After waiting for a while, the door slowly opened, and an old woman appeared behind the door.
She was short, hunched, and not as tall as Sean. Her knuckles holding the wooden door were pale blue, and her whole face was wrinkled, with veins and age spots can be seen around.
Bagshot squinted at Harryâs face.
âOh, Harry.â It took her a long time to recognize the person before her, and then she shouted happily.
Harry nodded and said, âMs. Bagshot, this is Daisy. You know her, right?â
Bagshot looked at Daisy again and then showed a smile, âYes, yes, little Daisy. How are you today?ân/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Daisy nodded, âIâm well, Ms. Bagshot.â
âThatâs good to hear. Oh, come, come in.â Her voice was like a gear that had been rusting for decades.
Bagshot led them into the house, which was dark and full of items lying around crowded, but there was no rotten and musty smell.
âMy mother often comes to clean the house for her and chat with her.â Harry whispered to Sean.
In the lounge, there was only one candle flickering. It was obviously not the first time Harry had come. He took the candle tray and matches from Bagshotâs hand and lit the candle himself.
âHas she forgotten her magic?â Hermione asked in a very low voice, following behind Sean.
âIt seems so, given sheâs already old.â
The lounge finally brightened up. Sean put the cake on the coffee table and looked around.
There are many things piled up here: the wooden cabinets with peeling paint, various silverware and boxes on them, and a basket in the corner containing fruits.
Sean saw something he was curious about. There were two photos there, one of which was a young man smiling at Sean. Another photo is a group photo of this young man and another young man, their arms crossed, looking happy and intimate.
Sean recognized them right away. It was Grindelwald and Dumbledore.
Grindelwaldâs demeanor has not changed at all, whether he is young or old. But it was a different case for Dumbledore. When he was young, he looked more energetic and prideful, not at all like the gentle and quiet headmaster of Hogwarts.
âMs. Bagshot, who is this?â Sean picked up the photo and looked at her, who was enjoying the cake.
Bagshot narrowed her eyes and looked at it. She put down the fork in her hand and stood up.
âThat is my grandnephew and his best friend,â she took the photo, âyou should all know each other. Itâs Gellert and Albusâ¦â
Hermioneâs eyes widened with disbelief while Harry whispered to Sean, âIt seems Ms. Bagshot is having trouble recounting her memories.â
Sean nodded, âWell, sheâs old.â
Bagshot took the photo and sat back on the chair, âHow long ago was that? Seventy years? Eighty years? Or even longer?â
âDo you remember what happened back then?â Sean quietly moved to Bagshot.
Just now, Dave said to Sean.
âThereâs a weird brain on the shelf.â
When entering Godricâs Hollow, Sirius mentioned that a Daily Prophet reporter had recently come here. Dave issued a warning, and he reacted immediately. Sure enough, a beetle stood on top of that shelf.
Sean picked up a silver cup, pretending to be curious, and after playing with it a few times, he stretched out his hand suddenly and dunked the beetle into the cup.
âSean?â His movement was a bit loud, and Harry and the others looked at him.
âSorry, Iâm being clumsy.â He smiled apologetically.
After they turned around, Sean covered the shelf and took out a glass bottle.
Naja got out from behind him, narrowed her body, and got in through the slit of the silver cup. It stopped the beetle that was trying to fly away and slipped back into Seanâs hands.
Sean threw the beetle into the glass bottle and plugged a cork into it. After finishing all this, he leaned against the shelf.
Bagshot made no reaction, and she continued to speak slowly.
âWhen the Dumbledores moved in, I was impressed. Kendra and her children looked gloomy, and I greeted them with my homemade cauldron cakes. No one could say no to cakes, right? But Kendra turned me away the first time we met.â Bagshot took a spoon of the cake.
âShe also needs someone to talk to. She always talks to me about things back when Iâm not this old. It was quite sad; I was the only one in Godricâs Hollow who could talk to her before she passed away.â
Kendra is Dumbledoreâs mother.
âAfter she died, Albus became the breadwinner of the family. Both I and Albusâ relationship as a neighbor are very good. I still remember the paper published by Albus at that time. Heâs a genius, isnât he? Just like my grandnephew.â
She was fond of reminiscing about the past, but she would always forget something, and then she would think about it for a long time. She talked a lot about Dumbledoreâs past and finally mentioned the summer when Dumbledore and Grindelwald met.
Hermione looked skeptical, Harry was getting sleepy, and only Daisy was still curious.
âGellert is also brilliant,â Bagshot said in an old voice, âThey quickly became good friends who talked about everything. They often met at my place, and I would also tell them about the history of magic. Both of them are very curious about the ancient history of magic. They once asked me a story about Herpo the Foul.â
âHerpo The Foul?â Sean frowned.
This is probably the first famous dark wizard in history. He invented a lot of dark magic. There are rumors that he was the first Parseltongue and the first person to hatch a basilisk. It was interesting that Dumbledore and Grindelwald studied the history of Herpo the Foul.
Bagshot continued, âThen, for some reason. The two of them seemed to have quarreled, and my grand-nephew left with a strange expression. Not long after, Dumbledoreâs family moved away. Itâs a pity knowing that they had a good relationship.â
Sean was thinking about every bit of information that was presented. But Bagshot stood up in a hurry as if she suddenly remembered something.
