Chapter 3

Emile

"So,how are you?"Jason asked.

"Am not even sure."I said and gulped my beer.

"What happened Emile?"

"I got transferred."

"Isn't that a good thing,I thought you hated your work place."

"I just don't think I will be able to fit in,have you seen the place!"

"Where are we talking about?"

"Star enterprise."I whispered.

Jason became silent and instantly tensed for a while.

"Mmmm...that's great babe."he said and gulped his beer.

"Jason are you okay?is it something I said?"

"No babe,am fine....so when are you starting?"

"Tomorrow."

"Would you like me to come with you?"he asked with a worried look on his face.

"No of course not."

"Ouch."

"You know,I didn't mean it that way."

"Chill,am just messing with you,come sleep over at my place tonight."

"I can't,we both know we won't be getting much sleep and I need to wake up early."

"I hate this your new job already."he teased and became silent all of a sudden.

"Are you sure your okay? You seem distant."

"There's something I need to tell you but not today."

"Your just gonna make me curious all day,just tell me." I whined.

"Not today Emile,it's complicated."

"Who's she?I blurted out.

He chuckled

"What are you talking about?"

"It's obviously a girl that as made you this worked up."

"Quit with the assumptions Emile,am not cheating on you."

He groaned.

"Then,fine don't tell me."I said and looked out the window.

"You know you look adorable when you pretend to be mad."he teased.

"Am not pretending."I whined still looking out the window.

"Regardless,you look adorable."

I turned my head slowly to him.

He had a big grin on his face that I couldn't help but smile back.
