Beomgyu slowly opened his eyes, as if he woke up from the deepest slumber. And he perceived that... He was in the middle of nowhere... Like just floating in a black void of space.

"Hello?!" He screamed panicked.

« Hello Beomgyu »

Hearing an unknown young, mature, pretty-sounding female voice resonating in his head, he immediately had an idea of who it was. "Is this Jessica?"

«Yes, and you do not need to talk out loud to communicate with me.»

{I see... well where am I??}

«In the middle of spacetime, but you can't stay here for long or you might suffocate. So tell me 'when' you want to go.»

"Uhhh.." {28th of January 2020, before Taehyun goes to the hospital. Yeonjun hyung recommended me to 'save' there so...}

« Do you wish to go as an outsider or as yourself? »

'Oh shoot! Yeonjun hyung warned me about this question and I forgot what outsider even means... should I ask her? Nah.'

{ I want to go as an outsider??? }

Beomgyu fluttered his eyes open, and it didn't take him long to realise that he was lying on the floor. He slowly got up while feeling a bit dizzy. After looking around for a bit, he came to the conclusion that he was at Ebys academy.

'It worked... OK DON'T FREAK OUT.'

{Jessica are you still there?}

« Yes always »

That answer reassured Beomgyu, he started wandering around the hallways then something clicked 'I see why the halls are empty now! I think this is that time where assigned students clean their classrooms. And I had cleaning duty with Taehyun on that day so...'

With sudden excitement overcoming him, Beomgyu speeded upstairs to class 2-A where Taehyun is normally supposed to be.

When he arrived at the classroom his jaw dropped, as he looked through the glass door, he saw Taehyun sitting at a desk doing nothing in particular. It was really Taehyun!

Beomgyu made his biggest smile and his eyes started welling up. No words could express how happy he felt at this very moment. But as he put his hand on the door handle, his vision was suddenly blinded. Someone forcibly pulled him away from the door while covering his eyes and mouth.

« Seems like you're in a bad situation Beomgyu. »

{Wow thank you so much for pointing that out!!}

The raven haired tried to get away from the person's grasp, but both of their strength was similar so it wasn't really working.

'Who is this person?! This didn't happen in the previous timeline!'

The unknown person brought Beomgyu to a different empty hallway then let go of him.

The ravenette was quite pissed about all this, Taehyun was literally in the classroom alive and well, he wanted to go to him and hug him but this person had to ruin everything.

Beomgyu hastily turned around to face them "What do you—"

but then he paused, as they locked eyes. He was really wondering if he was seeing things.

After like 10 seconds, they both spoke up at the exact same time "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?!"

Beomgyu put his hand on his chest "I'm Beomgyu!"

"No I'm Beomgyu!" Said the person who looks exactly like him.

"EHHHHHHH?!" They exclaimed simultaneously.

'Did some kind of cloning ebys do this?' Our Beomgyu thought 'I'm literally looking at myself in the mirror, except he has a school uniform. Wait....'

{Jessica! Is this person the original 'me' from January 28?}

« Exactly, since you went as an outsider, there are two Beomgyus as a result»

Beomgyu2 spoke up "What do you want with Taehyun, imposter Beomgyu?! I have cleaning duty with him"

"Shut up and get lost! Also I'm one week older than you so you shall call me hyung!" Beomgyu1 tried to make a run for it since he doesn't have time to waste but the other grabbed his arm.

"It works in years not weeks and stay away from Taehyun you handsome imposter!! I was supposed to spend time with him, not you!"

"No you back off! He's mine"

Beomgyu1 continued with a smirk "Also he likes me more, he said I'm his favourite."

The younger's heart skipped a beat "H-He said that..? Well.. that means I am too! And I'm obviously the better Beomgyu."

Beomgyu1 rolled his eyes "Pff. You remind me of me when I was your age. Such a narcissist!"

« .....You guys are literally the same person. Don't fight with yourself. You look ridiculous. »

Beomgyu2 clicked his tongue "Alright bro, let's both go then."

"Don't 'bro' me!" Beomgyu1 snapped "What will he think if he sees 2 Beomgyus genius?!"

The other wasn't letting go of his arm "Personally I will faint from seeing too much handsomeness. One Beomgyu is already breathtaking but two?!"

