*Thud*

Another loud crash reverberated through the house, causing Khanum's heart to skip a beat. "Yazdaan!! Ye kya pagal pan hai darwaza kholein!" she yelled, her voice laced with frustration and concern, but once again, her son remained unresponsive.

The tension in the house thickened with each passing moment as Yazdaan's erratic behavior continued unabated. Khanum's voice rang out in desperation as she pleaded with Yazdaan to open the door, her cries falling on deaf ears.

Since Ali Baksh had dropped Yazdaan off at home, his behavior had taken a sharp turn for the worse. He had been screaming and thrashing about the house, leaving everyone bewildered and deeply worried. Locked away in his room, Yazdaan seemed unreachable, his actions shrouded in mystery.

Khanum, desperate for answers, reached for her phone once more, dialing Dilawer Khan's number in a frantic attempt to seek help. With each passing moment, her anxiety mounted, exacerbated by the sound of yet another crash emanating from Yazdaan's room.

Zoya, sensing the gravity of the situation, emerged from the room with her one-year-old son, Mustakeem, cradled in her arms. Concern etched on her face, she approached Khanum, seeking answers to the chaos unfolding in their home. "Kya hua hai, ye shor kaisa??" she inquired, her voice trembling with worry, as they both awaited Dilawer Khan's arrival, hoping for a resolution to the unfolding crisis.

"Jab se school se aaya hai tab se yahi haalat hai iski, rabb jaane kya hogaya hai?" Khanum's voice trembled with concern, her expression reflecting the deep sadness she felt for her son's condition.

Zoya listened intently to Khanum's words, her own feelings a mix of empathy and frustration. "Toh uss ladki se puuch lein na, usey toh pata he hoga," she suggested, her tone tinged with bitterness as she pointed an accusation at the source of their troubles.

"Usey chot aayi hai, Almeer uske saath hospital mai hai," Khanum explained, hoping to shed some light on the situation. Zoya's demeanor shifted slightly at the news, a flicker of satisfaction crossing her face upon hearing that Aynoor was hurt.

"Kahan hai wo?" Dilawer Khan's arrival interrupted their conversation, his authoritative voice commanding attention as he inquired about the situation. Khanum's face brightened at the sound of his voice, relief washing over her as she rushed to meet him.

"Khan ji, usne khud ko kamre mai band karliya hai. Aap dekhein na..." Khanum's voice wavered with anxiety as she led Dilawer Khan towards Yazdaan's room, hoping that he could provide some much-needed guidance and support in their time of crisis.

"Yazdaan!!!!!!" Dilawer Khan's voice reverberated through the hallway, each pounding of his fist against the door sending tremors of urgency through the air. Yet, there was only silence in response, adding to the growing tension in the atmosphere. Dilawer Khan's brow furrowed with concern as he surveyed the scene, searching for any sign of movement or response.

"GULEY!!" His voice thundered, summoning the housekeeper with an authoritative command."Ji badey Khan. Guley appeared promptly, her demeanor reflecting a mix of apprehension and obedience as she awaited further instructions.

"Is kamre ki spare keys tumahre pass hai??" Dilawer Khan's frustration was palpable, his impatience evident in the way his words seemed to snap like a whip."Ji?" Guley's confusion was evident as she struggled to comprehend his request.

"Duusri chaabiyaan!!! Gawaar." Dilawer Khan's voice rose in exasperation as he repeated his demand, his irritation evident in the sharpness of his tone. "J...ji. laayi." Guley's expression turned to one of fear as she scrambled to fulfill his request, disappearing momentarily to retrieve the spare keys.

"Kya huwa hai isey?? Ali baksh ne kuch bataya tumhe?" Dilawer Khan turned to Khanum, seeking answers to the troubling situation. Khanum recounted the events leading up to Yazdaan's current state, her voice filled with worry and uncertainty. Dilawer Khan listened attentively, his mind racing with concern for his son and a determination to uncover the truth behind his distress.

Just then, Guley returned with the keys in hand, her hurried steps betraying her anxiety as she presented them to Dilawer Khan, ready to assist in any way she could.

The door finally creaked open, and Dilawer Khan and Khanum stepped into the room, greeted by a scene of devastation. Broken objects littered the floor, and Yazdaan lay face down on the bed, unmoving. Khanum rushed to her son's side, her heart pounding with fear, while Dilawer Khan followed closely behind.

"Daani!! bache.." Khanum's voice trembled with emotion as she reached out to Yazdaan, her eyes brimming with tears at the sight of him in such distress.

"Yazdaan, uth jaaayein. Aap hume batayein kya hua hai?" Dilawer Khan's voice was firm yet filled with concern as he gently shook Yazdaan's shoulders, urging him to sit up and face them.

