Literally my haalat rn.
"Kaaahaaaaaann jaaaa raheinnnn hainnn Khaaaaan??" Aynoor's whine echoed in the room as she clung tightly to Almeer. He needed to urgently attend to matters in the fields, but Aynoor's reluctance to let him go made his heart heavy.
"Noori, mujhe bohat zaruuri kaam hai, agar delay karsakta toh kalrleta but please samjho na..." Almeer pleaded, his tone laced with concern. He understood her moodiness but also felt guilty about leaving her alone like this.
"Aapko toh bas mujhse peecha chudana hai! Jaayein!" Aynoor's words were tinged with frustration, her cheeks puffed up in discontent. Almeer sighed deeply, sitting beside her on the bed. Though he remained silent, his eyes silently pleaded with her to understand his situation and not say such hurtful things.
Aynoor pouted, drawing her face closer to his. "Aise bheegi billi ki tarah kya dekh rahein hain?" she asked, her arms folded in mock annoyance. Almeer couldn't help but smile at her playful demeanor.
"Dekh raha hu kaise mujh pe hukum chalaati ho. Shohar naa hogya gulaam hogya mai tumhara," he replied, his eyes twinkling with amusement. Aynoor laughed at his words, her laughter filling the room with warmth.
"Haan toh aur kya? Aap par hukum nahi chalaungi toh kispe chalaungi?" she said innocently, her words melting Almeer's heart. He just wanted to keep cherishing the innocence and love in her words.
Almeer, clad in a blue Kameez salwar that accentuated the color of his electric blue eyes, seemed to radiate an irresistible charm. His presence alone commanded attention, drawing the gaze of everyone around him. His eyes, changed hues with the depth of his emotions.
"It's either me or no one else," he whispered softly, his words carrying a weight of determination. Aynoor looked at him, her expression puzzled by his sudden declaration.
"Hein?" she queried, seeking clarification, but he simply shook his head, his thoughts remaining unspoken.
"Mai chalta hu tumhe kuch chahiye toh mai leta aaunga?" Almeer asked, his tone gentle and caring. Aynoor's face lit up with a smile as she replied, "Pani puri aur cake, blueberry cheesecake," her request was made with a hint of mischief.
Almeer nodded obediently, his commitment evident in his actions. "Toh mai jaau? Ijazat hai?" he inquired, adopting a playful tone reminiscent of a dutiful servant seeking permission. Aynoor chuckled at his antics, waving her hand in a dismissive manner.
"Takhliya!" she responded with sass, prompting Almeer to shake his head fondly at her playful demeanor.

Almeer Khan listened intently as the Murshid of the neighboring village addressed Dilawer Khan. Almeer's demeanor was calm and composed, his creme-colored shawl draped elegantly around his shoulders, exuding an air of authority and wisdom. He sat on a cot, his legs spread out comfortably, his posture reflecting his confidence and presence.
"Murshid Sahab, aap jaante hain hamari uss zameen se nehar guzarti hai, aur is wajah se kitne logon ne usey khareedna chaha," the Murshid stated, directing his words towards Dilawer Khan. His tone was firm, conveying the importance of the land and the challenges associated with its ownership.
Dilawer Khan's response was both respectful and resolute, his demeanor reflecting his determination to reach an agreement while acknowledging Shajar Yusoufzai's wishes. "Hum jaante hai, Shajar sahab. Aur hum bhi aapko muu mangi keemat dene ko tayaar hai, lekin hume wo zameen chahiye."
Dilawer Khan, seated on a chair positioned at the center of the room, held himself with poise, signaling his authority as the leader of their community. The meeting revolved around the potential acquisition of a piece of land belonging to the Murshid's village, and tensions ran high as both parties debated the matter.
"Murshid Sahab, bura na manein lekin pasion ki hume bhi koi kammi nahi, lekin hum kuch aur chahte hain," Shajar Yusoufzai expressed, his words carrying a weight of tradition and expectation, prompting Dilawer Khan to inquire further.
