ââ¦you embarrass me to the end,â Curtis commented with a click of his tongue. He bent down and picked up his clothes that were scattered randomly on the floor. âUgh!â
I got startled by his behavior and grabbed his arm as I asked, âWhy? Are you sick?â
Curtis seemed uncomfortable with me clinging on to him, but he didnât push me away. Perhaps because I â Edith â felt different to him from the usual.
âAre you going to get dressed already? No!â I shook my head and glared at him as I snatched his shirt away, âWe only had one round yesterday because I was so embarrassed!â
Who knew when I would be able to play Edithâs character again and do it with Curtis?
I still have no idea if itâs a bug or an event, but it was clear that it was a once in a blue moon opportunity. Curtis was my favorite character who gave me an unforgettable night in the midst of confusion, and I clung to his forearm.
His face twisted with confusion, ââ¦what?â
âLetâs do it three more times today!â
His forehead crinkled with the three fingers I raised.
âThen, twice?â I tried to negotiate.
His pale face that looked down at me folding my finger, slowly painted with various emotions. I folded a second finger with regret, his expression growing sourer by the second.
âFine, just one more time then!â
ââ¦â
âIâll give way,â I continued with a frown on my face as if I was being too generous, âIf you do it now, you can lose energy, so itâs fine if you eat breakfast before coming back.â
Iâve seen it a lot.
Originally, Curtis was one of the main characters which lasted the longest in those scenes.
âAre you really crazy, Edith? Itâs disgusting.â
However, despite my tearful bargaining, Curtis only stared at me with disbelief and then rose coldly from his seat.
âOh, my pants!â
âWhy are these your pants, huh?â Curtis easily snatched his pants away from my clutch and roughly swept up my bangs as he said, âYoung Lady Abina.â
Seemingly bothered by my constant glances, he pulled up the blanket and covered my face and then released a heavy sigh.
âI was not aware of the young ladyâs obsession with me. You were the one that bound me with the solemn oath between a lady and her knight.â
I regained my composure, but I swallowed my own saliva with his cold voice.
âI like the cold Curtis, too.â
As expected, Curtis was the worst when he pushed people away like that. I rolled my eyes under the blanket and recalled the relationship between âEdith Abinaâ and âCurtis Caballeroâ, which was briefly mentioned at the beginning of the game.
âEdith, who had a huge crush on Curtis since they were children, caught his weakness and forced him to swear an oath as her knight.â
Regardless if Curtis liked Edith or not, the knightâs responsibility in this world was to protect the Lady.
The funny thing was that the knightâs duties didnât end with simply protecting his ladyâs safety. In this world, the knight had to take full responsibility for the comfort of her body and mind over his own.
He comforted me when Iâm down, played with me when Iâm bored, and when Iâm dissatisfiedâ¦
So, until the protagonist appeared and saved Curtis from Edithâs clutch, he was no different from a toy for her.
Edithâs obsession with attempting suicide to monopolize Curtisâ sympathy made him a virgin up to the age where he shouldâve been old enough to be married.
âBut even the young ladyâs mind turned really strange, youâre no longer within my control.â
Critical words fell over me as I wriggled under the blanket. His voice alone was strong enough to convey that he was tired of Edith and didnât want to see her again.
âAs I said, today I am going to be a knight for the saintess who will come from another world.â
A saintess who will save him from his weakness that Edith manipulated for the longest time.
With the main characterâs appearance, Curtis will be extremely relieved now that he could escape Edithâs grasp.
âOoh, ooh, ooh~!â
âBut the saintess shouldâve been me!â
I played this game 10 times.
So, I saved Curtis 10 times too.
âOh, never mind. Itâs about seven times.â
I left Curtis to suffer in Edithâs hand three times to see the bad ending.
As I drew my proud shoulders in embarrassment, I shook my heat to get out of the blanket.
âStill! I saw the ending of the Grand Duchess recently, so it hasnât been long since we got married!â
However, my argument couldnât reach him as it was blocked by the finest duvet filled with fluffy feathers.
THUD!
Only after Curtis already left the room that I managed to escape, burning the fighting spirit as I accidentally threw myself to the floor.
âUgh! Iâm so annoyed that I canât do this!â
I should just log out and play as the main character.
Iâve seen Curtisâ arc several times so it already became too tiresome and boring.
Without much interest in Edith Abina, I called out the system window without hesitation.
