Chapter 32

After school Y/N went to work as usual, but her mind is not at work right now. She keeps thinking about what happened today. Nayeon seemed really hurt and mad about Y/N lying to her. So instead of focusing on work, Y/N kept thinking on how to fix the mess she caused.

After work the student decided to go to Nayeon's appartment. They need to talk about what happened. Y/N won't be able to sleep unless she fixes this. It's already 9pm and Y/N is in front of Nayeon's appartment right now. Y/N was hesitant about if she should knock or not. What if Nayeon breaks up with her? What if she doesn't forgive her? Then it would all be over for Y/N. She can't manage to lose her lover.

Y/N gathered up all her courage and knocked on the door. After about 20 seconds Nayeon opened it but when she saw who was behind the door, she slammed the door shut.

"Unnie, please... Let me talk to you." Y/N pleaded from behind the door. Ever since Nayeon came back home, she's been thinking about her relationship with Y/N. Ever since the article got released Y/N has been acting different. It's like she isn't herself. Nayeon keeps seeing a new side of the younger and she's worried. Worried that the younger will do something wrong but also worried that she won't be able to handle her. Nayeon always told herself that she can deal with Y/N, even though most people can't. But it's getting harder and harder each day.

Y/N kept knocking and pleading. She won't leave until Nayeon opens the door. So Nayeon finally opened but she didn't even spare a glance at Y/N and walked back to the couch. The student entered and closed the door behind her.

"I need to talk to you." Y/N informed.

"I don't have anything to say to you." Nayeon was about to leave but Y/N held her arm stopping her.

"Please, just hear me out."

"Fine. You have 5 minutes." The older answered and sat on the couch, Y/N sitting next to her.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you."

"I'm sick of hearing you say sorry. You always say sorry but keep doing things wrong." Nayeon said harshly.

"I know, I'm fucking stupid. I didn't want to tell you about Sana because I was scared. I was scared that you we're going to think that there's still something going on between us or that you wouldn't want to date me because I dated your best friend in the past."

"You not telling me, gives the impression that there is still something going on between you two. Don't you think?" I mean why would she hide it if there's nothing going on between them?

"I know it may look that way, but there's really nothing left of those feelings. My feelings for her are completely gone and it's the same for her feelings."

"Why did you lie about that tattoo?"

"I didn't want you to think that I am a gang member, because I'm not."

"Then why the fuck do you have that tattoo?" Nayeon is really starting to think that Y/N is actually a gangster. I mean she did live in that neighbourhood and she also has their signature tattoo.

"My dad tattooed it on me when I was a kid. He wanted everyone to know that I come from a gangster family." Y/N replied.

"That doesn't make sense. You haven't seen your father in 7 years. Did he tattoo it on you when you were 7? I can't believe that you continue to lie to me."

"I'm not lying! I was 10 when he put that tattoo on me. I already told you that he's a psychopath. I didn't want that tattoo. I cried and I cried but he still put it on me!"

"Even if you're telling me the truth, how am I supposed to believe you after all those lies?? How am I supposed to trust you again?" Nayeon started yelling as she stood up.

"Look, I promise, I'm not lying right now. You know everything now. There's nothing else that I'm hiding!"

"I don't know if I should believe you." Nayeon said weakly as her eyes got teary. She lost all her trust in her girlfriend.

"Look at me unnie." Y/N said as she stood up in front of Nayeon. "I'm really telling the truth this time. I don't wanna lose you, please forgive me. It won't happen again."

"Y/N ever since that article got released, you haven't been yourself. I got to see a different side of you and that side is scary. It's like you became someone else. When I became your girlfriend I knew that there were going to be hardships and I accepted that but I didn't sign up for this. You're making it very hard for me. I don't know if I can keep doing this. I don't know if I'm going to be able to deal with you if you continue being like this." Nayeon admitted. Y/N didn't know Nayeon was thinking that way so she was taken aback.

"You were actually improving, but now you're worse than you were before. I thought that getting out of that neighbourhood and going to therapy was going to help but I can see it's not helping." Nayeon sat back down.

"I-I didn't know you felt that way. I admit that that article released some things in me that I didn't even know I had in me. I'm not being myself right now, but I also can't help it. I'm a fucking mess, unnie, I know that. But please give me one more chance, I promise I'm going to become better." Y/N said as she sat down next to Nayeon but the older kept silent. She didn't know what to say.

