42 Family Ties Unraveled Emma couldn’t help but laugh when she saw Nathan’s latest online antics from her office. “Has he lost his mind? This is his proof? It’s laughable, absolutely absurd.”

Morgan, who had brought the posts to Emma’s attention, was equally amused. “Some people actually believe these claims about you seeing other men. It’s farcical. Aren’t you going to counter this?”

Emma remained composed. “Nathan couldn’t have done this alone. Someone’s backing him. We need to find out who.” Her suspicion lingered on Lillian, but she wanted concrete evidence.

Morgari, always one step ahead, presented her findings, “Look at this. It’s quite revealing.”

The evidence of Lillian’s involvement spurred Emma to take action. She decided it was time to warn Alex about his sister’s machinations. Morgan found the idea of Emma disciplining Lillian quite entertaining.

Emma unblocked Alex’s number and dialed him. He sounded exhausted, burdened by the continuous fallout from Nathan’s actions. Another call from Emma was the last thing he needed.

“Remember what I told you last time? Control your people. I’m tired of cleaning up after Nathan. And now, it’s your sister. Last warning, Alex – rein her in, or I’ll have to step in.” Emma’s tone was stern and unyielding before she abruptly ended the call.

Alex sat in silence, pondering the extent of the mess. He hadn’t bothered with Nathan’s so–called evidence, but now he opened the email, finding a recording within.

Listening to Lillian’s proposition to Nathan to target Emma with fabricated photos, Alex felt a surge of anger. Lillian’s reckless vendetta and Nathan’s foolishness were spiraling out of control.

He realized Emma’s patience was wearing thin, and she was giving him one last chance to intervene before taking matters into her own hands.

Without finishing his work, Alex rushed out, asking Collins, personal assistant, for updates on his ex-

wife’s and sister’s recent activities. He raised an eyebrow upon hearing of Lillian’s nightly disappearances.

“Out all night, is she? It seems she’s forgotten where home is after all these years abroad,” Alex muttered, striding out with Collins trailing behind. He was determined to confront Lillian and untangle the lies and deceit trapping his family.