"Kya chahte hain aap?" Dilawer Khan asked, his gaze shifting between Shajar and Almeer, who observed the exchange intently, his expression reflecting a blend of curiosity and apprehension.
"Dekhein mai baat ko zyada gumane ka kayil nahi, mai chahta hu aapke bete ka nikkah meri potii se hojaaye." Shajar's proposal hung in the air, and Dilawer Khan's initial surprise was evident. However, he quickly regained his composure, a hint of sadness softening his features as he addressed the matter at hand.
"Aisa ho nahi sakta k aap wakif naa ho, lekin mere bade beta ka qatl ho chuka hai, aur Almeer ka nikkah bhi..." Dilawer Khan's voice trailed off, his gaze shifting to Almeer, who listened attentively, his own emotions swirling within him. Then, with a sense of sincerity, Dilawer Khan continued, "Haa lekin, mera ek aur beta hai. Agar aapko qubool hai toh thik hai."
"Hum jaante hai, lekin hum chahte hain nikkah Almeer Khan se he ho." Almeer's expression shifted, a mixture of conflicting emotions flickering across his face. He felt the urge to voice his objections, but out of respect for his father and the gravity of the situation, he remained silent, casting his eyes downward, grappling with the patience.
Shajar's persistence in the matter left both Dilawer Khan and Almeer unsettled. Dilawer Khan maintained their family's tradition, explaining, "Shajar sahab, humare yaha dusri shaadiyon ka riwaj nahi."
However, Shajar remained undeterred, emphasizing the importance of the situation. "Lekin, aapki choti bahu wani mai aayi hai, usko toh aapke ghar ki bahu ka bhi darja nahi milega, hone waale murshid ki biwi ka darja usey mile ye toh sawaal he nahi," he argued.
Almeer's temper flared at the implication of Shajar's words. He struggled to contain his frustration, his jaw tightening with tension. The thought of someone dictating his life, and badmouthing his wife, grated against his sense of agency.
Almeer's response was a direct confrontation, his voice commanding authority as he defended his stance. "Itni research karli hai toh yeh bhi pata he hoga k uss he wani mai aayi ladki ko mai apni biwi, apne ghar ki bahu aur hone waale murshid ki biwi ka darja de chuka hu," he asserted, his gaze unwavering.
Shajar chuckled in response, his demeanor unfazed by Almeer's words. Turning to Dilawer Khan, he remarked, "Khaanon ka khoon aur Murshidon ki shaan, waqai hai aapke bete main. Lekin aapne inhe bataya nahi k wani mai aayi ladkiyan gulaamon ka kaam deti hai, biwiyon ka nahi."
Almeer's anger simmered beneath the surface as Shajar continued to speak. Unable to contain his fury any longer, he stood up and approached Shajar, his voice laced with menace.
"Lanath bejhta hu mai tum par aur tumhari zameen par. Dobara meri, Almeer Khan Aafandi ki biwi ka zikar apne khayal mai bhi na karna, warna sochne samajhne ki halaat nahi rehne dunga tumhari."

"Aynoor kahan hai?" Almeer entered the dining room, the atmosphere seemed charged with a mixture of curiosity and concern. His gaze swept across the faces of his family members, all engaged in their dinner, but one absence was conspicuous - Aynoor. The room fell into a hushed silence as Almeer's question hung in the air, prompting everyone to turn their attention to him.
Khanum, with her maternal instinct, was the first to respond, her voice tinged with worry as she admitted, "Hum nahi jaante, Chote Khan." Almeer's brows furrowed slightly in frustration, his concern deepening at the absence of Aynoor.
Dilawer Khan, chimed in with his inquiry, "Kamre mai dekha tumne?" Almeer nodded in response, a flicker of anxiety crossing his features. It was clear that he was troubled by Aynoor's absence.
Amidst the tension, one pair of eyes glimmered with envy and jealousy, their gaze fixed on Almeer.
