"Thik hai, Abbu. lekin ek baat yaad rakhein, agar ye servant quater mai rahe gi toh mai bhi servant quaters mai he rahunga," Almeer asserted, meeting his father's gaze with determination.
His father's shock was palpable, but Almeer was resolute. He hadn't intended to take such a drastic stand, but seeing his father's willingness to degrade Aynoor by relegating her to the servant quarters was a line he couldn't let slide. He needed to assert that Aynoor was his wife, regardless of the circumstances surrounding their marriage. Allowing emotions and immaturity to dictate his actions would only jeopardize Aynoor's well-being. He couldn't stand by and watch her suffer at the hands of the others in the haveli, only to be discarded later. Aynoor was his responsibility, and he was committed to standing by her.
"Toh ab tum iss ladki k liye apne baap ko zaleel karo gay?" Dilawer Khan's voice carried a weight of hurt, momentarily causing Almeer to waver. But a gentle tug at his sleeve from Aynoor steeled his resolve, hardening his expression into stone.
"Abbu mai jaan se zyada aapse muhabbat karta hu aur aap ki izzat bhi. Isiliye i'm trying to stop you from doing something you'll regret later," Almeer stated, meeting his father's gaze with sincerity. His attention momentarily shifted as Aynoor hurried off, prompting him to follow her, but his father intercepted him.
"Ye ladki tumhari biwi nahi hai. Wani mai aayi ladkiyon ko biwiyon ka darja nahi dete!" Dilawer Khan seethed, his tone laced with anger. Almeer offered a slight smile to his father before retorting, "Kon kehta hai?"
"Hum!!! ye riwayat is gaon mai sadiyon se chal rahi hai. Aur tum bhi yaha rehte ho....." his father's words trailed off as Almeer chuckled and took a seat.
"Bullshit......" he chuckled, "Haan... thik hai maante hongy is gaon k log in riwaayat ko...lekin mai-" His sentence was cut short as Aynoor returned with toothpaste, her presence drawing disgusted looks from Dilawer.
"Apna haath dein, is se jalan nahi hogi.." she asked for his hand, and he remembered that he had burnt his hand. He had successfully taken one of her pains upon himself, and now she was here, treating him. An unknown wave of emotions surged through him.
"Oyee ladki!!!! Daf-" Dilawer's sentence was cut off abruptly. For the first time in his life, his son had disrespected him to such an extent.
"Yaha se bhi laga do saare haath mai jalan horahi hai," Almeer pouted, looking at her. Dilawer Khan's fury reached its peak, and he wanted to unleash his rage upon her skull. She nodded in response, indicating that she understood. There were so many things she wanted to say, but Almeer could sense that it was difficult for her to keep quiet, perhaps because of his father's intimidating presence.
"Almeer!!! mai tumse aakh-" Almeer cut him off once again.
"Abbu, abhi meri baat mukkamal nahi hui hai, toh mai keh raha tha k, baat agar is haveli aur is gaon mai rehkar yaha k asuul follow karne ki hai toh," Almeer looked at Aynoor, who was coating his hand with toothpaste while blowing on it continuously. Her cuteness made him smile as he continued, "Toh hum dono yaha nahi rahenge." He declared, and Dilawer Khan was taken aback.
He had already lost his eldest son, and he was not going to lose another. He felt hatred towards Aynoor because only for her Almeer was against him today. Yet, seeing the determination in his son's eyes, he couldn't help but feel a pang of regret.
Dilawer Khan's tone was a mix of resignation and anger, knowing that his son was now beyond his control.
"Tumhara jo man hai wo karo!!"

Khanum took Yazdaan out of the dining room because she did not want him to see that face of his father, and most importantly, she did not want him to witness Almeer's rebellious side, fearing it might affect his impressionable mind. Almeer and Yazdaan shared a deep bond, and Khanum wanted to shield Yazdaan from any turmoil.
Now, Yazdaan was drawing something in Khanum's room when he asked her, "Aynoor yaha kitne din k liye rahegi?" Aynoor looked a little taken aback at his question, but she smiled nevertheless and said, "Ye ghar ab uska bhi hai, wo ab yahi rahegi." Yazdaan's eyes lit up, making her smile even more.
"Toh iska matlab ab jab chahe uske saath khel sakta hu?" he asked with so much enthusiasm. She laughed a little at his excitement. Aynoor, even though she had come into this house to pay for her brother's crime, unknowingly was healing their wounds.
