Chapter 10

Nayeon just ended her class after the bell rang and all the students left the room except for one student.

"Are you okay seongsaengnim?" She asked her teacher.

"Yes, I am Y/N." Ever since what happened with Jeongyeon, Y/N has been very protective over Nayeon. She asks her if she's okay almost everyday.

"Did that ex-girlfriend of you bother you again? If she did you can tell me. I'll go break her neck right now."

"Y/N-ah, stop being so protective and violent. She hasn't bothered me ever since that night so don't worry about it. Even if she did, I can handle myself you know." Nayeon patted Y/N's shoulder and was surprised that Y/N has quite broad shoulders.

"I know you can, but if she does bother you let me know. I'll handle it for you." The teacher loves that Y/N is so protective over her. It makes her feel safe.

"I will Y/N-ie, I will. How did you do on todays test?"

"I'm pretty sure I aced it. I have a history test after lunch though, not sure how I'm gonna do on that one." Nayeon smiled knowing that the student does care about her grades.

"Well, did you study?"

"Nope, not at all. I barely study for any test." Y/N shook her head.

"How do you get good grades then? You don't study and you also never pay attention in class."

"I don't know, luck?"

"It's not luck Y/N, you're intelligent." This is the first time in her life that Y/N gets a compliment like that.

"Don't say that, I'm not." Nayeon is honestly tired of Y/N denying her intelligence and potential all the time. She wishes the student could see it as well.

"Anyways, I should go. My friends are waiting for me. Also let me know if that woman bothers you, okay?"

"Okay, okay Y/N. Go now." Nayeon pushed Y/N out of the room.

After about a minute Nayeon remembered that she needs to tell Y/N something so she went out of the room to look for her but she stopped when she saw Y/N talking to another student. She thinks her name is Minju? She doesn't teach her but it is known that she's one of the prettiest girls at school.

Nayeon has been seeing this Minju girl a lot around Y/N lately. It's obvious that the girl has a crush on the rude student. She saw Minju touching Y/N's arm and that made Nayeon mad. It's true that Nayeon is jealous. She hates seeing the two together. "Stop it, she's your student." Ms. Im said to herself.

"What are you looking at?" Sana interrupted Nayeon's thoughts and Nayeon got startled.

"N-n-nothing." Nayeon stuttered. Sana knows Nayeon was looking at Y/N. She knows something is going on between the two. The way the two look at each other isn't just a teacher-student relationship.

"Why do you care so much about Y/N?" Nayeon didn't expect to hear this question from Sana, neither did she know what to answer.

"What do you mean? She's my student, of course I care about her. I care about all my students."

"Why didn't you tell me that Y/N filled in for me when I was sick?" Shit. Nayeon didn't tell Sana that Y/N helped her out when she was sick. She just said that she taught the kids by herself, but Sana found out that Y/N helped her from one of the parents.

"I-I didn't want you to think anything wrong, I just needed some help and you know Y/N is fluent in English."

"I would be careful if I were you, Nayeon unnie. Don't you think you're getting too close to her? I know you want to help her and all, but others might think you have different intentions."

"What are you talking about Sana? She's my student I have no other intention but helping her. Don't you dare think otherwise." Nayeon warned Sana. Why is Sana suddenly being like this?

"I'm just saying, unnie. Y/N is dangerous, be careful around her. She can get you in trouble before you even know it." Nayeon hates the way she's talking about Y/N. Yes, she knows there's much more to find out about Y/N, she is a student full of secrets but it annoys her that everyone thinks she's a bad person. She's not. Nayeon is sure about that.

"Whatever. I have work to do, I'll see you later."

Nayeon left the school at 8pm. She graded the assignments at school and just went home whenever she was done with them. She decided to stop by the coffee shop where Y/N works at. Ever since Nayeon found out that Y/N works there she would go occasionally for a drink. But since it's 8pm now and also a school night she didn't expect Y/N to be there but she really wanted a drink so she went anyways.

She walked into the coffee shop and there she saw Y/N working. Why is it that every time Nayeon comes here, she's working?

"Oh, seongsaengnim, what are you doing here?" Y/N got startled when she saw Ms. Im in front of her.

