(Y/N)'s POV:
Despite how nice it was of Mr. Mondevarious to create this party, I didn't think it would be such a good idea to celebrate during an investigation, not when something weird is going on with the college kids. When it started to get dark, Dean, Sam, (F/A/N) and I split up to ask if anyone knew anything strange that might be going on around here.
"So, you haven't noticed anything unusual since you started working here? Any weirdos running around? Or anything that might stand out from usual?" I ask one of the workers, who is dressed up in a creepy looking skeleton costume.
"Uh, no," says the worker.
"Okay, well thanks for your time," I say, then walk away with (F/A/N), letting out a sigh of not having much luck with the investigation.
"Like, hi, (N/N)," I hear, making me turn around to see Shaggy.
"Hi, Shaggy. Hey, Scooby. What's up?" I ask.
"Well, I was just wondering how your investigation was going," he says.
I let out a sigh. "Not as well as I would have liked. I've been hitting a dead end, since no one has noticed anything unusual that could possibly be the cause of the strange behavior of the college students. And the only history behind this place is that when Mr. Mondevarious found this place, he thought it'd be great spot for his amusement park. None of it makes any sense, that the whole thing is starting to make my head hurt," I say.
"Like, maybe you should take a break. Besides, I promised to take you out on a date," he points out, making me smile at him.
I feel (F/A/N) nudge me a little. "Go for it. You've hardly had any time to yourself lately," he/she says, referring to our job as detectives.
I think about for a minute, and then smile, giving Shaggy a smile. "Why not? I guess some down time wouldn't hurt."
With that said, we hold each other's hands, and start to walk around, doing whatever that looked fun...within reason, of course. Since Spooky Island has a lot of scary looking rides and game booths, we only did whatever looked less scary, so that Shaggy wouldn't freak out. I eventually noticed, however, that Scooby was no longer with us, making me hope that he was alright.
"Want a stuffed thingy?" Shaggy asks, pointing to a crane machine.
"You're practically the only person I know who is good at these things," I say, as we walk to the crane machine.
"Fred once said it's a worthless talent, that I should've learned French instead," Shaggy says, putting in a quarter, and then moving the bone looking crane. "But I say you don't need to know what "Voulez-vous coucher avec moi" means to love that song."
"Oh, don't be silly, Shaggy. I think being good at crane machine is way cooler than French," I say, as the stuffed head he got fell into the prize slot.
"Voila," he says, handing me the stuffed head.
"You're so sweet," I say, taking the head, and grabbing his hand with my free one.
I'll admit, it's no shocker that the head is a little creepy looking, considering the fact that we're on Spooky Island, but it's really nice of my boyfriend to have won a prize for me. I even noticed (F/A/N) smiling at us, his/her way of showing how happy he/she is to know that I'm enjoying this moment with Shaggy.
"Thanks for this date, Shaggy. It was really sweet of you. I'm also surprised that you'd actually do this for me, considering how we're in a scary looking place like Spooky Island," I point out.
"Hey, I'd do anything for you. You know that, right?" he asks.
"Of course I do," I say, then kiss him on the cheek.
We then hear someone clear their throat, making us turn our attention to see Sam and Dean. "Are we interrupting something?" Dean asks.
I roll my eyes at him.
Way to ruin the moment.
"Even I need to take a break from an investigation once in a while, especially when I want to spend some time with my boyfriend," I say. "Anyway, did you guys find anything, or did you just come to interrupt our date."
Before Dean or Sam can answer, we all hear a familiar scream. Out of nowhere, Scooby suddenly appears, running towards us.
"(Y/N), (F/A/N), Raggy!" Scooby screams, jumping into Shaggy's arms. "R-ronster! Ronster!"
"A monster?" Shaggy asks, looking scared himself.
"Where?" I ask, wondering what it could be this time.
Scooby points to the direction he came from, making us turn our attention towards it. But instead of a monster, one of the workers on Spooky Island appears, wearing a type of costume that almost resembles a pink bunny (I don't know about you guys, but that's what it looks like to me). The worker does some dance moves, moving to the beat of the music, as well as making some people nearby join in.
"Scooby-Doo, like, quit fooling around, man," Shaggy says, placing Scooby back down.
"Scoob, we're on Spooky Island," Sam points out.
"You probably just saw someone wearing a creepy looking costume, and made a mistake," I say, patting him on the head to help calm him down a little.
"(Y/N), (F/A/N), Sam, Dean, Shaggy, Scooby," we hear, making us look to see Daphne, urging us to follow her, as well as making us wonder what could be wrong this time.
(Y/N) POV:
Once we arrive where Daphne wanted to take us, to a closed down ride called "Spooky Island Castle", Shaggy and Scooby get scared at the sight of the castle.
