CH 6

Chapter 6 – Recovery with Universal Heal

I lay down on the wooden bed.

…It hurts. My back is creaking. I slept on a fluffy bed in the imperial castle, so this is tough. Tomorrow, I should lay down straw or… at least grass. It hurts all over my body like this, it’s really tough.

“Skor, it might be hard to sleep tonight, but please endure it.”

“Y-Yes… this is hard.”

“Yeah. At times like this, I miss the castle a little.”

“What kind of life did Rasty-san lead in the castle?”

Skor suddenly asked such a question. I could have ignored it, but for some reason, I felt like talking.

“I spent my days lazily. Sleeping and eating… sleeping and eating…”

“That’s sloppy.”

“Well, I’m the third prince. I had nothing to do. Well, there was a matchmaking meeting, but I refused.”

“Why? You could have gotten married or something.”

“I’m not interested in sharing my fate with anyone. But I think it’s a little different now. My position has changed, and even my values have changed. Now I find it fun to be with someone.”

As I spoke my true feelings naturally, I realized something. What am I saying to Skor? So embarrassing!

“I’m glad. Rasty-san was were interested in me.”

“W-Well… You’re my only companion on this uninhabited island… and it might be a long time from now on, so I’ll cherish it.”

“Ehehe, I’m so happy!”

That’s right, I have to cherish her.

Eventually, I’m going to develop this uninhabited island and turn it into a “country”. At that time, If Skor was by my side, I’d probably have another sense of accomplishment.

In order not to disappoint her, I’ll do my best and struggle.

My back made a cracking sound.

My bones were creaking.

My muscles were even sore, and I had become a stiff person. That’s right, yesterday was the day I worked hard for the first time, using muscles I hadn’t used before. Of course, this is what happens to me, who lack exercise… Darn it, everything hurts.

“Good morning, Rasty-san. Wait, why do you look like a monster?!”

“Sorry… My body hurts here and there.”

“You must be tired. I understand, leave it to me.”

With both hands facing me, Skor chanted something. Then I was surrounded by a green aura. My scratches and fatigue disappeared at once.

“This is… magic?”

“Yes, it’s recovery magic ‘Heal’.”

Well, Skor is an elf, so she can use magic! My body instantly became lighter and the pain disappeared. This is great!

I feel refreshed and amazing.