"Are you still working? I didn't expect you to be working this late since it's a school night."

"Yeah, I work until 9."

"Yah, stop talking and get her order!" A customer who was in line behind Nayeon yelled.

"Shut up don't you see I'm on it?" Y/N has been annoyed all day. This guy is probably the fifth rude customer today.

"Is that how you talk to your customers? Customer is the king, haven't you heard about that saying?"

"No, I haven't. Now shut the fuck up so I can do my job."

"Aish, why do they let a useless shit like this work here?" The guy mumbled but Y/N heard it. She left the counter and walked towards him.

"What did you say?" She clearly heard him, but she wanted him to repeat himself.

"I said you're a useless shit." The guy walked closer to Y/N as well, challenging her. Y/N got angry and was about to push the guy but Nayeon stood in front of her.

"Y/N don't. Think about your job." She whispered and Y/N left the guy and went back behind the counter. Y/N made Nayeon and the guy's drinks in silence and handed them both their drinks.

"I'm never coming here again." The guy said before leaving the shop.

"Then don't, you asshole."

"Y/N stop it, do you wanna lose your job? What if he tells your boss?"

"Aish, I'm so fucking annoyed right now. I'm going to lose my mind." Y/N said sitting on a chair at a table. She is the only employee at the store right now. She's the one that needs to close the shop at 9pm. There are no other customers inside except for Nayeon, so she just sat down.

"You shouldn't be working late on a school night like this." Nayeon said sitting on a chair next to Y/N's.

"I have no choice. I need the money. I've been dealing with these annoying customers for years now, but it's like they all decided to come by today and annoy the shit out of me." Y/N held her head out of frustration. Nayeon noticed how Y/N gets angry very easily. The girl has anger issues. Even though Y/N hides many things about herself, the fact that she has anger issues is not something she can hide. The teacher is worried that this anger of hers will get out of hand one day and that she will hurt herself or someone else.

"Calm down Y/N." Nayeon held Y/N's hands, it's something that works every time to calm Y/N down. She calms down immediately from Nayeon's touch.

"How about you close the shop and I drive you home?" Nayeon suggested. Well, it wasn't really a suggestion, she's going to drive Y/N home no matter what she says.

"You don't need to, I can go myself."

"You know that I'm not letting you go by yourself late at night, so instead of arguing stand up and close the shop you asshole." Nayeon hit Y/N's shoulder while smiling.

"Seongsaengnim that's not a very nice thing of you to say to me." Y/N acted like she was hurt, but she actually likes it when Ms. Im teases her like that.

Y/N closed the shop and Nayeon drove the student home. Nayeon stopped the car in front of Y/N's so called house and she looked at the student.

"Make sure to rest well. You look exhausted. Don't overwork yourself that much." Nayeon advised.

"I'm trying seongsaengnim and you make sure you get home safe, yeah? Also call me if that shitty ex-girlfriend of yours bothers you again."

"You don't have to tell me that everyday." Y/N smirked, she knows she's annoying her by telling her the same thing everyday.

"And make that smirk disappear you know that I hate seeing it."

"Okay, okay. I won't annoy you anymore. You actually look scary when you're mad." Y/N acted scared.

"Says the one who gets in fights all the time, huh?" Nayeon chuckled.

"It's because people keep challenging me. I never start a fight without a reason. I've already told you I'm not a bully."

"I know you're not Y/N-ie, but you should try to lessen your anger. I don't want you to get into trouble." The teacher admitted and Y/N looked at her.

"I don't know what to do to lessen my anger." Y/N admitted, well she actually never really tried to lessen her anger.

"Let me help you with that. I can only help if you let me." To Nayeon's surprise Y/N just nodded.

"I should get going now."

"See you tomorrow Y/N." Nayeon kissed Y/N's cheek and Y/N looked at her in annoyance.

"Ms. Im, stop doing that. Stop being so nice to me. You're making me feel things that I shouldn't feel for a teacher." Nayeon was surprised. Did Y/N lowkey confess her feelings for the teacher? What feelings is she talking about?

"I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do that." It's a lie. Nayeon did it, because she wanted to do it.

"Just don't do it anymore. We should keep our distance." Y/N said and with that she left the car.