Khanum gasped as she took in Yazdaan's appearance. His face was streaked with tears, his eyes vacant and hollow, a stark contrast to the lively mischief that usually danced within them.

"Bache, huwa kya hai? Kuch toh bataye.." Khanum's voice quivered with worry as she reached out to touch his hand, her eyes pleading for answers. Yazdaan looked up at his mother and then at his father, his expression haunted and tormented, as if grappling with demons they couldn't see.

Yazdaan's question hung heavy in the air, casting a pall of unease over the room. Dilawer Khan and Khanum exchanged bewildered glances, unsure of how to respond to their son's unsettling inquiry.

"Bhai, Aynoor k kon hain?" Yazdaan's words cut through the silence like a knife, his tone tinged with an unsettling intensity that sent a shiver down their spines.

"Ye kaisa sawaal hai Yazdaan? Tum nahi jaante wo Aynoor ka kon hai?" Dilawer Khan's voice betrayed a hint of annoyance, his brows furrowed in confusion at the strange question.

"Maa, aap ne ek saal pehle mujhse kaha that wo unki dost hai. Lekin, uska naam Aynoor Almeer Khan kyu hai? Wo bhai ki kon hai??" Yazdaan's persistence only added to the growing tension in the room, his parents now visibly shaken by his probing inquiries.

As Khanum struggled to find the right words, her son's unwavering gaze bore into her, demanding answers she wasn't prepared to give. Dilawer Khan, sensing the gravity of the situation, spoke up with a tone of authority, hoping to quell Yazdaan's rising agitation.

"Wo.... uski.." Khanum's voice faltered, her eyes betraying the turmoil within her as she grappled with the weight of her son's question.

"Biwi hai wo uski. Jis din wo yaha aayi thi usi din un dono ka nikkah ho chuka tha." Dilawer Khan's words hung heavily in the air, his declaration carrying a weight that seemed to suffocate the room. But Yazdaan's reaction was unexpected, his eyes brimming with unshed tears as he shook his head in disbelief, his gaze pleading with his mother for the truth.

"Abbu mazaak kar rahe hain na?" Yazdaan's voice trembled with disbelief as he turned to his father, desperately searching for reassurance in his eyes. But Khanum could offer no solace, her own expression clouded with uncertainty.

"Nahi, Yazdaan. Why are you acting this way?" Dilawer Khan's voice faltered, his confusion mirroring Khanum's as she struggled to comprehend the depth of theirs son's distress.

"Yaha dard horaha hai." Yazdaan's words were barely a whisper, but they cut through the silence like a sharp blade as he motioned towards his chest, carrying with them a raw emotion that left Khanum on the verge of tears.

"Tumhe bhi lagi hai?" Dilawer Khan's attempt at humor fell flat in the face of Yazdaan's anguish, his question tinged with a hint of desperation.

"Nahi." Yazdaan's response was curt, his gaze fixed on his parents with an intensity that sent a chill down their spines.

As Dilawer Khan and Khanum exchanged looks, a silent understanding passed between them, a shared realization of the turmoil that had engulfed their family. They knew they had to tread carefully, to protect their secrets at all costs, for the consequences of their son's revelations could be catastrophic.

Their thoughts were interrupted by Zoya's entrance into the room, her presence a jarring reminder of the outside world. But before she could utter a word, Yazdaan's next question shattered the fragile calm that had settled over them, plunging them into a state of panic and disbelief.

"Bhai se he kyu? Mujh se kyu nahi karaya aapne uska nikkah?"

"Aise aankhe phad phad k kya dekh rahi ho?" Almeer asked Aynoor, bemused by the intensity of her gaze.

"Dekh rahi hu kaise jhoote makkaar type k insaan hain aap," she replied, her tone laced with accusation as she scrutinized him as if searching for any sign of deception. Almeer couldn't help but be surprised by her blunt assessment.

"Kyu bhyi, maine tumhare sath konsi makkari ki hai?" he retorted, matching her sass with his own.

"Zyada natak karne karne ki zarurat nahi hai," Aynoor shot back, flipping him off with a dismissive gesture. Almeer's eyes widened at her boldness.

"Haa haa kyu nahi? Ab toh natak he lagengy tumhe," he chuckled, taking a seat beside her on the bed.

There was a silence for five minutes before Almeer broke it, sounding almost like a child. "Par maine kiya kya ye toh btao?" he whined, prompting an eye roll from Aynoor.

Gasping dramatically, he moved closer to her. "You did not!!" he exclaimed, annoyance evident in his voice, to which she simply smirked.

