Old times

Ch 13

Tarnac pov

We drive a few hours to the cave and when we arrive some of the other Alpha’s are there while others have yet to arrive. We walk inside and the girls go off to wherever they head off to deeper in the cave. Never even noticed that it went back further but maybe that’s because the first time I felt like I was dying. I sit down and the other Alphas sit around waiting to hear the scoop on what needs to happen.

“We need to do the Luna ceremony here. Preferably once everyone is here and ready to go. There was evil in our house and we needed to get away to protect Trinity.”

“If we do it here there is a good chance Baphomet will attack. You do know that right.”

“I actually don’t think he will Luther, but I wouldn’t put it past his little pet Raston to try.”

I look around the table and all the Alphas are looking at me with confused looks on their faces.

“Baphomet is Trinity’s father. That’s why he ran the first time. He saw her and freaked out. Raston has already tried to kill her once and was almost successful. So I wouldn’t be surprised if he did or at least tried again.”

“Do you think he will attack tonight?”

“I honestly don’t know.”

We can hear the girls giggling as Ariya and Jameson come in. Ariya just runs right by us because I guess she already knows where the girls are. Jameson sits down and we get him caught up as the moon goddess walks in with the men in white robes.

“We will have quite an event happening in the next couple hours and will need to be prepared. There is evil already gathering around knowing what will be taking place shortly. Please do not leave this room. We have called in reinforcements to stand guard. They will do whatever it takes to get to Trinity to end her.”

“I don’t think it will be Baphomet because he is her father.”

“I know Tarnac, it’s not Baphomet arranging the attack. It’s Raston with help from someone. We don’t know who yet, but if it’s who we think it is they are stronger than Baphomet.”

“Ok so what do we need to do? How can we help?”

“We need to get everyone here. The priests will be bringing all the supplies that we will need to perform the ceremony.”

“And flowers!”

“Yes Trinity, and flowers.”

The girls all giggle and go running off as the last few trickle in and everyone sits around. Now I’ve seen luna ceremonies so I know how they typically go, but to say I’m scared with this one is an understatement. I mind link Misty, and ask her how fast she can get to the cave.

“It will take some time, but I can be there. Is Trinity ok? Oh god Tarnac tell me she is ok!”

“She’s fine but we are going to have a battle on our hands. Raston is teaming up with someone higher than Baphomet and getting prepared to attack. We will need everyone we can get.”

“I’m on it. We will be there!”

“We?”

“Oh just wait!”

Misty pov

As soon as Tarnac cut the mind link I was fuming. I ran directly to my closet and dug around for my little box way in the back thinking and hoping this works. It’s been so long will everyone even still have theirs? I finally found the little brown wooden box and flipped it open. Inside sits a plain teardrop necklace with a clear stone. I quickly grab it and hold it in my hands. Soon I feel it vibrate over and over and know that the girls still have theirs.

I feel the mind links break through that it’s time to battle again. The whoops and hollers that come through the mind links gets me excited. It’s been a long time since we’ve battled but know it’s like riding a bike right? I quickly put the necklace on and scramble out the door grabbing keys to my car. When I exit the house I can feel that he is near, and watching.

I open the door and jump in and soon I’m heading down the road. The moment I get off the territory I pull over and know he is still watching. I step out to the forest edge because he has some explaining to do.

“Baphomet!”

The moment I saw him appear it was like old times. I feel my body jolt and soon my eyes cloud over when I hiss with my fangs showing.

“Misty I know it’s none of my business but where are you going?”

“If you had planned to send Raston to do your dirty work so help me Baphomet you will pay the price.”

“What? No, I didn’t send him! What are you even talking about? Misty, what is going on?”

“He has teamed up with someone above you and they are planning to attack the cave tonight when they do the luna ceremony. You son of a bitch are going to kill your own daughter!”

“Never Misty! I told Lucifer I couldn’t do it anymore. He said ok and that he understood. He must have teamed up with Raston. I swear to Misty I would never hurt my own child! Let me go with you! I will help, I promise. Look, I know right now I’m not the good guy, but trust me!”

“Why should I?”

“Because you know I love you! I would never hurt our child or you!”

“Get in the car! And I better not regret this!”

“I promise you won’t. Besides, it will be like old times, just me on the good side for once.”

“That’s still up for debate, asshole. Don’t think I have just forgotten the last 19 years.”

“Oh I plan on you throwing it in my face every time you can.”

I watch him rush up towards me and feel his arms go around my waist when he crashes his lips to mine and my body instantly jolts back and melts in his arms. There was always love there. I always knew that, but to have it feel like the day it all began was a feeling I wasn’t prepared for. When I feel him lean back I just smile and stare into his eyes.

“Now Misty my love let’s go save our daughter!”
