Chapter 22

“I don’t want to talk “, she whispered seductively.

“I need you again”, she said and tried to kiss him, but he stopped her.

“After the heat is gone, you will tell me, or I’ll make you, and I do have my ways”, his voice was seductive.

“Yes, now love me...”

It was four days that they were in their room and Lotta’s heat was almost gone.

But, Drake hasn’t forgotten his promise or her words, he wanted the truth, and he needed it.

Now, they were sitting on the bed, looking at each other, while Drake waited for her to open up to him.

She watched him, tears streaming down her face, realizing that she couldn’t hide it anymore from him.

Her heart was beating fast, but she needed to trust him and let her emotions out, in this important moment of their lives.

So, she did.

Drake’s face paled when he found out the truth, which she told him, through her mind.

He could see all the pain that she went through in her young life and the anger boiled inside him.

He felt that someone hurt her, but he could never imagine that it would be Agatha who did it.

They weren’t as good as before, yes, but that kind of hatred, he couldn’t understand.

“You’re in heat now and I won’t leave you, until that pass, but this won’t stay on this, you do know that, don’t you Lotta?“He tried to calm his deep voice, but she knew better.

“I’m trying to understand why that happened, and I can’t, ” he said.

“What the hell was her reason for that, to do such a thing?!”

“I’,m sorry that you needed to go through all that, my love, I’M SO SORRY”, Drake’s voice cracked.

“The garden”, she said quietly.

“What?” He asked, stunned.

“I refused to let her friends into the garden, with the fountain, because for me that’s a sacred place, especially now”, she explained.

“But I don’t think that was a real reason”, she said.

“So do I”, he confirmed.

“I don’t know what is wrong with Agatha, but I don’t like it, and I need to say that I can’t trust her no more because she gave me a reason to doubt her”, he said.

“That was far before I found out about this”, he told her.

“What is going on, why are you blocking me suddenly?” Lotta asked Drake, watching how he was thinking about something.

“I don’t know, but Victor told me that Agatha can’t be found anywhere”, he was surprised but worried.

“I don’t like this”, she said to him.

“That makes two of us”, he said, but suddenly, screams and fire shots were heard from outside.

Something bad was going on, and they both felt it.

“Stay here and don’t come out until I tell you to”, he told her, put his trousers on, and left the room.

“The hell I will”, she said and jumped out of bed, to get her clothes.

She opened the door and saw two guards were still there.

“Luna, forgive me, but Alpha ordered that you stay in your room”, one of them told her.

“Well, that’s too bad, because I don’t give a shit!. She was upset.

How long are you standing there, anyway?” She asked them.

One of them coughed.

“For days my Luna”, the guard said, calmly.

Lotta closed her eyes for a second, realizing that they were there the whole time while her heat lasted.

“You are dismissed, you are coming with me,now”, she ordered.

“Yes Luna”, they both said and followed her.

“We found him near the border, scouting”, Viktor said, while he and Jules were holding a rogue, which they captured.

Drake was angry like hell.

“And the others, where are they?” He asked.

“I guess they run when the shooting started, because he was in our territory”, Jules said.

“Who was shooting?” Drake asked.

“They did”, Viktor answered.

“Where are your father and your sister, I can’t find anyone?!” Mary was scared when she appeared at the doorway.

“Mother, what are you doing here, get back to your room, now”, Drake told her.

“What do you mean father isn’t there?” He was confused.

“Your sister wasn’t at home a whole day, four days ago, then, today she was gone again, and your father was looking for her”, Mary said.

Suzy was there in a second.

“Suzy, go with my mother’s maid and tell her to stay with her until I say otherwise, and you go to Lotta and do the same”, Drake ordered.

“ictor will send the guards to their floor.”

“What the hell is going on here?” Lotta asked, surprised by the sight.

“I ordered you to stay and watch your Luna”, Drake yelled at the guards.

He was worried now for her, more than for his father or sister, because she could be a main target here.

“You know that’s impossible to do, besides, four days is quite enough for them in front of our door, don’t you think?” She told him, knowing he would understand what she was talking about, and if the situation wasn’t that serious, he would probably laugh, but it was too serious now.

On that rogue’s face could see a vicious smile, for what he saw, and he was looking at Lotta like he knew her.

Drake saw it, so did she, and he knew he had right.

They came for her, and Agatha was a part of this.

“You two take him to the dungeon, I’ll deal with him later”, Drake ordered.

“You, my love, are coming with me since I’m not letting you out of m sight”, he told her.

“And you two are also coming with your Luna”, he ordered the guards.

Our warriors will wait for us there.”

“Where are we going?” Lotta asked him.

“To find my father, near the border”, Drake said.