"Haa, khel toh sakte ho.... agar Chote Khan ijazat de toh," she said, acknowledging Almeer's possessive nature. She knew Almeer had acknowledged Aynoor as his responsibility, and he would do everything to make her future bright.
"Wo ijazat kyu nahi denge??"
Yazdaan's innocent question left Khanum momentarily speechless. She struggled to find an explanation that would make sense to the young boy, all the while grappling with the complexity of the situation. Aware of Almeer's protective stance towards Aynoor, she attempted to convey the delicate dynamics at play within their household.
"Kyu ki.... wo dost hai uski. Aur tumhe Almeer se puuchna padega k, kya tum uski dost k saath khel sakte ho ya nahi," Khanum finally responded, her words faltering as she tried to rationalize Almeer's decision to Yazdaan. She inwardly cringed at her own explanation, realizing its inadequacy in capturing the nuances of the situation.
Yazdaan, sensing his mother's discomfort, offered her a compassionate smile. "Maa, aap thak gayi hain araam karlein," he gently suggested, understanding her struggle to articulate a satisfactory response. With a mature understanding beyond his years, Yazdaan reassured Khanum, recognizing her need for rest. As he gathered his belongings to depart the room, Khanum couldn't help but marvel at her son's empathy and wisdom.
After Dilawer Khan left the dining room, Almeer glanced at Aynoor, who hadn't touched her breakfast. Concern etched his features as he realized she hadn't eaten. Gesturing towards their room, he gently urged her, "Noori, tum kamre mai chalo, mai aata hu."
Aynoor shook her head stubbornly, drawing closer to him. Almeer's sympathy deepened as he sensed her fear. "Mujhe nahi jaana, mujhe toh yaha rehna he nahi hai mujhe mere ghar le jaayein," she pleaded, tugging at his sleeve. Almeer sighed, feeling torn. While he wanted to comfort her after the frightening incident, her mention of going home ignited a surge of frustration within him.
"Ye he tumhara ghar hai Aynoor!! Ab bakwas kiye bina kamre mai jaao," Almeer asserted firmly, meeting her gaze head-on. The tears in Aynoor's eyes vanished, replaced by a fiery anger. She resembled an angry bird, her determination evident as she protested, "Nahi, nahi, nahi!! Ye mera ghar nahi hai. Aap mujhe le jaaye!!"
"AYNOOR ALMEER KHAN!!!!! KAMRE MAI JAAO!" Almeer's authoritative voice filled the room, and in an instant, Aynoor vanished from sight as if performing a magic trick.
Almeer chuckled at her antics, running his fingers through his hair before sighing. "Pagleth," he murmured to himself, amused by Aynoor's stubbornness.
As he made his way to the kitchen, the workers greeted him with respect and politeness, a stark contrast to his father's demeanor. One of the older ladies, noticing his presence, inquired, "Chote Khan, aapko kuch chahiye?"
Almeer smiled warmly, nodding in response. "Aap Guley se keh dijye ga k fruits, juice aur kuch snacks mere kamre mai le aaye," he instructed, knowing Aynoor's dinosaur-like appetite. The other workers observed in surprise as Almeer interacted with them so kindly, a departure from his father's usual attitude towards the servants.
Almeer opened the door to his room and scanned the space, searching for Aynoor. Spotting her dupatta peeking out from behind the bed, he approached quietly, finding her seated with a puffed-up face. She wasn't in tears, but her hands were fiercely twisting the edge of her dupatta, a sign of her agitation. Almeer gently cleared his throat before settling on the floor beside her, causing her to startle at his presence.
"Kya chahiye aapko??" she snapped, her cheeks flushed with anger as she glared at him. Almeer couldn't help but smile at her fiery demeanor, finding her adorable even in her fury.
"Naraaz ho?" he inquired softly, his eyes full of warmth as he looked at her. Aynoor raised a skeptical eyebrow, her expression reminiscent of an annoyed aunt, but Almeer couldn't help but admire her even more.
"Mujhe aapse baat nahi karni jaaye yaha se!" she declared, attempting to kick him out of his own room. Almeer chuckled, though he understood her frustration.
"Par batao toh maine kiya kya?" he asked innocently, though he already knew the answer.
"Kya kiya?!! Aapko nahi pata aapne kya kiya??" she retorted, her gestures becoming more animated as she spoke, her hands emphasizing each word with fervor.
"Pata hoti toh kya mai puuchta?" Almeer replied, feigning innocence as he struggled to suppress a smile.