"No way," Shaggy says, not wanting to go in.
"Shaggy--" Daphne starts to say, to try and convince him to go in.
"Uh-uh, Scoob and me don't do castles," Shaggy says, earning a nod of agreement from Scooby.
"Why not?" Sam asks.
"Because castles have paintings with eyes that watch you, AND suits of armor you think is a statue, but there's a guy inside who follows you every time you turn around," Shaggy explains, while Scooby does certain gestures to show what he's talking about, nearly making Sam and Dean laugh for being silly.
"How many times has that actually happened?" Dean asks, trying not to laugh.
"Twelve. We're not gonna do it," Shaggy says with his arms crossed, his way of saying that he's not going in that castle, and that's final.
"Thrat's right," Scooby says in agreement.
Daphne then searches for something in her hand-bag. "Scooby?"
I know where this is going.
Scooby then starts to whimper and pretend that his right front leg is broken.
"Did you hurt your paw?" Daphne asks.
"Would you do it for a Scooby Snack?" (F/A/N) asks, gesturing to the snack Daphne is holding.
"Roh, boy!" Scooby exclaims, getting all excited about the snack.
"And you'll be fearless?" I ask.
"Rearless?" Scooby asks back, then does a few karate moves, and accidentally kicks Shaggy in the face.
"Ow. Hey, Hong Kong Phooey, watch the fists of fury, would ya, buddy?" Shaggy asks.
"Here you go," Daphne says, tossing the snack to Scooby, who caught in his mouth with no problem.
"Rank you," Scooby thanks.
"There's plenty more where that came from," Daphne says.
"Now let's get going before somebody sees us," I say. Before we could enter the castle, however, I notice that one of us is still too scared to go, which would be Shaggy. "You're not gonna stay out here ALONE, are you?"
"No, thank you," Shaggy says, catching up to the rest of us.
With that, we entered the castle, and the place is definitely a lot more scary then the other castles I've been to back with Mystery Inc.
"This place is, like, uber creepy," says Shaggy.
"Yeah, uber creepy," Scooby says in agreement.
"The only thing missing is a mindless zombie," says Daphne.
"Maybe a pharaoh covered in bandages," says Dean.
"Or Dracula," Sam says, joking a little.
"Oh, you two are a riot," I say, not amused with their humor.
We then hear a door open, catching us by surprise, thinking that we had been caught red-handed. Shaggy even jumped into Scooby's arms, while (F/A/N) and I hug each other for dear life. But, turns out, it was just Fred, who was just as shocked to see us, as we are of him.
"Fred, get back. I found this place. I call dibs on its clue," says Daphne.
"I've already found some clues," says Fred.
Daphne's eyes widen in shock. "What?"
"I followed some weird footprints up here. It might be dangerous for you," says Fred.
"If anyone messes with me, I'll just open a can of Chinese whoop-ass on them," Daphne declares.
During their conversation, I notice Velma, who is standing behind one of the monster looking animatronics. She places a finger on her lips, telling me to be quiet, and then points to Daphne. It's at that moment that I understand what she's trying to do, making me smile, and nod my head to her, to let her know that I won't blow her cover. Velma then slowly pushes the animatronic, and uses the hand to grab Daphne, making her and Shaggy scream. Velma and I then laugh at her successful prank to scare Daphne.
"Velma!" Shaggy exclaims, not happy that he also got scared from her prank.
"What are you doing here?" Fred asks.
"This ride was closed due to dangerous construction. It's the most likely place to hatch an insidious plan. And I wanted to scare the patootie out of Daphne," Velma says, earning smack on the hand from Daphne, who used her handbag.
"You knew she was behind there the whole time, didn't you?" Daphne questions, giving me a glare.
"M-Maybe!" I say, trying to control my laughter.
"Well, since we're all together, let's split up and look for more clues," Fred suggests. "Daphne, you and I will--"
Velma then cuts him off. "Typical," she says.
"What?" Fred asks, wondering what he did wrong this time.
"Oh, nothing. I was always picked last for the teams," Velma points out.
Fred then sighs. "Okay. Daphne, exit through the entrance. Velma and I will enter through the exit there. (Y/N), (F/A/N), Sam and Dean, you guys pick whoever you want to be teamed up with. And Shaggy and Scooby..." Fred says, pausing for a moment to see Shaggy messing around with the animatronic's hand. "...Do whatever you guys do."
With that said and done, we all split up into groups of three. Dean went with Fred and Velma, while Sam went with Shaggy and Scooby, and me and (F/A/N) went with Daphne.
Well, hopefully we'll all be able to at least get along until this mystery is solved.
