Senna's POV
"SHIITAKE!"
"What?" I ask crudely, annoyed at being woken up.
"They're all over Twitter, Sen."
I roll onto my right and look over at Jax who is laying on his back beside me, one arm folded under his head, the other scrolling through his phone. Judging by the look on his face I'm guessing whatever he is talking about isn't good.
"J, I just woke up. You're gonna have to spell it out for me."
He raises his brows, pouts his lips and moves his phone closer to my face so it is all but resting it on my nose. "THIS!"
I prop myself up on my elbow. "I'm not blind, Jax," I say moving his hand back so his phone is a decent distance from my face. Focusing on the screen I see the number one trending hashtag #SaxIsBack. Scrolling through I see numerous paparazzi photos of us at dinner last night, with dozens of comments about Jax wearing my clothes and how this is confirmation that we're in a relationship. I roll onto my back, and let out a huff.
"These pics make me look like your bitch. Like you've dressed me up to show me off to your family." Jax groans, snatching his phone out of my hand.
I let out a laugh. "If we were together you totally would be my bitch."
"Would not! I'd have YOU wrapped around MY finger," he states sure of himself, a twinkle flashes in his blue eyes.
"What makes you say that?"
He pushes the doona off and sits up making the mattress dip in the middle where it bears the weight of his small frame. "Dude, have you seen how you are with Harri? You're relationship whipped!"
I can't help but let out another laugh. "Maybe, but that's because it's Harri. You wish you were in her league." I tease knowing I was going to get him worked up.
He sassily flicks his wrist in the air as if dismissing me, "Pfft. Whatever. I'm not in anyone's league. I've got my own dang league!"
"Whatever you say. You're my bitch and you know it," I joke blowing a kiss in his direction.
His hair is messy, evidence of the good night's sleep we had. He does his best to flatten to out with his hand, sweeping it back across his forehead. "Am not," he replies without further justifying his point.
"Well you are at this current point in time sitting shirtless in my bed talking about being my bitch," I add with a wiggle of my brow.
"Good point!" he sighs. "If they thought me wearing your clothes was evidence of Sax I wonder what they'd think of this?" he laughs, pointing his finger between the two of us.
"Even I have to admit this looks suspicious," I chuckle, before my mind takes me back to the same thing that has been keeping it busy for weeks. "We should go to the warehouse today. I do my best thinking in the ball pit."
"Thinking? We're on holiday's what is there to think about?"
"Harri. And how, or if, I'm gonna tell her."
His jaw tenses, "Oh that."
"Yes that, Jax."
We say nothing for a moment or two before Jax breaks the silence with a sigh. "Want to me to call the twins and Beckett and see if they're up for a group brainstorm? I mean they already know about Harri. Maybe not that you're already practically married with two kids and a two-story double brick townhouse complete with an approved white picket fence, but still, they know about her and the situation..." he rambles without so much as stopping to take a breath.
"What the french fry are you on about? We literally just started dating," I reply confused.
"Calm your farm Sen. I was just joking. All I meant is that you moved fast with this girl."
"Not that fast," I mumble thinking back to the weeks of text messages and facetime calls that led up to her becoming my girlfriend.
Lost in thought I look away from him towards my race car curtains. The light behind them tells me that sun is up which means that Harri must be already getting for school. I reach over and grab my phone from my bedside table to message her and wish her good morning when Jax pulls on my arm, forcing me to look back at him. "Seriously dude, I was joking. Truth be told I think it's kinda cute."
"Of course you do, and that's why you'll always be my bitch!" I laugh flashing him the biggest double dimple smile that I can muster.
"You're probably right, Sen. I am your bitch. God knows I can't take care of myself without your help," he admits sheepishly.
"Then again I wouldn't know what to do without you either," I say hopefully reassuring him that despite having a girlfriend I will still need him around. Not like his mother who is incapable of maintaining more than one relationship at a time and has a habit of casting her kids to the side whenever she starts seeing someone.
"Awww look at us having a moment," he chuckles, ruining said moment in typical Jax style. "Anyway, want me to call Beckett and the Twins?"
I think about it for a moment. "I guess so. If that's what you want? I mean whatever I do will affect you, and Jaâ"
"The love of my life?" he offers cutting me off mid-sentence.
I correct him, "the love of your life... this week."
"Something like that," he says coyly.
We jump in Jax's car and I drive us to the warehouse. When we bought the place we put it under Jax's uncle's name so that it couldn't be traced back to us and so far it had been our little secret. Truth be told we wouldn't have even told Zander if we didn't need to. It was nice to have somewhere as a band that was ours and free from judgement, parents and the outside world.
