Song Qingchun was about to pry Su Zhinian’s palm away when there was a knocking on the door. Then came Fang Rou’s soft voice saying, "Qingchun?"

Su Zhinian raised his finger to his lips to shush Song Qingchun. He waited until Song Qingchun nodded before he pulled his hand back from her lips. Then he quickly turned around to grab the pregnancy sticks, tablets, and report and shoved them back into Song Qingchun’s bag.

Song Qingchun waited until Su Zhinian closed the bag before opening the bedroom door. "Big Sister, how can I help you?"

"No, it’s nothing. I’m going to sleep, and I brought you a glass of warm milk before going to my room." Fang Rou passed the glass of milk to Song Qingchun with a smile.

"Thank you, Big Sister." Song Qingchun accepted it with a bright smile before walking back and opening the door wider. "Do you want to come in?"

"It’s okay, I need to wake up early tomorrow morning." After a pause, Fang Rou asked with concern, "Was there an argument between you and Mr. Su earlier? Did I hear you raise your voice?"

"No, it’s nothing. I merely got carried away due to excitement."

"Good, good." Fang Rou smiled, pointed at her own bedroom door, and turned to leave.

Song Qingchun waited until Fang Rou was two meters away before she closed the door. She turned around, wanting to continue the conversation, when Su Zhinian shook his head at her. He walked toward her and leaned into her ear to whisper, "It’s very inconvenient to talk about this here. How about this? You come to my place on Friday morning. We’ll talk it out then. Okay?"

Even though Song Qingchun wanted to come to a decision regarding the baby as soon as possible, he was right. It was indeed not a convenient place to discuss such a topic. She thought about it and nodded. "Okay."

The break-up of Qin Yinan and Song Qingchun’s marriage was brought up by Qin Yinan to both of their parents. Song Qingchun was also present. She stressed that there was no love between her and Qin Yinan, and she had only agreed to this marriage because of Song Menghwa. Song Qingchun tried her best to apologize to her father, and since Song Menghwa did treat Qin Yinan as his own child, the whole thing didn’t turn into an awkward situation.

Qin Yinan’s parents were understandably angry, and they felt sorry toward the Song family. However, Qin Yinan was their son, and after hearing about Cheng Qingchong’s condition, they did get mad, but eventually, they had to accept the marriage.

The Song family and the Qin family’s union had been delayed many times already. If they cancelled it, it might affect both families’ reputation. Therefore, after a long discussion, the wedding would go on as usual, but the bride would change from Song Qingchun to Cheng Qingchong.

Song Menghwa had sent out all those invitations, and it was too late to take them back now. As a final solution, Song Menghwa had Qin Yinan communicate with the Cheng family to ask their family if Song Menghwa could take Cheng Qingchong as his step-daughter.

Qin Yinan called Cheng Qingchong right before the two families. Cheng Qingchong didn’t think about it too much and agreed easily.
