She had been homeschooled since thoughts could remember, and her crazy cinematic famous parents had never, not once, mentioned any of her relatives, for a reason she couldn't depict. Despite the millions of times she'd asked as a youth, her parents had never even told her who her very own grandparents were. Until Charlotte was sent away to stay with them.
When both of her parents are obligated in duty to spend a year in Europe for their new TV series, Charlotte is reluctantly sent away to stay with her unkown grandparents on an Island she'd never heard about. While she braces to live with two strange, hippy-spirited, unfamiliar old people whom she's supposed to be related to, she finds herself standing along the shores of what they call the "Outer Banks".
Although having zero persistence of absolutely anything, Charlotte quickly realizes that things are far different from what she's used to in New York. It only took four teenagers to explain.
It also only took those same four teenagers to whisk her away on the wildest summer of her life.