"Abhi bahar aapne mujhe ghar lejaane se inkaar kiya!! Aur phir aapki itni himmat k aap mujh par, Aynoor par chilaaye!! Kaise karsakte hain aap aisa?? Aur puucho toh kehte hai k maine kya kiya? wah!!!" Aynoor's words tumbled out with indignation, her gestures reflecting her frustration. Almeer found her display amusing, almost reminiscent of typical Asian wives he'd seen in family dramas.
"Aur toh aur mai kuch khaa bhi nahi paayi!! Bhook se bura haal horaha hai!" she added, shooting him a glare that could pierce steel. Almeer's smile grew, ready to apologize, but just then, the door knock, interrupting their moment.
Almeer glanced at the door, then back at Aynoor. "Yahi ruko, bookad sherni," he said playfully, a teasing glint in his eyes. He rose from his seat and made his way to the door, where Guley handed him the tray. With a nod of thanks, he closed the door behind him.
Almeer watched as Aynoor's demeanor softened, her eyes alight with anticipation as he approached with the tray. He placed it in front of her with a gentle smile, inviting her to partake. She hesitated for a moment, feeling a pang of embarrassment for her outburst earlier. Yet, despite her lapse in composure, Almeer had still brought her food.
As she tentatively picked up a sandwich, Almeer's playful tone broke the silence, "Arey ab saara dhyan khaane ko he dogi?? meri galatiyan nahi ginwaogi??" His smile was gentle, but there was a hint of curiosity in his eyes. Aynoor's cheeks reddened with embarrassment as she shook her head, offering a soft smile, "Nahi, maaf kiya aapko." Her words were almost a whisper, a genuine attempt to apologize.
Almeer's smile faded at her response, replaced by a sincere curiosity. "Kyu?" he inquired gently, his eyes searching hers for an explanation.
"Kyu k aapne mere liye khana laaya, aapko pta hai jab mai ghar mai kissi se zor se baat karti thi na, amma jaan kehti thi, 'jaao ainee kamre mai jaao aur shaam tak bahar mat aana' aur phir mujhe khana bhi nahi deti thi. lekin aap toh ache hai," Aynoor explained, her voice laced with a mixture of gratitude and nostalgia. Almeer listened intently, his expression softening as he understood her past experiences.
"Maine tumpe chillaya Aynoor, aur is baat ki maafi mujhe maangi hai. Lekin meri ek baat dhyaan se suno, kabhi kissi ko bhi khud se badtameezi, ya tumse oonchi awaaz mai baat nahi karne dogi tum, aur agar koi kare toh jab unhe unki galati ka ehsaas na ho tum unhe maaf nahi karogi, mujhe bhi nahi. Samjh?" Almeer's tone was firm yet gentle as he imparted his advice to her. Aynoor nodded earnestly, her eyes reflecting her understanding and gratitude towards him. She found solace and safety in his presence, trusting him more with each passing moment.
Almeer was surprised when Aynoor started eating her sandwich and gave him an 'hmph', turning her head in the other direction. "Noor-" he began, but she cut him off with a firm, "Maafi maange!!"
He smiled and gently turned her by the shoulders until she was facing him. Catching both of his ears and bowing his head slightly in front of her, he said, "Noori, mujhe tumpe chillana nahi chahiye tha, meri galati hai maaf karo. I'm sorry." Her giggle in response warmed his heart, and he silently vowed to keep her happy forever.
"Jaayein maaf kiya aapko," she replied with a smile, accepting his apology wholeheartedly.

After lunch, Zoya remained secluded, but the rest of the family gathered. Dilawer Khan headed to the farms to handle some critical matters. Almeer also departed for the farms to tend to his responsibilities, as he would be returning to college in a few days. He wanted to sort out some matters on his side of the farm, for which his father had entrusted him with authority when he turned seventeen.
Before leaving, Almeer instructed Aynoor to stay in the room and not go out unless Khanum called her. Aynoor protested, but Almeer promised to buy her lots of chocolates and gifts, eventually convincing her to agree.

Aynoor was in their room when Yazdaan knocked on her door. She got up and adjusted her dupatta, another thing Almeer had taught her. Opening the door cautiously, she peeked out to see Yazdaan smiling at her, holding a huge bag.
"Helloooooo!!!!!!!" he exclaimed excitedly. Aynoor eagerly opened the door wider, giving him space to come in. She smiled at him, relieved that he had come.
"Shukar hai tum aagye, mai toh akele akele pagal hone waali thi," she confessed. Yazdaan chuckled at her melodramatic tone and replied, "Toh tum aajati naa, mera kamra is kamre k side mai he toh hai."