"Why isn't she here eating with you people?" Almeer's suspicion was palpable as he questioned them, his gaze darting from one family member to another. Khanum smiled in response and calmly replied, "Guley bulaane gayi thi usey lekin usne kaha ki usey bhook nahi, toh humne bhi socha ki bachi ko tang na karein."
Almeer nodded, accepting the explanation, but his concern for Aynoor persisted. Without wasting another moment, he called out for Guley, his voice resonating with authority. "Guley!!" His command echoed through the room, and the servant hurriedly presented herself, as if summoned by magic.
"Ji, Chote Khan?" Guley responded obediently, her eyes wide with anticipation. Almeer wasted no time in getting to the point. "Aynoor kahan hai? Tumne dekha hai usey? Tumse kaha tha na maine uska khayal rakhna," he inquired urgently, his tone demanding answers as he pinned his gaze on the timid servant.
"Ji ji, Woh, Chote Khan, Aynoor bibi chatt par gayi hain. Maine unhe mana bhi kiya tha lekin, woh mujhe he dhamkane lagi ki aapse shikayat laga dengi," Guley rattled off her explanation like a well-rehearsed script. Almeer felt a pang of embarrassment; although Aynoor could be a bit of a handful within the confines of his room, he didn't want everyone to know just how much he spoiled her. Little did he know, the family members were already well aware.
A chuckle escaped from Dilawer Khan as he remarked, "Chalo bhai, aaj humare Chote Khan chatt par dinner karenge."

"Dekh rahe ho na, Billu? Kitne jhoote hain tumhare abba, jaldi bolke raat laga di. Aane do unko unki class leti hu aaj mai," Aynoor grumbled to her plushie, her expressions sour. She was clad in her pajamas, but the occasional chilly breeze made her shiver; still, she paid it no mind, too caught up in her annoyance at Almeer for delaying her.
"Hadd hoti hai, Billu, kitne bure Khan hai mere? Aise kaise koi apni choti si biwi ko akela chord sakta hai?" she continued, as if confiding in her plushie, before sighing dramatically. "Arey, aisa bhi kya kaam jo banda apna promise he bhool jaaye? Aur mera cheesecake," she whined, pulling faces in frustration.
Aynoor's grip tightened around her plushie as the thunder rumbled through the sky, sending shivers down her spine. Despite the chilling winds and the ominous darkness of the night, she remained rooted to her spot on the rooftop, unwilling to retreat to the warmth and safety of her room.
"Thandiii lagg rahi haiii!!" she muttered through chattering teeth, rubbing her hands together in a futile attempt to generate some warmth. Her discomfort only served to fuel her irritation further.
"Haa, hojaane do bimaar mujhe phir aayegi Khan ko akal," she grumbled stubbornly, her resolve hardening with each passing moment. She was determined to teach Almeer a lesson, even if it meant enduring the cold and discomfort herself.
As she gazed at her hands, illuminated by the faint moonlight filtering through the clouds, a wry smirk played on her lips. Despite her discomfort, there was a sense of satisfaction in knowing that her stubbornness would make Almeer suffer. Deep down, she knew that her absence would trouble him more than anything else, and that realization brought a mischievous gleam to her eyes.
Almeer's breath hitched as he gazed at his wife, dressed in soft pink pajamas adorned with bright bows. Her brown hair flowed down her back, shimmering in the moonlight. She whispered softly to her plushie, holding it close. Almeer's heart clenched; he fought the urge to tear the plushie apart.
As he watched her, a sense of tenderness enveloped him, prompting him to remove his shawl and approach her slowly. His steps faltered for a moment, arrested by the sight of her hair dancing in the breeze, illuminated by the gentle moonlight. It was as if time itself had paused, allowing him to appreciate the ethereal beauty before him.
With a composed heart, he turned his gaze upward, contemplating the vast expanse of the night sky. In that moment of reflection, he realized the profound significance of their relationship. He understood that their marriage was not merely a human arrangement but a divine decree, orchestrated by his Rabb.
