I'm never drinking again

Senna's POV

"I'm never drinking again," I mumble as I stagger out of bed. My voice hoarse and my mouth as dry as a desert begging for rain.

I stumble into the back lounge and curl into a ball on the couch next to Jax. I pull the throw rug off the arm of the couch and wrap it around myself and place my head on his shoulder. "Fix me, Jax." I pled.

"Ah, lad. It's nothing some painkillers, sleep and a little water won't fix," he answers patting my head softly.

I groan in response.

The twins who are already up and sitting with Jax on the lounge just look at me and laugh at my situation. I don't have the energy to tell them to stop.

"Asshats," I curse under my breath. I feel Jax's jaw move as it raises into a smile.

"You went pretty hard last night, Sen," Luca points out.

I rub the sleep from my eyes. "Yeah, I don't know what happened."

Rafa smiles. "Seems there is a lot we don't know about you...."

My head hurts too much to ask him what he is talking about so I do nothing but snuggle in closer to Jax.

A moment later the door to the back lounge opens and Beckett stumbles in joining the four of us. For once his golden hair is not so perfect combed, instead it is standing up on one side like a lop-sided peacock. "I'm never drinking again," he cries as he takes a seat on my other side.

"I'm with you, Beckett," I whine while opening up the blanket, silently inviting him under. Which he accepts by scooting closer to me.

"And I'm never playing THAT game again," Beckett states, wincing as if speaking is hurting his head.

"I don't even remember what happened..." I sigh.

Luca smirks, "well it's a good thing the paps were around and got pictures to remind you."

My eyes widen. "Oh shiitake, what did I do?"

"Calm down, Sen," Jax replies. "He's just teasing you. I mean they're are pics but only of you pouncing on me and trying to rip my clothes off as we went up the stairs," he laughs hysterically.

I lift my head from his shoulder. "I did not. I tripped on Brandi's dress."

"Sure sure. I know the truth and now so do the public," he chuckles again, showing me his phone with the tabloid news articles with the words Team Sax, splashed across photos of our fall. I admit it from their angles it doesn't look good. Zander will not be happy.

I drop my head into my hands. "Oh god!"

"Did I do anything else?" I ask cautiously lifting my head from my hands.

Rafa smirks, "just a bit a bit drunk texting."

Not good. Really not good. "Who was I texting? Did you at least try and stop me?" I ask the group.

"Yes, Sen. I told you I've got your back. Although you might have been more grateful when I took your phone. I thought you were going to take a swing at me for a minute there," Jax answers.

I try and read him to see if he's is joking but he just has that stupid resting smug face he always has on. "Please tell me I didn't do say anything stupid?"

He runs his hands through his hair. "Nah, I think I got to you in time, but I didn't go through your phone so I don't know what you got up to before I caught you."

"Oh good." I say as I settle back into his shoulder.

"Although you were slurring something about having a crush on someone by the name of Harri..." Rafa adds.

I tense back up. Oh, crap. What did I say?

"Who is Harri?" Beckett asks, suddenly interested in the conversation.

"Uhhh..." I mumble trying to stall the interrogation. I think I might just vomit. Come to think of it that might be an effective distraction.

"Yeah, who is he?" Luca queriers, his face clear of any judgement.

"She," I mutter, swallowing any plans I had to vomit.

Beckett splutters, "she? And her parents called her Harri?"

"Harriet, actually." Jax confirms.

Both Rafa and Luca's brows rise, "soooo who is SHE?"

I take a deep breath and tell them about Harri. I stumble over parts only giving them the basics. I wonder if I should tell them about my "fake account," in the end deciding that these are my best friends and I should be honest with them. When I finish I take a deep breath and tense up waiting for the laughter.

It doesn't come.

"Wow!" the twins chime in surprise.

"Welcome to the girlfriend life," Beckett says holding his hand up for a fist bump. I leave him hanging.

"She's not my girlfriend. She's..... she's....God, I don't know what she is. Depending on what my phone looks like she might not even be talking to me." I say as if realizing for the first time that I have no idea what I said to her in my stupidly drunken state.

