-now, what can you do?-
Lili's PoV
I don't remember when I fell asleep but I definitely don't remember going to the hospital.
My eyes were closed but I opened them for a second before to look at where I was and pretended to be asleep.
I finally decided to wake up Kyle who was on the chair next to the bed with his head buried in his hands on the bed.
I sit up and shook him a little.
"Kyle...wakey wakey..." I whisper but he doesn't budge.
I huff and roll my eyes.
I put my ear really close to his ear and shout.
"KYLE!!!FIRE!!!" I shout in his ear.
He jolts up awake and falls of the chair. I stifle a laugh.
He looks around until his eyes landed on me.
I look at him innocently.
"Lili!" He exclaims and gives me a bear hug.
"Yup. That's me." I say.
He let's go and looks at me.
"What the hell, happened?!" He asks.
I sigh as I recall what happened.
"Long story short. I was driving, I saw a squirrel in the middle of nowhere and went off the road. My phone was dead and I just decided to walk." I say, shrugging.
He raises an eyebrow at me.
"A squirrel? Really?" He chuckles.
I'm so amazing at lying.
Is that a good thing?
Oh well, it is to me.
"How did you guys find me?" I ask, curiously.
"Ryder said he found you, unconscious, at the sidewalk and he brought you to the hospital before informing us." He says.
Thank God, he didn't tell them about that place.
I nod.
"Shouldn't you like...call the doctor or something? At least, I guess that's what normal people do." I say.
A look of realisation washes over his face. He tells me he'll be back and walks out.
I sigh and close my eyes.
Getting admitted into a hospital on your birthday?
I chuckled at the thought.
God, I miss you.
I wish you were here, Caleb.
Why couldn't you just hand me in?
I sigh.
Then, a thought pops into my head.
What was Giraffie even doing there at that time?
Is he secretly a vampire or something?
Maybe he was looking for a rabbit-
My thoughts were interrupted when the door flew open, revealing my mom and dad.
"Lili!" My mom cried as she ran to me with dad behind her.
"Sweetpea!" My dad exclaims.
"Hi?" I say.
They hug me tightly.
"We were so worried!" My mum exclaims.
I smile sadly at them.
"I'm fine." I lied.
"You better be. I was so worried." My dad says. "What happened?"
"Squirrel. Car crash. Dead phone. Hospital." I shrug.
My dad sighs.
"I'm so glad you're okay." My mom says.
"Don't worry about it. It was just a little car crash." I say.
The doctor walks in and does a little check up on me before announcing that I would be out tomorrow and there aren't many injuries except for a mild concussion.
"You guys look horrible." I say to my family. "Where's Oggy?"
"Geez, thanks." Kyle says, blankly. "He's at aunt Alice's."
"You guys should go back and take care of yourselves." I say.
"There's paparazzi outside." My mum sighs. "Those humans don't know when to stop, do they? I mean, we're just visiting you, not having a heart transplant or something."
Kyle and I don't get ambushed by paparazzi because my parents kept our identities a secret.
"Kyle, you should exit from the back so they don't get to you." My dad says and Kyle nods.
After a few minutes, they finally left me alone.
I lay back on the bed and sigh as I stare at the ceiling.
I got up and walked to the bathroom in the room.
I look at myself in the mirror in disgust.
I'm getting fatter and uglier.
What happened to me?
I need to lose some weight or I'll be a fatty just like I was before.
I felt a bile rise up in my throat and rushed to the toilet bowl before emptying the contents in my stomach.
I flush down the disgusting content and gargle my mouth with water and brush my teeth, before leaving the bathroom.
There sitting on the couch was my one and only Mr. Giraffe.
"Hey, Giraffie." I say.
"Shortcake." He nods his head at me.
"Thanks for bringing me to the hospital. And whatever actually happened, please don't tell anyone." I say.
He nods and points at the food in front of him which I didn't realise was there.
"Eat." He says.
"It's okay. I'm not hungry." I decline his offer.
"I wasn't asking." He says sternly.
"I don't care." I say and sit on the bed. "I told you, I'm not hungry. I just ate." I lie.
"Don't lie to me, Lili." He says. "You should eat."
"Why do you care?" I snap at him.
"Because I do. And there's nothing you can do about it." He says.
"Oh yeah? Well, guess what? I can. So, deal with it." I say, standing up.
"Oh really? What can you do?" He raises an eyebrow and gets up from the couch, walking to me slowly.
"I can not eat that." I say.
When he was this close to trapping me, I moved out of the way but he was too fast and caught my waist.
He traps me in between his body and the wall.
"Are you sure about that?" He says, lowly.
I narrow my eyes at him.
"I'm not hungry." I say.
His eyes divert from my eyes to my lips then to my eyes again.
He moves his lips close to my ear and whispers,
"Can I kiss you, again?" He whispers, huskily.
My breath hitches in my throat but I nod anyways.
His lips connect with mine and it felt so right. It felt like everything in the world was right and that I didn't need to be worried of everything.
I wrap my arms around his neck as his tangle in my hair.
He lifts me up by my thigh and I jump up, wrapping my legs around his torso.
I run my hands through his messy, soft hair.
He groans and pushes me to the wall.
We pull apart, breathless as we stare into each other's eyes.
"Now, what can you do?" He says, lowly and breathlessly.