A gentle smile graced his lips as he pondered the immense power embedded within the simple yet profound words uttered during their nikkah. It was a reminder of the sacred bond they shared, a bond that transcended the earthly realm and connected them on a spiritual level.
(I'm so proud of these words.)

Aynoor felt something warm wrap around her, she did not need to look up, just one breath and his scent filled her senses. She felt warmth filling her insides but she was still mad at him, so she turned her face away from him and he smiled at her.
"Yaha kya kar rahi ho? Bimar hone ka iraada hai?" Almeer asked, his voice tinged with concern. Aynoor remained silent, her silence a palpable barrier between them. Almeer already knew she was mad, but he wasn't about to give up. He sat near her and looked at her, his eyes soft with affection.
"Toh ab silent treatment dengi aap hume?" he asked teasingly, hoping to elicit a response from her. Again, there was silence, but he couldn't help but chuckle at her stubbornness. Despite her refusal to engage, he remained by her side, determined to mend whatever had caused her anger.
He tugged at her plushie, and she resisted, but his strength overwhelmed hers. Almeer settled the plushie in his lap and delivered his lines dramatically, "Iss se toh badi baatein ho rahi thi, aur mujhe dekh k muu bana liya. Ye toh naa insaafi hai," he exclaimed, feigning hurt before letting out a theatrical sigh. Aynoor's response was less forgiving; her glare could have frozen a volcano, yet Almeer couldn't help but smile at her.
As he anticipated, she was gradually melting under his charm. Deep down, she knew he would never let her stay mad at him for long. "Ab ye aankho se postpartum karo gi ya kuch bolo gi bhi?" he teased, wiggling his eyebrows mischievously. Aynoor's response was short and to the point, "Jaayein yaha se," she said, her tone leaving no room for argument. Almeer sighed, realizing he might have pushed her a little too far this time.
"Jis din sach mai chala gaya na phir dhoondti phiro gi mujhe," he joked, but Aynoor felt her heart drop at the thought. Maybe some contribution was of her menstrual cycle; she was feeling unusually emotional. She instinctively held onto his bicep, drawing herself closer to him, and rested her head on his arm, letting out a heavy sigh. Tears welled up in her eyes, glistening with unshed emotions.
"Kya baat hai Noori?" he asked, concern evident in his voice as he noticed her distress. Aynoor sniffed, composing herself before responding, "Kahan thy aap? Aapne toh kaha tha jald aajayengy," she inquired, her voice tinged with a hint of accusation as he glanced at her red nose.
"Toh ye wajah hai aapke gussey ki?" Almeer asked softly, his gaze searching hers for the truth. Aynoor turned her head away slightly before replying, "Nahi, mera cheesecake nahi laaye aap, isiliye," her tone playful but with an underlying seriousness that hinted at deeper emotions beneath the surface.
"Acha bachu?" he replied, not fully convinced by her response, a smile playing on his lips. She shot him a glare in response, but he couldn't help but laugh.
"Ab aapka favourite cheesecake laane k liye mujhe darr darr bhatakna phira toh thoda waqt toh lagta he haina," he said dramatically, his smile widening. Aynoor looked at him with a mixture of exasperation and adoration, her eyes shining with fondness.
"Aap laaye cake mere liye?" she asked, a hint of disbelief in her voice, to which he simply nodded, his own smile reflecting her happiness.
"Bhool sakta hu kya mai?"

"Ye lijye mohtarma aapka pasta," Almeer said, presenting the plate to Aynoor, who sat perched on the kitchen counter, watching intently. Initially, Almeer had contemplated protesting against Aynoor's request for him to cook pasta, but as usual, he found himself unable to resist her persuasions. Thus, there he was, diligently preparing the pasta and now presenting it to her with a sense of accomplishment.
Aynoor had insisted on overseeing the cooking process, much to Almeer's initial reluctance. He had attempted to convince her to stay in the room, but she was adamant about witnessing his culinary skills firsthand. As Almeer navigated through countless online recipes, he finally settled on a creamy pasta, opting for a milder option considering Aynoor's health, despite her initial request for a spicy dish.
