CH. 59 "That boy is mine."
(Rosemary POV)
Jamison and I made love. It happened between us.
I was in the bathroom, getting ready for the day, but I couldn't help my face that was getting heated as I remembered what he and I did.
Goodness, my face is so hot.
What's happened was something that made all my feelings for Jamison reach a confirmation.
I love him; I was fascinated with him, and I couldn't deny it anymore. That boy is mine. Finally mine.
We had spent a little time in the morning cuddled up with each other until we finally decided that it was time to get up and start getting ready for the day.
I'm sure that we both wanted to continue being in each other arms longer than the amount of time we spent doing so. Still, of course, responsibilities need to be dealt with, and I am always dealing with my duties as soon as possible.
Jamison knows that as well, and of course, because of that, it just made everything between us even better.
I exited my bathroom and made my way out of my room.
I took a breath, I had no idea if Jamison was still in his bedroom getting ready or not, but I was on my way downstairs.
Where the others will most likely be.
I didn't have to be downstairs already to know that Mona was probably in the kitchen because I know from the routine that's where she most likely was.
She is waiting on us to come down and join everyone.
There was no way that I would hide this from Mona, not that I attend to hide anything from her, but because Mona is like a mother to me. No, scratch that. Mona is my mother, and my mother just knowing from the moment she sees me that I just did it with Jamison would cause me to feel embarrassed.
Not embarrassed that it happened between Jamison and me, but the fact that she would tell that it happened between Jamison and me will cause me embarrassment. I'm sure no child wants their parent to know when they just had sex.
I did a couple of breathing in and out and headed towards the stairs.
"I can do this," I said to myself as I walked downstairs.
I can do this; she probably won't even know.
I heard talking coming from the kitchen, and I walked towards the kitchen opening.
"Good morning," The girls yelled out together.
"Good morning, Rosie. How did you sleep? I got breakfast ready." Mona said, staring at me.
"Uh, I slept fine. Thank you for asking, and great. I am hungry." I said to her.
"Are you okay?" She asked me.
I nodded my head.
Mona came up to me and put her hand on the top of my forehead.
"Oh my, your face is hot. Are you sure you're okay?" She asked me again.
"Yes, Mom. I am fine." I said to her, trying to move her hand from my forehead so I could go sit down and join the others at the table.
"If you're fine, then why are you heated? Oh, Good morning Jamison." Mona said, taking a glance behind me.
She moves her to stare back at me, and her eyes widened.
I knew the realization hit her that very moment as she lowered her hand from my forehead.
"Oh, well. Let's eat breakfast them. I'm glad you two finally joined us downstairs for breakfast." Mona said as she smiled at us.
Her eyes sparkled, and I quickly looked away.
"Wait, what about Rosemary? Is she okay?" Hailey.
"Yes, she is fine. I was just over worrying, but I see that she is okay now, let us not worry." Mona said, and Hailey nodded her head.
"Okay, well. We haven't started eating yet because we were waiting on you two, so come on and sit down." Hailey said. All eager to eat, it's been great since Mona started teaching them some skills.
They've adapted to move objects at any pace they wanted and do many more things as well.
Jamison and I both sat down right next to each other; he looked at me and smiled.
I smiled at him back softly as we both turned our attention away from each other. We noticed that everyone at the table was looking at us.
"Was I the only one who just saw that?" Hailey asked.
"No, we all did, Hailey," Macy said.
"The love birds are showing their feelings today; the ship is sailing," Hailey said, giggling to herself.
I felt my face get even hotter.
"Come on, girls, don't pick on them as you know this is new for them," Mona said.
I could feel my sister staring at me as well; I avoided eye contact and stuffed my mouth with my breakfast.
Breakfast continued, as smoothly as it could, without the girls throwing some giggles here and there at us.
After we were done breakfast, we all headed towards the living room to talk about the updates regarding everything that's been going on.
"So, Hailey, Macy, and Marsha will be staying with us, correct? Even after the funeral?" I asked the girls.
"Yes, I decided to say. I admit it was hard seeing my family, but I can't go up to them and do anything really; I don't think it would be best. I'm not Natalie; I want my family to have closure." Hailey said.
"I agree, there's nothing wrong with what Natalie wanted, but when it comes to my sister and me. I think our families deserve closure; we can't be the same with them like how we were alive. We won't be able to go to school, continue our education and have the careers we were thriving to have." Marsha said.
"I understand what you mean. Mona has been teaching us more about ourselves and the skills we have been able to obtain. I thought that it would be a benefit to us all and to everyone we want to help." I said, staring at everyone.
"What do you mean?" My sister, Red, asked.
"I mean, with our abilities, we will be able to tackle down the cases and get justice for the people cases we are working on; we will be able to bring the criminals down," I said to them.
"I will also be able to help you, sis and Kendell," I said to my sister.
Everyone let my words settle.
"So, kinda like Heros," Jamison said.
"Ah, yeah. Hero's that consist of ghost, spirits, a woman, a man who can see dead people, another woman who is going to be able to, who also hears them and can tell when stuff is going to occur and a kid, who has a strong ability to do many things that we are trying to figure out, but yes. We can be Heros." I said; Red's dog let out a bark.
"Oh yeah, plus a dog on the team," I said, smiling at him, and he let out a happy bark.
"So what do you guys say?" I asked.
"I'm down." My sister said.
"I won't be here full time, and you know the reason why I won't be, but I'll be here part-time and helping as best as I can," Red said.
"I'll help," Kendell said in his soft voice.
"Us three," Hailey said.
"I'm in," Damian, Jamison's father, said.
"You know I'm in," Jamison said.
I turned to look at Mona.
"You don't even have to ask me. I just contacted Natalie through her mind and asked if she would join us in this team, she said yes." Mona said, causing my eyes to widen.
I didn't even ask Natalie if she wanted to join because I would imagine she would like to be just with her family, but her joining is excellent and a surprise.
"Good, that's great. Well, I'm glad that's handled." I said, and everyone nodded their heads, agreeing.
Before I could say anything else, my phone rang.
I answered it.
"Hello, Dr. Lavender speaking. Is that so. Okay, got it. Thanks." I said, ending the call.
I let out a sigh and looked up at everyone shaking my head.
"We just got a case."
