Chapter 14

The next morning Nayeon woke up and suddenly remembered her kiss with Y/N. She liked it a lot. Butterflies were all in her stomach until she remembered that Y/N is her student. Nayeon would lose her job if anyone finds out about this, so she can't get any closer to Y/N than she already is. She knows she needs to keep her distance from the student, but it's so hard for her to keep her distance when she's really worried about Y/N.

"Aish, what am I going to do?" Nayeon asked herself. She knows the right thing to do is cut off any contact she has with Y/N but her heart won't let her do that.

Nayeon left her room silently thinking that Y/N is sleeping since it's Saturday, but to her surprise Y/N was already awake.

"Oh you're awake already."

"Yeah, I am. I'll leave now, you probably have things to do." Y/N was packing her stuff.

"Let's have breakfast and then you can go." Y/N nodded and they both went to the kitchen. Nayeon was preparing their breakfast while Y/N was just watching her.

"Here you go." Nayeon handed Y/N the plate and sat in front of her. They ate in silence and the mood was very awkward.

"Waah easy there. You look like you haven't eaten in weeks." Nayeon chuckled.

"I'm sorry, I'm just hungry." Y/N said with her mouth full.

"Yah, don't speak with your mouth full!" The teacher scolded her. "I'm guessing you don't eat that much right? You've lost weight."

"Since I'm low on money, I cut off on food." Y/N has been eating just ramyeon for weeks now.

"You shouldn't starve yourself like that." Silence overtook the room again after Nayeon scolded her student.

"Y/N about last night.." Nayeon started but Y/N interrupted her.

"It was an accident, we should forget about it and act like it never happened." Y/N looked down. She doesn't want to forget it but she knows she has to. Nayeon just nodded, agreeing to what the student said.

"Thank you for everything. I'll leave now. My friends are waiting for me." Y/N bid her goodbyes and made her way to her friends.

Y/N was hanging out with her friends at Chaeyoung's place. Chaeyoung's parents are out of town so the girls decided to spend the whole day there.

"Y/N what are you thinking about? You've been silent for the past hour right now." Momo noticed.

"She's probably thinking about girls." Tzuyu smirked.

"Why would I be thinking about girls??"

"Perhaps about Kim Minju?" Chaeyoung joined the teasing.

"Yeah, rumor is going around that you two are dating." Mina added.

"Aish, I'm not thinking about her. I already told you guys that I don't have a crush on her anymore. That was in the past." Y/N got annoyed.

"But she still has a crush on you. Why don't you give her a chance?" Dahyun asked and Y/N just shook her head.

"Your life is so boring, unnie. You need someone to spice it up." Tzuyu said and everyone agreed.

"No, I don't."

"But someone is obviously occupying your mind. If it isn't Kim Minju, then who is it?" Momo is curious like always.

"Maybe she's thinking about Ms. Im."    Y/N's eyes widened at what Mina said. How did she know? Mina is sharp when it comes to noticing things and she's noticed how close the two are and how they act around each other.

"From her reaction I can tell it's true. My girlfriend is good." Chaeyoung smiled and kissed Mina's cheek.

"Ugh, not in front of my salad." Tzuyu made a disgusted face.

"What's going on between you and Ms. Im, huh?" They're all very curious. Y/N wants to tell them about her feelings so that they can give her advice but she knows it's way too risky even though she trusts her friends.

"Nothing. What could go on between me and my English teacher?"

"We've all noticed your little crush on Ms. Im, Y/N. Stop denying." Chaeyoung hit her friend's shoulder.

"Since when did you guys become so comfortable with teasing me?" They never used to tease Y/N like this.

"Since you became less of a jerk." Tzuyu chuckled.

"And that's all thanks to Ms. Im. We should thank her." Dahyun added and everyone nodded. Y/N shot all of them glares and they finally stopped. Even though they're more comfortable around Y/N now, they're still scared of her. They know she gets angry easily.

Two weeks have passed and Y/N and Nayeon have basically been ignoring each other. Nayeon was still worried about Y/N though. But Y/N seemed to be doing fine whenever she saw her in class. The teacher also asked Mina about Y/N, and Mina told her that Y/N has a new job which lessened Nayeon's worries.

Y/N works at another coffee shop now. But this time she only makes the coffees while other employees deal with the customers, which is waaaay better for her since she despises customers.

Nayeon went to the teacher room after class and joined Sana and Jihyo who were busy talking about something.

"What are you guys talking about?" Nayeon interrupted.

"Should I tell her?" Jihyo asked Sana and Nayeon got confused. Tell her what?

"Yeah, you should tell her." Sana suggested.

"We found a new geography teacher." The geography teacher has been sick for a month now so Jihyo has been looking for someone to fill in his place until he comes back.

"Oh you did? Well that's good news."

"It won't be that good of a news for you though." Sana said and Jihyo glared at her.

"What do you mean? Who's the teacher?"

"It's..." Jihyo was about to answer her question but someone interrupted her.

"It's me." Nayeon turned around to see the person she wants to see the least right now.

"Jeongyeon?" Nayeon doesn't understand. What is Jeongyeon doing here? Sana and Jihyo locked eyes with each other. They know Nayeon isn't going to react well.

"What are you doing here?"

"She's the new geography teacher. She'll fill in for Mr. Kang until he's back." Jihyo answered.

"You must be joking. How do you expect me to work with her?" How can she work with her ex-girlfriend who seems to be not over the break-up yet?

"You won't see each other very often. Besides she's only here for like a month." Sana informed.

"I won't bother you, Nayeon-ssi. I'm just here because Jihyo asked me for a favor. I'm not here for you." Jeongyeon looked at her. Nayeon still can't forget what happened that night. How Jeongyeon was about to hurt her but Y/N stopped her.

The four of them all met in college and instantly became friends. Even though Nayeon and Jeongyeon are not on good terms now, Sana and Jihyo are still great friends with both of the girls.

"Unnie, I already warned Jeongyeon. She promised me that she'll behave so I'm asking you the same thing. Please don't cause any trouble. Both of you." Jihyo pleaded and Nayeon just nodded. She just hopes that Jeongyeon won't bother her.

"C'mon Jeongyeon, I'll show you around." With that Jeongyeon left with Jihyo leaving Sana and Nayeon behind.

"Aish, I can't believe she came here to teach." Nayeon expressed her frustration.

"It'll be okay, unnie. I don't think she'll bother you that much." Sana assured her.

"I'm not so sure about that. But anyways do you know which classes she's gonna teach?"

"I don't really know. I did hear that she's teaching tomorrow last period."

"Fuck, that's Y/N's class." Nayeon mumbled to herself but Sana heard it. Nayeon suddenly remembered Y/N's last encounter with Jeongyeon which didn't end very well. Y/N left with a lot of anger and Jeongyeon with a broken nose. It won't go well when the two see each other.

"Y/N's class? Jeongyeon won't be able to handle Y/N. They're both so stubborn and Y/N will definitely cause trouble since she's a new teacher." Sana shook her head.

"Yeah, that's what I'm worried about." Nayeon really hopes that they won't start a fight in class. So many things can go wrong with Jeongyeon teaching Y/N.
