Chapter 1137 A Decision Supported By The Quillen Family

“A ce moment, as decideurs of the company, we must introduce groundbreaking new products to

initiate a new round of financing, rapidly expand the market, further grow the group, and elevate it to a

new niveau…” Lara rambled.

For some reason, listening to her talk non-stop in a mix of Chanaean and foreign language, Emmanuel

felt a natural aversion. He also wondered if she had a hidden agenda for proposing the Quillen family to

bring out the Heart of the Sun for commercial use.

At first, Mackenzie patiently listened, but towards the end, she turned directly to Terence and asked,

“Grandpa, what is your opinion?”

In reality, after retrieving the Heart of the Sun, Mackenzie had secretly established a development

department. All equipment and technology were in place, waiting for her command to officially start the

research and development trials. She hadn’t informed the family about it; she had only discussed it with

Terence a few nights ago.

Regarding Lara’s theoretical proposal, which lacked any practical business experience, Mackenzie

merely listened and would only consider her grandfather’s opinion on what decisions to make.

“Haha, didn’t I tell you the other night, Mackenzie? I’m getting too old for this and don’t want to concern

myself with it anymore. From now on, the affairs of the Quillen family and Terence Group will be

handed over to you and Emmanuel to handle!” Terence had decided to be a hands-off patriarch.

Behind him, Marilyn had been massaging his shoulders and dared not speak.

Mackenzie suddenly felt a heavy burden. Although she had been in charge of the Terence Group

before, her grandfather always acted as a protective shield. Now, with it gone, the invisible pressure

increased several times instantly.

“Let’s see, Mackenzie! This decision is made after everyone’s discussion. You should respect and obey

our decision!” Lara continued to pressure Mackenzie, who only continued to ignore her, and turned to

Samantha and Felicity, asking, “What are your opinions?”

Samantha immediately said, “I think Lara is right. It’s time for the Quillen family to grow and strengthen

further!”

She held a 6% stake in the Terence Group, and being an elder respected by Mackenzie, her words

carried significant weight.

Mackenzie then turned to Felicity, who, although didn’t hold any shares, she always considered it to be

Tony’s legacy. Felicity was the first successor and had also dedicated 20 years to the Heart of the Sun.

So, Mackenzie had to consider her opinion.

“I don’t want to influence your decision. You can ignore me.” Felicity neither approved nor disapproved.

With this, there was not a single dissenting voice among the Quillen family.

Driven by Lara’s persuasive speech, everyone focused on the benefits and failed to see the risks,

completely disregarding Tony’s advice from his lifetime even more so.

“Alright, I will consider putting the Heart of the Sun into commercial development and strive for the

maximum benefit for the group!” Mackenzie said.

She had been hesitant about this matter before, but now that the entire family supported it, she had no

reason to oppose it. Moreover, holding the Heart of the Sun and the Energy Diagram of Nine Palace in

her hands, not putting them into the market would render them useless. As an entrepreneur, the most

foolish thing to do was not to utilize the resources at hand, even if there were significant risks.

“Magnificent! I knew Mackenzie would follow my advice! This is definitely an excellent choice!” Lara

said proudly, showing enthusiasm as if guiding the destiny of a nation.

Emmanuel and Beatrix were both extremely repulsed. They believed that when this matter brought

immense benefits to the Quillen family and the Terence Group, this woman would undoubtedly think it

was her achievement, but if something went wrong, she could easily shift the blame to issues with the

details and absolve herself of responsibility.

Beatrix was about to speak up for Mackenzie when the latter said, “Lara, I am not following your

advice. If it were just your proposal, I would have refused without hesitation. However, since it’s a

decision supported by the Quillen family, I don’t want to oppose it.”

“Huh?” Lara was momentarily stunned, abruptly stopping her enthusiastic gestures.

“Hehe, what a big ego you have, Lara!”
