PRINCE IN EXILE620 words~4 min read

"She's an employee" Raaha mimicked Agasthya as she ate her apple and threw the remains away before washing her hands in the waterfall.

"This employee save your ass. And you are not even thankful" Raaha scoffed trying to control her anger.

She wiped her hands clean and took out the map from the bag pack to see the temple and water fall and the forest with a red route marked in it. She started walking in the direction of the forest opposite to the temple following the markings on the map to see a big tree with a hole in it.

"Seriously! This fellows copied Alice in Wonderland" Raaha shook her head as she folded the map and sighed before walking inside the hole.

She saw a living room and frowned as she looked around to feel it familiar and then realised that she's in her childhood home. She walked towards the pictures and smiled as she caressed her mother's photo with tears in her eyes.

"Chinni?" Raaha heard a female voice and turned around to see a woman in her early thirties.

"Mumma!" Raaha said and rushed to her mother and hugged her tightly crying "I missed you so much".

"It's okay chinni. I'm here now. I'll not leave you again" Raaha's mum promised as she directed her daughter to the sofa.

They both sat down on couch and Raaha rested her head on her mom's lap looking at her mum's face as her mom patted her to sleep "Look at you, all grown up".

"Ofcourse I would grow up. I'm an adult now and working" Raaha proudly said.

"No matter how much you grow up you're still my chinni only" Her mum said pinching Raaha's cheek.

"Aww! Mumma...." Raaha winced as her mum pulled her hand back.

"You said you are working. What about your studies?" Her mum asked.

"It's summer mumma! Consider it a part time job..." Raaha trailed off and sat up frowning.

"What happened chinni?" Her mum asked as she put her hand on Raaha's shoulder.

"You shouldn't be here" Raaha said.

"Why shouldn't I? This is our home" her mum said making Raaha shake her head as she stood up.

"No... it used to be our home. I shifted to a small pent house after you died" Raaha said as tears rolled down her cheeks continuing "This is all an illusion. You're not real".

"I'm real chinni. You shouldn't have to go back to those awful people and that heartless king. You deserve better than those people. Let's be together just like before" Her mum stood up making Raaha take a step back shaking her head as she heard a roar making her look back at the door.

"They are my friends. I met you because, that heartless boss of mine sent me to fetch something for him. But I'm glad I got to see you one last time" saying Raaha turned around walking towards the door she came in form.

The door vanished leaving a hole as the living room turned into a thorn field making her step back and saw a single rose in the middle of the thorn field. She sighed and took steps towards the rose and plucked it out making the place quack as the thorns extended making her rush out of the whole as it started closing.

She fell on her back holding her bag and sighed as the tree hole shut off completely making her sit up holding her right side and looked at the torn top inside her shrug to see a little blood and covered it up by pulling the shrug close to her body and stood up walking in the direction of the temple.
