Chapter 41 â Little Sister Learning Sewing Skills
My helpful little sister1Â gave me the âUninhabited Island Development Skillâ, provided me with Gale Tulle, and gave me various advice and even strengthened me at times. Sheâs really handy to have around.
Although her true identity is still unclear⦠for the time being, she is generally known and feared as the âDemon Lord.â I had no interest and didnât even know about it.
With such a little sister, I was walking through the forest towards the cave.
âHey, Havamar.â
âWhat is it, big brother?â
âWhy do you have cat ears? And how did you get that slime cushion in the house?â
âThese cat ears are a costume itemâ¦itâs my favorite, so I equipped them.â
A costume item?
So there are things like that.
âAnd what about the cushion?â
âHmm. I have the âSewing Skillâ.â
âSewing Skill?â
âYou can make clothes, cushions like that, cosplay costumes, and more.â
âI see. I didnât expect you to be able make clothes.â
Apparently, it seems to be one of Havamarâs hobbies, and she has acquired such skills. Well, if my clothes are torn, I wonder if I can have them repaired.
âShall I make clothes for you too, big brother? It might be a good idea to change that prince outfit soon as well.â
âThatâs right, Iâm no longer a prince of the empire, and I want to dress appropriately for this island. If you need materials or anything, just let me know and Iâll collect them.â
âBasically, we need âthreadâ but unfortunately weâre already out of it. The way to get it is, we either need to defeat monsters that drop âfine hairâ or use the raw material âcottonâ dropped by plant monsters.â
Thatâs quite a difficult request. Well, Iâll consider it lucky if we can get it while exploring the cave. In the first place, what kind of monsters drop âfine hairâ or âcottonâ anyway?
âPlease tell me.â
âThere are many types of monsters that drops âhairâ, like the âPink Netherland Dwarf,â for example. But theyâre cute, so I get angry if someone defeat them!â
âWell, I canât tell what they are just by their names.â
She puffed her cheeks and placed her hands above her ears around her temples, moving her hands up and down, and I realized she was mimicking a rabbit.
I see. Itâs a rabbit-type monsters that drops âhairâ? Thatâs hard to defeat even for me. And, Havamar will hate me for it. Itâs a no-go.
âWe have no choice but to defeat the plant monster âMandragoraâ.â
âOh yeah, Iâve heard of that. Itâs the one that screams when you pull it out.â
âIt probably inhabits this island too.â
Then letâs defeat the Mandrake.
I hope it appears somewhere.
â
We finally arrived at the cave.
Last time, I defeated the giant boar âGrimbrustiâ. Although no pitfalls remain, the marks of its destruction were still visible.
The inside of the cave⦠seems to be calm.
Alright, with this, it looks like we can mine for âiron oreâ.
TN: If you miss the footnote: â義妹â the author uses this to refer to Havamar, which translates to younger sister-in-law or stepsister, which technically, she is his little sister.
