Part 03 ✿

Taehyun ran down the stairs of his mansion and perceived his mother sitting at the table.

"Mum I ran out of pills, do you have some?"

"Okay wait a second" She got up and left the main room. After a few minutes she came back looking a bit down "Taehyun, thank god I have a pill left. You just need to go to Ebys Hospital after school to get some more"

The blonde stared at his mother with a troubled expression. She then advanced towards him and englobed him in her arms "Hyun-ah.. You'll be fine, I'll order some as well. Just take one as soon as you buy them."

As it is known by ebysers and non ebysers, rebystraints are accessories that help attenuate very strong ebyses.

Taehyun has one on his cheek but his ebys is still too strong for it. So he unfortunately has to take special pills every day to keep his body from deteriorating...

Slowly and reluctantly, Beomgyu opened his eyes but streaks of sunlight had penetrated the window and blinded him as soon as he did that. Which caused him to pull the duvet up over his head.

This time he woke up before his alarm which is quite an achievement. He has music class again today, much to his unhappiness since he hasn't done his homework and isn't in the mood to interact with his seatmate. Who he supposedly has a crush on, bullshit he thought.

After getting up, washing up and getting dressed, he went downstairs and was greeted by his brother.

Beomgyu suddenly winced at the little sting he felt in his brain, another vision was occurring.

He hates when that happens, he likes seeing the future but the fact that his head always hurts before that is annoying.

The milder the pain the sooner the vision will happen in real life.

The day he completely masters his ebys, he'll be able to actually decide when he gets the visions and there will also be zero pain.

"A kitten is about to get crushed!!!" He yelled out loud as soon as the vision ended and dashed out of the house.

He recognised that road he saw, it's near the train station so he sprinted towards that direction.

After 3 minutes of nonstop running, he perceived a familiar tiny white kitten wandering across the road and a truck speeding towards its direction.

'Is that driver blind??'

Taehyun got off his train with strawberry milk in his hands, his train goes out of town so he pays a lot of money whenever he goes to school.

But it's not a problem since his mum and his biological dad are loaded.

Jungkook's father lives nearby but he never visited him.

Taehyun was wondering if he was seeing things. There was a kitten sitting on a busy road. His lips parted and he was about to dart to it but then he saw a ravenette speeding towards it, the kitten was between them.

Beomgyu hurriedly grabbed the kitten but he was too late, the truck was 10 inches (approx 25cm) away from crushing both of them.

"Kitten!!!" Taehyun yelled disregarding the fact that Beomgyu was literally about to get heavily injured or die.

"TIME STOP!" And a clap was heard.

An ebyser approached Beomgyu who was completely frozen in his running position. Actually the whole entire world stopped moving. Except the one who caused this to happen. He pushed the paused body to the sidewalk where Taehyun was, as still as a statue.

Now that Beomgyu was safe, he was curious about who that crazy driver is. But then he realised after peeping through the window that no one was in the driving seat. It must be an ebyser, maybe they had the invisibility ebys or something.

Creeped out and confused, the boy went into an alleyway and mumbled "Time play"

"What the-"

It was like Taehyun's life flashed before his eyes when Beomgyu abruptly bummed into him and fell on him.

After a few seconds, Taehyun batted his eyes open and rubbed the back of his head that had hit the ground, but it wasn't that hard so he was okay. The first thing he saw was the older just gazing at him, looking completely awestruck. The blonde squinted his eyes a bit confused and looked around.

"So cute..." Taehyun muttered out.

Taken aback, Beomgyu quickly got up "Huh?!"

"The kitty is so cute!" The cat had landed on his chest, the blonde quickly sat up and hugged it.

The older was wondering how he ended up on the pavement all of a sudden...

"It's so small and cute" Taehyun repeated with the cat in his arms while it softly meowed at him "I'm glad you're okay" he cooed at it

"Yeah no need to thank its saver. And what the hell dude?!" Beomgyu snapped in a low voice.

"I didn't realise it was you at first.." He mumbled, not loud enough for anyone to hear.

Beomgyu was a tad weirded out by the younger's unusual behavior. And also couldn't help but frown at this sight, not knowing why. Taehyun looked up at him, making the older shoot his stare away.

"Is it homeless?" Taehyun asked.

"I think so, it's kind of dirty and I've seen it roam around here sometimes."

Ignoring the fact that it's a stray cat, Taehyun pecked its forehead and walked off not sparing a single glance at the older.

Beomgyu frowned again and asked

"Wait where are you going idiot? We have school."

"Zip it. One of our servants is in the area, I'll ask him to bring it to a vet and maybe take it home."

Beomgyu rolled his eyes and walked off in the opposite direction. 'Not this rich kid casually saying: one of my servants'

"Hi Beomgyu!" Said a boy who popped out of nowhere.

