Chapter 227 What the hell, so irresponsible!

"But how can you even say that Michael only likes you because he wants to get inside your pants? Now, you’re just looking down on him after all the things he had done for you" Jenny snickered.

Amanda rolled her eyes at Jenny and said, "Come on, you know deep down that one of men’s objective of pursuing a girl is to get inside their pants. There’s no such thing as a man who would like a girl because of what you are or because of your personality. If they don’t even have that goal in their mind, then they should just become a priest instead and stop wasting our time"

"Enough about me, why are you still here Jenny? Aren’t you suppose to be on your way to your place now? The update on the game would be over soon" Amanda said after she took a sip of her coffee.

"Geez, you just want to be alone with Michael don’t you? Besides, we’re already living together because of all the things happening to you lately, so we’ll go back together. Don’t worry, just act like I’m not even here when you decide to bring him back here" Jenny shamelessly said while shrugging her shoulders.

Ding!

Amanda rolled her eyes towards her, then she saw a new message from Michael on her phone.

"Ohh, he said he’s almost here"

Amanda slowly stood up and stood before the mirror in the room and started fixing her clothes.

Jenny stared at her friend with a raised eyebrow and shook her head while thinking, ’Since when did Amanda started liking Michael? I thought she doesn’t like him from the way she had treated him all this time’

"Stay here," Amanda said to Jenny and left the office, as she made her way towards the front.

Meanwhile.

Michael parked his car on the parking lot beside the cafe, and got down from it and made his way inside.

"What’s up Michael?" another regular customer who is a guy called out to him the moment he walked out of the cafe and saw Michael.

"Hey Major, going home now?" Michael said to the man.

"Yeah, just bought two Iced Coffee for me and my wife, and the update would be over soon so I’m heading back first. What about you? You came late today" Major said.

Michael laughed and said, "I just came to drop by and say hi to Amanda"

"Uh-huh, later then! Good luck with her!" Major playfully clicked his tongue at Michael before walking away.

"See ya!" Michael also said his goodbyes and made his way inside the cafe.

"Hi Michael!" a young lady called out to Michael, while her friends threw flirtatious glances towards Michael.

"Hello there ladies" Michael greeted them with a smile, before turning his head away, followed by a weird expression on his face because he doesn’t even know anyone of them.

’Do I know them from somewhere?’ he thought to himself with a confused look on his face before he arrived in front of the employee who takes orders.

"Hi, I wan- Ohh, hey there Amanda" Michael was suddenly surprised at the person before him, it was because he knew that it was an employee earlier who was manning the station before him.

Amanda scrutinized Michael and said, "So what do you want? Don’t tell me you just came here to say hi?"

Michael didn’t quickly answer her as he turned to look behind him and saw that there aren’t any other customers lining up other than him, then he turned back to Amanda and said, "Well, you could say that because I wanted to see you. Anyway, please give me the usual, Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino"

Amanda looked at Michael seriously and started to process his order.

"That would be five dollars," Amanda said.

"Sure, here," Michael said as he handed the money to her.

Then weirdly enough, Michael didn’t anything after that and turned around made his way towards a vacant table.

Amanda looked at Michael’s back with a frown, as she felt that Michael is somewhat acting weird this time.

’Is he trying to ignore me? What an as*hole’ she thought, feeling quite annoyed at Michael’s behavior towards her.

Some of her employees noticed the abnormality and started whispering to themselves.

"Did you see that? Michael didn’t try to strike more conversations with the Boss and just calmly walked away" a blonde female employee whispered to her coworker.

"I did, did he found someone else? I can understand if he did, after all, the boss had constantly been giving him the cold shoulder since like...day one" a black-haired male employee holding a mop leaned in towards his female coworker and whispered.

Actually, Michael wasn’t trying to ignore Amanda. It was because he quickly noticed that the people following him, followed him all the way inside the cafe, which made him really suspicious as they had never followed him this close before, especially right now as he didn’t want to trouble Amanda with this guys suddenly coming this close to him.

’Why did they follow me all the way inside?’ Michael thought as he started observing the two men who are sitting on the other side of the cafe.

Meanwhile.

"Captain, why did we follow him all the way inside?" Tommy whispered while he would send glances at Michael from time to time.

"I’m feeling famish and thirsty that’s why. Now go over there and order something" Captain replied, which made Tommy really dumbfounded.

"You do know that we should be secretly following him, and not be so obvious about it, right?" Tommy said as he felt that his commanding officer probably woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

"Shut up and just go and get something. What’s the use of being discreet about it when he already knows who we are?" the Captain said while glaring at him.

Tommy then just shrugged his shoulders and said, "If we ever get scolded for this, it’s your fault, not mine, okay?"

"Yeah, yeah, now go"
