Chapter 22

"What's up girls?" Y/N yelled as she joined her friends for lunch during their break.

"You seem happy, did something happen?" Mina asked smiling. They haven't seen Y/N act like this in a long time.

"Can't I be happy? I'm just in a good mood."

"Probably because of Ms. Im." Chaeyoung giggled.

"Yah, Chaeyoung-ah, I will kill you." Y/N glared at the younger.

"Are you guys free after school? Let's go to that cafe we always used to go to." Y/N suggested and all her friends looked at her with raised eyebrows.

"Am I hearing this right? Y/N unnie wants to hang out?" Tzuyu asked in confusion. It's been a long time since Y/N hung out with them, let along asked to hang out with them.

"We're probably dreaming." Momo acted like she was dreaming and Y/N sighed at the sight of her friends.

"I'm serious. I need to tell you guys something. It's important."

"Why don't you tell us now?" Dahyun asked.

"Because it's a long story and people might hear us here, so it's best that I tell you guys somewhere else. Are you guys up for it or nah?"

"I'm up." Mina spoke up first.

"Me too." Chaeyoung repeated and snuggled into Mina kissing her cheek.

"Yah! Not in front of my salad!" Momo yelled and all of them chuckled.

Y/N and her friends went to a nearby cafe after school. They were all curious about what Y/N was going to tell them and they couldn't wait. So when they sat down Y/N told them the story without losing any time. She told them about her parents, her guardian and about where she lives. Basically almost everything about her past.

"What the hell Y/N, why did you never tell us?" Mina asked. Mina is like the most mature one in the group. She's the one that keeps the group together and she can't believe that she never noticed all of this. All this time she just thought that Y/N was causing trouble so she never asked about it. It turns out her friend was really struggling.

"I don't know. I like to deal with my mess myself so I didn't want to bother you guys with my problems."

"Unnie, we're your friends. We're here for you no matter what. We won't judge you, we're here to help." Tzuyu said and Y/N has never heard nice words like this coming out form the younger's mouth.

"Exactly. Who cares if your father is a shitty man? It's not like you are shitty too, besides none of this is your fault. He's the one that caused all of this." Chaeyoung is really mad at that man for being the reason of Y/N's misery.

"Also how could they give you to a guardian like that? I can't believe she asked you to be a whore with her." Momo shook her head.

"Wait, you said you don't live in that neighbourhood anymore, so where do you live now?" Dahyun asked.

"Ms. Im found out about my situation and she took me in until I find a new place."

"Ms. Im knows???" They all yelled.

"Yah, be quiet! Yes, she knows."

"How could you tell her before us?" Chaeyoung pouted.

"I didn't tell her. She found out." Y/N sighed.

"I can't believe you live with a teacher now. That's so cool." Dahyun acted all excited.

"Yeah, because you also wanna live with a particular teacher." Tzuyu teased and Dahyun hit her arm.

"You shouldn't have gone to that neighbourhood in the first place. You should've told us, at least one of us. You know we wouldn't let you end up in the streets." Mina informed and they all nodded.

"Well, it's too late now. It already happened."

"Talking about Ms. Im, look who just walked in." Momo pointed with her eyebrows and they all turned to the door seeing Ms. Im, Ms. Minatozaki and Ms. Park walking in. Y/N didn't know that her girlfriend was going to be here and Nayeon also didn't know that Y/N was going to be here. They secretly glanced at each other before Y/N turned around again.

"Guys, you can't tell anyone that I live with Ms. Im. Got it? I'll kill you if I find out that one of you snitched." Y/N glared at all of them.

"Your secret's safe with us, Y/N. Don't worry about it." Mina patted the girl's shoulder and Y/N nodded.

"Why do you two keep looking at that table over there?" Jihyo asked Sana and Nayeon who kept looking at the table where Y/N and her friends were sitting.

"I just didn't expect students to be here." Sana answered.

"Why didn't Jeongyeon join us?" Nayeon asked to change the subject.

"She told me that she needs to handle a couple of things, not sure what." Jihyo answered.

"Are you two okay now?" Sana asked.

"I guess so. She doesn't really bother me anymore, and she apologized for what she did."

"I'm glad you two are okay, I was really worried that you two were going to cause trouble at school." Jihyo revealed.

"You know I'm not like that!" Nayeon protested.

"We were worried about Nayeon & Jeongyeon but ended up being worried about Y/N & Jeongyeon." Sana chuckled.

"Yeah, don't you guys think there's something wrong between those two? I mean we all know Y/N likes no teachers, but she kept asking me to change her class. She's never done that before." Jihyo explained as she looked at the student who was sitting at the other table.

"She did? Why?" Nayeon asked. She didn't know Y/N asked that. She made a mental note to ask her younger girlfriend about this when she gets home.

"I asked her the reason but she kept on saying that she just doesn't like Jeongyeon, which is bullshit obviously." Nayeon just looked down and Sana was staring at her. Of course Sana knows the reason why the two don't like each other, but Jihyo is very clueless.

"Yah! I told you to come with me!" The teachers suddenly heard a guy yelling. They all tried to look at what was happening, and saw that the guy was trying to pull a girl with him but the girl was rejecting.