Despite the deviation from her original request, Aynoor inspected the pasta with keen eyes, clearly impressed by Almeer's efforts.
"Ahahah Kya khushboo hai, Khan!! Aap toh bawarchi nikle," Aynoor exclaimed, sniffing the aroma of the pasta and praising Almeer's culinary skills. Almeer couldn't help but make a face at her playful comment.
"Aynoor chillao mat!" Almeer whisper-yelled, glancing around to see the workers nearby. Despite their presence, he couldn't suppress a smile at her enthusiasm. The workers, though initially startled by Almeer's unexpected cooking venture, couldn't help but secretly admire his dedication to Aynoor.
"Ab aap itna acha khaana bana lete hai toh mai tareef na karun? Logo ko pata toh chale k mere shohar sarvagunsampan hain," Aynoor remarked matter-of-factly, causing Almeer to blush with embarrassment. Guley, trying to contain her laughter, quickly covered it up with a cough, which only made Almeer's cheeks turn even redder. He sighed inwardly, reflecting on his role as the next 'Murshid' of the village and contrasting it with his current situation of cooking pasta for his mini wife.
"Chalo, Noori tum room mai jaao, mai ye sab lekar aata hu," Almeer suggested, attempting to escape the situation, and Aynoor nodded in agreement, her stomach also rumbling with hunger.
"Thik hai, Guley mere saath chalo tum," Aynoor added, jumping off the counter and earning a disapproving glare from Almeer.
"Guley ko lekar kaha jaana hai tumhe?" Almeer asked sternly, concerned about Aynoor's reckless behavior. But Aynoor just grinned mischievously at him.
"Kaam hai mujhe hai Khan, Guley se," she replied confidently, not waiting for his response, and Guley obediently followed behind. Almeer couldn't help but scoff at her playful sass, shaking his head at the two of them as they disappeared from the kitchen.

"Tadaaa!!!!!" Aynoor screamed in pure joy as the door opened, expecting to see Almeer standing there. However, her excitement quickly turned to disappointment when she realized it wasn't him.
"Tum yaha? Iss waqt?" she asked, curious about the unexpected arrival, but he simply stood there, silently surveying the room.
"Hellooooo," she waved her hand in front of his face, trying to snap him out of whatever reverie he seemed to be lost in.
He had come here after much deliberation, gathering all his thoughts and the scattered pieces of his heart. He was here to pour out his soul to his brother, to confess his love for Aynoor, and to seek penance for harboring such forbidden feelings. He had come to beg Aynoor's forgiveness, to release himself from the burden of unrequited love that weighed heavily on his heart. But as she opened the door and revealed the cozy ambiance of the room, adorned with candles and fairy lights, he couldn't help but feel a pang of sorrow.
The warmth and coziness of the setting were palpable, and he knew instinctively that Aynoor had created it all for Almeer. The sight stabbed at him like a thousand knives. Why was it not him? Why was he not the one for whom she had lovingly prepared this? These questions tormented him as he stood there, feeling the weight of his unspoken love crushing him from within.
"Yazdaan?" Almeer's voice broke through his reverie, and Yazdaan looked up to see his brother holding a tray full of food. In that moment, everything became clear to him.
He observed Almeer closely, the future leader of their village, serving his wife with such care and devotion. It was evident that Almeer and Aynoor were truly meant for each other, and the realization tore Yazdaan apart. He felt suffocated, as if the weight of his unrequited love was crushing his chest.
He knew that both Almeer and Aynoor were living for each other now, while he was the only one longing for their separation because of his love for Aynoor. It felt pathetic, to be consumed by such futile desires.
"Yazdaan!!" Almeer's voice shook him out of his thoughts, and he blinked, realizing that the tray was no longer in his brother's hand. Aynoor was already settling in, serving pasta onto plates, completely unaware of the turmoil raging within him.
