"So Alex and Shy, is it official now?" My dad asked.

"Yes", my sister answered.

I felt like someone was staring at me so when I lifted up my gaze, my eyes instantly locked with Jax's dark eyes.

"And Jax?" My dad called Jax and we broke eye contact.

"Yes, sir?" Jax asked.

"So, I found out that you kissed my daughter", my dad said.

"He did?" Samuel Harrington said.

"Yes, I did", Jax said.

"Oh god", I said quietly and drank water from my glass.

"And why did you kiss my daughter?" My dad laced his fingers together and propped his elbows on the table, staring at Jax.

"Because I like her, sir", Jax answered calmly.

I chocked from the water I was drinking and I was coughing. "Sis, are you okay?" Aaron asked while rubbing his hand on my back.

"Yeah", I answered and calm myself.

Samuel Harrington and Diego Parker were smiling wide and I don't know why, but I feel like something is going on in their head and it scares me.

"Oh my, my boy likes someone", Avella Harrington, Jax's mom, squealed.

Jax looked at me and I looked back at him with confusion. "Okay, son, do you have a plan to court EA?" Samuel asked Jax.

"Yes, if she would let me", Jax answered.

He didn't even deny that he likes me!

Everyone stared at me, as in everyone.

There was Samuel Harrington, Avella Harrington, his wife and their kids, Lucas Harrington, Joross Harrington, Althea Harrington and Jax Harrington.

And on the Cortez family, Arthur Cortez, Amelia Cortez, his wife and their kids, Alex Cortez, and the twins, Acel and Arial Cortez.

"Um", I trailed off, not knowing what to say.

"Her answer is yes", Eros speaker out and once again I wanted to kill him.

"Jax, can I talk to you?" I asked and he nodded his head.

We stood up from our seat and was walking out of the kitchen door when Eros spoke up. "Make sure to hold yourself back from kissing my sister again".

I face-palmed myself and rushed to walk out. I faced Jax once we made it to the living room.

"What are you trying to do?" I asked him and crossed my arms in my chest.

"I'm not trying to do anything", Jax answered and stick his hands inside his pockets.

"Then why are you doing this?" I asked him.

"Because I like you", Jax confessed and my heart beat increased.

"Why? You barely know me", I said to him.

"That's why I want to court you, so I can get to know you more", he reasoned out.

"You don't know what you're getting yourself into", I said and he shooked his head.

"I know what I'm getting myself into", he said,  "Look, from the first time I saw you, I started to feel different, I wanted to go to school everyday just to see you, I don't care if this sounds all cliche right now, I just want you to know".

"Yeah you do sound all cliche right now", I said and he rolled his eyes.

"I'm confessing here, something I don't do and you're ruining the moment", he said playfully and I chuckled.

"Sorry", I said.

"So can I court you?" Jax asked.

"I didn't know guys still do that", I said with a small laugh.

"Well what can I say? I'm an old highschool guy", he said and smiled.

"Do you really like me?" I asked him.

"Can I do something?" He asked and he walked closer to me.

"What is it?" I asked him and he stood up there in front of me.

"Ask me that question again?" He said and looked down at me.

Curse you, height difference.

"What is it?" I asked unsure.

He chuckled, "Not that, the one before that".

"Oh, do you really like me?" I asked him once again.

He did something I didn't imagine him to do again.

He kissed me once again, but it was only for a short time.

"Yes I do", he whispered to me, "By the way, you look perfect tonight".

And right there, my heart beats rapidly.

"Awe man, I told you to hold yourself back from kissing her again", Eros voice whined out, "But thank you for not listening, alright people, pay up, my dad and I won the bet".

Jax and I pulled away from each other and we saw everyone in the same room as Jax and I and they were all frowning except for my dad and Eros who were grinning so wide.

"Tsk, Tsk, son I was hoping you wouldn't kiss her again, now I lost the bet", Samuel Harrington said.

"PAY UP!" My dad and Eros shouted, holding their hands out.

"Sweet", Eros grinned when the rest gave some of their money to my dad and my brother.

"Like father like son", Arthur Cortez said while shaking his head with a frown, due to the fact that he's one of the people who lost the bet THAT I DIDN'T KNOW.

"Don't tell me they just bet on us?" Jax asked.

"They just did", I answered.
