Part 19 ✿

Believe it or not but, The blue room is a blue room.

And the only room at EFN that's blue.

Most of the place is white, but it contains several rooms with their own distinctive colours and function.

The blue room's temperature is exceedingly high as well, it also contains a certain gas that shouldn't be inhaled by someone who has an ebys like Taehyun.

But EFN staff do not seem to care, since the gas is beneficial for them as it keeps the boy befuddled. Perfect for their future experiments.

This tiny room that only contains a bed and a few candles. The blonde was leaning against a wall in torment, and even though the room is hot, his chest felt freezing cold, really cold.

"Cold!" Taehyun started spinning around, he felt like he could go berserk, he was having a constant brain freeze and felt absolutely deranged. The door wasn't locked but his rationality was on pause, so he didn't even think of simply opening it. "Cold!"

All of this, was the result of staying alone in this condensed dark neon blue room for practically a day, while constantly breathing in a dangerous gas.

Taehyun then sneezed which made one of the candles explode.

His senses were sharp at that moment, so he instantly heard that someone just touched the door handle from the outside. He dashed to the door and looked at it with shifty eyes.

With the door slightly opening, he perceived a similar sized boy with dark hair who he didn't really recognise at first. In a matter of a millisecond, Taehyun felt attracted to the person, like they were just radiating this alluring and warm aura.

His deranged self speedily pulled the boy in before he could even take a step inside, which made a teddy fall off their shoulder. The blonde pinned them against the blue wall with almost zero space between the two.

Taehyun grabbed the person's wrists and held them to the wall. "Hmm.." he leaned closer and gave the other a suspicious glare. Wondering what was up with the warm aura and what they were doing there.

We know what a human heart is.

This vital organ in your chest that pumps blood throughout your body. Supplies oxygen, and has other kinds of different roles.

Well Beomgyu's heart, if you can even call it a heart anymore, was not really good at its job. Because right now, it was instead only sending blood to his face. Which made his cheeks acquire a deep shade of red and his legs becoming feeble. That incompetent heart of his was beating like a drum.

He thought he was gonna die, the main cause of death wouldn't be the room's insane temperature, but the younger's intense gaze.

"T-Tae-"

"Who are you?" Taehyun frowned while asking that question, he scanned the paralysed male, and it took him way longer than it should have to realise who it was. "Oh. Beomgyu."

With the older's back still against the wall, Taehyun wrapped his arms around his waist then rested his chin on the other's shoulder. "So warm..."

Strangely enough, even though this small windowless room was so hot, Taehyun was cold.

But somehow Beomgyu's touch made him feel the complete opposite.

The younger started lightly brushing his lips against Beomgyu's neck which made the raven haired tense up, heart still beating like it was trying to win a horse race or something. It actually won 1st place a long time ago. But still continued running at full speed, winning golden trophies after golden trophies.

Taehyun was acting so unusual, which really weirded out the older. But if Beomgyu said he didn't like this or that he didn't want to kiss the hell out of him, that would be his lie of the century.

Jess opened the door, for her little teddy body to pass. And.. « This is an interesting sight. » she said before casually walking out.

But what Taehyun said next was the final blow and made Beomgyu's heart obliterate entirely.

"I want to do the thing with you."

"...wha—"

Taehyun held his hand and pulled him away from the wall "Come on, there's a bed right behind us."

Some imaginary steam escaped Beomgyu's red ears. Was he hearing all of this right? No..

"W-what thing?"

"I want to do it with you"

"WHAT'S IT ?!!!"

The blonde shushed him up by putting his finger on his lips "Shh it'll be okay" he then softly pushed to other and his back fell on the bed.

"T-T-Taehyun? Wh.. What has g-gotten into you?" Beomgyu stammered and he suddenly felt defenseless. 'Someone help me! This is.. this is..no. Pinch me I'm dreaming!'

The other just smiled then got on top of him and directed his face right above the older's. He then leaned downwards to kiss Beomgyu.

But the latter put his hands on his chest, keeping him at a distance, still struggling to cope with the extreme nervousness he was feeling at the moment "No Taehyun, we can't.. not here.. Wait I-I mean we shouldn't do it at all"

The blonde looked visibly upset "You can't chicken out now... don't you like me?"

