Chapter 29

I Need You To Hate Me // Im Nayeon X Reader2,826 words~15 min read

Y/N is in Nayeon's class right now. They don't even glance at each other because they don't want to arise more suspicions than they already have. Y/N moved out from Nayeon's place a few days ago so she's living with Tiffany now. Tiffany is pretty okay, Y/N was worried at first because she annoyed the shit out of her but surprisingly the guardian knows how to deal with Y/N. She doesn't interfere with her life that much and doesn't disturb her either, which Y/N is very thankful for.

"I want you guys to complete this exercise. I'll give you 5 minutes." Nayeon said and sat down waiting for her students to finish. She was grading some assignments while waiting when her phone suddenly vibrated. She looked at the message and it was from Y/N.

Are you free after school? I wanna show you something. (Y/N)

Yeah, I'm free. But you shouldn't be on your phone during class Choi Y/N. Nayeon texted as she glanced at her student who was texting under her desk so that people couldn't see.

Are you going to give me detention, seongsaengnim? Y/N smirked.

Do the exercise. You're distracting me. (Nayeon) Y/N smiled weakly and did what she was told.

--------------------

After school Nayeon met up with Y/N. Of course they met somewhere far away from school grounds. They can't risk anyone seeing them. They haven't even gone on a date yet because someone might see them.

"Where are we going?" Nayeon asked as they walked.

"Just follow me. I want you to meet someone special." Someone special? Y/N has never mentioned someone special, who is she talking about?

"We're almost there babe. Be patient." Y/N smiled when she noticed that her girlfriend kept sighing.

"Yah, how can I be patient when you're not telling me where we're going? Are you kidnapping me Choi Y/N?" Y/N laughed at the ridiculous statement Nayeon made.

"Stop laughing!" Nayeon hit Y/N's head lightly.

"Alright, alright we're here." Nayeon looked around and they were at the cemetry?

"What are we doing here?" Nayeon asked. She has no idea why they're here.

"Come with me." Y/N said and grabbed Nayeon's hand. No one is around here anyways.

"I want you to meet my mom." Y/N said as she stopped in front of the grave of her mom.

"Oh my God Y/N, why didn't you tell me we were coming here?" Y/N didn't answer and went closer to her mom's grave.

"Hey mom. I'm sorry I haven't visited in a long time. But I brought someone you probably want to meet. Her name is Nayeon. She's my girlfriend." Y/N said as she bend down and Nayeon went closer as well.

"I know you're probably not very fond of this relationship, since she's my teacher. But I know that you still would have supported me if you were here. I remember you telling me that I should do whatever makes me happy and she makes me happy." Y/N smiled weakly. Nayeon just kept looking at Y/N. It's rare to see Y/N emotional like this and it breaks her heart.

"Remember the last time I came here I told you that I wanted to give up? That I wanted to come to you and be next to you. But a couple of days later I actually met Nayeon unnie, It was like the universe sent an angel to save me." Nayeon's mouth widened. She didn't know there was a time that Y/N wanted to give up on living.

"I bet you're disappointed with the way I turned out to be. You probably hate the fact that I ressemble my dad more than I do you, but I promise that will change. I will make you proud of me. I don't wanna be like him, I wanna be like you. You don't deserve to be lying here. I wish you were here. I wish you could scold me and yell at me for doing bad things. I really need you mom. Even though you're not here, I can feel your presence sometimes. I know you're watching over me." Y/N sighed.

"I really hate the fact that I couldn't do anything about your death and that your death never got justice. I really want to kill him for getting away with murdering you." Y/N clenched her fist and Nayeon noticed that she was getting angry just thinking about it so she approached the younger and put her hand on her shoulder.

"Y/N..." Nayeon didn't know what to say. She didn't want to interrupt her but if she doesn't calm down now, she'll burst out in anger.

"This is why I want you to meet Nayeon unnie. She's helping me to become a better person, she's helping me to find myself. I promise I will become a good person and that I won't be like him. I remember a few days before you passed away you told me that I shouldn't be like my dad, that you didn't want me to turn out like him, but I turned out to be exactly like him. I'm so sorry, I really am. I didn't want to be like this. The least I can do right now is change. I owe you that, since I never got justice for your death. I know it's been seven years but I don't care how long it takes. I will get justice."

"How?" Nayeon asked weakly.

"I don't know. I have no fucking idea." Y/N sighed. How will she get justice for something that happened 7 years ago when she was only 10?

"I just want him to pay for what he did." Y/N admitted.

"Isn't he paying for it now? I mean he's in prison."

