Chapter 28 – Item Box Problem

The house I built had a garden, and there was enough space to create flower beds. I head towards the door and open it. For the first time, I entered the “house”.

This is a commoner’s house.

I’m excited.

When I entered, I was greeted by a calm, simple and modern space. Plenty of wood was used, and there was a pleasant scent of wood.

It was still an empty room, but it was spacious enough for four or five people to relax comfortably.

“Oh～, this is the living room.”

Skor raised her voice and looked around the interior restlessly. On the other hand, Havamar let out a sigh and said, “She’s so restless～.”

“Because it’s a house, a house… wait, who is this silver-haired cat-eared girl?!”

I told Skor about Havamar. At that moment, she was so surprised that her eyes were about to pop out. Oi, oi, I think she was way too surprised.

“Is the kitchen equipped with a bath and toilet as well?”

On the other hand, Havamar was checking each and every place. Or rather, she seemed very interested. It seemed that even the girl who claimed to be my little sister1was experiencing this kind of house for the first time. So am I, actually.

Well, this is great. I never thought my skills could create such a living space. If I seriously develop it, I might be able to turn this island into a country.

I asked Alfred, who was crying next to me, about his feelings.

“Are you so happy that you’re crying, Alfred?”

“Yes… I was so overjoyed that my tear ducts broke. To think that Young master has grown so much.”

“Don’t praise me like that, it’ll make me embarrassed.”

“In addition, it feels nostalgic.”

“Nostalgic?”

“Yes, it’s just like my parent’s house. I felt like I had come home, and partly because of that, I couldn’t stop crying.”

I’m glad it’s being appreciated that much. It was worth making it. Anyway, enough with the excitement, I also checked out the first floor. In addition to the living room, there was one free room, and on the second floor, there were four more rooms.

“As for room assignments, everyone can stay on the second floor. My room will be the one on the right after going up the stairs, and next to it will be Skor’s. On the left side from the stairs will be Havamar’s room, and next to it will be Alfred’s.”

There were no objections.

Both Skor and Alfred seemed to be relaxing in their new rooms. I will check my own room later, but for now, I needed to talk to Havamar, who was lounging on the red slime cushion in the living room.

“Hey, Havamar.”

“What is it, big brother?”

“Huh… big brother?”

“Well, in a sense, you are my big brother. Since we’re going to be living together from now on, you’re my big brother.”

When she said that with such a cute voice, I couldn’t resist. But wait, I don’t have a little sister… It’s true that I was a loner and didn’t have a little sister. I had two stepbrothers, the first and second princes… I see, so I had a long-lost little sister (?)

“Rather than that, please tell me. About the item box function of Gale Tulle, its limit is ‘1000’ in terms of numbers. Can it not be increased any further?”

“Well, stones are heavy with a weight of ‘3’. Wood has a weight of ‘1’, and soil has a weight of ‘2’, so each item has a different weight. Food is generally light with a weight of ‘1’, but the value increases depending on the amount.”

So, until I built a house, it was just barely within the “1000” limit. If I’m going to develop the island further and create defense facilities that require more materials, the current item box capacity would be insufficient.

“Then, how about having Skor or Alfred act as luggage porters.”

“I see. Havamar, I’ll leave it to you.”

“Why me!?”

“You’ve been relaxing up until now, so it’s time for you to work.”

“Kuu~… So I’m going to be a porter. Well, it’s okay, even with this, I have three times the item capacity of an average person… leave it to me.”

With a proud expression, Havamar puffed out her chest. It seemed that she was willing to cooperate. She was surprisingly straightforward and adaptable, which was a relief.