Beomgyu's blush worsened greatly "I do.. I-I really do but—"

The boy then heard a noise, a sound that made his brain corrupt with his destructed heart now winning a diamond trophy. It was was the sound of his belt getting unbuckled and something getting unzipped.

"T-TAEHYUN!"

With a tug, the aforementioned got Beomgyu's jeans half way off. Driven by panic, Beomgyu sat up but this only gave space for Taehyun to sit on his lap. "Come on... stop your nonsense and admit you want it~" He teased as his crotch faintly rubbed against Beomgyu's.

He flinched after feeling Taehyun's hands slipping under his shirt, wanting to remove that as well. "I promise you'll love it."

Beomgyu was honestly getting hard from this, the secret sexual desire he has for the blonde was this close to giving in. He also just invented a whole new shade of red as his internal meltdown didn't stop "I'M TOO YOUNG!"

Taehyun looked at him with an innocent and confused expression "Aren't I younger than you?"

"B-b-b-b-b-b-bu....HEEEELP!!!" Beomgyu screamed.

Maya the 9 year old girl who isn't aware how rare and powerful her ebys can be, slowly approached Beomgyu who was lying on the floor of the pink room of EFN, aka one of the rooms where their ebyses aren't nullified.

She was hugging the teddy tiger, and that tiger spoke up « Beomgyu you can stop crying now, they took him away an hour ago. Plus he was under some weird drug so relax, please. You're annoying. »

He was giving himself multiple regretful facepalms "Whyyyy?! I had never been this close to Taehyun but I freaking blew it! PLEASE! Why did I call for help? Why did I call for help? Why did I call for help?... What's wrong with me?!!" And the fact that Taehyun had effortlessly given him a boner but Beomgyu didn't satisfy it! "WHY!? If only I had the time travelling ebys back..."

« What are you insinuating? So you actually really wanted to fu— »

"Shut up there's a kid here!!!" Beomgyu shouted, forgetting she can't hear the teddy.

The girl frowned, she brought one of her arms out and conjured a big floating blob of water, then telepathically threw it at the male.

Clothes now drenched, Beomgyu hastily sat up and shook his wet hair "W-why did you do that?!"

She glowered at him "Va te faire voir!!"

Jessica made a fake gasp « Translated from French, she's basically telling you to get lost. »

Maya added something "Don't touch Taehyun again, you perverted stranger!"

"ARE YOU FREAKING JOKING ME?! HE'S THE ONE WHO—"

Beomgyu then felt a strong gust of wind, the fierce power of it instantly made him travel through the air. His back then harshly hit the white wall like a magnet.

He slowly slid down against it and fell on the floor. "Ow..." he rubbed his back and winced in pain.

The gust also dried him up in a second. He looked up to see what was the cause of this.

A teenage boy came back from his checkup hands in his pockets, floating in the air and not looking really happy. "Damare!!" (Shut up)

'The air element eh.. But why do these kids dislike me so much?!'

"Jess why are you with them?!"

The teddy just shrugged its shoulders in the girl's arms « No reason »

« Well she picked me up out of nowhere and the benefit of that is that I don't have to walk so. »

Beomgyu stomped towards them "Look guys, you misunderstood and I just want to apologise for whatever reason you think I should be apologising for."

« The unintelligent is an interesting species. »

The two younger looked at him like he was crazy "Who even are you?" The older one wondered.

The oldest suddenly got cocky and snickered "It should already be known by now that I'm Taehyun's boyfriend"

«Let me correct a few things: It should already be known by now that I'm this single guy who is hopelessly in love with my close friend. But I still somehow had the biggest gay panic when he made an advance on me»

...'Since she got into the teddy tiger, she expresses herself more "freely" I don't like it'

"J-Jess I-I didn't panic it was just—" He couldn't finish his meaningless refutation as someone who entered the room immediately caught his attention.

"Hi Beomgyu, it's been a while" a blonde smiled

softly at him "Thank you for visiting me like this, means a lot" he wasn't under the effect of the gas anymore but his insides hurt a bit from what the researchers did to him just now.

The raven haired stared open-mouthed at the boy who was just ruffling the hair of the kids who he considered like his siblings.

Beomgyu's cheeks seethed with red at the sight of the blonde 'why.. is he acting like nothing happened? DON'T TELL ME HE HAS FORGOTTEN'

Taehyun looked up and took notice that the older was staring at him, so he just made a friendly smile again.

