Chapter 2216 A Desperate Battle!
Libby?!
No one expected Libby to be the first to lunge toward Quintus.
In fact, fearing she wouldn't make it in time, she dove forward at the last moment, throwing herself sideways to
shield Quintus from the incoming strike-no hesitation, no reservation.
But Aora didnât stop. He was determined to kill Quintus and avenge his fallen brother.
At that moment, tseemingly froze.
Quintusâ emotions surged-he wanted to shout, to scream-but his voice refused to cout. There wasnât even
tto try.
âDie!â Aoraâs palm struck right on target-slamming into Libby's arm.
Crack!
The crisp sound of breaking bones echoed in the air.
Her small body crashed into Quintus, sending both of them flying several yards before hitting the ground
hard.
âLibby!â
âLibby!â
Aurora and the others finally found their voices, their shouts of shock ringing through the battlefield.
Solana, overcoming her fear at last, roared in fury and spewed fire toward Aora, who leaped into the air, narrowly
dodging the raging flames.
With him momentarily off Quintus and Libby, the Wolf Warrior Unit seized the chance to unleash a barrage of
gunfire, forcing Aora into a defensive retreat, at least for now.
âHey, troublemaker! Wake up!â Quintus, still conscious despite the brutal impact, gritted his teeth and gently
patted Libby's pale face.
Her eyelids fluttered. Her face was ghostly white, save for an unnatural flush of red, the pain she was enduring
written all over her features.
âHey! Wake up!â Quintus patted her again, his voice growing more anxious, his panic evident. Sure, she was a
pain in the ass, but he didnât want her to die.
âM-Mr. Quintus...â
After what felt like forever, Libby finally managed to crack open her eyes. A weak smile struggled onto her lips.
âI... I'm not a coward... or dead weight... right?â
Her smile struck something deep within Quintus-like a beam of light piercing straight through his chest. He
trembled, feeling something inside him shift.
She had shaken him.

âHeh... You've earned my respectâ

It took him a moment to suppress the stinging sensation in his eyes before forcing a grin. âBut if you die, you're
still just a weakling. And I donât like weaklings.â
Libby smiled, too.
That smile drained the last ounce of strength she had left. She could no longer speak, but deep down, she swore
to herself, I have to survive. I have to prove to Mr Quintus that I'm not weak!
âHey, hey! Troublemaker! Wake up!â Quintus called out to her again before carefully lifting her in his arms, intent
on getting her to safety.
But Aora hadn't left. Seeing Quintus rise to his feet, Aoraâs face twisted into a demonic snarl, âQuintus! I'm going
to tear you apart, limb by limb!â
SA! Solanaâs instincts screamed at her-without thinking about the danger, she charged toward Aora from behind.
But she wasnât fast enough.
âScrew this! We're taking you down with us!â
At that moment, Ironskull and Ostrich also threw caution to the wind, launching a direct attack on Aora.
They went all out. But even with their full strength, Aora barely seemed to register their presence. With a casual
swing of each arm, he sent both of them flying in opposite directions.
To call it terrifying would be an understatement. They could feel the sheer, unrelenting power radiating from
Aora, and they couldn't help wondering how the hell Quintus had survived multiple full-force attacks from this
monster.
Boom! Boom!
The two warriors hit the ground hard, coughing up blood.
âProtect General Quintus!â
âKill him!â
In this moment of crisis, the unity of the Dark Night Alliance shone through.
Even knowing they were throwing themselves into a hopeless battle, the warriors of the Dark Night Islands
showed no fear. They charged Aora in waves, determined to take this demon down through sheer numbers.
Quintus, struggling, finally managed to lay Libby down gently. Clenching his teeth, he growled, âNone of you can
stop him! Let me-"
Splurt!
Before he could finish, a mouthful of blood burst from his lips.
âMr. Quintus, stop pushing yourself!â Aurora rushed over, grabbing his arm to steady him.
Anyone with eyes could see that Quintus was at his limit. If he rushed in now, it would be suicide.
âLet go of me! I'm not backing down-cough, cough!â

He shoved Aurora aside, but his body betrayed him. His leg buckled, and he dropped to one knee.
âD*mn it... How could I lose to him?! Impossible!â
Frustration boiled inside him.

How did Aora grow this powerful in such a short time? If his rage over his fallen brother pushed him to this level,
shouldn't I be able to do the same?!
But no matter how furious he was, he couldn't tap into the kind of monstrous strength Aora had gained.
But that was only natural.
Aurora knelt beside him, lowering her voice. âAora must have practiced skind of forbidden technique. He's
completely different from before... he might even be on the verge of losing control. But... I canât say for sure.â
The realization hit Quintus like a ton of bricks. His gaze snapped toward Aora, who was still effortlessly tearing
through the warriors surrounding him.
Whether heâs losing control or not, one thing's for sure-his power is on another level. No one here can stop him.
And if this continues, the Wolf Warrior Unit will be wiped out!
As Solana collapsed from her wounds, a feeling of despair flickered in everyone's eyes.
Just then, a rocket shot toward Aora.
His eyes widened in shock, and he quickly dove behind the remains of a wall for cover.
Whoosh-BOOM!
The explosion sent debris flying in every direction.
Everyone instinctively followed the trajectory of the shot-and there she was.
Eve.
She strode forward, rocket launcher still on her shoulder, radiating pure dominance.
âCaptain Eve! Thank God you're here!â Aurora let out a breath she hadn't realized she was holding.
With firepower like this, surely Aora would be defeated now, right? But before Eve could even respond, the
crumbling wall suddenly erupted outward. A burst of force sent shards of stone flying at them like deadly
projectiles.
Eve barely managed to step back in time, shielding herself.
âHahaha... I'm going to kill every last one of you!â Aora laughed maniacally. âI am Mr. Tanner's ace!â
Though he looked a little battered, it was clear-the missile hadn't really harmed him.
Despair settled over the battlefield.
Seeing their comrades wounded and fallen all around them, Aurora and Eve couldn't hide the despair in their
eyes.

Chapter 2216 A Desperate Battle!
âD*mn it!â
Only Quintus, who had never learned the meaning of despair, forced himself up.
A true warrior could die in battle-but never from fear.
âHeh... good!â Aora sneered, his expression twisted with bloodlust. âLettear you apart first!â

As he charged, Aurora prepared herself to step forward. If they were going to die, they'd die together.
But just then, a silver flash streaked through the air, making Aora jump in surprise, for he knew the silver light all
too well.
Before, he wouldn't have even had the ability to dodge it. But now, with the power of the Dragonâs Reversal
Essence, he barely managed to evade. Even so, a cold sweat broke out on his back.
A split second later, Santiago descended from the sky like a storm. He struck out three times in quick
succession-each attack strange and unpredictable.
Aora, empowered by the Dragon's Reversal Essence, managed to block them all. But he didnât dare to fight.
Gritting his teeth, he grabbed Azure's unconscious body and fled without a second thought.
Santiago watched him go but didnât pursue. Instead, his eyes darkened with thought. That technique... Why has
it resurfaced? This is bad!
âSir, thank God you arrived in time!â Auroraâs voice trembled with relief as she ran up, her eyes glistening with
unshed tears. âWe would've been finished without you!â
Quintus, despite everything, managed a grin-but his words were sharp as ever. âYou really like meddling in other
peopleâs fights, old man. I was just about to finish him off! And now you let him get away!â
