We were all gathered inside my dad's office because he has an important news to us.

"Your mom is going to jail".

"She is?" Shy asked.

"Finally", Aaron breathe out and relaxed himself on one of the couch.

"Is it because of what she did to me?" I asked my dad.

"No honey, when I went there, she was doing drugs with a guy and I called the police right there and they got caught", my dad explained.

"Drugs?" Eros asked.

"Yes, did you guys know that she do drugs?" My dad asked.

"No"

"Yes", I answered and they all stared at me.

"Those nights she would beat me up, she was under the influence of drugs and alcohol", I said to them and put my head down, finding my fingers more interesting.

Someone hugged me and it was my older sister, "I wished those things never happened to you".

"If I could take the pain away, I will", my dad said and hugged me, too.

"GROUP HUG", Eros shouted and we did a group hug.

Oh Eros.

"It's okay, I'm a big girl", I said and smiled.

"But you're small", Eros said.

I closed my eyes to try and stop myself from getting annoyed at Eros once again.

My dad chuckled, "Don't start it, son".

"But it's so fun annoying her", Eros laughed.

My dad went back to his chair, "You know, I've always thought Aaron and Althea would get together in the future so that Samuel and I's business would emerge, but I guess it's the younger ones that would do it".

"WHAT?!" that was Aaron and I who shouted.

"Hey it was just a prediction, Aaron", my dad defended himself, "I was just joking, EA".

Aaron and I breathe in relief.

"Do you like Jax?" My dad asked out of nowhere and once again, the attention was on me.

"No, I don't even know him that much, yet", I said.

"Ouuu, yet, there's a yet, that means there's a chance she'll like him back", Eros onced again opened his mouth.

"Dad, can I borrow your stapler", I asked.

"Why?" My dad asked curiously.

"So I can staple his fucking mouth", I growled at Eros.

"Watch your language, missy", my dad asked and I let out a 'sorry'.

"Okay, good", my dad said and I grinned while Eros whined.

"Wait not that, I mean EA liking Jax, it's a good thing that she doesn't like him yet because I'm not ready to give off any of my daughters to any guy yet", my dad said.

Shy and I both looked at each other and laughed. "Dad, really?" Shy said with a laugh.

"Yes", my dad answers.

"But she's going to answer Alex soon", Aaron said.

"Shut up Aaron", Shy squeaked out.

"You are?" My dad asked.

I looked at Eros and he looked back at me and shrug his shoulder, not having a clue on whats going on now.

"Yes, dad", Shy said, "I've already fallen in love with him".

"Let me talk to him before you decide to answer him", my dad said.

"Oh me too", Aaron said.

"Oh me three", Eros butted in.

All of them looked at me. "Me four?" I asked unsure of my answer.

"Ugh fine, I'll tell him to come for a dinner", Shy asked.

"Okay", my dad said.

"So who is this Alex?" I asked.

"Alex is Shy's suitor", Aaron said, "He's been courting Shy for six months now".

"Oh", I said.

"Yup", my dad said.

"You guys are so open", Eros exclaimed, "That is so cool".

"I don't want my kids keeping a secret from me or them feeling like I don't care about them that's why these two always tells me what's happening with their life, we're all like best friends", my dad explained.

"True", Shy said.

"Can I do that, too?" Eros asked.

"Of course, you're my son after all", my dad said, "And that includes you, EA, no secrets alright?"

"Yes dad", I said.

And for the first time in how many years, I've finally felt the love of a parent and the acceptance of a family once again.
