From the past few days, I along with Akash and private detectives searched every damn thing, turned every damn stone and now we have enough proofs to make sure Shyam rots in the jail for a good long time. Di has somewhat accepted and did whatever she could to help the case and be finally free from that bastard.

Nani sipped her tea before saying, "After this we should speak to the Gupta family. They have been patiently waiting for a very long time now."

I looked up at her from my laptop and nodded. Because even under these circumstances I was dreading to at leeast be in the same room as Khushi. I agree this is not the time or place or situation for such a desire to be expressed or to be feeling, but even the thought of seeing her from a distance fills me with a kind of peace in this very moment.

Mami scoffed slightly from behind her tea cup.

"Hello-Hi-Bye-Bye, Sasu ma, but do you not think that we should just keep our distance from those people?" she set her cup down on the saucerbefore she looked at Nani and continued. "They lied to us even after knowing Damad ji's truth for only they and Devi Maiya knows how long. You still want me to wed my one and only son to their Khunbhari Tang?"

Nani pressed her lips in a thin line before speaking, "They have also suffered because of him. Also, they said they were hesitant thinkig we wouldn't believe them. If there was no proff none of us would have believed, Manorama."

"Pur-"

"Ma, please." Akash cut in firmly with a hint of irritation between his brows. "You know I love Payal. Please don't do this for once."

Mami made a face of irritation and murmured under her breath before Di, who was sitting quitely spoke up for the first time in weeks.

"Mami, please. Say yes. You know Gupta family isn't at fault. Anyone would have hesitated in a situation like that. But they still told us the truth the day before the wedding knowing what will happened."

Mami's gaze slihjtly softened as her words. before she scowled slightly to hide it and replied, "Thik hai, Hello-Hi- Bye-Bye. Do whatever you want. I will not create any problems. Happy?"

Di offered her a small smile and nodded. "Very. Thank you."