"Aap yaha mera dimag kyu khaa rahe hain? Jaate kyu nahi aapki dost hai bahar," she retorted, teasing him. Almeer smirked, catching onto the situation. "Tumhe kahi se jalne ki boo aarhi hai kya?" he asked, a playful glint in his eyes.

Aynoor faced away, feigning innocence. "Kya bol rahe hain aap? Kuch nahi jal raha hai," she replied innocently.

"Kisi ka dil jal raha hai. Khair chordo," he muttered under his breath, though she couldn't hear him.

"Kya phus phusa rahein hain?" she asked annoyed. Almeer smiled wholeheartedly. "Yaha aao," he said, pulling her towards himself, and she complied, her back facing him as he collected her hair.

As Almeer braided Aynoor's hair, the simple act became a moment of intimacy and tenderness between them. With each movement of his hands, there was a silent exchange of comfort and understanding. Aynoor, despite her initial resistance, found herself melting into the warmth of Almeer's presence.

(I fell asleep while proofreading 😭)

"Ab batayeingi mohtarma k itna gussa kyu hai?" his voice softened, but her anger hadn't faded. "Mujhe aapse baat nahi karni," she said, her pout evident in her tone.

Almeer sighed in defeat. "Kyu ladaku vimaan bani hui ho? Meri noori toh aisi nahi hai," he said softly, genuinely saddened by her mood. "Haa, aap bhi toh aise nahi thy. lekin ab hogye hain," she replied, still pouting.

Almeer's fingers continued to skillfully weave through Aynoor's hair, his senses lost in the comforting aroma of his shampoo that emanated from her locks. A smile played on his lips as he savored the familiar scent, finding solace in its familiarity.

"Acha, tum batao toh maine kiya kya hai?" Almeer asked, breaking the peaceful silence as he glanced at Aynoor with a gentle expression. "Mai tumhe shopping le chalu ga, aur jo bologi dilau ga. Ab btao."

Turning around to face him, Aynoor's pouty expression drew a chuckle from Almeer. Her innocent question sparked a warmth in his heart, igniting a sense of joy within him.

"Aapne kaha tha aap mere akele dost hai, toh aap ki koi aur dost kyu?" she inquired, her curiosity evident in her voice and expression.

The question resonated deeply with Almeer, filling him with a sense of gratitude for the bond they shared. He gazed at Aynoor with fondness, appreciating her innocence and sincerity.

"Tum kya bol rahi ho, Noori?" Almeer sought confirmation from her, his eyes reflecting genuine curiosity.

"Wo Hania didi jo abhi...." Aynoor trailed off, her gaze drifting away, unable to meet Almeer's eyes. Almeer couldn't help but smile at her jealousy, finding her adorable.

"Wo meri dost nahi hai. Aur tumhare jaisi koi aur dost nahi hai meri. Aur na he kabhi hogi. Samjhi?" Almeer reassured her with a tender smile, his words filled with sincerity and affection.

"Toh phir wo kon thi?" Aynoor asked again, her curiosity piqued, her eyes searching his for an answer.

"Koi bhi nahi," Almeer stated firmly, leaving no room for arguments. Aynoor nodded in understanding, accepting his assurance.

He gently held her hand, his touch comforting, and asked, "Doctor ne kaha hai tumhe aaj raat yahi rehna hai, tum rahogi ya ghar chalogi?" Aynoor felt herself melting at his tender gesture.

"Ghar jaana hai mujhe," she replied softly, expressing her desire to go home.

"So gya kya wo?" Dilawer khan asked Khanum, sitting on the living room sofa. Khanum sat beside him with a sigh.

"Maine usey tranquilizer de diye hain. Kuch ghante sota rahega," she replied, looking at her hands.

"Ye fitoor iske dimag mai aaya kaise?" Dilawer khan asked with concern. Khanum sighed deeply, her expression filled with sadness and fatigue.

"Rabb jaane. Pata nahi Almeer ko pata chalegi toh kya hoga," she lamented.

Dilawer khan shook his head. "Nahi, Almeer se ye baat chupi rahe toh behtar hai." Zoya, who had joined the conversation, smirked in agreement.

"Abhi toh ek saal he hua hai iss ladki ko yaha aaye, aur dono bhaiyon ke beech aagayi," Zoya taunted, and Khanum looked at her with wide eyes.

"Kya bol rahi ho, Zoya? Bachi hai wo, tum jaanti ho wo aisi nahi hai. Aur rahi baat Yazdaan ki, wo umar ke aise modd par hai. Sambhal jaayega," Khanum said, trying to make her understand, but the mocking expression on Zoya's face remained evident.