"AAAH!!" The dark-haired dramatically screamed and the person's greeting. Then blinked "Oh. It's you Jeongin. Funny how your time controlling ebys makes it look like you're teleporting"

The other boy chuckled "Heh. By the way, I saved your life so you're indebted to me forever."

"I don't know what you're talking about." Beomgyu said walking away hands in his pockets.

"No weird events happened this last few minutes?" He smirked

"The only weird thing that happened is seeing Taehyun walk. I didn't know he was smart enough to do that."

In the main hall of Ebys Academy, a couple of girls were trying to cheer their friend up.

"Nari-yah.. Don't pull that face, I know Taehyun likes you"

"Exactly! So many students are jealous of you, including me!!"

A girl nudged the one who just spoke "Same Taehyun is sooo handsome.."

"Maybe that upperclassman lied you know"

"Oh my gosh- What if it's because he likes Tae-"

"If he tries to steal Taehyun from our Nari, I'll send him to space with my telekinesis"

Nari was getting a headache from all this... She sighed then spoke up "Beomgyu has no reason to lie, and his visions are always correct."

"Hi Nari!" Taehyun shoved the girls that were circling her "You want to walk to class together?"

Her girl friends started squealing, making the blonde boy cover his ears. Nari shyly followed him as he walked away.

The two arrived on the third floor. Taehyun has been babbling to her about the cat.

"It's apparently a male!"

Nari briefly hummed as a response

"And he doesn't have a microchip, which means he doesn't have an owner"

Nari hummed again

"Do you have an idea for a name?"

Hummed again

Taehyun stopped in his tracks and grabbed the girl's wrist "Are you mad at me? Since yesterday you've been acting weird"

"No it's just..."

Soobin and Beomgyu were walking the long hallways

"Beomgyu thanks for accompanying me to the third floor! I need to go to the faculty's office" Soobin said.

"I can't believe you're not familiar with this floor, weren't you a second year at this school?"

"No... I'm new, my family doesn't have a lot of money and attending this school is expensive"

They then turned a corner and noticed 2 familiar faces.

"Isn't that Taehyunie and his friend?" Soobin remarked and Beomgyu just stared.

Nari looked up at the taller "Taehyun don't you like me?" She asked with sad eyes.

His eyes widened "h-huh.. of course.."

She grabbed his shoulders and rested her forehead on his upper chest "But if... if I asked you out... you would reject me..."

Taehyun's heart jumped "What."

She looked up and stared into his eyes "We've known each other since middle school, back then I've only seen you as a friend. B-But now it's.. it's different and I always thought you liked me back but you don't and I—"

Soobin let out an inaudible squeal and gripped Beomgyu's uniform and started pulling it excitedly "Oh my god Beomgyu did you see that?!"

Taehyun had pressed his lips against the girl's, he pulled away after a few seconds and smiled "Sorry... I heard that this one of the quickest ways to shut someone up"

He gasped to himself "Wah it worked..."

Nari blushed madly, for a second she thought her face was on fire. She suddenly felt shy and tried to hide her rosy features behind her fingers.

"I-I... uhh.."

"I got a question...Why are you saying that I would reject you?"

She turned her head trying to avert locking eyes and uttered out

"You..you wouldn't? B-but then..why did Beo-"

She then perceived 2 boys at the end of the hallway, one who she recognised and one who she didn't.

Feeling twice more shy than she already was, she decided to quickly scurry out of the three's sight.

Taehyun blinked then turned to where she was looking and saw a giant bunny, running to him

"Looks like our Taehyun is not a baby anymore"

The blond raised a brow "You only now realised? I stopped being a baby since like 15 years ago. And why are you saying that?"

Soobin gave himself a facepalm.

Taehyun said seriously "I asked you a question.. why did you say that all of a sudden?"

The older just rolled his eyes before turning behind him because he doesn't think Beomgyu followed him. And he was right, he wasn't even there at all, instead was Huening Kai walking towards them. "Hi guys!"

"Hi Kai" Taehyun greeted.

"What's Beomgyu hyung's deal?" He suddenly questioned. Soobin asked him what he meant.

"I literally met him like 30 seconds ago, I asked him if he saw Taehyun-ah. And he yelled at me not to utter such a grotesque name. His mind was overflowing with all kinds of different thoughts that I couldn't keep up" he pulled out his own hair, frustrated that for the first time he had a hard time using his ebys.

Taehyun frowned "Of course he would say that. I really don't get how you guys tolerate him"

Huening blinked 'Are we just gonna ignore that hyung was having some sort of breakdown?'

"He's quite nice actually" Soobin remarked "He's just mean to you only, for some reason."

'I guess we are. I'm hungry..'

"Yes I know" Taehyun scowled and crossed his arms "We stopped being on good terms since last year. Basically when I first came to this school."

"Oh? May I ask why?" Soobin wondered

Taehyun suddenly paused "To be honest... I don't remember"