Since Beomgyu's heart exploded priorly, it was now replaced with a hammer. And his new hammer heart heavily throbbed at the younger's subtle act.

He tore his gaze away and put his hand on his beating chest 'hell... how am I supposed to help him escape from here if I can't even make eye contact??'

Taehyun eye's widened, he somehow just noticed what Maya was holding and took it from her hands. She then walked away with a pout and the ash-blonde followed her right after eye-judging Beomgyu.

"Beomgyu how.." he stammered shyly "h-how did you get this teddy..?"

Beomgyu took a step back in sudden realisation, in that alternate timeline where Taehyun passed, his mother gave it to him.

"It's a teddy tiger, my son made it for you a long time ago. Taehyun actually fabricated it entirely, he hurt his fingers a lot of times from sewing."

Beomgyu found himself fidgeting with his shirt

"O-Oh right.. Your mother gave it to me..."

Taehyun's cheeks tinted with a light shade of pink, he covered his eyes with the back of his hand "Wah I'm embarrassed now ehehe but do you like it??"

"Y-Yea! I never got the opportunity to thank you, I really like it a lot and it means a lot to me, thank you..." Beomgyu gave the other a nervous but genuine smile, Taehyun did too.

«Get me out of this soft atmosphere.»

The younger glanced away "I do have a question though."

"What is it?"

"Why is it moving?"

"Oh." Beomgyu chuckled softly "I don't know if you remember Jessica but um, she's in there. Don't ask why. I don't know either."

As the younger was about to nod, Beomgyu suddenly shouted with a hint of hesitation "Taehyun!"

"Hm?"

Beomgyu put his backpack on the floor then back on him after bringing out a little something. A little box containing the half heart necklace that he's been wanting to give to Taehyun. He's in possession of the other half, he even had their names (Tae/gyu) and a little message engraved on them.

The older was now in front of the blonde, he looked determined to give it to him after all these years but he still seemed really sheepish "I... there's something that I've wanted to give you too.." he briefly lifted his head up and saw Taehyun looking at him with an eager smile.

Beomgyu looked back down, a blush coating his cheeks "It was originally for Valentine's Day but... I was really timid since this gift is clearly a sign that I-I that I lo.." he softly grunted in frustration that he can't let the freaking words out "That I.."

"That you??" Taehyun leaned a bit too close with his big curious eyes "What is it?"

« You're making the romance really obvious. Pretty sure Taehyun caught on. »

Beomgyu's chest tightened as he gulped

"U-uhhhh I umm...... OH NO!" He suddenly exclaimed, confusing the younger "I just remembered that I need to..to throw away my candy wrapper..?"

The blonde tilted is head "That can't wait?"

"HaHAh nahh.." Beomgyu was now taking steps backwards "It can't.. I promised Soobin hyung to throw it away as soon as possible, if not the candy wrapper might eat him... BYE!" Beomgyu turned around and ran off to who knows where.

"oh.....

wait wut?"

He looked down at the teddy « Excuse my ally. He's a panicking prodigy who's ready to sell his soul if you told him to. »

Beomgyu found himself sitting against a white door in dejection. He covered his flushed face with his hands 'I have a problem, what's so hard about handing him a piece of jewelry?'

The male then perceived two muffled voices, they were from the other side of the door. He decided to put his ear against it to hear them better.

"Those ebysers are really making us a lot of money..."

"I know right, especially Maya with her eternal supply of water"

"They work for us 24/7 and we don't even need to pay them!"

Beomgyu's expression darkened 'why are they even laughing?'

"But anyway, you know what I want to try next with Taehyun? Do you think it's possible to see or retrieve his fireball? The one inside his body."

"Hmm we'll need to open his chest up for that.. but our surgeons aren't skilled enough"

"If he dies so be it, he'll be 20 in a year or two anyway. We could still use the two others."

"Heh you're right. But we should drug him first, by that I mean putting him in the blue room again for an hour."

"Speaking of the blue room. When I got Taehyun off of that guest earlier, his body was warm instead of cold which is really peculiar. And I wanna know why. Do you think we'll get in legal trouble if we perform something on that other boy too?"

"We won't get into trouble if no one finds out. Tell that guest to follow you somewhere then drug him."

"Right at it!"

Beomgyu was staring into nothingness with his eyes wide open, then slowly got up. 'Taehyun... you and I need to get the hell out of here.'