The older one scratched his head "Aish you do have a point.. but NO!"

{Jessica is it okay if I punch his devilishly handsome face?? He's trying to get in between!}

« Since that's your younger self, you will feel the afterpain if you do that so I don't recommend it. »

{okay but please make him disappear.. I take back what I said, I want to go as myself not as an outsider...}

« Very well »

Beomgyu suddenly couldn't feel the grip on his arm, so he turned around and the other wasn't there anymore 'Yes!'

Without wasting any more time, Beomgyu ran back to the classroom, and thankfully Taehyun was still there.

He ran towards him and before the blonde could turn around he was englobed in a deep embrace.

"TAEHYUN!" The older howled in joy, he hugged him so very tightly. "Oh my gosh you're alright.. I was so upset... I missed you so much.. You have no idea how much I missed you"

"Uhhhhhh... What the actual f*ck?" was the only thing Taehyun could pronounce. And for some reason his body felt cold when the older hugged him.

The blonde wanted to free himself from the grasp, but not on Beomgyu's watch, his arms were still laced around his waist with their upper bodies pressed against one another. He missed the younger's touch, scent, voice, his entire existence. "I- Beomgyu?" The younger was actually enjoying this moment but he was too stuck-up to admit it. But the pinkening of his cheeks gave it away.

He whined in a rather cute voice "L-Let go of me!"

He pushed him in a gentle manner. "Ew why are you crying?" He brought his hand to the other's face and wiped a tear away, reluctantly but he still did it.

But that didn't faze Beomgyu as he immediately just cupped the younger's cheeks "I'm just so happy to see you again, I never thought I would."

Taehyun's face instantly flushed up even more but that didn't stop him from pushing him away again, but this time with more force "DUDE! We literally saw each other this morning!"

Beomgyu smiled at him but Taehyun looked away and mumbled "This is disturbing on so many levels.." he then spoke louder "What are you doing? We're supposed to clean the classroom"

Looks like Beomgyu's heart took over his brain and he acted without thinking. He now realised how random this situation is for the younger.

But now that they're reunited, what should Beomgyu do?

"Taehyun. Do me a favour and don't go to the hospital."

« You are unintelligent Beomgyu. »

{Quiet please..}

The blonde chuckled "And why not?"

"Because uh.."

Taehyun said monotonously "Did you time travel?"

"HUH?! No? How..."

« You lack intelligence Beomgyu. »

{Not now!}

Taehyun crossed his arms "Yeonjun can transfer his ebys to others, you act like you've not seen me in years and now you're telling me not to go to the hospital when I didn't tell you I even had an appointment. There are no other explanations for this weird behaviour of yours. I'm supposed to die today so you came back to" he made jazz hands "sAve mE"

'He's smart..' Beomgyu fiercely looked at the other "W-well yea! What if I did come to do that?!"

"Well there's no way to save me dumbass! Even if I don't go to the hospital, I will still blow up"

Suddenly something hit Beomgyu, the younger is right... that was written on the sheet of paper that Kai wrote. Even if he doesn't go over there, even if he removes his rebystraint.. He will still end up....

He shook his head trying to get rid of the bad thoughts and suddenly held Taehyun's shoulders "What should I do then..."

"Nothing. Just go back to wherever you came from. I won't leave if that's what you want, but it'll still happen."

{Jessica, you can help me with my ebys right? I wanna see if he still dies.}

IT HAPPENED ANYWAY!

Beomgyu looked anxious 'No.. I didn't come back here, for the same outcome to happen.. WAIT.'

"Taehyun, the main reason why you're going to die today is because of that star on your cheek right?"

The younger nodded.

"And you got the rebystraint on the 28th of January 2015 right?"

The younger nodded "Looks like you did get the folder that I prepared for you. Didn't expect you to go back in time though."

Beomgyu was still holding his shoulders "Yes and your attitude in the letter was cuter than this." He humphed "But I still really lov—lovst- LOST you! So I just had to do this"

Taehyun just blinked.

{Jessica, is it possible for me to go back to 2015?}

«Naturally, but do you wish to save your progress in this timeline? »

{Yes but wait a second}

Beomgyu cupped Taehyun's cheeks again, something his past self would have been way too shy to do

"Wait for me okay? I just need to fix a couple of things and you'll be safe"

He glowered at him "Get your hands off of my face and what are you talking about?"