"A-are you breaking up with me?" Y/N said as her eyes got teary. She can't lose Nayeon.

"I don't know, I need time to think about it."

"Okay. I'll give you time. I guess I should go now." Y/N stood up, kissed Nayeon's forehead and left the appartment. Nayeon wanted to tell her to stay but she couldn't let herself say that. As soon as Y/N left, she burst out crying and the same happened with Y/N when she left the appartment.

A week has passed and Nayeon decided to not break up with Y/N, but their relationship is pretty broken. It's not the same as it was before, and it might never be the same as it was before. Nayeon just hopes that Y/N doesn't mess it up.

Y/N just finished work and was walking home when suddenly Jungkook approached her. There's no one on the streets since it's pretty late so Y/N could spot him immediately.

"If it isn't Choi Y/N. Why are you here? Shouldn't you be fucking Ms. Im?" He laughed. Y/N clenched her fist but decided to ignore him and continued to walk.

"Hey gangster! Don't ignore me like that!"

"I'm not a fucking gangster!" Y/N said as she stopped walking.

"Oh yes you are. I saw it with my own eyes. You in that neighbourhood and that tattoo of yours. I even took pictures of it." He laughed.

"Wait, you did it didn't you? You fucking wrote that article?" Y/N yelled as she went closer to him.

"Hell yeah I did. You're so slow Y/N, I was waiting for you to find out yourself but I guess you're not that good of a gangster after all."

"You fucking jerk." Y/N said as she punched him in the face.

"Is that all you got Choi Y/N?" He said as he held his cheek. Y/N is trying really hard to control herself, but the voices in her head are telling her to kill him. The more she tries to ignore them the louder they get. And Jungkook challenging her, isn't really helping either.

"C'mon, let's have a fight. Or are you scared huh? How can..." Before Jungkook could continue Y/N pushed him to the ground and started punching him again and again.

"You." Punch. "Fucking." Punch. "Asshole." Punch. "I've tried years hiding my identity. You ruined everything for me!" Punch. " Why the fuck do you hate me that much huh?" Punch. "I fucking broke if off with Minju a year ago what else do you want?" Y/N yelled as she kicked him. Jungkook's nose started bleeding heavily and he kept coughing but Y/N continued to kick him until she got tired.

"I don't hate you because of Minju." Jungkook started talking. His voice is so weak that Y/N could barely understand.

"I hate you because of what you did to my dad. Do you remember the man that you ran over? You ran him over and then drove away, like nothing happened. He's my dad. He can't walk and will be in a wheel chair for the rest of his life. You ruined his fucking life!" Jungkook told her. But he's so weak right now that he might pass out any moment.

"W-what?" Y/N stood there in shock. She suddenly remembered what happened. It was about two years ago when Y/N just had moved to her father's neighbourhood. Taehyung and his dad taught her how to drive a car, even though she was only 15 at the time, which is not allowed. One day Taehyung called her saying that he's in danger, so Y/N took his car and drove to wherever he was, but on her way she hit a man while driving. It was dark so Y/N wasn't sure if she actually hit someone so she didn't get out of the car and drove away so she wouldn't get in trouble.

"Stop right there!" Someone suddenly yelled and approached Y/N and Jungkook. Jungkook has passed out by now. The two men that came were police officers.

"I'll take her to the police station and you call an ambulance for him. He's losing a lot of blood." The police officer said as he checked Jungkook's condition. Y/N was still thinking about what Jungkook said so she didn't even protest when the officers put her in the car and brought her to the police station.

"You're in big trouble lady. The guy you beat up isn't doing well. I hope for you that there isn't a lot of damage. I'm gonna call your guardian now. You're lucky you're a minor." The officer said and called Tiffany.

"Hello, is this Choi Y/N's guardian?" The police officer asked the person who he was calling.

"Yes, it's me." Tiffany answered.

"I need you to come to the police station. Y/N got herself in trouble." He explained.

"Wait, what? What happened?"

"She got into a fight. I need you to come here as fast as possible."

"Okay, I'm on my way." Tiffany sighed as she hung up the phone. What the fuck did you do now Choi Y/N? She was about to leave her house but when she opened the front door she was met with Nayeon.

