âNo Mary, I told you whatâs happened and that was not okay, from her side.â
âThatâs not the way we raised her!â Alpha Tod was angry when he was speaking with his Luna, in the office.
âI do not understand why are you defending that girl, more than your daughter, our daughter!â Mary said to him.
âSheâs in sensitive years now and you should be supporting her.â
âSheâs 19, what delicate state?â
âYou allowed her too much, thatâs the problem, and the problem is that I watched all, and didnât do anythingâ, Alpha Tod said.
âYou say that because she is adopted!â Mary was angry.
âAre you insane ,Mary?â
âI love Agatha more than I could love my own child!â
âHer late father was my best friend and a great Alpha, you know thatâ, he lowered his tone now.
He remembered that time when the rogues killed a small pack, whose leader was the late Alpha Thomas, and Agatha was the only that survived.
Luna Mary, however, after she gave birth to Drake, couldnât conceive anymore, so it could be said that it was a blessing, the same way that it was a sad part of their life.
That was 19 years ago, and they both loved Agatha like she was their own, Luna Mary was too sensitive when it came to Agatha.
Alpha Tod knew that, but now it had become too much, his wife wasnât aware of that, or she didnât want to accept it.
Thatâs whatâs worried him.
âLuckily for us, Lotta is a great fighter, and a person, because it would be a disasterâ, he told her.
âI was wrong when I degraded her into Omega, and I regret that now, but Drake is a smart young man and he will be a great Alpha, with a great Luna.â
âYou know Iâm right Mary, you just having a hard time admitting itâ, his voice was compassion.
Maryâs eyes were in tears.
âI know sheâs not like her, itâs not possibleâ, she whispered.
âThe fact that Agathaâs mother was a rogue, doesnât change anything, he said.
âShe has her fatherâs blood, and Tamara wasnât rogue when she gave birth to her, you know that fact, Maryâ, he was trying to stay calm in this situation and also, calm his Luna.
That doesnât mean that he wasnât worried, because he was, that was the problem.
Tamara met Thomas living as a rogue, it was in her bloodâ, Luna Mary said.
âThatâs nonsenseâ, Alpha Tod said.
âA lot of rogues met their mates in packs and stayed together, and the other way around, that doesnât prove anything, because Tamara was immature, she was only 18 when she gave birth to Agathaâ, he said.
âAn then she left her, running away into her old pack of rogues, and get killedâ, Luna said.
âShe wasnât that much older than Agathaâ, she told him.
âMary, stop, please.â
âThis conversation doesnât lead nowhere, he said, firmly.
âWhat we have done was wrong, but so was our daughter, and we both know that.â
âFrom now on, we must watch her, more than ever, but she also needs to take the consequences for her behaviorâ, he said.
âDo not agree on everything that she asks you to, thatâs final, and also, sheâs grounded, for a long timeâ, he finished.
âSheâs going to train, and stay at he house, until she decides if she wants to go to college, oruntill she meets her mate, I donât care.â
âYou canât do thatâ, she opposed him.
âI just did, Mary, so deal with it.â
âWhen she comes here now, she will hear all that Iâve said to you, without excuses for anything, because I wonât hear itâ, he warned her.
âIn fact, she should be here long time agoâ, he said, wondering.
The thing was that Agatha was there, the whole time, in front of the door, but they didnât know that.
They were busy arguing about her, and she heard it, just when she was ready to knock on the door.
It was about her real father, then a mother, who left her.
She was the daughter of a rogue!
Adopted.
Her entire life crashed in a second, because for 19 years, she believed in something that wasnât real, didnât exist.
She wasnât real, because it was all a lie.
Yes, she was the daughter of an Alpha, but he was dead, just like her rogue mother, her real mother, not the people inside, which she thought they were.
She didnât even have a brother!
That was a lie too.
Every single minute, every second of her existence was a big, fat lie, which she wonât forgive.
They should tell her a long time ago.
Maybe she could accept it, and deal with it...no.
She canât.
Just that she couldnât accept the fact that a simple fighter was her destined mate, even if he was the best in the pack.
She was Alphaâs daughter and she deserves an Alpha mate.
She deserves everything and more, but now Lotta has that, as always.
She had attention, an Alpha mate, strength, and position that she should have.
Agatha was mad.
Mad, and bittered.
She wanted that, all of that, and she will have it, one way or another.
She wanted to scream and cry, but she wouldnât do that, no.
Her revenge will be much bigger than that.
Her mother was a rogue, and she had a pack too.
Someone must have remembered her.
She will find them, and have her revenge, but for now, she needed to play smart.
To be a good and obedient girl, like she was always.
Well, not always, but, she can act, she always could, when she wanted something from Mary.
Now, all she needed to do was to go there and listen carefully to what Tom and Mary wanted to tell her.