"Ehhh?" Beomgyu leaned closer "Isn't this the same guy who wanted to kiss me? We can do it if you want to so badly~ »

Beomgyu slowly opened his eyes and as he did that he got aware of his surroundings, a bit confused and lightheaded he asked himself 'Why... am I lying on the floor...?' He then gasped panicked

{Jessica did you make me time travel again?!}

« No unintelligible mortal, you're still in the same timeline. It's just that Taehyun knocked you out. Quite brutally in my opinion. »

Beomgyu sat up and it's now that he realised that his face hurts. With his hand on his cheek, he looked up at the other who was still standing at the same place. His eyes widened as he perceived how the younger's face had gone beet red "D-Don't take me off guard like that.."

His heart then fluttered 'So cute... Wait no time to get distracted!' Beomgyu hastily got up "See you in what will be a long time for me but a second for you!"

Taehyun just gave him an annoyed expression

{Jessica save my progress here please, then let's travel back again}

« It is done, now time to go back to my favourite place, nothingness. »

Beomgyu opened his eyes and he was now floating in the middle of a black void again. He then sighed {Do we really need to go here every time I want to travel..?}

« Yes it is a necessary process, Now tell me 'when' you want to go. »

{I originally wanted to go back to 2015 but there's a little something I gotta do first, something that I utterly despised happened on this specific day, I wanna go as myself by the way}

« Which is? »

Beomgyu and Soobin turned a corner and noticed 2 familiar faces.

"Isn't that Taehyunie and his friend?" Soobin remarked.

Nari looked up at the taller "Taehyun don't you like me?" She asked with sad eyes.

His eyes widened "h-huh.. of course.."

She grabbed his shoulders and rested her forehead on his upper chest "But if... if I asked you out... you would reject me..."

Taehyun's heart jumped "What."

She looked up and stared into his eyes "We've known each other since middle school, back then I've only seen you as a friend."

During that time Taehyun was getting closer.

"B-But now it's.. it's different and I always thought you liked me back but you don't and I—"

Beomgyu rushed towards them and pulled Taehyun away from Nari "Oh hell no!! You're not gonna kiss her!!!"

"Why not? I heard it's a good way to shut someone up." Taehyun turned behind him, questioning Beomgyu's interruption

'Kiss me instead!'

« Beomgyu. What you're doing isn't about saving Taehyun. It's called being a selfish and jealous opportunist. Don't forget that little things you change will significantly alter the future.»

Beomgyu ignored the voice and pushed Taehyun away some more "J-just keep your pretty lips off her that's it! Why would you even kiss her?!"

« You're also making it look like you like the female »

{Quiet and heck no. I don't even remember what her name is and I've known her for years}

Taehyun glanced at the girl who was now leaning against a wall not showing her face, then back at him "Because I like her?"

Beomgyu's heart broke "No... no you don't. How could you do this to me-   I-I mean to me...um linda?"

« Who's Melinda- »

"Just don't do it. Thank you, now bye" He saluted

Nari was grumbling to herself while averting her sinister eyes from the boys "Tch." 'That eternal third wheel better get the f*ck out. My ebys was 'this close' to making him kiss me.'

After changing how the event was supposed to happen, Beomgyu ran back towards Soobin's direction and when he crossed by him he said "Eat less pig." Then went outside.

{Ok now that that's done. Let's go to 2015!}

« I miss Yeonjun. Why was I assigned an empty-headed boy to assist? »

Back in the void

{28th of January 2015 is the date I choose, I want to arrive before Taehyun puts on his rebystraint for the first time, and I want to go as an outsider.}

'Where am I?' Beomgyu wondered as he was now on the floor of what seemed to be a house, quite a big one. 'Is this Taehyun's place? Wait I'm stupid!! Why did I ask to go as an outsider?!'

Beomgyu's right, like if Taehyun's parents see a random stranger in their house like this, they will freak out. He then looked at a door that was in front of him 'Wait I remember coming here, all this was before his parents started to dislike me'

He opened the door and was welcomed by two high pitched screams.

Beomgyu's eyes widened in awe at the sight of 13 year old and 14 year old Taehyun and Beomgyu.
