-Mr. Giraffe-

Lili's POV

A bucket of paint is splashed onto me.

That's not the worst part. It was hot fudging pink!

I gasped.

"Now, we're even." There's that gorgeous smirk again. Wait, what. This paint must've made me delusional.

I glare at him.

"Fine. We're even." I say getting out of the locker and stumbling a bit. He reaches out to help me but retreats his hand. I glare at him even more if that's even possible.

"Good." He says and walks away with that stupid frown.

I walk to the ladies room which was across the girls locker room.

I look at myself in the mirror.

How in the name of giraffes am I going to get rid of this?

I sigh and decided to wear my extra clothes.

Where's my leather jacket?

I panicked and went back to the locker where I was hiding at.

It wasn't there.

"Where is it?!" I shout and kick the locker.

I can't lose it. I just can't. It's to important to me. To him.

I swallowed a lump in my throat.

Don't cry.

I figured I would get rid of the paint and change into something that's not covered in paint, then look for my most prized possession.

I turned on the shower and almost screamed at how cold the water was.

I ignored that and closed my eyes, bringing me back to when I was with him.

"Here you go." He says and puts on the leather jacket on me. "Don't ever lose it. Losing that would be like losing me. So when I'm not around, just remember, I'll always be with you."

"What do you mean by not around?" I ask. "Are you moving away?" I raise an eyebrow at him.

"Something like that. Just keep it safe alright." He says and hugs me tightly.

I opened my eyes only to find that I've been crying.

Why did he have to leave me?

I turned off the shower, dried myself with a school towel which I found in my locker, hoping it's clean, and put on my new clothes which consisted of high waisted blue denim ripped jeans and a black crop top with the words 'fuck life, eat food'.

I put on my black boots which surprisingly didn't get the dirty at all.

I wanted go home right now but I couldn't because one; I need to find my leather jacket. And two; I have detention with Mr. Giraffe.

I checked the mirror and cursed under my breath when there were pink 'highlights' on my hair.

Yippidy Tipidy!

So, I decided to check the arts room, wondering why I didn't search there in the first place and thankfully it was there and Mr. Giraffe, didn't vandalise it.

I hugged it tight and kissed my jacket.

I, then ran to the detention room so I wouldn't have detention for a whole month.

And to my surprise, Mr. Giraffe was sitting there with his eyes closed and legs on the table. That's not all, guess what. No teacher!

That's good but not good at the same time.

It's good because then well, there isn't a teacher in the class, duh.

It's bad because I'm stuck with Mr. I-can't-smile-and-I'm-a-fucking-Giraffe.

Dear Lord, please keep me from killing the giraffe that should not be named so when I die I have a place in Heaven. Amen.

I plopped my self on the chair which was across the room from the giraffe that should not be named.

I unlocked my phone and texted Kyle that I got detention and he laughed at me for having detention on my first day back but I've never gotten detention in my whole life 2 years ago.

I rolled my eyes at him.

I wouldn't have had detention if Mr. Giraffe-who-shall-not-be-named, hadn't opened his stupid mouth.

Why is always frowning anyways? Did he just get detox or something?

I don't understand why he hates me so much anyway. Other than the fact I said he sweat a lot and annoyed the hell out of him during class and made a dent on his locker, let's not forget when I kicked his babymaker...

Okay, maybe I understand why he hates me. It's funny how all this could happen in a day. It didn't feel like one day at all.

I opened my chat with Caleb and reread the messages I sent ever since he died and our chat when he was still alive.

Me: Hey, heartsies.

No reply.

Me: Today was my first day back.

Still, no reply.

Me: I miss you.

Me: I think about you everyday.

Me: I wish you were with me.

Me: Today was pretty eventful.

Me: There's this annoying guy who reminds me of a giraffe and he got me in trouble. But I poured a bucket of paint on him which he did to me back and I kicked his babymaker, just like you taught me.

Me: Are you sleeping? You must be. Rest well.

Me: I love you, heartsies.

A tear somehow managed to escape my eye and I wiped it away before anyone could see.

I look at Ryder to see his still asleep.

It would've been embarrassing if he noticed. I don't cry. Lili doesn't cry.

I close my eyes and lean back on the chair. Soon, I feel the darkness engulf me.

"Promise me, you won't ever leave me." I say as I hold out my pinky finger.

"I promise." He says and crosses his pinky finger with mine.

"I love you, more than all the pizza in this world." I say.

"I love you more than you can imagine." He says and kisses my forehead.

But aren't promises made to be broken?

I jolt up awake when my phone rings.

Detention ended 5 minutes ago.

From My Dearest Wombmate: I forgot to tell you we are going for dinner with some family friends who you probably don't know.

Me: Ugh, fine.

I groaned.

I stood up, grabbing my stuff with me and walked out the room.

So, here I am now looking at myself on the mirror.

I am wearing a black off shoulder dress that reaches above my knees and white heels.

I tie my hair into a twisted updo.

I put on a little blush, matte lipstick and a little eyeshadow.

My mum said this is an important dinner so I must behave, look presentable and act like I'm a good girl even though she knows I'm her little troublemaker. Her words not mine.

Speaking of her, she calls me to come downstairs to leave and we needed to be there on time.

I would have shouted back saying I'm almost done but I don't want to get an earful from her. I don't know how some kids talk back to their parents like they're nothing. If it were my parents, the would definitely make me pay if I disobeyed them or talked back at them.

"Coming!" I say as I run down the stairs after grabbing my heels and clutch.

"Aww, you look so beautiful, honey." My mum says.

"Of course, I do. For you guys." I say playfully glaring at them.

"This going to be bad." I hear Kyle day under his breath.

"What do you mean?" I ask Kyle.

"Oh-uh nothing." He says and walk out the door.

I shook my head at him and after everyone was in, my dad started driving.

Not the driver, my dad.

The whole ride, I was playing with Oggy and I missed him so freaking much.

We arrived to a house or in other words a mansion probably as big as mine. And let me tell you our house is pretty big.

We drive through the big gates and stop in front of the house.

A little family is waiting for us there and I smile at them.

Behave, look presentable, don't do anything stupid.

But a guy comes out of the house and he seemed way too familiar.

Mr. Giraffe.