I turn on the lights and make my way inside. "Twins will be here in ten and Beckett in around an hour. He said something about his Mum forcing him to bake bread with her," Jax calls out from behind me.
"Seriously I don't know how he puts up with her," I mutter more to myself than to Jax.
"Yeah well, at least his mother cares..." he says with a shrug of his shoulders.
I fall back so that we are walking side by side. "Your's does too Jax, she is just confused right now."
He doesn't answer instead runs ahead of me to jump head first into the ball pit. He comes up for air and throws his hands in the air. "I win!"
Typical Jax deflection I think to myself as I jump in after him.
Sometime between jumping in the ball pit and the twins arriving we decided to send the girls a nice surprise, to thank them for Saturday night. "It's not cheesy, right?" I clarify.
"Heck yeah, its cheesy, but girls love this shiitake Sen. Trust me." The word shiitake rolls off his tongue as it has already become part of his everyday vocabulary.
"So we take a break from the tour for a week and you two decide to shack up with each other?" Luca says as the twins walk in, not even attempting dance around the Sax issue lightly.
Rafa looks at us with cheeky suspicion, "don't forget that they've been sharing each other's clothes too."
"SHUT UP! You two share clothes all the time," Jax exclaims throwing a ball from the pit at the boys, which ultimately misses. We all watch it silently as it rolls past them into the darkness of the studio that we've yet to use.
"Ah yeah? Of course we do, we're twins! We shared a womb, we can sure as heck share clothes," Luca counters.
"Yeah well we might not have shared a womb but that doesn't mean Senna and I are not brothers," Jax says earnestly. The sweetness of what was meant to be a casual remark catches me a little off guard, causing me to blush. I look down, trying hide under my curls and hope that the boys don't notice the reddening of my cheeks .
"Anyway we've always shared clothes, I don't see what the big deal is now," he sighs. He only visibly relaxes when he sees Luca and Rafa look each other and burst into laughter. "You're just teasing me aren't you?" he asks embarrassed at getting worked up at their questioning.
"I don't really need to answer that, do I?" Luca asks as he dives under the balls attempting to do a handstand in the pit which is a little over 7ft deep. His feet and the word 'VANS' across the ankle band of his socks are the only thing visible once he ducks his head under.
"I guess not. Now stop playing games and help us. We have a serious dilemma here!" Jax demands pulling at Luca's feet playfully, his face void of any of the emotion is displayed a few moments back.
Luca pops his head up and mutters something about losing his beanie in the balls, which earns him a slap across the head from Luca who tells him he really should know better since the ball pit a place that is notorious within the band for taking things that are never to be seen again. Something which Rafa knows all too well after he lost one of his limited edition shoes in here not long after we bought the place. He is also doubly annoyed since as it turns out the beanie Luca lost was Rafa's.
"I guess those are the risks you take when you share clothes," I joke which earns me a small chuckle from Jax and a playful scowl from the twins.
"Just hurry up and spill the tea, Senna!" They instruct, in unison.
We spend the next twenty minutes telling the boys about the fundraiser. Jax deliberately leaves out the part about his stepdads impending return and they're none the wiser. I guess they chalk Jax's gate-crashing up to him being extra as they don't even question his motives.
"So she's your girlfriend and she has no idea who you really are?" Luca asks, trying hard to stifle a laugh.
I shrug. "Yeah... well she knows me, just not the specifics of my job."
"Or what you look like?" Rafa adds, not even attempting to hide his smile.
"Exactly. So what do you suggest I do?"
Luca stands and pats his stomach, "I'm gonna need to think about this over lunch."
Of course, he is. I swear these two never stop eating.
We consider ordering food for delivery but don't want to risk someone seeing us and our secret hiding place being found so instead place our lunch order with Beckett since he is already on his way having made a temporary escape from his mother's relentless clutches.
We decide to eat under the Eifel Tower on hole number 4 of the golf course since it has been a while since we've been to Paris and as we chow down on the fried chicken, and fill Beckett in, we start our brainstorming session.
-----
Hey guys,
I am so sorry it was a little over a week between updates. I had a bit of a tough one mentally and it's taken me a little time to get back in the grove of things. But I'm back (from outta space! -cue Gloria Gaynor I will survive ð).
How are you all?
I hope you liked all the Sax moments in this chapter? I promise it is leading somewhere it wasn't just a filler chapter.
I'm pretty keen to write the next chapter so I don't think you'll have to wait too long to see it. Anyways I'm back from my holiday so back in routine which means more regular posting. Woo Hoo!
And if I am reading your stories, I am doing to my best catch up on everything I've missed the last 3 weeks or so but want to make sure I am reading them all properly and taking everything in so it is taking a little while.
Pease, love and unicorns.