"Your phone is on charge on the shelf in my bunk," Jax says predicting my next question.

"Aww, Jax. Looking at you looking after drunk Senna. Making sure he got home safe, stopping his drunk texting and charging his phone," Luca teases.

"Yeah, well god knows he has done it more than enough times for me," he replies, dismissing the fact that he looked after me like it was nothing.

As I stand to get my phone I hear Beckett ask where the girls are. Luca explains that they caught an early flight home. There is a sadness in his voice that I know all too well, it's the sadness that comes along with being away from your family.

I leave the back lounge and skull a few glasses of water before unplugging my phone from the charger in Jax's bunk. I drag my hungover ass up to my bunk and stare at my phone. There are countless emails, messages and missed calls but there is only one I want to read. I take a deep breath and open the message from Harri.

"Hey, SJ. Are you ok? I'm worried something's happened to you."

I read the message again. Why is she worried? What did I do? I take another deep breath and scroll all the way to the top of last nights message.

I look at my spelling. Oh, gosh I was drunk. What am I even on about, I think as I read through the exchange. As embarrassing as it is I start to think that maybe I have gotten away without saying anything too stupid and then I see it, my message...

"I lik yu."

Oh crap. Oh crap. I'm an idiot. I start to panic. Not like fully panic but panic like when you're in the shower and you hear the ice cream truck.

I scroll down a little further.

Im pretty sure I stop breathing when I see her reply.

"I like you too, SJ."

I let my head crash back on to pillow. A smile spills across my face. In that moment my head ache is gone and I feel on top of the world.

"Sen, everything ok?"

I hang my head over the edge of my bunk and see Jax standing there, hands buried deep in the pockets of his hoodie.

"Couldn't be better, Jax." The ridiculous smile still plastered across my face.

He smirks, "that good, huh?"

I hand my phone to him and show him the messages. "Well, are you going to reply to the poor girl?" he questions handing me back my phone, with a smile.

"Oh shittake, I almost forgot."

Jax, raps his knuckles twice on my bed frame and turns to leave.

"Hey Jax," I call out to him.

He stops. "Yeah, Sen."

"Thanks for taking care of me," I say, really meaning it.

He smiles. The way his eyes turn up in the corner tells me it's sincere. "No problem. We're brothers Senna, and brothers have each other's backs."

"Always," I reply as he walks away.

I sit on my bed for a few more minutes thinking about what to do next. Do I text her, call her or FaceTime her? It would be easy just to text but I really want to see her face so decide to grow a pair and Facetime. She answers before it even rings on my end.

"Oh my god, you're ok. I was so worried about you!" She practically screams down the phone. I see the panic in her face.

"Yeah sorry about that," I answer, rubbing the back of my neck sheepishly.

I watch as she flinches. "Wait, you are ok, aren't you?"

"Yeah. A little hungover but better now I've seen you." I answer flirting shamelessly.

Her cheeks flush an adorable shade of pink. "Well, you look terrible," she says with a snort.

I clutch at my chest. "Ouch!"

She tucks her hair nervously behind her ear, "I'm just joking I wouldn't know how you look. I can't see you!"

"It's for your own safety I swear." I double check to make sure the tape is still firmly in place over my lens.

"Are you ever going to get it fixed?" she asks.

"Some day."

She smirks. "Soooo...."

"Sooo..." I mimic.

She laughs out loud and then covers her mouth as if embarrassed. "I'm sorry," I add solemnly.

Her brows cross in in confusion. "Sorry?"

"For last night. I was drunk and..." I trail off trying to find the right words.

"Oh," she whispers looking down averting her grey eyes from my view.

"Gah, I'm such an idiot. I... I didn't mean that the way it sounded," I stutter realising what I've said.

She raises her eyes, and waits for me to continue. I'm really not great at this. I take a deep breath, "what I meant is. I'm sorry for drunk texting you. Not for what I said....."

She bites the inside of her lip.

"I meant what I said, Harri. I like you." I continue.

A smile forms on her lips as she looks away from the screen. "I like you too, SJ." Her cheeks once again glowing red.