"He's in prison for other reasons, not for this! He should be in prison for doing this!" Y/N suddenly raised her voice and Nayeon was taken aback. This is a sensitive topic for Y/N.

"Fuck, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell." Y/N looked down.

"It's okay. I know you miss your mom. Let it all out, do not keep it inside." Nayeon suggested.

"I want to cry, but I can't. Every time I cry I hear these voices in my head telling me that I'm weak when I cry. So I just don't." Y/N confessed.

"You're not weak if you cry Y/N. In fact it's something that will help you get stronger. When you cry it will ease the pain but when you keep it all inside the pain will just build up."

"I know but I can't help it. We should go now, it's getting dark." Y/N said standing up.

"How about we go get dinner somewhere, hm?  I know you're hungry." Y/N just nodded and with that they said goodbye to Y/N's mom and left the cemetry. Afterwards they decided to go to a nearby restaurant to eat kimchi fried rice.

"Is going to therapy helping? I talked to Seulgi the other day and she said that you're doing better now but I want to hear it from you." Nayeon said before she took a bite.

"I don't really know yet. She's been teaching me some techniques to control my anger, but I haven't really tried them out yet."

"You should try them out the next time you get angry, which will probably not be in that long." Nayeon chuckled.

"Yah, don't exagerrate! I don't get angry that often." Y/N tried to defend but she knows very well that she does get angry quite often.

"Hmm, sure whatever suits your plate." Nayeon smiled and so did Y/N.

"How is your family? You've never really mentioned them." Y/N wanted to ask this question ever since they started dating but she always forgot about it.

"My family is okay actually. They live in Busan, that's why I don't mention them that much. But I do have a good relationship with them."

"Do they know that you like girls?" Y/N is curious.

"Yes, they know. They also knew about my relationship with Jeongyeon."

"Were they supportive?"

"Yes. They liked Jeongyeon a lot. When I told them that we broke up, my mom was devastated." Nayeon chuckled. Hearing this made Y/N insecure. Her family liked Jeongyeon but she knows that they'll never like her for multiple reasons. First of all she's a student and 8 years younger than Nayeon. Second of all she comes from a bad family. No one would want their child to date someone like Y/N.

They continued to eat in silence when Y/N's name suddenly got called. They both looked at where the voice was coming from and it was Dahyun and Tzuyu. What the hell are they even doing here?

"Unnie, what are you doing here? We didn't expect you to be here." Dahyun asked as they approached Y/N and Nayeon's table.

"I can ask you two the same thing." Y/N furrowed her eyebrows. The reason why the couple came to this place is because they thought that no one they know would come here but here they are seeing two of Y/N's best friends at the same restaurant.

"We're here to eat. Momo unnie told us that they have great food here." Tzuyu answered. Ms. Im just looked away hoping that the two students won't say anything to her.

"Hello, Ms. Im. Sorry we're disturbing you like this." Dahyun said bowing and so did Tzuyu.

"Oh, it's okay. How about you girls join us?" Nayeon asked and Y/N raised her eyebrows.

"Oh no, it's okay we'll just sit at that table." Dahyun pointed at another table.

"No, join us. It's my treat." The teacher smiled. Y/N sighed, why is she doing this? The girls are gonna tease her so much about this. Truth is Nayeon just wants to get to know her girlfriend's friends better.

"I mean if it's your treat then why not?" Tzuyu said and sat down next to Ms. Im. Dahyun was hesitant at first but eventually sat down next to Y/N, who kept glaring at the two because they accepted Nayeon's offer.

"Yah, unnie don't glare at me like that. If we knew that you were having a date we wouldn't have walked in." Tzuyu said and Nayeon chocked on her drink.

"Are you okay?" Y/N suddenly stood up and pat the teacher's back. Tzuyu and Dahyun just smirked. They're enjoying this.

"I'm okay. I'm okay." With that Y/N sat back down.

"This isn't a date for your information, Tzuyu-ah." Y/N tried to make it clear.

"You literally just got caught, Y/N-ah. We won't believe you no matter how much you deny." Dahyun smiled.

"Hmmm, I wonder when I'll catch you with Ms. Minatozaki." Y/N joked and Dahyun hit her arm.

"Waaah, Dahyun unnie, Y/N unnie really just got back at you." Tzuyu said. The three of them kept bickering and bickering which was driving Nayeon a bit insane.

"Yah! Stop bickering and eat your food. All three of you. Now." The three immediately stopped talking and continued to eat. Ms. Im is scary.

