CH: 70 Get Him
(Jamison POV)
(BTW, Please be aware that Be My Bad Boy might be a series, so Book 1, Book 2, and Book 3 might be a consideration, we'll see.)
The parents' anger was understandable; the way they lashed out, the tears falling from their faces, and how they looked powerless were things I imagined they would feel.
I felt pain, sadness, and anger, and I especially felt more anger when the parents said that the bastard offered to help them.
He offered to help them look for their children when he was the main one who had their children this whole time when he was the main one who took their children from them.
When I heard the gasp come from Jacob's mother, hearing the words that left her mouth caused a cold chill to run down my back.
Things like that, that's what I call them. They're not allowed to be called humans and should not be roaming the same surface as us. They're nothing but rodents that walked the earth, should not be allowed to roam the planet, should not be allowed to hurt others.
Those parents will not be able to take their children home tonight, and they're not going to be able to be at peace with what was told to them about what happened to their boys.
Now, knowing that their children's tormentor was someone who had offered to offer them help them find their children, being the main one who kept their children away from them.
When I saw the agents' facial expressions, I could see the guilt written on their faces, not because they had anything to do with the children's death. Still, the responsibility of failing these parents was something that I felt the agents took personally.
It took them a while to collect the parents and escort them out of Rosemary's lab. Seeing the parents break down the way they did was something that definitely will stay with me for the rest of my life.
"Jamison?" Rosemary's voice called out to me, and I raised my head to look at her. She was staring at me with a concerned look.
I knew she was worried about me, and quite frankly, she had every right to be concerned about me.
I mean, this is something that I was still getting used to, and I was still finding myself working on how to deal with it, so she had every right to be worried.
"I'm okay, don't worry. I'll be fine." I said, turning around to face her.
Rosemary continued to stare at me with the impression she would have on her face when she didn't buy something.
"You know I am here for you. We're partners." She said in a soft tone.
My heart softens at that, and I let out a sigh. I let my guard down and approached her.
"Yes, Bambi. I know that we're partners, and I love every moment. I don't want to be a burden on you too much." I said to her honestly.
She had so much to do, she had a lot on her plate, and she will continue to do so. I don't want to give her too much to handle.
"Jami, you're not a burden to me, and you never will be. I will never see you like that, so don't ever think of yourself that way, and you know, I'm a very blunt person. If I thought of you as a burden, I would have said that." Rosemary said, causing me to roll my eyes playfully.
"You're right about that," I said, smiling at her softly.
"Let's walk into the next room." She said. I nodded my head and followed her.
"They've released pictures of the guy." She said as we walked out of the room.
"The CSI team is at the scenes where the other remains were found, his graveyard scene," Rosemary said in a snarl.
"Releasing his picture will cause everyone who came in contact with him, who lived near him, and anyone who has their suspicions of him to be brought to awareness," Rosemary said as she entered the room, Mona was in the boys.
"People who had come in contact with him, people who had lived in previous buildings with him and had their loved ones gone missing, will finally be able to make the click," I said in a soft voice.
The boys were staring at us, they both looked sad, and Mona had a sad expression on her face.
"We heard our parents crying," Jacob said.
I flinched at that.
The number of emotions held back from his voice was raw; hearing a child trying to refrain from crying when they wanted to cry was one of the most horrible things to hear.
Why? Because there's no way you can sit there and tell a child in this state not to cry, especially when they had every reason to cry.
"Did you tell them who did it?" Jonathan asked.
"Yes. I did, as promised." Rosemary said.
"Are they going to go after him?" Jonathan asked.
"Yes. He's not going to get away with this, and he's not going to hurt any more people because he won't be given a chance to." Rosemary said.
"Remember when you guys said that we will have abilities in the forms we are in?" Jacob asked.
"Yes, did you come across a new ability?" Rosemary asked in a curious voice.
"My dad isn't just going to let the police deal with it, and I don't think any of our parents will allow the police to deal with it. We heard them." Jacob said in a low voice.
I raised a confused brow to what he meant by that.
"What do you mean by that?" I asked him, but before he could answer the question. Rosemary suddenly jolted into a sprint.
"What? What's going on?" I asked, confused. I turned around and ran after her.
"Mona, watch the boys. Analyze them, and boys tell Mona everything, don't leave anything out. Please don't, don't let your parents do this. Leave this to us." Rosemary yelled back.
We ran into the elevator and got in.
"Care to fill me in on what's going on?" I asked her as she pressed the parking garage button on the elevator.
"Well, I think Jacob just revealed that one of his abilities is reading minds, and he knows that their parents are planning on taking matters into their own hands." She said, causing me to widen my eyes.
"What, how the hell? How long has he had that ability?" I asked.
"I don't know. I just realized he did Jamison! We need to let the others know that the parents are planning this. They're grieving and now know who did this to their boys. As much as I know they want revenge and want the freak who did this to their sons to suffer, he did this to many other boys as well, and those boys also deserve justice; they also had loved ones who deserve justice for them, and this freak needs to pay for the crimes he committed against them. They can't do it this way, and it needs to be done the right way." She said as we both rushed to her car and got in.
"I can't blame them for wanting to get revenge," I said lowly as Rosemary pulled out of the parking garage.
"I can't blame them either, I would want to get revenge too, but in this situation, the parents don't deserve to have their lives ruined even more by this freak; they've been hurt enough, and not only that, he hurt a lot of more boys who had love ones and families, a lot of young boys who ghost are roaming the world who are stilling waiting on judgment day on this freak soul. So, revenge can't only be held at the hands of the parents." Rosemary said.
"Yeah, I get it," I said, taking out my phone.
"Let me call Red and Kendell."
