Maria pov

I spent three hours sitting across from Flynn in the Timmy's. I did homework as he sat in front of me, occasionally helping.

'Maria where is your ass because the Monday night pack meeting just finished.' Jeremy's angry voice boomed in my head. My face went pale.

"Are you okay?" Flynn asked concerned.

"For the first time ever I just missed the weekly pack meeting," my voice quivered.

"It's okay," Flynn tried to calm me down while standing up and putting our stuff away. "You can go home and tell them where you were and what happened."

I began to calm down when Flynn started to rub my back and walk me to my truck. He opened my door for me and then lifted me into the drivers seat. I looked down at him with my eyes wide.

"I'm sorry that I haven't told them about you but they're really protective and I didn't want them to for-" Flynn cut me off with a finger on my lip. I looked down at it confused.

"Tell them when you're ready, okay?" Flynn smiled. "Everything will turn out okay."

Flynn kissed my cheek quickly and then shut my door. He got into his truck and started the engine. I followed suit and then we went our separate ways.

~~~~~~~~
"What?!" I shouted. "This was the first time I've ever missed a meeting, you won't hear why I wasn't here and then you decide that I should be grounded!"
"I'm your Alpha." Jeremy said sternly.
"My Alpha not Papa!" I said back with venom.
"Tom is not here right now so yes, you are grounded." He commanded me.
"Your commands don't work on me." I said back purposely trying to rub it in. "Never have never will."
Jeremy's face went red. "And why is that do you think?" He spat.
"Because my real Daddy had more power than you." I said smugly. Jeremy started to laugh. "What?" I asked angrily.
"Maria, my command doesn't not work because your dad was stronger than me," he scolded as Matt and Ryder walked in. "My command doesn't work because I'm your brother!" He yelled viciously.
Immediately shocked by this information I sunk down to the floor. Ryder and Matt punched Jeremy as his face paled. Tears began to roll down my face as I realize that I did know my Dad, and now he's dead. I started to feel angry.
"You all kept this from me?" I whispered with a growl. Their faces paled. "You all knew."
Slowly they nodded their heads. That was when I launched off of my legs and into the air at them. I tackled Jeremy and then when Ryder and Matt tried pulling me off I whirled and attacked them. Pack member tried pulling me off when they realized it was a big fight now.
When I saw the pack doctor with a sedative, I practically flew out of the brawl and up the stairs into my bedroom. Hot, angry tears rolled down my cheeks. I stuffed a bunch of clothes and necessities into a bag and ran back downstairs. I bolted out the door and began running toward the forest. I heard running footsteps behind me so I shifted mid-step and grabbed the bag in my mouth.
~~~~~~

I was now pawing on my mate's pack house door. I dropped my bag and began to whine and whimper. My big paws gently brushed on the door enough to make a sound. My tail was curled under me and my whimpers became uncontrollable. Eventually the door opened and I could tell it was Flynn's beta.

"Look, the Alpha isn't home right now so you and your nasty little rogue smell can leave and not come back." the beta growled before slamming the door into my face. I growled strongly once, for the disrespect to his future Luna but then I whimpered and grabbed my bag and settled into the tree line to wait for Flynn to get home.

~~~~~~~~~
I spent four rainy nights in the forest. I learned that I couldn't hunt because that would spread my scent when the beta caught me off guard, roughed me up and chased me onto another territory. I had had to retrace the trail I took while limping back to my tree line hideaway without leaving a trail of blood.
My stomach growled and I shivered. I had healed but to heal werewolves burn extra calories so what I had preserved diminished quickly. The cold rain had long ago soaked through my coat and the mud pooled around me but my scent was washed away too. I whimpered as night fell and Flynn still wasn't back. For the first time in three days I moved to curl up into a ball for warmth.
I guess I had been laying there, unable to sleep, for about four hours when I heard the rumble of a truck in the distance. My ears perked up when the truck rolled into the massive driveway. Flynn's scent washed over me but all I did was whimper. I heard his steps halt completely and his bag drop so I whimpered again.
I heard him running in my direction in wolf form. I whimpered again and heard his pace pick up. I felt a nose sniffing near the bush in front of me and whimpered again. Next thing I knew my golden wolf was rubbing his head along my back and on my face to try and warm me up. I lifted my head, grabbed my bag and shakily got to my feet.
I wobbled my way to Flynn's pack house. Flynn had to frequently help me stay standing and he also carried my bag for me. He set my bag next to his and then helped me up the stairs to the door. He barked powerfully and immediately the beta opened the door. The beta snarled.
"Alpha that's the rogue I chased off of our land a few days ago, why would you let it back?" The beta said in disgust.
Flynn growled so loudly that the beta cowered away in the place of submitting. He helped me inside the house and then up the stairs. When we got to what I assumed was his bedroom by the fact I was surrounded in his scent, he shifted and got dressed quickly.
"Can you shift?" Flynn asked while draping a blanket over my shaking form. I shifted and he wrapped me in the blanket and lifted me into the bed under the covers.
"Here are a pair of my sweatpants and a T-shirt. I'm sure whatever you brought is soaked through," Flynn whispered. "I'm going to get you some soup while you change."
As he left the room I pulled the clothes on and buried myself back under the blankets. I nodded off to sleep surrounded in my mates scent.
Is this too long? Do you agree Maria had the right to freak out like that? Wasn't the beta a jerk?