"Mai shayad galat time pe aagya," he finally uttered, his voice hollow and devoid of any emotion.
"What do you mean by that? Come on, join us," Almeer urged, swatting his head lightly, but Yazdaan couldn't bring himself to join them.
"Haa, Khan ne khud pasta banaya hai," Aynoor added cheerfully, and Yazdaan couldn't help but admire the joy Almeer brought to her face. He knew he could never give her that same happiness.
"Nahi, mera mann bhar gya hai," he said quietly, not wanting to stay a moment longer. He was coming to terms with the fact that she would never be his, and it was tearing him apart inside.
"Cheesecake toh thoda sa khaa sakte ho na," Aynoor offered, her voice tinged with hope, and Yazdaan felt his heart ache with the desire to give in to her request. But then, his brother's voice broke through his thoughts.
"Haa, we know you like it," Almeer chimed in, his tone filled with warmth. However, the mention of 'we' from his brother was like a knife twisting in Yazdaan's heart, pulling at the last remaining string of his resolve.
"Nahi, mai chalta hu," he said quietly, unable to bear the weight of his unspoken emotions any longer. Without waiting for their response, he turned and disappeared before they could react.
"Ab isey kya hua?" Almeer and Aynoor exclaimed in unison, their confusion evident as they looked at each other. But soon, laughter filled the room, and Almeer closed the door, enveloping them in their own world once again.

"Ye sab, kamre ka kya haal bana diya hai tumne bandariyaa?" Almeer asked, amused by the sight of candles flickering around the room as he enjoyed the pasta he had prepared.
"Isko candlelight dinner kehte hai, Khan," Aynoor replied, as if unveiling the greatest discovery known to mankind. Almeer raised an eyebrow in surprise.
"Tumhe kaise pata?" he inquired, genuinely curious, and she flashed him an evil grin.
"Maine TV pe dekha hai," she said between bites of her pasta, and Almeer sighed, realizing her source of knowledge.
"Ye kya dekhti rehti ho tum TV pe? Padhai pe dhyaan deti bhi ho ya nahi," he teased gently, knowing well that this topic often triggered her.
"Bas na Khan, jab dekho tab padhai padhai karte rehte hain," she retorted, making faces, and Almeer had to bite back a smile. He understood her frustration, but he also wanted to ensure she focused on her studies for a successful future.
"Aynoor, maine tumse pehle bhi kaha hai, padhai k mamle mai koi compromise nahi. Nahi toh maine tumhari koi baat nahi mann-ni," Almeer asserted firmly, his tone leaving no room for argument. Aynoor sulked, pouting in response.
"Haa,haa.. kar toh rahi hu padhai ab kitni padhai karni hai maine?" she retorted, moving to eat her cheesecake.
"Bas doctor bann jao. Phir nahi kahunga tumse padhai karne k liye," Almeer suggested, trying to steer her towards a career path he deemed suitable. However, Aynoor looked at him as if he was crazy and replied, "Mujhe nahi banna doctor, Khan," her tone resolute.
"Kyu kuch aur bann-na chahti ho tum? Tum jo chaho wo padh sakti ho Aynoor, bas I need to make you independent," he explained patiently, hoping she would understand his intentions. But Aynoor appeared confused.
"Par aap toh hai na mere pass toh mujhe kaam karne ki kya zarurat?" she asked genuinely concerned, and Almeer smiled softly.
"Aynoor, waqt ka koi bharosa nahi hota. Aur tum meri zimedari ho and mai chahta hu tumhe agar mere bina bhi rehna pade toh tum reh sako," he imparted his wisdom, but Aynoor didn't respond. Instead, she placed her cheesecake down and retreated to the bed, climbing in without saying another word.
(Reminds me of, Aise zarruri ho mujh ko tum, jaise hawayein saanson ko....)
Almeer was taken aback by Aynoor's sudden emotional outburst. He heard her sobs and immediately rushed to her side.
"Noori??" he called out, pulling her into his arms. Her eyes were red from crying, tears streaming endlessly down her cheeks.
