i heard a violent groan from adrianâs side.
âhiiing, hiiiiing!â
the man frowned, pointing at rian, who nodded eagerly.
âitâs that bastard, right?â
âhe is not a slave. iâll find him his home soon and quickly send him back.â
rian made a more intense whine at my denial. i laughed because he seemed to misunderstand what i said.
ârian, why are you crying?â
âdrop it, throw it away, throw it away.â
rian, who approached me quickly, slammed his head on my lap. i firmly opened my mouth, making eye contact with him, who was about to shed tears.
âdonât throw it away. itâs going home, donât throw it away.â
i glanced at his insinuation gauge floating above adrianâs head. it was almost completely gone.
ânow that there is only 13% left, it will be solved within a week.â
then i, too, would buy that slave. adrian, in my experience, wasnât as ungrateful unlike that arrogant slave.
âexcuse me.â
rather than repaying the favor, he wouldnât be as lucky if he hadnât taken my money bag.
âwhy?â
âwhatâs your name?â
a man who was walking around the inn room with his hand in one pocket looked back at me.
âthereâs no name for a slave.â
âthen what should i call you?â
âjust call me whatever you want. or call me slave.â
i nodded nervously at the manâs sour reply.
âyes, then⦠mr. slave? mr. slave, is it?â
when i called the man who looked like he was going to spend a week on food, he answered, tightening the knot on the hood that covered his face.
âwhy do you call me, master?â
master. it was quite an awkward name for me, who had no taste in that.
âhmm. anyway, i borrowed you for a week for a huge amount of moneyâ¦â
the manâs head tilted when i coughed in embarrassment.
âbutâ¦â
âthen you have to pay for your meal.â
i borrowed him for a week, so i should use him to complete quests. i decided to use him as a worker to find lucas.
âi knew it. you are indeed in love with me.â
what a misunderstanding it must have been for him to see me blush at the awkward relationship we now have as a slave and master. he approached me and raised my chin with his fingertip.
âtake it off.â
âwhat?â
did this man just arrogantly order me?
smiling and stroking my embarrassed face, he opened his mouth again, âdo you want me to take it off?â
the man reached out and tore my collar before i could even answer. with the sound of buttons being ripped off, a hot breath touched my exposed collarbone in an instant.
âi am very surprised that you asked me to pay for my meal.â
the tongue, which was exposed below through the rolled-up hood, was red like a human. i stared blankly at the man leaving a dark kiss mark on my collarbone.
âthis is⦠whatâs going on?â
âgrrrrrrrrrâ¦â
i was embarrassed, but i didnât hate it, and i blinked slowly as i looked down at the long eyelashes of the man. but then i heard adrian growling behind me.
âah! rian was watching.â
only then did i realize adrianâs existence and i pushed the man off of me.
âwhat? why?â he raised his eyebrows irritably.
âyou, you, and i⦠that wasnât what i meant.â
actually, i wanted to continue a bit, but adrian, the target character, was watching from behind! i need to get a hold of myself!
the manâs forehead wrinkled with my words and said, âyou said youâd make me work. then what do you want me to do?â
i strode to the sofa table to escape his fierce gaze.
âcome and write this down.â
iâm looking for someone.
name: lucas
appearance: silver hair, purple eyes, very handsome
iâm looking for it desperately.
if you saw the above person, please inform the inn.
â» there is a reward
of course, i didnât write down how much the reward was. recalling the few resos left in my pocket, i presented the handmade leaflet to the man.
âare you looking for a bastard who left? the master has a lot to raise,â he muttered as he scanned the leaflet.
i quickly raised my eyebrows, saying, âwhat are you talking about? itâs obviously a person.â
the man pointed to a portrait i drew recalling lucasâ illustration, and clicked his tongue as if amazed.
ââ¦i have no idea? is this a person?â
âshut up! just copy and draw.â
the man sat down and began copying the leaflets.
swipe.
i soon opened my eyes to a wide pile of leaflets piled up beside the table.
âyour hands are fastâ
âi am a slave. if iâm not fast enough, i go back.â
âthen go out and put it on.â
the manâs yellow eyes narrow at my order.
ââ¦only me, alone?â
âyes.â
âwhat if i run away?â
his invisible mouth covered by the hood seemed to be smiling somehow.