"Ms. Im we actually wanted to thank you. Y/N used to be an asshole towards us, but ever since she met you, she's been more open and nicer towards us." Dahyun was the first one to start talking again.

"Yah, what kind of friend are you, calling me an asshole like that?"

"What? It's true?" Tzuyu interrupted.

"Well, they're not lying Y/N-ie. You've improved a lot and I'd like to think that that is partly my doing." Nayeon smiled. She suddenly remembered the first time that they met. They couldn't get along at all. She never would've guessed that they would end up as a couple.

"Guess you just needed a hot teacher to come to your senses." Tzuyu chuckled.

"Yah! You're making her uncomfortable!" Y/N scolded her. Tzuyu really doesn't know when to keep her mouth shut.

"It's okay Y/N-ie. Your friends are actually pretty funny." Nayeon smiled. She can tell that they care about Y/N a lot, even though they bicker a lot as well.

"And it's true, I'm a hot teacher." Nayeon joked and Y/N just sighed. Y/N's friends all like Ms. Im a lot. I mean how can they not like her? She's been helping their friend for the better and she's super nice. She has a bit too much confidence but other than that she's nice.

"It's getting late we should go now." Dahyun said and Tzuyu agreed. They stood up and were about to leave some money on the table but Nayeon stopped them.

"It's my treat remember?"

"Are you sure Ms. Im?"

"Yes, I am. Now go home safely." Nayeon smiled and with that the two left.

"I'm really sorry for them. I know they made you uncomfortable." Y/N apologized.

"Don't be sorry. I liked having them around, I get to see a different side of you when you're with them. And the more I see of you the more I like you." Nayeon confessed.

"Hmm really? Then you should join me and my friends all the time." Y/N chuckled.

"Yeah, I don't think that's a very good idea." Nayeon shook her head and they both laughed.

"Why? you could also bring Ms. Minatozaki I bet that'll make Dahyunie veeeery happy."

"You hate it when they tease you but you're doing the exact same thing to that poor girl."

"It serves her right. Actually now that I think of it, Dahyun doesn't tease me that much. It's mostly Tzuyu and Chaeyoung." It's the two evil maknaes that make her mad all the time.

The couple talked for another 20 minutes before they left the restaurant. Y/N walked Nayeon to her apartment and after that she went to her place.

"Ah Y/N you're home. How was your day? Did you eat already?" Tiffany asked as Y/N walked in.

"Oh yeah I already ate with Nayeon unnie."

"That's good." Tiffany smiled. Y/N isn't rude to her like she is to most people, but every time they have a conversation it's very awkward. Y/N hates it.

"Take this." Y/N said as she handed her guardian an envelope.

"What is this Y/N?" Tiffany looked at her in confusion. What is she giving her?

"Open it." With that the guardian opened the envelope. There was money in it.

"It's for letting me stay here. I'll give you some every month." The student informed.

"What? Y/N I don't want this. You don't need to pay me rent. I didn't become your guardian to make money from you. I became your guardian because I want to help you. I have enough money to take care of the both of us. Don't you ever give me money again. I'm not accepting this." Tiffany said as she handed the envelope back.

"Why would you want to take care of me? Why would you waste your money on me?" It really doesn't make sense to Y/N. Her old guardian always took money from her and never took care of her. Tiffany is young and pretty she could be doing anything she wants, yet she chooses to deal with an annoying teenager. Why?

"I already told you why."

"But I don't feel comfortable if I don't help. I'm used to paying rent all the time."

"Your ex-guardian took money from you?" Yuri told her about Y/N's old guardian, but she didn't know that the woman took money from the teenager.

"Yeah, all the time. That's why I always worked."

"Aish, I can't believe her. You're a student, you don't have to work so much. You need to focus on college and on your studies. I noticed that you work a lot. I'm not gonna tell you to stop working cause I know you'll feel uncomfortable asking money from me, but you should work less. You don't need to pay rent to me so focus on school more yeah?"

"I'm not going to college anyways so I don't mind working."

"You're not?" The older woman didn't expect to hear this.

"Nope. I'm just gonna get myself a full time job and work after I graduate."

"Hmm it seems like you've already made your future plans."

"Yes I have. So please do not try to change my mind like most people try to do, because I've already set my mind to it." Y/N warned. There's no need for Tiffany to try to convince her. It won't work.

"I won't. You're still young and you can go to college anytime you want. If you don't want it now, maybe you'll want it later. Or maybe you'll never want it, but that's your choice." Tiffany is literally the first person ever that didn't react like Y/N is throwing away her potential, which the teenager is very thankful for.