Aynoor let out a big sigh and explained, "Aalam ne mujh se kaha tha k mai bahar naa jaun." Yazdaan looked puzzled, asking, "Aalam kon?" Aynoor laughed at his confusion, "Aalam, Almeer ji ka nick name, abhi abhi socha hai maine," she teased.
Yazdaan pouted, "Haan toh, mujhe kaise maalum hona tha. Tum bhi jabse aayi ho mere bhai k kamre mai kabza kar liya hai," he retorted, trying to come up with a stronger comeback.
"Mai apni marzi se toh nahi rehti unho ne dhamkaya hai mujhe, yaha se bahar tabhi jaati hu jab wo saath ho," she exclaimed in frustration. Yazdaan finally gave her a sympathetic look, understanding how boring it must be to stay confined to one room, especially with someone like Almeer who wasn't exactly fun-loving. He offered, "Toh kya tum mere kamre mai rehne nahi aasakti?"
Confused, she asked, "Kyu?" Yazdaan sat down on their bed, opening his bag and pulling out drawing supplies. With an amused expression, he looked at her and said, "Budhhu ladki, tum toh bhai se kitni choti ho toh tumne unse dosti kaise karli?? Aur unki dost banke tum unke kamre mai rehti ho aur yaha kitna boring hai, wo toh kuch khelte bhi nahi." He motioned her to come to bed, where he took out a drawing book and colors for her too.
She sat down with him, taking the colors. These were so much better than what she was used to; she usually used pencil colors, while Yazdaan had all kinds of paints.
"Baat toh tumhari sahi hai, lekin ab mai kya karu?" she asked. Yazdaan looked at her, then pinched his chin as if trying to think of a solution.
"Ruko sochta hu," he said, prompting her to give him some time to think. As she started taking out paints and dipping her fingers in them, she almost dropped the container of color when he suddenly exclaimed, "HAA!!!! Tum bhai se kaho k tumhe mere room mai shift kardein. Phir hum dono din raat khelenge!! Yaha toh LED bhi nahi hai mere kamre mai, uspe hum cartoon dekhenge roz. Kaisa laga mera plan??" He looked at her proudly, pleased with his solution.
She looked at him with wide eyes, excited at the mention of cartoons. Rapidly nodding her head, she exclaimed, "Kamal!!! Thik hain phir aaj wo aajaye mai unse kahungi."
"Arey gadhi ye paint brush use karo kya ungli duba duba k paint kar rahi ho??" Yazdaan mocked her, laughing. She looked at him with rage and retorted, "Paint brush se toh roz karte ho, aaj ungliyon se karo." She suggested, and at first, he denied, but soon enough, he started to enjoy painting with his fingers too.
Yazdaan dipped his fingers in the paint, and both of them began to paint. "Ye tumne kya banaya hai??" Yazdaan asked, looking at her drawing, which depicted a scenery with a farm, rabbits, ducks, swans, and roughly drawn figures of a girl and a boy. Aynoor looked proud of her creation as she replied sweetly, "Ye mai, aur ye Aalam ji hain."
After they finished their drawing, they started to get bored. That's when Yazdaan suggested, "Mere room mai chale?? Cartoon dekhenge." Aynoor eagerly nodded, momentarily forgetting about Almeer, and they started to collect the mess they had made on Almeer's bed. As Yazdaan was about to take Aynoor's painting too, she stopped him, saying,
"Nahi, isey rehne do, ye mai Aalam ji ko dikhaungi." She said excitedly, while he nodded, and both of them skipped to Yazdaan's room.

It was almost dinner time, and all the family members except Almeer, Yazdaan, and Aynoor were seated at the dining table. Guley was just serving the dishes when Almeer entered the dining room. His gaze went towards Dilawer and Khanum, and he passed them a quick smile. Carrying a few paper bags in his hand, he was about to head to his room to get back with Aynoor.
"Tum kaha chale?" Khanum asked him, and he stopped, looking towards her with a smile. "Mai zara fresh hojaau aur Aynoor k bhi leke aata hu," he replied, knowing that no one else was going to call her for dinner.
As he moved towards his room, he heard sounds of giggles and childish chatter. A smile touched his lips, but it faded away when he realized that there were only two children in this house, and the noise was coming from Yazdaan's room.
