When Sean saw those huge, glowy eyes, it was too late for him to react.
He heard Daveâs wild and violent voice, a huge creature breaking through the water, and his wand falling to the ground.
However, those voices became weaker and weaker, and Seanâs vision suddenly became blurred. He felt his body getting lighter as if someone had hooked his hair with a hook and pulled him up slowly.
âTwo Basilisks? Iâmâ¦â The last thought flashed through his mind, and Seanâs consciousness sank into darkness.
Daveâs voice echoed for a long time.

At night, in the principalâs office, two old men were sitting on armchairs, talking face to face.
âAlbus, Iâve reminded you many times,â Grindelwald said with a serious face, and he twisted his short beard slowly, âWhether the prophecy comes true depends on us and the child. But no matter what, you must remember that some nasty things have awakened.â
Opposite him was Dumbledore, and he looked a little tired. He propped up his right hand and massaged his temple.
âI understand, Gellert. But thatâs not something we can stop. A gap has been revealed between the trance and realityâ¦â
Grindelwald cut him off roughly, âAlbus. Youâre too gentle with those awakened old immortals!â
He took out a crystal bottle from his arms, then uncorked the bottle and poured the transparent liquid inside into Dumbledoreâs other hand. After touching the liquid, the skin on it suddenly became shriveled as if it had been air-dried.
Dumbledore didnât stop his movement. After the liquid fell, his tired expression showed a bit of relaxation, and then he sighed.
âThanks for the potion, Gellert. It makes me feel better.â
Grindelwald snorted coldly, then resealed the remaining half of the crystal bottle and placed it heavily on the desk.
âSuch is the great Dumbledore. In order to liberate a decayed soul, he is willing to use his body to bear down the ancient curse.â He sneered, âDo you think you can already compete with Merlin?â
Dumbledore was not displeased in any way and smiled, âGellert. When we were young, one of the most common words you said was, âOh, Merlinâs beard. From now on, I want those children to make the change.â.â
âThatâs still my goal now,â Grindelwald said bluntly.
Dumbledore spread his hands and then changed the subject, âCome on, Gellert. We have to investigate more. The revival of the ancients has been appearing too frequently and Iâm terrified that Merlin will show up one day. God, Paracelsus has given us enough trouble.â
âThatâs because you are unwilling to obliterate him completely and are trying to save an ancient soul that has long been covered in dust. They are no longer the great wizards they were once known for!â Grindelwald said loudly, âIf you die from your own mercy one day, donât expect me to mourn for you.â
âThat would be great. Iâm not asking much, but can you throw a few packs of Cockroach Clusters candy on my grave later?â Dumbledore looked at him.
Grindelwald said angrily, âI will catch hundreds of live cockroaches and bury them with you.â
âWell, this topic can be discussed later. We have to discuss the current situation. During this period of time, I found a pattern, the ancients awakened from that land are all wizards with powerful magic. However, the more powerful they are, the more rational they can maintain themselves. Maybe we can communicate with them.â
Grindelwald sneered, âIsnât Paracelsus strong enough? Do you realize that heâs not in the right mind? They should have slept in the long river of history long ago, and eradicating them from reality is the best way to end it.â
âGellert, your methods are too extreme.â
âNo, Albus. You have been too merciful all along. Anything that threatens the continued existence of wizards should be wiped out.â
âDoes that include Sean?â
Grindelwald suddenly fell silent.
Dumbledore smiled heartily, stood up, turned his back to Grindelwald, and said, âGellert, everything has two sidesâ¦â
He talked about his thoughts endlessly, not noticing that Grindelwaldâs eyes became deep and sad.
At this moment, there was a knock on the door of the principalâs office.
Grindelwaldâs body twisted and turned into another person.
âAlbus? Oh, I didnât know you had a visitor, but I have to inform you thatâ¦â Professor McGonagall looked very anxious. She glanced around the office and at Grindelwald, who had transformed into someone else.
Dumbledore nodded, âItâs okay, this is my old friend. You can speak it directly here.â
Professor McGonagall was a little puzzled. She had never seen this person, but since Dumbledore said so, he should be a trustworthy person.
âSean is gone.â Professor McGonagall took a deep breath and said quickly.
Dumbledoreâs smile disappeared, and he looked at her, âMinerva?â
âJust now, Miss Granger came over. She said that she hadnât seen Sean all day and wanted to ask if he was studying in a professorâs office. Iâve asked every professor, and they didnât see Sean either.â
Dumbledoreâs eyes became serious. He pondered for a while and then said, âI see. Minerva, it would be best if you went back first. I probably know where Sean has gone.â
âYou know?â Professor McGonagall breathed a sigh of relief, âThank God.â
When Professor McGonagall left, Grindelwald returned to his original appearance. He casually leaned back on the chair and said in a relaxed tone, âSean is exactly like me. He probably got curious and ran to The Chamber of Secrets, right? I guess that old Slytherin caught him. Now, Albus. How much sanity can these revived ancients have?â
âWatch your words when confronting one of the founders of Hogwarts, Gellert.â
âCome on. Donât you still have to rely on me to enter that room?â Grindelwald smiled.
Dumbledore glanced at him and finally shook his head helplessly.