"Mujhe toh nahi lagta. Khaano ki shiddat se yeh poora gaon wakif hai. Aakhir Yazdaan mein bhi Khan khandaan ka khoon hai," she taunted, subtly touching upon the sensitive side of Dilawer Khan too.

"Zoya!! Woh bacha hai, aur waqt ke saath hum use ehsaas dilayenge ki woh ladki uske liye kaabil-e-ehteraam hai," Dilawer Khan's voice was authoritative as he reprimanded Zoya. He was reminded of the past challenges he faced.

"Khan ji, hum Yazdaan ko.............," Khanum suggested, and Dilawer looked at her with wide eyes.

"Pagal toh nahi ho gayi ho tum?" Dilawer Khan yelled, but deep down he knew this was the only solution.

"Guley! Guley!" Almeer called Guley as he entered the haveli with Aynoor hanging onto his right shoulder.

"Ji, Chote Khan," Guley came running to him, and he handed her the shoppers. There were almost 10 of them, and he said, "In do mein fruits hain, abhi salad bana ke mere kamre mein le aao. Ye kapde Noori ke wardrobe mein rakh dena sahi se, aur ye chocolates bhi wahi rakh dena."

He gave her non-stop instructions, and she nodded with a smile, seeing how much Almeer's world revolved around Aynoor. "Ji, thik," she said obediently. As she was about to move away, he added, "Uske liye garam doodh bhi le aao." She just nodded. Aynoor, who was still clinging to his arm, made a face at the mention of milk.

"Mai doodh nahi piyu gi!" she exclaimed, and he pinched her nose gently.

"Tum toh kya, tumhara shohar bhi piyega," Almeer replied teasingly. Aynoor looked at him with wide eyes and said, "Par mere shohar toh aap hai na?" Her innocence melted Almeer's heart, and he nodded.

"Bilkul hu," he affirmed, smiling warmly at Aynoor.

"Khan, meri chocolate kaha hai?" she asked sassily while laying on the bed comfortably. Almeer looked at her, his attention briefly shifting from his laptop.

"Tumhare wardrobe mai hai," he replied, his focus returning to his work.

"Aap laa dein na..." Aynoor whined, feeling a bit neglected by his preoccupation with work. She craved his undivided attention, wanting to bask in his presence.

Almeer sensed her longing and pinned her with his gaze. "Khabardar! Udhar he raho tum. Mai aata hu chocolate lekar," he said sternly, but his eyes softened with love. Aynoor couldn't help but give him a sheepish smile in response. Despite his stern tone, she knew he cared deeply for her.

The amount of care and love Almeer showered upon her had made her forget where she came from. He had become such an integral part of her life that she couldn't imagine being without him. Almeer was her home.

Almeer returned with a pack of chocolates and handed them to Aynoor, expecting her to take them. Instead, she grabbed his arm, prompting him to look at her with a questioning expression.

"Ab kya farmaaish hain aapki?" he asked, trying to understand her request. Aynoor smiled and said, "Thodi der mere pass baith jaayein. Please," her eyes pleading with him. Almeer sighed, knowing he could never refuse her.

"Acha, acha," he relented, giving in to her request. He sat beside her on the bed, feeling a sense of calm wash over him in her presence. Aynoor smiled and handed him the chocolates. "Ye khol k dein," she requested, extending the pack towards him. Almeer tore open the wrapper and handed her a piece.

Aynoor's eyes shone with affection as she started eating the chocolate, momentarily forgetting everything else. However, she noticed that Almeer seemed to be experiencing some discomfort as he massaged his temples.

"Aap k sir mai dard hai?" she asked, concern evident in her voice. Almeer nodded in acknowledgment, confirming her suspicions. Without a moment's hesitation, Aynoor gently patted her lap and said, "Yaha sir rakhein mai massage kar deti hu," her voice filled with love and care.

Almeer admired her thoughtfulness, but he hesitated, not wanting to trouble her. However, Aynoor was determined to take care of him. "Nahi tum araam karo mai dawaai le lunga," he insisted, trying to dismiss her offer.

But Aynoor, true to her nature as Mrs. Almeer Khan, wasn't about to take no for an answer. "Zyada hoshyaar na banein aur sir yaha rakhein," she ordered, her tone gentle yet firm. Almeer complied, resting his head in her lap. The comforting scent of her enveloped him, bringing him a sense of peace, for she smelled like him.

Aynoor ran her fingers through his wavy hair, soothing his nerves, Almeer couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort wash over him. He was completely engrossed in the sensation of her gentle touch when a knock on the door interrupted them.

Almeer's expression soured slightly as he got up to answer the door. Upon opening it, he found Guley standing there.

"Bade Khan ne aapko bulwaya hai," she informed him.