He didn't know why, but his feet moved on their own until he reached Yazdaan's room. There, he saw Aynoor and Yazdaan seated closely on the sofa, laughing and giggling. However, what bothered him was that her dupatta lay on the floor, and both of them seemed too comfortable with each other. Realizing his own thoughts, he slapped his face mentally,
"Lanat hai tujhpe Almeer Khan, kaisi bakwas soch raha hai."
He stepped into the room and cleared his throat, his eyes drilling into Aynoor's head. The moment Aynoor's eyes met his, she remembered. The color drained from her face as she quickly got up and pointed towards Yazdaan, who was still trying to process the situation.
"Ye mujhe zabardasti yaha laya hai, maine toh kaha b tha par isne kaha aap kuch nahi karenge aur ye bhi k ye aapse nahi darta aur aap issey kuch nahi bolte aur ye bhi-" she was silenced by Yazdaan's interruption.
"Kya kya kyaaa?? kya bol rahi ho chudail?? Jhooti makaar!!" Yazdaan also started panicking.
"Jhoothi kissey bola tumne?? Daaku kahi k!!" Yazdaan was about to retort when Almeer's booming voice cut through the tension, commanding silence.
"CHUP! BILKUL CHUP!" The room fell silent, Almeer's gaze fixed on Aynoor. He wasn't mad at her; he was worried about her. Aynoor wasn't that stupid; she knew she had somehow made a mistake. Now, instead of being angry, he was going to ignore her. And so, the ignoring game began.
Almeer looked at Yazdaan and said, "Khana lag gya hai, jaake khalo." Without sparing Aynoor a glance, he moved towards their room. Aynoor watched him go, fire burning in her eyes, while Yazdaan stood there, unsure of what to do next.
"Kya zarurat thi tumhe bakwaas karne ki? Hogye na wo naraaz." She nudged him in the ribs, and a wince escaped his mouth. He quickly retaliated by lightly slapping her head and then ran away, saying, "Toh maine kaha tha jhooth bolo? Chudail!!"

Almeer entered his room and threw the chocolates he had brought for her on the bed. "Khana hoga toh kha legi," he murmured, and was about to enter the washroom when his eyes fell on the painting resting on his bed. A wave of familiarity hit him. He took the picture in his hand and looked at it, quickly realizing who had painted it because the scenery was something only the two of them shared together.
A small smile grazed his lips, and all of his anger dissipated. He heard footsteps outside, and by the way they were running, he knew it was her. Quickly, he opened his closet, placed the drawing inside, and then went into the washroom. He wanted to know her next move.
Aynoor paced anxiously outside the bathroom door, her mind swirling with worry. When Almeer finally emerged, he expected to find her enjoying the chocolates he had brought for her, but instead, she seemed distant and aloof. With a heavy heart, she mustered the courage to speak up.
"Suniye..."
She said with so much sadness. He wanted to pull her chubby cheeks, but he kept his face flat and ignored her. Almeer was about to go outside when Aynoor held his hands. Without looking back, he said, "Chordo mera haath."
"Nahi, please mujhe maaf kardein. Yazdaan aagya tha toh mai bhool gyi k aapne bahar jaane se mana kiya hai," she said, her voice cracking. She was a pure little soul and couldn't stand anyone being mad at her, especially Almeer.
But, listening to her explanation something stirred within Almeer and he looked at her. She looked like she was about to cry, and he didn't want to make her cry.
"Acha thik hai, maaf kiya," he smiled, and she smiled, the tears that had pooled in her eyes fell, and he wiped her face.
"Dobara kabhi mai tumhe rote hue naa dekhu," he said with a smile, and she nodded.
"Acha dekho, mai tumhare liye chocolate lekar aaya hu," he pulled her towards the bed where the chocolates were kept.
"Arey waah!!! thank you!!" she jumped on the bed, excited.

At the dinner table, Dilawer Khan asked Khanum, "Kaha reh gaya Almeer?" She looked at him speechless because she also did not know the answer to his question.
But Yazdaan did, so he spoke up, "Abbu, woh bhai Aynoor ke saath honge. Woh mere saath khel rahi thi na, toh bhai naraaz hogaye. Shayad woh unhe mana rahi hai." His statement made everyone feel embarrassed as they all contemplated more adult ways of resolving the situation.
Just then, Guley walked in. Khanum had sent her to call Almeer and Aynoor. "Chote Khan bole ke kamre mein he khana khayenge," she announced. Everyone's suspicions turned into belief, while the reality was nowhere near what they had assumed.
