all sat down at the table.
"I'm sorry, I really haven't been checking my phone lately." The truth is, Nayeon is too ashamed to face Jihyo. How can she face her after what she did? She is the principal after all.
"I need to go to the bathroom, I'll be right back." With that Sana stood up and went to the bathroom, leaving Nayeon alone with Jihyo, which made Nayeon very nervous.
"You seem shocked that I'm here." Jihyo started.
"Y-yeah, I didn't expect you to talk to me."
"Why? I'm your friend remember?"
"Don't you hate me? I lied to you about Y/N and I also got you in trouble. The school's reputation is also in line because of me. I'm ashamed of what I did." Nayeon admitted.
"Unnie, yes I am the principal but I'm your friend as well and that comes first. I am disappointed with you, I do admit that. I wish you had told me the truth when I asked you to, but I see how much you love her. That day I was actually very mad, I couldn't believe that you would do something like that, but after hearing your conversation with Y/N, I realised what you two mean for each other. If it were just sex or something then I would've been furious, but this is love. Who am I to come in between lovers?" Jihyo explained and Nayeon shed a tear. She doesn't deserve Jihyo after what she did.
"Don't cry, unnie." Jihyo comforted her. At this point Sana came out of the bathroom but when she saw the scene in front of her she decided to wait until they were done talking to go back to them. She doesn't want to interrupt them.
"How can I not? Look at me, Jihyo. Look at what kind of situation I got myself into."
"Do you think that this would've mattered that much if you were still together with Y/N? I mean you guys had already broken up before the news spread. What if it had happened while you were still in a relationship?" Jihyo is curious. She knows that Nayeon isn't someone that takes risks easily. The older girl must've thought a lot about it, before getting into the relationship.
"It depends. If it had happened while we were dating and if our relationship was going well, then I would've chosen Y/N over my job. But if it had happened after our problems started then I don't know what I would have done." Ms. Im answered.
"Unnie, I thought a lot about what I should do with this situation. There's only two months left until the end of the school year so I think you shouldn't come back for now. But I want you to come back next school year. Since you already broke up with Y/N, I don't see why I should fire you." Nayeon shook her head upon hearing what Jihyo said.
"Jihyo, I appreciate it a lot. But I don't think it's good for me to come back to that school. Everyone saw that picture. People will say that you're a bad principal if you don't fire me and the school's reputation will also be in line. The parents wouldn't want their kids to go to a school where a teacher dated a minor student. So even if you don't fire me, I'll resign myself."
"But unnie.." Jihyo was about to protest but got interrupted by Sana.
"She's right Jihyo. Teachers, students and parents will keep judging her. I think she should start clean at a new school. I don't think it'll be good for her mental health if she keeps working here." Jihyo knows Sana is right, but she hates to let Nayeon go. Nayeon is such a good teacher, and the three women really enjoyed working together. But everything must come to an end.
"Yeah, Sana is right. I think I'll take a break for now and look for a new school after summer break." Nayeon informed and her friends nodded.
"Have you heard anything from Y/N?" Nayeon asked Sana and Sana was taken aback. She didn't expect Nayeon to ask about Y/N, but Nayeon is curious about her ex-girlfriend's condition. Is she doing as bad as Nayeon? Or is she doing better? What are her plans now that she got expelled? These are all questions that keep going around in Nayeon's head.
"I-I.." Sana didn't know what to say. Should she tell her that Y/N left? But that will break Nayeon, how can she tell her that? But she also knows that Nayeon will get very mad at her if she keeps it from her.
"You did hear something didn't you?" Nayeon raised her eyebrows and Sana nodded.
"Y/N left." Sana said weakly.
"W-w-what?"
"She left to Busan. She told me and her friends that we shouldn't try to contact her. She thinks going away is the best thing for her to do." Sana explained. Nayeon doesn't know what to think about this. She does understand why Y/N left, but she's also still very worried about the younger girl. What if she becomes worse there? What if something happens to her there?
"Unnie, don't worry about her. I think she'll do okay." Sana assured Nayeon when she saw Nayeon's worried expression. Jihyo kept listening to the two and she found something very weird. Why did Nayeon ask Sana about Y/N? She already figured out that Sana knew about their relationship, but is Sana also close with Y/N? How come that Sana even knows that Y/N left? Jihyo just decided to shrug it off for now, she'll ask them about it later.
"Will she come back?" Nayeon asked weakly. Her heart can't bear the thought that she will never see Y/N again.
"I'm not so sure." The Japanese teacher answered.
"Didn't she promise you that she would come back to you when she becomes a person that you deserve?" Jihyo recalled their conversation in the principal office.
"She did promise me that, but I think it's just an empty promise."
"Why?" Sana asked.
"She's only 17. Her mind will change a lot and she will meet a lot of new people. She probably won't even remember me after a couple of years. So there's no point in waiting. I should just move on."
"Unnie, Y/N is a girl of her words. If she promised you that, she'll keep it."
"Sana please, don't. I don't want to have hope in me. This is the end and we should all just accept it." To be honest Nayeon doesn't believe that Y/N will come back at all. Y/N told her that she'll come back when she's a better person, but Y/N is in such a bad state of mind right now, that it might take her even 10 years to become a good person. So Nayeon just decided to give up...
