So, I donât know if youâre getting fucking emails, but at this point, Iâm desperate since youâre not talking to me. I donât know if itâs because you donât want to, or you canât. Iâd like it to be the latter, but I know us.
I know you.
I donât know if youâre okay. I donât know if youâre good, but Iâm a hopeless fuck so here we are. I canât give up.
I refuse.
I thought a lot about what Iâd say to you if I knew youâd see this message. In fact, I thought about it so much Iâve rewritten this email about three times. I honestly thought itâd be a bunch of fucking angsty shit where I bleed my heart out and just hope to hell youâd get back to me. It started that way the first three times until I settled on this. I know exactly what Iâd want to say to you if I knew youâd read it.
Iâd tell you about your dad.
Your father, Ramses Mallick, is my god dad. I have a total of four and out of all of them, heâs the one Iâve never once seen lose his cool. The manâs patient to a fucking fault and literally takes anything that comes at him with a smile on his face. I wouldnât mistake that for weakness, though. All my godfathers are badass and would be quick to knife a motherfucker if they deserved it. Theyâd do it to protect their family, and whatâs nice and unique about your dad is heâd never even have to lift the knife.
Heâs just that badass.
Your dadâs a talker, a peacemaker. He could make his greatest enemy fall to his feet, but the thing is, itâd never be with a threat. Ramses is just a good dude, kinder than shit, and is quick to pull the shirt off his back to help others. Heâs a fighter and a lover, and your mother, Brielle, wasnât an easy case from what I understand. In fact our parents joke a lot about how Ramses had to pull out so many stops to prove to her they could be something great. He fought for her, and he won, struggle be damned. Wolf is a lot like his mom, your mom.
But I feel like youâre a lot like your dad.
I could go on and on about how and why, but Iâd like you to come back and figure that out yourself. Your dad, Ramses, asks me every day one question. He asks it knowing the answer. He asks it despite the pain he knows it will cause him. He wants to know if Iâve heard from you, no more, no less, and even though I tell him no every day, he still asks. He doesnât give up.
Like I said, heâs a fighter.
I have a feeling heâs going to continue asking me every day, and I look forward to the day my answer doesnât suck anything out of him. I look forward to the day Iâll give him life instead of taking it from him.
Anyway, thatâs all I got for now. That was today.
Tomorrow, Iâll tell you about your mother.