"Leave me alone you jerk!" The girl tried to free herself but the guy suddenly pushed her and she fell. Nayeon immediately looked at Y/N. She knows things like these trigger Y/N. And before she even knew it she saw Y/N approaching the guy. Nayeon stood up immediately going after her student to prevent her from doing something wrong.

The girl that fell stood up and was about to walk away but the guy held her arm again and was about to hit her but Y/N stopped him.

"Touch her one more time and I'll kill you." Y/N threatened.

"Ah if it isn't Choi Y/N. I thought you and Minju were over, why are you still trying to save your ex-girlfriend huh?"

"It doesn't matter if she's my ex-girlfriend or not. You shouldn't hit girls like that, Jungkook." At this moment Nayeon arrived and saw that the girl who fell was Minju and the guy was Jungkook, a student of hers.

"And who are you to tell me that? Do you think I'm scared of a girl like you? You're all talk Y/N. Everyone at school knows how you've got a part time-job at a coffee shop. I thought you were rich, but I guess not. No wonder Minju left a loser like you." He smirked. Y/N got angry hearing this. She was about to hit the guy but Nayeon held her arm before she even lifted it. Everyone at the cafe was watching the scene happening in front of them. Sana and Jihyo didn't even notice how fast their friend left their table.

"Y/N don't. Calm down please." Like always Y/N immediately calmed down at seeing the sight of Ms. Im. It's like when Nayeon appears the voices in her head telling her to kill him stop.

"Ah Ms. Im is here to save the day." He chuckled.

"Should we go stop her?" Momo asked Mina and Mina shook her head.

"I think this is going to be interesting. Let's just see what happens."

"Shut up Jungkook, leave the girls alone." Ms. Im commanded.

"We're not on school territory, Ms. Im. So I can do whatever I want. And what is it with Ms. Im saving your ass all the time, Y/N? She saved you from getting expelled and whenever you're in a fight she always shows up. Perhaps more is going on than just a student-teacher relationship?" Everyone was shocked with the statement that he made. Y/N and Nayeon were both speechless. Everyone looked at them waiting for an answer.

"Ah Speechless, I see." He started laughing.

"Shut the fuck up." Y/N approached him again.

"Y/N, he's not worth it." Minju held her arm. Right at that moment the cafe owner came and asked Jungkook to leave. Jungkook wanted to protest but seeing Y/N's and Ms. Im's reaction was satisfying enough for him so he just left.

"Sana you know something don't you?" Jihyo asked the girl next to her, but Sana weakly shook her head.

"You're lying. I might not know as much as you but I'm not clueless either. I know the reason Y/N and Jeongyeon hate each other might be because of Nayeon unnie. And seeing Y/N and Nayeon's reaction on the statement he made is very fishy." Jihyo is slowly trying to figure out what's really happening. The way how Nayeon ran to stop Y/N before she even did anything, the way how Y/N suddenly calmed down when she saw her teacher and the way they both reacted at Jungkook's statement were all huge hints.

"It's best if you talk to unnie about this. I'm not really sure myself." Sana sighed.

"Y/N are you okay?" Minju asked and Y/N's friends helped Y/N sit down. She was beyond angry. She was boiling in anger.

"I need to go." With that the girl stood up and ran out of the cafe.

"Y/N!" Mina yelled but the girl ignored her.

"We should go after her, she might hurt someone." Chaeyoung suggested. So Chaeyoung, Mina and Tzuyu went after the girl while Momo and Dahyun stayed because they have English tutoring with Ms. Minatozaki in 10 minutes.

"Unnie, are you okay?" Sana and Jihyo approached Nayeon who was still speechless.

"Ah, yes, I'm okay."

"Ms. Im?" Nayeon turned around to see Minju.

"I'm really sorry, Ms. Im. Jungkook has been bothering me a lot lately, actually he's been bothering me since last year. He and Y/N have had multiple fights so if I knew she was here I wouldn't have caused a scene. I could've prevented all of this. I'm sorry for pulling you into this mess."

"It's okay Minju, you couldn't do anything about it." She really wants to hate Minju, but she's not gonna lie, the girl is very sweet. She can see why Y/N used to like her.

"Thank you Ms. Im." With that the student left.

"Girls, I have tutoring right now, so I need to go." With that Ms. Minatozaki left as well. Nayeon and Jihyo sat back down again. Nayeon noticed that Y/N and her friends were not in the cafe anymore. Jihyo kept staring at Ms. Im making her uncomfortable.

"What is it?"

"What's going on between you and Y/N?" Jihyo didn't even hesitate with asking.

"Nothing, she's just my student." Nayeon sighed.

"Are you sure? Then why do you seem so affected about what Jungkook said?"

"I was just taken back, I didn't expect him to say something like that."

"If there is something going on you can tell me, unnie. But just so you know student and teacher relatonships are against school policy. You could lose your job, so if there is something going on I suggest you to break it off now before it's too late." Jihyo suggested, Nayeon just nodded. Even if Jihyo is Nayeon's friend and wants to support her in everything she does, she can't support this since she's the school principal.
