Part 09 ✿

January 31st 2020

The raven haired's older brother was standing in front of Beomgyu's bedroom door with a folder and a water bottle in his hands.

"Beomgyu!!!" Taehyung was banging on the younger's door. "Beomgyu!! You haven't come out of your room in 3 days!" "Beomgyu!!"

January 28th

"Kang Taehyun passed away a few minutes ago"

Beomgyu didn't have an immediate reaction at the man's utterance "Wait excuse me?"

Jungkook advanced towards Beomgyu and gave him a back hug "Gyu.... he's..." The raven-haired felt his shirt getting damp from the older's tears.

The moment of realization soon hit Beomgyu. He had the blankest expression but tears were infinitely just rolling down his cheeks.

He slowly raised his head to face the man that seemed to feel really bad about breaking this sad news to him. "Taehyun died?"

The man nodded ignobly "And so did our doctors and surgeons.."

"I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR INCOMPETENT F*CKWITS!" Beomgyu violently shoved the man away with a force that he didn't know he had.

That just happened in the heat of the moment, these doctors have families, families that will be sad when they find out about the news but there was only one thing that was important to Beomgyu right now.

He was in incredibility, refusing to believe what he just heard.

He then jammed the door open "Taehyun?!"

Beomgyu's eyes widened greatly and were filled with terror at the grisly scene that was in front of him. He was welcomed with blood dripping off the ceiling, a bunch of what he assumed were dead bodies on the floor (covered with a white cloth), police officers and a few people who he doesn't know.

He felt sick to his stomach and shivers ran down his spine when he noticed that he was stepping on a pool of blood, a pool that was making its way out of the room.

Honestly one would pass out if they came into this room, but Beomgyu was too worried about Taehyun so the dead bodies didn't affect him all that much.

With shaky eyes, he took a look to his right, where the hospital bed is supposed to be. And there, was the most gruesome thing he'd ever seen. A traumatic image that he will probably never forget.

"...Wha....w-what is that..?" He whispered in horror.

One of the people heard what he questioned "That's.. Taehyun. I'm sorry for your loss but please exit the room, you're not supposed to be in here"

Beomgyu approached the thing with heavy steps in disbelief, the thing he didn't know were the remains of a human, the thing he didn't know was Taehyun, Taehyun the boy who he has loved for six years, is now dead.

He's. really... Dead.

Beomgyu slowly put his hand to his mouth

"T-Taehyun...?" He burst into tears and started whimpering uncontrollably "No... this can't be... he's not.."

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"

.

"LET ME GO!!!" Two officers were holding both of Beomgyu's arms and were forcing him out of the hospital room. He was getting out of control and he needed to leave the place.

"NO PLEASE! I LOVE HIM.. TAE-"

"LET ME GO!! TAEHYUN NOOO"

Beomgyu was fighting and wailing, trying to get out of the men's grasp. The gap between him and the other was getting bigger and he didn't like that at all.

"TAEHYUN DON'T LEAVE ME AGAIN!!"

"TYUUUN-AAAAAAAAAH!!!!"

The door then slammed closed.

Back to January 31st 2020

( 3 days later )

A voice grabbed Taehyung's attention "hyung.."

He turned his neck to the right "Yeonjun-ah, you came..." he ran to his cousin and wrapped his arms around him "I'm so worried... Beomgyu locked himself in his room and probably hasn't eaten nor drank anything since that day"

Yeonjun silently nodded "So that's why he wasn't answering my calls..." he advanced towards the door, he then knocked on it "Gyu.. It's me. Your favorite cousin"

But there wasn't any response.

Yeonjun briefly pulled away from the door and asked his older cousin "Were you able to talk to him at all?"

"No... After his breakdown at the hospital, he became completely silent and dull. And directly locked himself in his room when we came back"

'I understand him, He's been so in love with Taehyun and has eyes for him only... He never kissed or dated anyone because he only wanted him..'  Taehyung clenched his fists 'Realising how much you love someone then they pass away? Why must life be so unfair..?'

Yeonjun put his ear against the door. And could perceive faint sobs.

The ravenette was curled up in his bed, crying his eyes out while clutching the necklace to his chest. It was already painful enough that he lost his first love, but the fact that he thinks that he could've saved him hurts even more.

The remorse was unreal. He kept telling himself that maybe if he ran a little faster he could've saved him, maybe if he took the bus he could've saved him, maybe if he stopped him from going to the hospital when he had the chance he could've saved him.

But little did he know, is that Taehyun was going to die on that day regardless.

January 28th 2020.

"What do we do?" The older brother asked, "I tried everything, and the key that I have doesn't work on this door, he has the only one"

"Gyu" the younger faced the door "This is really unhealthy, you need to come out of your room. We can talk about it, you're not alone and we're sorrowful as well.."

No response

The older told his troubled cousin, "If only we knew someone who had the intangibility ebys or something, so we can go through the walls." Tears were welling up in his eyes "But if this continues, he's going to die as well, of dehydration"

"BEOMGYU!" he was banging on the door again.

Yeonjun started massaging his temples, 'Think YJ think! You are the smartest in this world, way smarter than Taehyun was for a fact.

Think! What could make Beomgyu get out of his room?

Or maybe there's a way to forcibly open the door...

"I have a plan. I'm calling Soobin" Yeonjun said while dialling his number.