"Aap bhi mujhe chord denge Khan?" she choked out between sobs, her voice filled with fear and vulnerability. Almeer felt his heart constrict at her words.
"Nahiii Noori," he replied, his voice heavy with sincerity. He held her close, offering her comfort and reassurance in his embrace.
"Mai marr jaaungi, Khan. Yaad rakhiye ga," she whispered, her face buried in his chest. Almeer gently lifted her chin, making her look at him.
"Kyu aisi baatein kar rahi ho?" he asked, pain evident in his eyes as he tried to understand her distress.
"Ammi jaan aur Baba ne mujhe chord diya, Khan," Aynoor choked out a sob, and Almeer, who had thought he had helped her move past that pain, felt his heart tighten at her words.
"Aynoor meri jaan......" he called out to her, his voice filled with compassion. She looked at him with tear-streaked face, her pain evident in her eyes.
"Shadaab bhai, Hamdaan bhai aur Zartaab bhai, kissi ko bhi meri yaad nahi aayi. Mujhse milne bhi nahi aaye kabhi," she continued, her voice trembling with hurt. Almeer felt suffocated by the weight of her words, the guilt weighing heavily on him.
"Aapne kaha tha wo mujhe lene aayenge par wo nahi aaye," she complained, and Almeer felt tears sting his eyes, but he fought to maintain his composure. He couldn't bear to see her in pain, so he asked, "Tum jaana chahti ho wapas? Yaha nahi rehna tumhe?" His heart felt like it was being torn apart in his chest.
"Aap jaane denge?" she asked, her tone difficult for him to decipher. Almeer couldn't understand what she was truly asking.
"Aynoor agar tum yaha khush nahi, apne ghar jaana chahti ho, mai tumhe le jaaunga," Almeer said, each word causing a deep wound in his own soul. He had sacrificed so much for her happiness, and if she wasn't happy with him, he would let her go, even if it meant his own demise.
"Lekin ye baat yaad rakhna, waha jaane k baad iss ghar se aur mujhse tumhara koi rishta nahi hoga," Almeer added, feeling her shudder in his arms. He smiled bitterly; this thought had the same effect on both of them.
"Mujhe aapko chord k kahi nahi jaana, Khan. Mujhe afsos hai mere gharwaalon ne mujhe chord diya, par mai unse door khush hu, bohat khush..." Aynoor smiled, resting her head against his chest. "Aapse door mai khush toh kya zinda bhi nahi reh sakti," she confessed, and Almeer smiled softly at her words.
Deep down, he had believed that Aynoor's feelings were merely attachment, a result of their constant companionship. But oh Boy! how wrong he was.

A little update on the author's life.
So, my family has been feeding a stray cat for like the past 3 years and recently because of old age but infection also he was not feeling well. I was thinking of taking him to a vet but recently there was an incident where a cat was killed due to wrong medications and i refrained from taking him and we started feeding him well. Soon we caught on the fact that he had a mouth infection and that's why he could'nt even eat well, what really breaks my heart is that he gets idk some kind of attacks his legs get paralysed for a time being and then he recovers himself and to prevent this we feed him in our laps so whenever he feels the attack coming he has support. We have such a bond that even when he gets an attack when he is out of a walk or something he rushes back here before it kicks in.
So, two days ago a man came here following him, his name is Billu btw and that man told us that he has infection and he said he will take him to the vet and he asked us if he could keep Billu, my mom denied but that man still insisted on taking him to a vet and my dad allowed because he knew the person and he when billu was taken it was iftaar time and I have cried rivers and guess what?
The same man bought billu back vaccinated at the time of Isha saying 'I tried to stop him but he was so resistant he kept running away.' He was forced to bring billu back but he was a kind man he had got medicines for billu and he suggested we give him dry food and my dad bought so much dry food exactly the same day.
We all realized how important he is for us. Also, please take care of any animal you see in need. If you seriously read all of this, I love you.
