CH 5

Chapter 5 – Hut Complete

Since the necessary materials were few, I quickly collected them. On the border with the forest, a little distance from the sea, there was a space where a hut could be built.

I activated my skill there.

With a flash of light, a splendid hut was built in just three seconds. I never thought I could do it so easily. What amazing power!

“Seriously…! I wonder what the inside of the hut looks like.”

The exterior was perfect, but what about the inside? I couldn’t help but worry if it was just a façade… Such anxieties flood my mind. I stood in front of the wooden door.

Now, what would be inside?

When I opened the door…

Oh, the inside is also perfect.

As expected of a hut, it’s small, but there’s enough space for two people to sleep comfortably. There’s also a small place to put our belongings, and it might be good for storing food. That’s a relief. For now, it looks like we’ll be able to get a good night’s sleep.

I managed to secure a place to live somehow.

After completing the hut, while waiting outside the entrance, Skor returned carrying what seemed to be food.

“Rasty-san, thi-this is…!”

“Hahaha, how is it! You must have been surprised!”

“…How did you build such a splendid hut? It’s amazing…”

“This is my skill.”

“I-I see, it was true. I now have a higher opinion of you, Rasty-san!”

“It’s not that big of a deal… Anyway, let’s go inside for now.”

When invited her inside, Skor was surprised once again.

“Wow! It’s a real wooden house, isn’t it!”

“The ceiling is high, so it shouldn’t feel cramped.”

“Yes, it’s even better than I expected. There are wooden beds and a food storage too.”

“We can now live at the bare minimum level. Let’s do our best in this hut for the time being.”

“Yes, it’s already a blessing to be able to live in such a nice hut.

There are probably wild monsters and a lot of bugs outside. Camping is too risky. We would definitely be attacked and could catch some unknown disease.

“So, did Skor manage to obtain some food?”

“Yes, these are nuts. These are raspberries that are used to make jam in the elven country of Borodin, so they are sweet and delicious even when eaten as they are.”

“Oh, that’s great.”

After receiving some, I put food in my mouth for the first time in a while. Mmm! They were sweet and sour and delicious. So good… tears flowed down my face.

I’m glad Skor is here.

Without her, I wouldn’t have been able to secure enough food. With Skor around, it seems like we won’t have to worry about food. But it’s not good to rely on her too much, so I’ll have to be self-sufficient too.

That means I need farmland, huh.

Hmm, in any case, I think we need ‘water’ first. Anyway, today’s achievements are ‘swamp’, ‘hut’, and ‘fruit’. Not bad, right?

Alright, let’s conserve our energy for today and prepare for tomorrow.