"Nayeonshi? What are you doing here?" This really isn't a good timing.

"Is Y/N here? I keep calling her but I can't reach her." Tiffany was hesitant on whether or not she should tell Nayeon the truth.

"I just got a call from the police station. She apparently got into a fight."

"What??? With who, how?" Nayeon raised her voice.

"I don't know, Nayeon-ssi. I'm going to the police station now."

"I'm coming with you." Nayeon informed and the guardian just nodded.

When they reached the police station, they went inside running. They really hope Y/N didn't do something bad.

"Hi, I was asked to come here. I'm Choi Y/N's guardian." Tiffany said to the officer.

"Please follow me." They followed the officer to his office and there he started explaining what happened.

"We got a call that there was a fight going on. Apparently Y/N got into a fight with a guy named Jeon Jungkook. Do you know him?" The officer asked.

"They go to the same school." Nayeon answered.

"She beat him up pretty badly. He's in the hospital right now and he isn't doing very well."

"He's in the hospital??" Nayeon yelled. She's in shock. This isn't the first time that Y/N got into a fight, but she never beat up someone to the point that they had to go to the hospital.

"Nayeon-ah, how about you go to Y/N and I handle everything here?" Tiffany suggested and Nayeon nodded leaving the office. She went to the other office where an officer guided her to and saw Y/N sitting with handcuffs on. When Y/N saw her girlfriend approaching she stood up. She didn't expect Nayeon to be here. What is she doing here?

"Unnie..." Y/N couldn't continue what she was saying because she got slapped in the face. Nayeon has surely been slapping the younger a lot lately.

"Don't you dare say anything. We'll talk when we're out of here." Nayeon is furious. The more she tells Y/N to stay out of trouble, the more she actually gets in trouble. She's sick of getting her girlfriend out of trouble all the time.

After about 15 minutes Tiffany came back and told them that they're ready to go.

"I can go?" Y/N asked weakly while the officer took off her handcuffs.

"Yes. Apparently the guy is doing okay and you should be thankful for your guardian saving you." The officer said and left. The three went to Tiffany's car, Y/N sitting in the back, Tiffany driving and Nayeon in the passenger seat.

"Nayeon-ssi do you wanna come to our place or should I drop you off at yours?"

"Just drop me off at my place please." The guardian nodded. Nayeon knows she should confront Y/N about what happened but she doesn't have the energy to do it right now.

"It's here right?" Tiffany asked as she stopped the car.

"Yes, it's here. Thank you for the ride."

"Unnie..." Y/N wanted to say something, but she can't. She knows she's in the wrong and she knows Nayeon is very disappointed with her right now.

"We'll talk later, Y/N. Please, just leave me alone for the night." Nayeon said as she left the car.

"She's furious, you know that right?" Tiffany asked.

"Yeah, I know. I messed up again. How about you? Aren't you mad?"

"I'm not mad, I'm disappointed. What were you thinking? What if something bad happened to him? You're lucky I managed to get you out for now, but I won't be able to do that for the second time, Y/N. So you better stop doing whatever it is that you're doing."

The next day Nayeon decided to go to the hospital to check on Jungkook. She couldn't sleep all night because she was thinking about what to do with Y/N. The younger girl is getting so out of hand that Nayeon is thinking about giving up.

The teacher arrived at the hospital and found the room that Jungkook is in. She knocked on the door weakly and she heard a voice telling her to enter, so she did. Jungkook didn't expect Nayeon to be here so he was a bit taken aback.

"Ms. Im?"

"Hey Jungkook. How are you?" Jungkook wasn't the only one in the room, there was also a man and a woman, which Nayeon is guessing are his parents.

"I'm okay, what brings you here?"

"I wanted to check on you." Nayeon answered. He has a lot of bruises and an arm cast, but he seems to be doing okay.

"Who is this young lady?" The woman asked.

"Oh I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Im Nayeon. Jungkook's English teacher." Nayeon said as she shook hands with both of his parents. His parents seem lovely and caring.

"I heard about what happened so I decided to check on him myself." The teacher explained.

"Good to know that our Jungkook has a caring teacher." The man laughed. Nayeon at first didn't notice that Mr. Jeon is in a wheelchair, but when she took a closer look she realised that he's sitting in a wheelchair.