Yeonjun put the phone to his ear and while it was ringing, he added more to what he said priorly "he can't go through walls but he can surely see through them, he needs to come with his little sister"

25 minutes later, the doorbell rang,

The two males opened the door.

"We came as fast as we could." Soobin said panting a little while he was holding the hand of his 7 years old sister.

"Upstairs." Yeonjun said and gestured to follow them.

"So do you see it?" The oldest asked while Soobin was staring at the door of the bedroom.

The room was kind of dark but he saw exactly what they were looking for.

He kneeled down to his sister and said in a soft voice "Put your hand right here" he stretched her hand to the bedroom door and placed it on a specific spot. "There is a key on the floor slightly to your left. Do you think you can retrieve it for us?"

The little girl nodded, closed her eyes and concentrated.

She has the attraction ebys. Her hands are like magnets and she can attract metallic objects towards her.

"Got it!" She said in a tiny voice, as she took hold of the key that slid under the door.

"Good job!" Her brother gave her a high five.

The oldest of the four bowed "Thank you so much..."

Yeonjun took the key and hastily opened the door. The three boys hasten to the bed where the raven haired was lying all miserable.

The 7 years old was clueless but she soon saw a teddy bear in the bedroom and skipped towards it.

Beomgyu's older brother quickly opened a water bottle and forced the liquid into the other's mouth.

Soobin drew the curtains and opened the window for some fresh air and daylight.

Beomgyu was weak-headed and had eye bags from crying and lack of sleep. Taehyung hugged him tightly "Gyu I'm so sorry! I knew all along"

The little girl approached them then stared at Beomgyu "Is Oppa sad? We need to eat ice cream together then!"

Yeonjun nudge the blue haired "I think we should give them some privacy"

Soobin nodded and grabbed his little sister's hand and they all left the room.

"...Why didn't you tell me..?" Beomgyu asked while looking dead inside. "The last words that he told me were 'See you' can you explain why I loved such a senseless liar? I will never see him again.."

Taehyung stroked his back hair "Gyu I... Taehyun just didn't want you to know... He learned the day before that that would be his last day. He told me everything when he came over that time"

Beomgyu wasn't having it. "B-But why though? Why you and not me?" He felt like crying again but he kind of used up all of his tears these past 3 days.

'Because we fought? I wish we never did. All I ever wanted to be was his boyfriend... But I've been such a coward. I wish I could've told Tyun-ah how much he means to me. Let him know that his absence is killing me.'

Taehyung tried to pull away but the younger wasn't letting that happen "Hyung why?! Why has he done this to me?!"

The older gently drew him back and smiled faintly "I know something that could make you feel better" He then gave him a folder that he was hiding behind his back. The same folder that Taehyun was carrying around. "I'll give you some time with it okay?"

He ruffled his hair and made sure that he was carrying the key before leaving the room.

Beomgyu opened it and saw three sheets of paper and a picture. He began reading one of the sheets.

*Yo Beomgyu you better stop being such a pathetic crybaby or I'll somehow come back and hit you in the head with a hammer.*

Beomgyu chuckled lightly, his first laugh in a while. 'This is so Taehyun' he thought.

*Well if you're reading this it means that, well that I'm dead first of all*

*and that your brother did his one job and gave this folder to you. Your birthday is in almost a month but I won't be there, which is why there's a picture of me in the folder. It's your gift. Deal with it.*

*You have this weird habit of staring at me so here's a picture that will last way longer than myself. Look at it whenever you want! Don't thank me.*

"Is he serious right now?"

*I also put the actual sad song that I wrote (in the folder). I finished writing it and I think it's pretty good, can you present it to my half brother during music class for me?*

*I just wanna say that I knew for a fact that I was going to die on the 28th of January.

If you want to know why I know, why and how I even died, when I wrote this letter,...*

*There's normally a third sheet of paper in the folder, where Huening Kai explained everything in detail to you. Normally. haha.

He had to give me that favour.*

*I guarantee you that literally every question you have is answered in that sheet.*

*I wish I could tell you what the afterlife is like but I obviously don't know at the time that I'm writing this. But I wanna assure you that I'm probably okay!*

*Remember the clothes that you gave me that one night where I had to change? I actually kept them because they belong to someone special

Someone that I don't like but who's still special!*

*Why did you think I wanted to do cleaning duty with you? I had to spend my last moments with my half-witted Beom hyung heh.*

*Also, I wanted to kiss you really badly..

No homo.

But I ended up hugging you instead.*

*Ah I regret it!

Ok I'm already over the regret, took me a nanosecond.*

*Now stop crying, forget about me and get on with your life, you worthless bastard.*

Beomgyu felt his tears slowly dropping one by one, is this really how things are going to end?

How is that blonde okay with dying at such a young age? He was so upset that Taehyun didn't say anything but was also so glad and thankful that he wrote this letter to him. It really made him feel one million times better.

Taehyun talked about something that Huening wrote for Beomgyu, where every single thing is explained.

But the raven haired actually didn't want to read it yet. He just... didn't feel ready, there are probably a lot of shocking things written on there.

Maybe one day.

Beomgyu grabbed the picture that was in the folder and made a broken smile 'There's no way that I can move on but... if that's what's you wish, I'm willing to try'

'Wait... but what did he mean by he wanted to kiss me?'
