Meanwhile, Briana had just arrived at the villa.

When she opened the door, she saw Hector, which surprised her.

“Why are you here?”

Hector smiled and said gently, “It’s been a while. I have an announcement in Bridenville, so I came to stay for a night. I didn’t know you were coming. I’ll leave later if it troubles you.”

Before marrying Maxim, Briana used to be a behind-the-scenes agent for a while. Hector was one of her artists, and he was also the one who worked the hardest.

Briana admired Hector a lot, and the two were friends apart from their business relationships. Though he wasn’t her artist later, Briana found him a top agent in the industry, and he became more and more famous in recent years.

Knowing that Hector’s family was going through a difficult time, Briana gave him the key to the villa and told him he could come and stay at any time.

Then Briana married Maxim and focused entirely on fixing Maxim’s legs, so she gradually forgot about this.

“It’s fine. It’s getting late, and your face attracts everyone’s attention when walking on the street.

Staying in a hotel won’t do you good. Leave tomorrow.”

Seeing Briana going upstairs with her luggage, Hector walked over to her and said, “Let me help you.”

“It’s fine. It’s not heavy at all.”

“Are you going to move in here?”

There was a hint of caution in his tone, but Briana did not notice it. She nodded. “Yes. So, it may not be convenient for you to come and stay from now on.”

“I see. I am already grateful to you for letting me live here all these years for free.”

Seeing his serious face, Briana could not help but smile and say, “You are now the best actor. I’m sure you can afford ten villas like this.”

Hector smiled. He had already bought the villa next to hers, but he liked it here, because she had once lived here.

“You want coffee? I’m making some.”

“Sure. But I’m going to go up and take a shower before that.”

“OK.”

After helping Briana carry her luggage upstairs, Hector smiled and went back to the kitchen to grind the coffee beans.

No sooner had he made the coffee than the doorbell rang.

He went to the door, looked through the peephole, and was surprised at once.

It was Maxim, the CEO of the Yoder Group!

Maxim’s face was frequently in the financial magazines these days, so Hector recognized him at once.

Moreover, Hector recently had a movie financed by the Yoder Group.

Hector thought, “How come Maxim is here?

“Is he here for Briana?

“Yet I don’t think their paths will cross.”

While Hector was lost in thought, Maxim at the door had lost his patience and rang the doorbell several times more.

Finally, the door opened.

However, the one who opened the door was not Briana, but a man Maxim had not seen. Maxim figured that this man should be Hector, the trending best actor Rayan had mentioned.

There was a cold look in Maxim’s eyes, and he could hardly suppress his anger. “Where’s Briana?”

Sensing Maxim’s hostility, Hector frowned. “She is taking a shower. Mr. Yoder, what do you want with her?”

Maxim sneered.

He said word by word coldly, “I’m her husband. What do you think I want?”