»»---->
Almeer and Aynoor were sitting in their room, Aynoor had changed into one of the comfy pyjamas Almeer had bought her. She came out of the washroom, admiring herself in the mirror. Twirling around, she couldn't help but smile at the shiny fabric adorned with blue and yellow duckies. Almeer watched her, almost laughing at her antics.
"Kya kar rahi ho yaar? Tumhe aise gol gol ghumta dekh mujhe chakkar aarahe hain," he asked with a genuine smile. Aynoor looked at him, realizing that in just one day he had given her everything she never had, and he didn't even make it seem like a big deal.
She remembered how her mother used to get her something after making her beg for weeks, and then spent the whole day reminding Aynoor that she got it so she couldn't ask for anything else. Well... maybe it was because they had no money. The thought made her look at Almeer. She walked towards him and sat near him on the couch.
"Aap ke pass kitne paise hai?" she asked genuinely curious. Almeer was caught off guard by her question and replied, "Kyu? Tumhe paise chahiye?" he asked, trying to understand the reason behind her sudden question.
"Nahi, lekin agar mujhe kabhi zarurat hui toh kya aapke paas paise honge?" she asked, her upbringing reflecting in her concern. After all, she wasn't from a wealthy background. Almeer understood her confusion and realized she wasn't reasoning properly with her own questions.
"Noori, fikar mat karo. Tumhari har zarurat aur shauk pura karne ke liye mere pass kaafi paise hai. Aur kuch?" he reassured her, offering her comfort. She smiled in relief, and he couldn't help but admire her innocence, finding happiness in such simple things.
"Toh kya aap mujhe gudiya waali dress lekar denge?" she asked with hope shining in her eyes, and Almeer nodded in agreement.
"Kal chalna tum mere saath, mai dila dunga," he replied, already foreseeing a shopping trip in their near future. Aynoor's eyes widened in surprise, wondering why he was not denying her anything.
"Nahi, kal nahi chahiye, Eid pe le dijye ga," she said excitedly, and once again, Almeer nodded in agreement, feeling somewhat helpless against her innocent requests.
"Waise mujhe aapse kuch baat karni thi," she said, trying to adopt a serious tone, and Almeer couldn't help but smile at the sight of the 11-year-old trying to be serious.
"Karo," he replied, not expecting what she was about to say next.
"Mujhe Yazdaan k room mai shift karadein... Mai wahi rahungi," she said, her voice serious but innocent.
[SILENCE]

"YE KYA BEHUDA BAKWAS KAR RAHI HO?!!" Almeer's sudden outburst reflected his shock and anger. He knew she didn't understand the dynamics of their relationship, but her suggestion felt like a slap to his face.
While on the other hand, Aynoor looked at him as if he were the crazy one in the room.
"Dekhein, aap mujhe pehle mile toh maine aapse dosti karli, aur ab mai aap ke room mai rehti hu. Lekin aap toh mujhse kitne bade hai aur mere saath khelte bhi nahi hai aur mujhe bahar bhi nahi jaane dete.... par Yazdaan toh lag bha meri he umar ka hai aur wo mere sath khelta bhi hai aur mere sath cartoon bhi dekhta hai. Islilye mai us k sath-" she was harshly cut off.
"CHUP KAR JAO NOORI!" Almeer couldn't bear to hear any more. He held his head, feeling overwhelmed with frustration. At this point he wanted to cry out loud and wail like a widow. Aynoor looked at him, ready to argue, but he sighed heavily and continued,
"Yazdaan dost nahi hai tumhara! Wo bhai hai tumhara! Aur tum mere ilawa kissi aur kamre mai nahi reh sakti. Kissi.K.Bhi.Nahi," he seethed, his voice laced with anger and disappointment.
She looked at him and dropped another bomb on Almeer's head, "Agar Yazdaan mera bhai hai toh aap bhi-"
"La hawla wala quwat!!!" Almeer jumped up from the couch, as if he had just been electrocuted.
"Kya hua aapko!" she asked innocently, oblivious to the chaos she had caused. He looked at her helplessly and seethed,
"Shaadi hogayi meri,"
She burst into laughter, "Maine toh koi daawat nahi khayi." Her laughter only fueled his agitation.
"Isiliye toh mera Kaleja khaa rahi ho," he murmured under his breath, not intending for her to hear.
But her innocent curiosity prompted her to ask, "Aap mere kon hain Khan?"
He was genuinely taken aback by her calling him 'Khan,' and he couldn't deny he liked it. So, he replied with a smile,
"Ek akela dost hu mai tumhara."