"Honey, we should go get some food for Jungkook." The woman suggested and the man nodded as they both left the room leaving the teacher and student alone.

"Why are you really here, Ms. Im?"

"I already told you why I'm here." Jungkook shook his head. He knows that she's here for Y/N.

"I know you're here to save Y/N's ass, so don't even bother."

"I'm not here to save her ass. I came here to see the damage that she caused." Ms. Im admitted.

"Well, this is the damage as you can see. I have bruises everywhere, my arm is broken and I can't walk properly."

"Why did you guys fight? What happened?" Nayeon was so mad yesterday that she didn't ask Y/N what actually happened.

"She found out that I wrote the articles so she got mad and you can guess the rest."

"Wait what? You wrote the articles??" Nayeon raised her voice. Now she can understand a little bit better why Y/N is so angry with him. He basically exposed her to the entire school, no wonder Y/N beat him up. But still she shouldn't have done that. The way she dealt with it is wrong in so many ways.

"Yes. Are you gonna snitch me now?" Jungkook sighed.

"No, I think Y/N already did enough damage to you. But why did you do it? How did you even find out about it?"

"I see, I was right about suspecting that something is going on between the two of you." The student smirked. He didn't suspect, he already knew but of course he won't tell her that.

"Answer my question, Jeon Jungkook."

"I've been after Y/N for a while now. I needed something that could hurt her so I followed her around and that's how I found out." The reason why Jungkook is telling Ms. Im all of this is because he wants Nayeon to know what kind of person Y/N really is and what damage she caused to him.

"Why do you want to hurt her so bad? Is it all because of Minju?" Does he love Minju that much that he decided to go this far?

"No. I did like Minju in the past yeah, but I already gave up on her the moment I found out she loves someone else. My hate for Y/N comes from somewhere else."

"You saw my parents. You also might have noticed that my dad can't walk." Jungkook continued.

"Yeah I did, your parents seem lovely and caring. They're very nice."

"I know. My dad used to be a professional soccer player, it was his dream and he loved his job but unfortunately he got into a car accident two years ago. It was a hit and run and now he can't walk anymore. He had to give up on his dream and his job because of that accident. And that's why I hate Y/N."

"I'm very sorry. That's very sad to hear, but what does this have to do with Y/N?" Ms. Im doesn't get what this has to do with Y/N.

"She was the one driving. She hit him and then drove away. I didn't know at first. The police couldn't find who did it. But I didn't give up and kept searching for the person and then I found out that Y/N did it."

"W-w-what?" Nayeon can't believe her ears. This can't be true...

"You're lying. Stop lying, Jungkook."

"i'm not lying Ms. Im. I hate her for ruining my dad's life. Have you ever seen me bother someone else or be mean to someone else? No, I'm not an asshole as you might think. The only person that I hate is Y/N. She didn't only ruin my dad's life but she ruined everything for my family as well. We've been miserable ever since that accident." The student explained. Nayeon actually did think that Jungkook was a nice guy but because of his conflicts with Y/N, she was hesitant about it.

"Why are you telling me this?" Nayeon's eyes got teary. This is too much.

"Because I want you to see what kind of monster Y/N really is. You deserve to know why I hate her."

"Does she know that it was your dad?" Nayeon's voice trembled.

"She didn't until I mentioned it to her yesterday. She doesn't even seem to care which is making me even more angry." Jungkook sighed.

"Why didn't you tell the police?" If he hates her so much, why didn't he tell the police?

"I have no proof that she did it, so there's no use."

"Then how are you so sure that she did it?" Nayeon doesn't know if she should believe Jungkook but something in her is telling her that it's true.

"I'm 100% sure. I didn't want to believe it at first either."

"We're back Jungkook." The door opened and his parents entered. Nayeon's tears started flowing so she said goodbye very quickly and left the room to avoid them seeing her cry.

"Is she okay?" Mrs. Jeon asked.

"Yeah, she's okay. She's just in a hurry." Jungkook lied.

Nayeon tried to keep her tears in but she couldn't. She broke down as soon as she reached her car.

"How could you Y/N? How could you?" She yelled as she hit the steering wheel. She needs to go to Y/N as fast as possible. She needs to know if this is true. She needs to hear Y/N say, that it isn't true.

"Please tell me that you didn't, please." Nayeon said to herself as she hit the steering wheel again.
